Chapter 25: My little rose bud

"Well, here we are!" Vanilla said as she and the girls got to the front door of her house, which was a wooden 2-story cream house with 4 windows, not mentioning the chao garden on the backyard.

For those who don't remember, previously, Tails had modified a shock taser so that if you got shocked by it you would fall in love with the first person you see, and he was going to use it on Sonic as a revenge for all the jokes he played on him in the entire week. As you would imagine, everything went upside down for almost everyone involved in the matter and now, because of all the trouble he had made the crew pass by (especially Syra and Ralik) he had to spend the weekend with Cream as Taylor. Well, it wasn't THAT bad, but it surely wasn't going to do her any good...

As for Cream, she was really excited to have a sleepover with an actual mobian, since she didn't had any friends and she only spent her time with Cheese and the other chaos on the garden. As for why she didn't had any friends, well, it was complete mystery for Taylor since she was such a cute and sweet girl.

"I'm so excited! I can't wait to enter and show you the house Taylor. You are going to love it!" Cream said trying to contain her excitement.

"Sure" Taylor replied back with an awkward smile.

"Here, come in girls! "Vanilla opened the door and went inside with both girls. Taylor couldn't help but feel annoyed at being called a "girl".

"Umm... Taylor, are you alright? You don't seem very happy." Cream asked her.

"Yes! I-It's just that I'm a little shy, that's all." She replied with a smile on her face. She didn't wanted to make Cream feel bad, although that would explain why Sonic or anybody of the group didn't told her to behave or that they would be watching her, she wouldn't make Cream feel bad anyways, sure she wouldn't give her the best weekend of her life, but at least make her spend a good time.

"Ok ladies, I will make lunch in 30 minutes. In the meanwhile you two can go and play for a while in Cream's room." Vanilla said heading to her room.

"Yay!" Cream squealed and went running to her room.

"Hey, wait for me!" Taylor ran behind Cream with her baggage in hand.

Cream's room wasn't anything very surprising, besides, Taylor has had seen it before... more or less. It was a pink wooden room with a big bed, a tiny sofa in which both girls could fit, and a TV. Not mentioning all the toys that Cream had in her room, from dolls to board games, all of them stored in her closet. Taylor left her baggage in a corner carefully, because she had brought with herself some beverages. Juice, water, soda, that stuff.

"So, what are we going to play first? With my doll house? Or we could also do makeover to another, oh, I have a better idea! We dress like princesses and we act like this is our castle, isn't that great?" Cream suggested.

Taylor couldn't help but smile sheepishly. All of those ideas were really boring or just plain ridiculous, of course, she didn't wanted Cream to feel bad, but she couldn't just bring herself to play those kind of games.

"Cream, why don't we do something more simple first and leave all of that for later?" Taylor tried to escape of those games.

"Simple? Like what?" Cream asked.

"Well, don't you have any toy cars or board games that we can play?"

"Actually, my mom bought me a Chess set to play with someone else, but since I didn't have any friends to play with I haven't used it since my mom bought it for me, and I don't know how to play it either." She replied. That was really sad, because Cream had never told anyone that she was so lonely. Of course, she had Amy and her chaos, but still, she didn't had anything beyond that. Sonic and her (Taylor) where always busy either saving the world or just having a good time with the gang and they did't noticed such a thing.

"Don't worry, I'll teach you how to play."

"I don't like chess, but ok... Although you have to promise me that after this, we are going to play being princesses, alright?"

"Fine..." Taylor hid her frustration.

Cream had learned how to play chess very quickly, but it didn't helped her in the massacre that Taylor did to her. After all, she had won various chess competitions and she was considered an ace.

"Aww, not fair! You've played this much more than me."

"Have I? Oh well, that explains everything..."

"Well, now that we finished playing chess, it's time to play my game!" Cream squealed with joy."

"Although there is a problem, I don't have any princess outfit with me."

"Don't worry! There are some of mine that are too big for me, I can lend you one." Cream started searching in her close until she found 2 princess outfits a pink one and a cyan one that was bigger. Cream gave Taylor, which wasn't really excited by the idea of being a princess, the cyan one while Cream stayed with the pink one.

