It's a little short, but I am considering in writing more once I'm finished working on my other fanfics. Thank you for reading and for reviewing. Middle of fall

Rin had just finished grading some assignments from her students. She put the cap over her red pen and placed it inside her cup holder. She stretched her arm up in the air allowing her muscles to relax after her strenuous concentration.

A text message shone on her cell phone as she picked it up and looked over the message with a smile. It was Sesshomaru. He asked how her day had been. She instantly replied back to the text, which he responded back with a phone call.

"Sesshomaru, I'm so happy you called me!" Rin exclaimed with a happy gaze.

"It's so nice to hear your enthusiastic voice, Rin." Sesshomaru responded back. He was sitting down in front of his porch steps. He had just gotten out of work and was tired. Hearing Rin's voice was soothing and a warm joy to his life.

"I called because I wanted to invite you out tomorrow. Will you be free tomorrow all day?" Sesshomaru asked Rin. Rin could feel her cheeks grow warm. 'He wants to spend time with me?'

"Umm yes I'm free tomorrow. I would like to spend it with you." Rin answered, feeling shy.

"That's good to hear," Sesshomaru said after releasing his breathe. He hadn't notice he had been holding his breath while waiting for her reply.

"Great, then I'll stop by at your place tomorrow morning around nine." He said confirming their date. Rin nodded before speaking on the phone, "Okay, sounds great. I'll see you then."

"Alright then….goodnight Rin," He said in a soft, sweet voice. He listened to her bashful reply making him smile, before he ended the phone conversation.

It was early in the morning when Rin woke up and checked the weather. It was a cloudy and sunny day, so she chose to wear a colored cream sweater and an orange long skirt. It was already the middle of fall and the weather was chilly, so she wanted to wear something warm. She remembered he said he wanted to be with her all day, she wondered if that included nighttime.

She silently hoped it did as she went into the kitchen and made some breakfast. Sesshomaru had come to pick her up driving his silver sport car, exactly around nine.

They both had a nice conversation in the car as Sesshomaru drove to their destination. It was a two hour trip and Rin didn't find herself getting bored as she loved to have Sesshomaru's company. They talked about how their week had been and even sang some songs together after Rin encourage Sesshomaru to join her singing voice.

The silver sport car finally came to a stop just outside a small town where a road led into the woods, which was surrounded with trees. The autumn leaves were beautiful shades of orange. Rin got out of the car and gazed at the scenery in awe. The view was breathtaking.

She smiled and twirled around to face Sesshomaru taking his hand in her own. "This place is so beautiful. Can we take a walk through the woods?"

"I'm glad you like it. Sure, why not." Sesshomaru replied back. They both started up the pathway still holding hands.

"Ah, look Sesshomaru a squirrel. And, look there's a bird up on that tree branch." Rin pointed out in joy. Sesshomaru enjoyed her laughter and happy chatter. He was glad he could bring her here today.

They both came to a stop down the middle of the road when Rin turned around to face him. She smiled brightly, "Thank you Sesshomaru for bringing here, today."

"I should be thanking you. I'm glad to spend this moment with you, Rin." Sesshomaru confessed as he caressed her cheek. Rin blushed, but drew herself closer to Sesshomaru. She hadn't mentioned it, but she was really happy that they were sporting the same colors. She had always wanted to wear matching couple's outfit. They hadn't planned it, yet it magically happened and Rin found this occasion to be especially memorable.

Sesshomaru inclined down his head as he tilted her face upward with his hand. Her eyelashes fluttered as she closed her eyes. Rin smiled sweetly before feeling Sesshomaru's lips on top of hers. He softly skimmed her lips with his, before the kiss was deepened.

When they both parted from one another, Rin couldn't help but giggle in delight. That had to be their best kiss, yet.

He greeted her excitement with a surprise kiss to her forehead.

"Are you hungry? Why don't we head back to that small town we passed by." Sesshomaru suggested as he tugged at her hand. Rin followed after him, her stomach silently agreeing about being hungry.

"Sesshomaru, can we go buy some sandwiches and eat outdoors. The weather is so lovely today. It would be a waste to eat, indoors." Rin asked glancing up at him. Sesshomaru seemed to contemplate her idea, before replying.

"That sounds like a good idea."

They were soon reaching Sesshomaru's car when they noticed that another car was parked a little off down the road. They glanced at each other questioningly, before recognizing the person getting out of the car.

It was Inuyasha and Kagome.

"What are they doing here?" Sesshomaru voiced in a low voice. He looked annoyed that another couple had come to ruin their alone time. Rin was glad to see her friends but she knew that Sesshomaru wanted to spend some time with just her. She also wanted to spend more time with him.

She squeezed his hand, "Don't worry Sesshomaru. I promised you we would spend the day together. Let's just go and greet them before we make our escape together."

"Alright then," Sesshomaru answered. He was still annoyed at the intrusion, but he was glad to know Rin wanted to escape with him, instead of spend time with company.

They continued to hold hands as they walked up to meet up with Inuyasha and Kagome. An autumn leaf fell down a tree and fluttered along the air with the wind breezing through the attractive sky.
