Hey guys, sorry this isn't a story upload, but I'm working on something that I would like to get you guys involved in!
I have written a new story that lends itself more so to an audible format than a written format, so here is what I'm doing! I'm casting most of the characters for the story I have in mind! If all goes well, I might consider doing some recordings of my already published stories!
That being said, I'll give you a brief rundown of what I said in the Cast Call I posted on YouTube!
(Note: All audition lines will be at the end of this chapter for ease of access)
Characters In Need of Voice Actors:
Narrator - I've often considered doing the narration myself, but if you have a voice that lends itself to narration, I'd be happy to let someone else be the narrator!
Logan - Stoic, Cold, Analytical (Preferably lower pitch)
Roman - Flamboyant, Dramatic
Patton - Happy, Excitable, Hyper (Higher pitch)
Thomas - Honestly, if you can audition for the sides, go ahead and give Thomas a shot as well!
Joan - Preferably gender ambiguous
Talyn - Preferably gender ambiguous (Smaller more demure tone)
Now Deceit is not in this list because he doesn't show up in this particular story, however if I intend to do another story for YouTube, I will do another Cast Call for him!
Also, Virgil isn't on this list, since I intend on voicing him myself; however, if you want to send your own audition for Virgil along with another character, feel free, and I will consider it!
Important Things to Keep In Mind:
1. GENDER DOES NOT MATTER IN THE CASTING DECISION! As long as you can get the inflections that I have listed above, I don't care if you're a guy, gal, or non-binary pal! All auditions are viable!
2. If enough people audition then I will have back-up casts in case the first person has something come up that prevents them from voicing their character! So if you are not cast, there is a chance you could be an understudy!
3. Say you don't want to voice anyone, or you don't get cast, there is still a way for you to get involved as well! Along with the voice actors, I am looking for people to help make an aniamtic to go along with the story! (Depending on how many requests I get for this part will decide how many parts the animatic is split into, or if I will just find someone to make a cover photo for the whole story...because I don't want to put the whole animatic on one person. (I've done animatics before...they aren't easy!)
How To Contact Me:
All auditions must be sent to my e-mail address:

If you are cast however, discussions will be held on Discord, but don't worry about that unless I cast you!
Character Audition Pieces (Please Read the Underlined Parts!):
BE WARNED THERE ARE SPOILERS FOR THE NEW STORY IN MOST OF THESE!
Roman:
Roman had always been one of those people, that when inspiration struck, he wanted to act on it then and there, so as soon as the idea for his next prank entered his mind, he darted off to find his ally. As it turned out, Virgil would be the perfect accomplice for his newest ploy, so now he just needed to work out the details with him, and the prank would be underway. Knocking on his bedroom door, he shifted from foot to foot in anticipation, hoping that his friend would answer sooner rather than later.
After a few moments, Anxiety opened the door, "yo, what's up?"
"I have had a brilliant idea for a prank, but I'm going to need your help to pull it off."
He nodded with a smirk, "okay, well I know for a fact that Patton and Logan are in their rooms, so let's go down to the commons and talk there."
Once they were in the common-room, the darker side just sat down on one of the sofas and looked at him, clearly waiting for an explanation. "Okay, so this prank is going to get everyone."
He lifted an eyebrow, "define everyone."
"Patton, Logan, Thomas, Joan, and Talyn."
"Okay, you've caught my interest," he glanced over to the stairs briefly, "so what's the plan."
"I bought twelve remote-controlled alarm clocks, and this is where you come in. You can teleport, so I need you to go into everyone's rooms and hide three alarms in each room along with a camera." The fight-or-flight reflex just nodded, waiting for him to continue, "once they are all in place, we will wait in a hidden location and set off the alarms one by one, all while recording their reactions on the hidden cameras."
It shocked him that his colleague actually smiled, "okay, when are the alarms going to go off?"
"I want the others to have time to just barely fall asleep between them, so I propose that we do it like this. We set off one for the first target, when they turn it off, we go to the next target, and by the time we get through everyone, the first target will be asleep again, so we hit them again." He had to stop, so he wouldn't start laughing, "ideally, by the end of the night we will have gotten everyone three times."
"I'm down for that, but here's what I'm going to need you to do. I need you to distract the others one at a time, so I can sneak into their rooms and hide the alarms." He glanced at the stairs again, as if worried someone would overhear, "I'll remember where I hid them all, and tell you when we reconvene." He paused for a moment, "the hardest is going to be Thomas, Joan, and Talyn because we have to distract them in the real-world."
