"Come on Olivia, keep pushing," Dr. Bailey said, encouraging Olivia to continue. It had been twenty minutes of strenuous pushing, panting, and groaning and Olivia was done. She was exhausted, she was in pain, and she was an emotional wreck. "I can see his head Olivia."

Olivia laid back in bed, worn out from her last contraction. She felt her grip on Elliot's hand loosen and he wiggled his fingers, making sure they still worked. "Sorry," she whispered, before letting out a small chuckle.

Elliot smiled back. "It's okay," he said, kissing the back of her hand. "You're almost there."
Olivia groaned and shook her head. "You've been saying that for over fifteen minutes. I can't do this."

She took in a sharp breath when another powerful contraction hit. "Okay Olivia push."

Olivia looked up at Elliot and started to cry. "I can't do this Elliot," she repeated.

Elliot stared down at her, heartbroken. He knew she was exhausted, they both were, but he also knew the only way they would get to meet their son is if Olivia continued to push. "I know you're tired, and you're hurting. But we're so close to meeting our son," he whispered, trying to give her a pep talk. "You can do this Liv. You're strong."

He wiped the tears off her face with his unoccupied hand, before bending down and kissing the top of her head. "Okay Olivia," Dr. Bailey began, "Give me a big push." Olivia did what she was told and smiled when she felt what she could only assume was her son's head finally out. Likewise, Dr. Bailey smiled behind her mask, and said, "Good Honey. His head's out."

Olivia leaned back into the bed. It was almost over. In a few short moments she and Elliot would officially be parents. "Okay on the next contraction I'm going to need a big push."

Olivia nodded and sat up. Elliot, knowing she was going to need a lot of help with this last bit, placed his body behind her back, so she could lean against him if needed. Olivia felt it, that contraction that was going to help her son come into the world fully. She pushed, as hard as she could, her face becoming red. She wanted to give up, she wanted to wait a few more minutes, but she knew this was all or nothing. She continued to push, drowning out whatever Elliot was whispering in her ear. She ignored whatever the doctor had to say, focusing only on delivering her son. Then she heard it.

The small cries that came from her doctor's hands made her eyes shoot up. He was here. Instantly she began to cry, knowing now that whatever she did in her life was for that tiny human Dr. Bailey had placed on her chest. She looked up at Elliot, who was not even bothered to let anyone see him cry.

He stared at his son, smiling. He had heard people tell him that once the baby was born he would feel so much love he wouldn't know what to do with it, but until this moment, he didn't know what they had meant. Now he knew.

"Do you want to cut the cord Dad?" Dr. Bailey asked, causing Elliot to look up and away from the baby for the first time.

Elliot nodded, smiling at the word 'Dad'. He was a father now. Dr. Bailey handed him a pair of scissors and pointed to where he needed to cut. Elliot quickly cut the cord and handed the scissors back to the doctor, before looking back down at his son, who was staring up at Olivia quietly.

"Let me get this little man cleaned up," Dr. Bailey said, gently picking up the baby from Olivia's chest and handing him to a nurse standing next to her. The nurse walked to the end of the room, where she and another woman began cleaning off the baby and getting his footprints simultaneously. "You did good Olivia," Dr. Bailey said quietly, before joining the two nurses, leaving Elliot and Olivia alone.

Olivia, who was more than exhausted, laid down and sighed. She had done it. Their son was now here, healthy and safe. He may have been the cause of all the pain and emotion she had gone through in the last day, but Elliot was right, it had all been worth it.

"I'm so proud of you," Elliot said, wiping sweat off her forehead. He pulled a few strands of loose hair out of her face and tucked them behind her ear, before giving her a smile. "You're officially a mommy," he whispered.

Olivia smiled. "And you're a daddy," she replied, watching as Elliot smiled with pride.

The two waited for the nurses to finish weighing their son, before they placed a diaper on him, swaddled him in blankets, and brought him over to the new parents. "Congratulations," one of the nurses said, before handing Olivia the baby and leaving the room.

"Seven pounds eight ounces," Dr. Bailey said, walking up to the two. "He's a beautiful, healthy baby boy."

Olivia smiled. She looked down at the baby in her arms and sighed. It was over-well almost. Olivia felt a pain in her stomach, making her groan. She quickly handed Elliot the baby, before looking up at the doctor, worried. "Don't worry Hun, that's just the placenta," she said, watching as Elliot turned away and walked towards the end of the room carrying his son. He had had enough of labor. Olivia scoffed while the doctor let out a small laugh. "This should be relatively quick."

"He really is perfect," Elliot said, watching as their son gripped his pinky in his small hands.

Olivia nodded, agreeing. She looked down and smiled when she saw the baby staring up at the two, mesmerized. His big blue eyes watched everything his parents did, as he laid there in silence. "He has beautiful blue eyes, just like his daddy," Olivia said, looking up at Elliot.

