I'd like to put it out there, that Savannah and Juice were not together while she was in Charming, not officially. They agreed to figure out what was between them when they came back for school. That being said, Juice did sleep with Mel while he was with her. He's not innocent in this. I'd like to also make it clear, there won't be a triangle, not really. Juice doesn't love Mel, and Savannah isn't conflicted over Kozik and Juice. I'd like to point out that if you don't like Savannah, you don't have to read. There's so reason to post a review for a story you don't like.
Thanks for all the reviews though, you guys make me laugh. Kupkake was a big help to figuring out what's coming up. Oh, and spoiler alert, the Charming crew will be making an appearance in NY soon. ;P I do not own anything in this chapter, besides Savannah, everything else belongs to their rightful owners.
Chapter 25
#%$^^$%^%&*
Waking up in the morning, Juice felt like he was dreaming still. His mind felt hazy, out of body even. Looking over, the brunette from his dreams was still there. She was real. Leaning closer, he got a good whiff over her shampoo. Yeah, she was definitely real. They'd rung in their New Year making love. Love. Shit, he'd told her he loved her.
She hadn't known what to say to him, and he didn't blame her. He didn't even know what to say now. Did that mean things changed? Did he even mean it? It could have been just the heat of the moment.
Shaking his head, he knew that was lie before he even finished the thought. He loved Savannah Teller, and if he knew anything for a fact it was that. Brushing back her hair, he smiled at the sight of her sleeping face. She looked so calm, no sign of the stress he occasionally saw on her face.
She was beautiful. Perfect, and she was all his.
At least he hoped so.
There was still a lot to figure out. Where he was going to stay, where they stood now that they'd done this, now that he'd confessed what he did to her. As much as he'd love to crash on her couch, maybe even in her bed with her, he knew there was a slim chance of that happening.
They weren't even dating, at least he didn't think so. Last night changed a lot of things, they just had to figure out what those were. Even if they were now, they weren't going to rush into this and move in together.
"You're staring at me. It's creepy." Savannah's voice pulled him from his thoughts.
Chuckling, he couldn't help the big goofy grin from breaking out on his face. He hadn't meant to be staring at her while he was lost in thought. He thought she was dead to the world too. "It's suppose to be romantic in those trashy movies you watch." He said, brushing back her hair from her face.
Her laughter filled the room then. She laid up, laying on his chest as she ran a hand through her hair to push it out of her face. "They're not trashy, and I've only got like three of them. It's Nicolas Sparks, his movies make my ma even shed a tear. Now that's saying something." She defended her movie.
He chuckled, stroking her cheek as he leaned up and pulled her into a kiss. He almost couldn't believe this was happening, but then her tongue slipped into his mouth and his thinking really was the top of his mind. Her lips left his mouth, leaving a trail to his neck as her leg swung over so she was straddling him. "If you think this is gonna get me to watch the Notebook, it's not gonna work, babe." He said, sighing when she sucked on his weak spot.
She pulled back slightly, their faces nearly touching. "Shut up, Ortiz."
"Okay."
Their mouths met again in a heated kiss, his hands finding their way to her hips. Laying up, she bit her lip when his hand slipped between them. His thumb pressed against her clit, two of his fingers slipping inside of her. A strangled gasp left her as her back arched, her hips bucking against his hand as he pumped her.
Her hands pressed against his chest, her nails digging into the skin as she rode his fingers. He stared up at her, watching in amazement as she came undone. Letting her head fall back, a moan left her mouth. She was beautiful, her dark mane of hair falling around her shoulders as she met his eyes again.
He could feel her walls closing around his fingers, she was getting close. He wanted to be inside of her when she got off though. Letting go of her hip, he reached blindly for the box of condoms they were using last night. When he couldn't find it, he turned his head to look. It was there, but just more to the left than he was looking. "Hey. Focus, Juice." Savannah teased, turning his head back before leaning down to capture his lips.
Distracted, his hand stopped his search to thread through her hair, gripping it as he deepened the kiss. Using his weight, he was able to flip them. Taking a moment, he was quick to grab a condom, ripping it open, and slid it onto his length. Looking down at the beautiful girl beneath him, he felt like he could stay here forever. He never wanted to leave.
Pushing in, he groaned at the heat that was wrapping him. She was already worked up and ready for him thanks to him fingering her. She wouldn't last long. Kissing her, he worked himself into a slow, deep, pace. Her hands clung to his back, her nails digging in. He had most of his weight on her, leaning on his elbows to now lay completely on top of her.
His mouth moved to her neck, sucking on the skin hungrily. He bit into her neck when he felt her clamp around him, squeezing him tight. "JC!" A cry left her lips, both from pain and pleasure as she came. "Oh, my god. J-JC, fuck. Yes." She moaned as he rode out her orgasm, sucking on the bruise he near his bite was going to leave. He hadn't meant to do, but he definitely wasn't going to regret it. She was his, now everyone know when they saw them.
Hearing her say his name sent a chill of excitement down his spine. She wanted him, needed him. She was his, after months of trying to win her over. This was real, not just a means of survival. He loved her; loved her body, loved everything that was just . . . her. "Fuck, baby, I can't . . . holy fucking hell." He groaned, his hips picking up speed. She bucked against him, meeting him thrust for thrust.