"I have an idea…for them; I will hide the clocks while you distract them." He was given an odd look, but the plan was clear in his mind, "you use your teleportation skill to show up outside the front door, then you take the form of Valarie or Jamahl. From there you act like you just decided to drop by on the way to another location, talk to them outside while I hide the alarms, and then pretend to leave before returning to the mind-palace."
Logan:
"Our computers have been wiped," the Prince paused briefly, "was this you?!"
"No, it wasn't me…" Anxiety trailed off for a moment, "hold on, let me go check if my computer has been reset too." After a minute or two he nearly jumped out of his skin at the shout of the youngest side, "Logan, so help me if you don't have the information on my computer backed up!"
Getting to his feet, he walked over to the door, glancing out of it he saw his three comrades, "I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about."
Morality looked as if he were close to tears, "I had so many pictures and memories of us on my computer…even if you didn't pull the prank, please tell me that there is some way to get those back!"
"I'm not certain," he was certain, "did you have any of the images backed up to a cloud or an online source such as e-mail?"
"N-No…" his friend sniffled slightly, "is there any other way to get it back?"
"Well what seems to be the issue with your laptop, perhaps it is something reversible."
The fanciful trait was quick to round on him, "stop playing dumb Logan and admit that you reset all of our computers to factory settings!"
He gave a fake look of confusion, "I have done nothing of the sort; however, if your computers have been restored to factory settings…I'm afraid there is nothing to be done about the loss of the information."
If looks could kill the fight-or-flight reflex would have been his murderer, "you are the only one with enough technical know-how to do this; besides, you are the only one whose computer is unaffected!" Continuing to glare he spoke once more, "you've also broken one of the rules which is not to break or mess up anything you can't replace."
Though two of his colleagues looked ready to kill him, it was the soft sobbing from the eldest aspect that caused him to cave in, "honestly you three, how can you fall for something like this?"
Still crying, Patton looked at him hopefully through his tears, "s-so you can get all of those memories back?"
"Yes, and the scripts, and whatever it is that Virgil is missing," he glanced back to his room, "I didn't exactly look at what was on your computers, I just wiped them."
"How exactly do you plan on giving us all of that back?"
He didn't notice who asked the question as he was already returning to his room when it was asked. Gently so as not to damage them, he took the three external hard-drives from their place on his desk and returned to the corridor. "Each of these holds one of your computer's data, I even took the liberty of color-coding them for you." As he spoke he handed the red one to Roman, light-blue to Patton, and purple to Virgil, "if you plug those into your computers you will find all of your data and settings restored automatically."
Patton (It was hard to find audition lines for him):
The ethical facet gave him a saddened look, "how do you mean son?"
Anxiety stared at the carpet, "she was alone, lost in the dark…just like I was before you all accepted me." He fell silent for a moment, "and revealing my name was a big leap that helped to lead me in the right direction…to becoming a part of the family. That thought was the reason I named her Amaya…it's not your usual pet name, but she needed a title that was representative. Amaya is Basque in origin, and means night rain, which will always remind me of how I found her, and why I took her in." Even though it had been in conversation, the loving feline had recognized not only that he name had been said, but who had said it. She quickly jumped off of Morality's lap, and was now nuzzling the hand of the darkest manifestation. Laying it on the floor in front of her, she climbed up onto his shoulders; her loud purring nearly bringing him to tears.
"She may trust us, but there is no doubt that she knows who rescued her." The voice of the paternal side had lost most of its nasal edge, and was filled with compassion, but he took on a playful nature as well. "Please tell me if I'm right…you've had Amaya for almost six months, haven't you?"
Virgil wasn't the only one who was shocked as he recognized the confusion that glittered in the eyes of his logical and creative counterparts. "How could you have possibly known that? I did everything I could to try and keep that secret!"
"I think some of your steps to keep said secret was what gave it away, such as doing all of your own laundry." Of course the kind trait had caught on to that, he was the one who normally did the mundane house chores, and the fact that he was washing his own clothes would have been as much of a tip off as the alternative. "That's not to mention that I had an allergy attack that morning, and I'm only allergic to one thing kiddo…cats." He nodded in response, and the movie-night was put on hold, as each of them decided that they would rather spend the evening with their newest family member.
Thomas:
Suddenly he felt both bad and enraged, as it turned out, none of his colleagues had touched his cat, but rather his host. Not saying a word, he synced out of the mind-palace, and into the real world. He was hardly aware that the others had swiftly followed him as he had his way up the darkened staircase, rapping his knuckles endlessly on one of the doors. This time a voice quickly followed the action, "wh-who's in my house?!"
"The sides, so get downstairs now!" Not giving the online personality a chance to protest, he turned on his heel and marched back down the steps to his place with the others.
"Pray tell, what is going on?" He turned to face the intellectual who had apparently straightened his glasses.