Vanilla had called Cream and Taylor to eat some lunch, but they were lasting more than expected. Before she could go and search for them, the girls appeared in the kitchen, and they were dressed like cute princesses, and Cream also got to make up Taylor, which now had red lipstick and light blue eyelids. Cream started giggling as Cheese flew around her wearing a tuxedo (because Cream thought that if he didn't he would feel 'excluded'). Taylor was barely smiling, her smile was so weak that you could only notice she was smiling if you looked at her lips through a microscope.

"Aww, you two look so cute that I could eat you both!" Vanilla giggled, followed by Cream's giggles and Taylor blushing, of embarrassment of course. But Vanilla noticed that Taylor wasn't very happy about it.

"What is it sweetie? Is something bothering you?" She asked Taylor worriedly.

"Uh, no, it's just that... I have never used a princess outfit before, that's all." She replied.

"You don't like it?" Cream asked.

"No- I mean, Yes I do like it!"

"Then there is nothing to worry about, by the way, I have to take you a photo before you eat. Let me get my camera." Vanilla went out of the kitchen to look for her camera. Meanwhile, Taylor wanted that the Earth ate her alive so she wouldn't have to endure this, sadly, the ground wasn't alive. Sigh, where is Dr. Eggman when you need him? She wouldn't know right now as Vanilla returned with her camera. Yep, this was going te be a long day...

"Say cheese!" Cream and Taylor held her hands and smiled for the camera while Cheese, being the classy chao he is, decided to pose for the camera in a way that made him look elegant, and he also drew a fake mustache in his face with a black crayon.

"Aww, you're both so adorable!" Vanilla said looking at the photo, which she also showed to Cream, Taylor and Cheese.

"We look like real princesses!" Cream squealed. "And just look at Cheese, he really looks like a sir!"

"Chao Chao!" Cheese was happily flying around the trio.

"It is such a beautiful photo, isn't it Taylor?" Vanilla asked her. Which, although looked pretty amazed by the photo, was instead dying of embarrassment. I think she could win an Oscar with that performance...

"Yes it is! I would love to show this photo to my friends, they would die of envy!" She said.

"Yeah, well let's play some more before it gets late, right?" Cream suggested.

"Sure." Taylor replied before they both went to Cream's room.

"Please, please, PLEASE, don't let that photo reach Sonic..." Taylor prayed in her mind.

Sonic was checking his e-mail to see if he got any mail. Being the super hero he is, he was bound to get some letters and cards from his fans, and some of them had funny jokes in them, which kept Sonic checking his e-mail whenever he wasn't occupied beating Eggman or taking a jog in the forest.

"Lets see... Oh hey, here's one from Vanilla. By the way, I wonder how Tails is doing over there..." Sonic opened the e-mail and started reading.

Hey Sonic! Vanilla here, I just wanted to tell you that Cream and Taylor are having so much fun together, I wish you where here to see them. Anyway, I also sent you a photo of them, they look so cute! Don't they? Well, that's it for now. I hope you are having fun too!

"Hmm... It's good to know he's at least enjo..." Sonic interrupted himself when he saw Cream and Taylor, dressed like princesses, with Taylor wearing light blue make up in her eyelids and red lipstick.

Sonic tried to hold his laughter for at least 3 seconds, but he ended up cracking like a nut being hit with a falling building.

"This. Is. PRICELESS. HAHAHA" He was already crying of laughter. And that photo surely wouldn't leave Sonic's mind for a long, LONG time.

After playing being princesses with Cream and playing with her doll house, It was finally nighttime and both girls had slipped in her pajamas and went to sleep. Cream's pjs where orange with sunflowers printings all over it. Taylor was lucky to have had bought one when she had the chance, which was just plain yellow. Everything was peacefully quiet, until Cream began to feel thirsty.

"Hey Taylor." Cream whispered. "I'm going to drink some water, I'll be back in a minute."

"Wait, I think... I snuck a... bottle of fresh water... in my baggage..." Taylor said drowsily, as she was very exhausted.

"Ok, I'll go and check out..." Cream turned on the lights, which made Taylor bury herself in the sheets like a vampire hiding itself from the sun, and started searching Taylor's baggage for some fresh water. She finally came across a bottle of water, drank some of it and then put it back in the baggage. But all of a sudden, she started to feel... funny. Her entire body was feeling ticklish.

"Heheh." She laughed a bit before heading to the light switch. But before she turned off the lights again, she took a glance on the mirror and saw some kind of human with green hair that also had rose buds in her head instead of ears.

"Maybe I'm too tired..." She said before turning off the lights and going back to sleep.