Resting his head against her shoulder, he was panting as he rammed into her. His hand gripped her hip, the other gripping her hair as their lips met again. Feeling his balls tighten, he knew he wasn't going to last much longer, but he wanted to get her off again. His hand in her hair let go, slipping back between them as he circled her clit. Her body arched into his, her eyes giving her away. She was close, he could see the familiar twinkle in her eyes as they glazed over.
"JC!" She cried out as she came, him grunting as he followed behind her.
They two laid there out of breath, just staring into each other's eyes. He reached up a hand, cupping her face as he stroked her cheek. Kissing her quickly, neither could help the smiles from exploding onto their face. "I love you, Savannah."
And just like that the moment was over.
She didn't know what to say. That was twice now he'd said it, but she wasn't sure if she could say it back. How could she? She had just slept with Kozik last week, and she hadn't told him about it. Yeah, he'd probably slept with Mel, but given his situation, he didn't have much of a choice. Though she doubted he minded the actual sex, but it was sex for food and shelter.
With Kozik, it was revenge sex. She wanted to get back at him when Mel answered the phone instead of him. Granted, it had been a blessing in disguise because that was what made Juice leave, but she didn't know that. Before knowing the whole story, she went to Kozik. She let him use her like a tissue, over and over again.
Juice rolled off of her, laying beside her as he caught his breath. Smiling softly, Savannah watched him. He couldn't know about Kozik, it would break their already fragile relationship. If he knew she'd slept with someone else, someone that would someday probably replace him when she went home for good, it would kill him.
Savannah knew her place, she knew she was gonna be someone's old lady when she went home. She accepted that. Could she be selfish and love Juice? A love that would some day have to be forgotten.
In the back of her mind, she couldn't help but think of that future she'd planned to have with him. The garage, living here in New York. Marriage and kids. Looking at Juice, she could see herself having all of that with him. That would mean giving up her family back in Charming, giving up the future that was already planned for her.
The scariest part was, a part of her was excited over that. A part of her loved the idea of making her own future. It didn't even have to be wih Juice, it just had to be her choice. It had to be something she wanted for herself, not something that was planned for her since she could walk.
Sometimes it felt like she was on an auction at the clubhouse. Like Gemma and Clay were going to just give her to the highest bidder. It wouldn't be the first time Gemma introduced her to some of the guys, giving her little nudges and looks. Maybe that was why she was okay with Kozik using her like a pin cushion he could poke his dick into. It was her choice. She let Kozik fuck her.
"What's going on in that head of yours, Savvy? I can practically see the steam coming out of yours ears." Juice's voice broke her from her thoughts.
He reached over, brushing her hair back with a tired smile. Savannah couldn't help the blush darkening her cheeks as he stroked her cheek. Touching his hand, she returned the tired smile with one of her own. "Sorry, got lost in my head. Get some sleep, I'll make breakfast for us." Laying up, she glanced back to see him giving her a look. "Okay, shut up. I'll go pick up some breakfast at Dunks." She said, pulling on his shirt.
He laid up on his arm, watching as she pulled on her underwear. His eyes lingered on her ass, biting his lip knowing he'd be able to look at it shamelessly any time he wanted now. Watching her stand, he realized how good she looked in his shirt. It fell to her mid-thigh, giving him a good look of her legs. Her hair fell in waves to her mid-back, falling into her face as she tugged on her jeans.
He could definitely get use to waking up to her every morning. He could get use to eating meals with her, hell even showering with her. Watching as she put her hair up, he realized how . . . serious he was thinking. "I'll be back in a few." She said, leaning over to kiss him before taking off.
Juice laid back, returning to his thoughts. This was crazy just thinking about it. Living with a girl he'd only known for a few months, been dating for only a day. As far as he knew though, he wasn't staying here. He'd be back to his car by tonight.
They'd talked about why he was living in his car, but they hadn't really talked about what would happen now that she knew. They were . . . occupied, at the time. Now that he had the moment to himself, he couldn't help but wonder where this left them. She knew all his dark secrets, so does that change where they stand now? Would she let him just go back to living in his car? Living with Mel occasionally wouldn't be an option now.
Glancing at the clock, he remembered that today was his first day back to work at the night club. He'd have to go in a few hours. He'd have just enough time to shower and get something to eat, and maybe if she was up to it another round inbetween the sheets. Getting out of Savannah's bed, was the hardest thing he'd had to do. Her bed was heaven compared to his car. He'd stay here if she'd let him. If it was even an option.
#$%$^&%
Juice came out, wrapping the towel around his waist as the door opened and Savannah came inside with a bag of food. She smiled at the sight of him, especially his wet, naked torso. Seeing a bare chest, naked of hair, was new for her. Most of the men she knew all had hair on their chests, but Juice's was as smooth as a baby's bottom. She liked it. It definitely worked for him.
The fact that he manscaped further down was another turn on. Kozik had a bush. She never minded before, but she could see the perks of being shaved down. Juice was all the more sensitive down there, she knew that from his reactions.