He didn't have a chance to explain before Thomas began stumbling down the stairs, "guys it's four-thirty in the morning, could this not have waited a few more hours?"
The cheerful trait glanced over to him, obviously trying to somewhat diffuse the situation, "we're here because Amaya has been turned green."
The YouTuber glanced around at them, "okay, so you caught on to the prank…again, why couldn't this have waited a few more hours."
Anxiety rounded on him, "because my normally elegant and somewhat edgy black cat is now bright green!"
Suddenly their host's eyes grew wide, "hold on, did you say your cat?" He merely nodded in response, "ohh…er, I thought the cat was Patton's and that he would find the prank funny." He finally dared to meet the gaze of the negative aspect, "I wouldn't have dyed her green if I'd known she was yours."
He gritted his teeth, "okay, even if I forgive you for turning her green, here's what I want to know…what did you do with her collar?"
"I took it off of her so I wouldn't get dye on it," he glanced back up the steps, "I must have left it on the bathroom counter."
"I'll go get it," he stood, but before walking to find the trinket, he looked to Thomas in confusion, "if you had to take Amaya's collar off…how did you not know that she was my cat?"
He tilted his head slightly, "how would I be able to tell that from a collar?" The darkest facet simply shook his head and started up the stairs.
Joan:
He clicked his remote, "Joan's, because that one is harder to get under."
The beeping, despite being under Joan's couch woke Talyn first, who glanced over to their friend in confusing, "Joan…Joan is that your phone?"
They began to stir at Talyn's voice, looking at their phone, "no…are you sure it isn't yours?"
"I wouldn't set my phone to go off at," they looked down at the screen, "at two forty-five in the morning."
Joan blinked a few times in confusion, "hold on, aren't we in a Prank War of some kind?"
Virgil spoke, through the two in question couldn't hear him, "oh you have no idea!"
Talyn sat up, "we should have known spending the night here during a Prank War was a bad idea…whatever, let's just find the alarm and shut it off."
"Works for me…the sooner we get back to sleep the better," they stood, glancing around. "it sounds like it's coming from behind that painting or something."
They both glanced around the area before Talyn moved further towards the kitchen, "are you sure it isn't on the bookshelf?"
"No…is it under one of the couches?" Joan crouched down as Talyn came back around the corner, "it sounds closer now." The swept their arm under the sofa, pulling out empty water bottles and food containers before they got their hands on the alarm and cut it off. "Got it…I'm going back to sleep now." Talyn simply nodded in agreeance before they both collapsed back onto the sofas.
Talyn:

Narrator (Not underlined as there is no dialogue in this piece, so read the whole thing!)
When he got to his room, he began strategically laying out stage one of his ploy, waiting. If this was going to work as he hoped, he was going to have to lure the others into a false sense of security before enacting the next stage. Thoughts that his actions were reminiscent of who he once was plagued his mind, but he managed to quell them by reminding himself that he wouldn't be hurting his family in any way.
It took three days for the others to stop questioning him about his warning, but he knew that was just because they understood they weren't going to get anything out of him. No matter how quickly they stopped asking, he had already decided to wait a full week, so that the memory of his warning would be fading, but not completely gone. That being said, for the next four days he just laid low and acted normal.
Long after the others had gone to bed on the seventh night, Virgil had everything he needed to begin phase two, and since Logan was the deepest sleeper, he would be the first target. Silently he put everything in place before moving to Patton's room and doing the same. They had been easy enough, but Roman was going to be difficult. He was almost as light of a sleeper as Anxiety himself, but since the sleep-walking incidents a year or so back, he wondered if he could still be woken so easily.
Roman stretched out an arm to shut off the incessant beeping of his alarm, but his hand didn't strike the hard plastic as he had expected. Instead, the sound of crumbling Styrofoam blended with that of the clock. Rolling over, he finally opened his eyes, but he found it hard to believe what he was seeing.
His normally pristine room, fit for a Prince was now buried in at least three feet of packing peanuts. Sitting up he realized that there was no escaping the sea of small s-shaped pieces that covered every surface, including his bed. Briefly, he wondered how his corner of the mind-palace had ended up in such a state, but his attention quickly returned to the beeping of his alarm.
Digging through the Styrofoam, he eventually uncovered his clock and cut off its piercing sound, leaving the room in silence save for the settling of foam. Accepting his fate, he threw his covers back, sending packing peanuts everywhere, but as he stood, his foot intersected with something buried in the sea of greenish white. Moving his hands around just below the surface, he found the top of what felt like a large sheet of cardboard. Turning it around, revealed purple lettering that held one message, 'Welcome to the Mind-Palace Prank War! For more information see Virgil!'