Blushing, she couldn't believe she was just comparing who was shaved and who wasn't, that was as bad as judging who was bigger, and she was not going there. Clearing her throat, she avoided looking at his chest any longer. "So, I know you like those egg sandwiches. I got you one on a croissant cause I didn't know how you took your bagel. I got you coffee too. It's black, but I grabbed lots of sugar and some creamer too." She explained, pulling everything out of the bag.
Her blush came full force when he moved behind her, touching her hip as he reached around her to grab his sandwich. "Thanks, babe." He said, kissing her cheek before he took a bite of his sandwich.
Savannah bit her lip, hesitating before opening her mouth. "Hey, I got the paper too. Maybe there's some apartments open."
Juice paused mid-bite of his sandwich. His entire body stiffened. He should have seen this conversation coming, he just didn't think it'd be the morning after. How could he tell her he was so poor, there wasn't a chance in hell he'd be able to get an apartment? He didn't want to be that guy though. He didn't want to fish for pity from her. It was exactly why he didn't want to to tell her in the first place.
Scratching the back of his neck, he knew he needed to tell her something. She was waiting for an answer. "Sav, it's just . . . there's a reason I'm living in my car right now. Between books and shit for classes, food, clothes, car payments, and not to mention fuckin' gas, I've got nothing to spare." He explained, hoping he didn't need to get any more into detail about it.
It was embarrassing enough last night when he had to tell her everything, it wasn't any better now. From the look on her face, he knew she understood though. "JC, you can't stay in your car anymore. You'll get yourself killed. You've been lucky so far, but what happens when your luck runs out? I can't stand the thought of you freezing out there and me all toasty in here." She said, wishing he'd at least hear her out.
This was exactly what he didn't want though. He didn't want her feeling guilty. He didn't want her to pity him and treat him like a charity. The last thing he wanted was the girl he loved to pity him. "I've been surviving this long, Sav. I can last a little longer." He said, wishing she'd just drop it now.
Savannah wasn't convinced though. What did Juice think was gonna happen? He'd graduate and suddenly be able to get rich quick? It didn't work like that, she knew that much. Everyone had to start somewhere, and unfortunately for Juice, he was starting at rock bottom. "JC, you can't get another job. You're already gonna run yourself into the ground from exhaustion. You might think what you've been doing has been working, but it's not." She said, standing up from her seat at the table.
His jaw twitched in frustration. She didn't know what she was talking about. She was just some small town princess who got everything she wanted. She didn't have to worry about not having a place to sleep or having to choose between food or something warm to wear.
That wasn't her fault though, he realized. This was just the jealousy talking. They'd moved past this. This wasn't helping him any. It didn't solve his problem of having nowhere to go. He just needed to let it go. "So what do you suggest then?"
That was the hard question, wasn't it? If she wasn't going to support his idea, she'd need one of her own. One that was better. Looking around the room, she was trying to think of some way she could convince him not to stay in his car. She stared off for a good few minutes before it came to her. "You'll move in with me." She blurted out.
Say what now?
#$%^^&^
It was nearing the 9 already that night. They'd pretty well spent the entire day wrapped in each others arms and the sweat dampened sheets, but it was time to say goodbye. He'd be back though, at least he thought he would be. She'd offered for him to move in, but there was just so many what ifs.
What if it was just a heat of the moment offer for one thing? She hadn't brought it up again and made it clear he could stay. Juice felt dread in every muscle of his body as he pulled on a tight black shirt, the standard club outfit, and pulled on his jeans. He paused whenever he got to his shoes frowning down at the sneakers he'd stuffed into his bag.
They were brand new, and they were making him guilty just looking at them in Savannah's apartment. He yanked the stickers off of them before lacing them up with her watching him dress. "So um, I'll see you after work though, right?" He had to ask.
Savannah gave him a coy little smile twirling a piece of her hair around on her finger. "Maybe."
Juice's heart plummeted then he grinned when she laughed at how down he'd gotten. "Just making sure you're not ditching me on that offer."
"Not yet. We still have a lot of catching up to do." She told him with a wink as she rose to her feet to carry their glasses into the kitchen.
"So, you're just going to hang out here?" He asked innocently enough.
Savannah shrugged, wrapping the sides of her robe around her petite body as she leaned back against the sink. "I'm not sure yet. Sky wanted to know if I was back in town yet. Maybe we'll drop by."
Juice had been hoping she'd say that. The idea of leaving her apartment without a real invitation back was weighing heavily on his mind. They still hadn't solidified any plans for after Christmas break but he had high hopes. There was the offer earlier, but he wasn't sure she was serious or not. He'd never come right out and say anything; but that didn't mean he wasn't thinking about his own shoes lined up next to hers in the closet, or leaving his own body wash in the shower.
"I gotta get goin." He sighed, his accent thick and heavy when he spoke.
Savannah loved to hear it. The way he had a Yankee drawl going on when he was in a mood like he was now. "I'll see you before you know it."
Juice reached down to grab his gym bag, but she subtly inched it away with her foot. "Oh, am I coming back?" He grinned.
"I was hoping."
There was his answer. Had she'd been serious about her offer? Yeah, yeah, she'd was.