Elliot stared into Olivia's eyes and smiled. "He has his mommy's perfect little nose," he whispered. He watched as Olivia smiled, before looking back down at the baby in his arms. The two had been through an emotional roller coaster, although in the end it was all worth it. "He's beautiful," he began, looking up at Olivia. "Just like his mother."

Olivia looked up and caught Elliot's eye. The two stared at each other for a few moments, before Elliot did something he didn't know if he would regret or not. He quickly leaned in and pressed his lips against Olivia's. She was his best friend, and the mother of his son, but he wanted so much more. When he noticed Olivia hadn't responded, he pulled away. Was she going to reject him again? Did he just make a terrible mistake on what was supposed to be one of the happiest days of his life? "I'm sorry," he whispered.

Olivia shook her head. "Don't be,' she said with a smile, before pulling him down for another kiss.

Elliot smiled against Olivia's lips, happy to be on the same page with her finally. The two were interrupted by a knock on the door, causing them to pull away from each other and greet whoever was on the other side. "Hello," a male nurse said, as he came in pushing a cart with a computer on it. "I'm here to do the birth certificate." He pushed the cart to the end of the bed, before walking over to Olivia and Elliot. "I just need to see your bands to make sure everything is in order." Both Olivia and Elliot raised their right arm, letting the nurse see their information bracelets. He checked them over pretty quickly, making sure the names and birth dates were the same as those on the screen of his computer. "Alright," he said, looking down at the baby. "I need to see the baby's as well."

Elliot nodded, before opening the blanket enough to take the baby's arm out. The nurse quickly used a small handheld device to scan the bar code on the baby's wrist. "Alright thanks," he said, watching as Elliot nodded before fixing the blanket allowing his son to be fully covered by the blanket.

The nurse quickly read over all of the information, making sure he had everything correct. "Okay lastly I'm going to need the baby's name," he began, looking up at Olivia and Elliot.

Olivia looked over at Elliot, who was looking down at their now sleeping son. "I actually wanted to talk to you about that," she whispered. "I don't think Brayden is the right name anymore."

Elliot looked up at her. "Well what should we name him then?" Olivia looked up and stared Elliot in the eye. Neither of them needed to say anything to know what she was suggesting. "Are you sure?" he asked.

He waited for Olivia to nod, before he looked up at the nurse, letting him know they were ready. "Alright, Baby's last name same as the fathers?" Elliot nodded. "Middle name?"

"Elliot," Olivia answered. She remembered how Elliot had talked about how he would love a kid with his name, but if they were going to name the baby what they had decided, a middle name was going to have to do.

Elliot looked up at Olivia, smiled, and kissed her temple.

"And first name?"

Elliot looked down at his sleeping son, and smiled. He knew this would bring a lot of mixed emotions, but he also knew his brother would be extremely honored. "Liam," he said, looking up at the nurse. "His name is Liam."

Elliot laid on the bed with Olivia, her head on his chest. "Thank you," Elliot said, his hand rubbing Olivia's back.

"For what?" she asked.

"For everything."

Olivia nodded against his chest. She knew what he really meant was that he was thankful for naming their son after his brother, but he didn't want to go there. "You're welcome."

The two heard Elliot's phone vibrate on the table near the bed. He quickly reached over, grabbed it, and opened the text message he had received.

How is Olivia? Do I have a grandson or granddaughter?

Elliot chuckled. Knowing Olivia was exhausted and needed rest after birth, he had sent a text to everyone to let them know Olivia and the baby were okay. "My mom is asking about you and the baby." He looked at Olivia. "You up for some company?"

Olivia sat up, wincing from the discomfort. She nodded. She was still tired, but she knew both their families wanted to see the baby.

Elliot nodded, before getting off the bed. He kissed her on the lips before turning to see his son. He stirred in sleep, letting out a small whimper. "Do you want him?" Elliot asked, knowing the baby would be up soon.

Olivia nodded. "Give me him," she said, holding her hands out.

Elliot placed the stirring baby in Olivia's arms before walking to the door. "I'll be back," he said, before leaving the room. He walked down the hall and into the waiting room.

When everyone saw him they stood and rushed over. Bernie and Serena were the first to make it to Elliot. "How's Olivia doing?" Serena asked, genuinely worried about her daughter.

Elliot waited for the rest of the family to walk up to him before he answered. "She's doing good," he said pulling out his phone. He showed the group a few pictures of Liam, listening as they all gasped and "awed" at the newborn. "It's a boy," he said, unable to contain his smile.

Everyone cheered. "It's a boy!" Riley said, excited. She hugged Cole and jumped up and down, excited to have a nephew. Serena smiled and Bernie hugged Elliot. Joey, Naomi, and Joe, who had come later due to working late, all passed around Elliot's phone, looking at the pictures he had taken of Liam.

"What's his name?" Bernie asked, taking the phone from Joe and looking at the baby picture.

Elliot looked at his mother and smiled. "His name is Liam. Liam Elliot Stabler."

Bernie looked at Elliot, ready to cry. They had named the baby after her son, which meant a whole lot. Without a word Bernie hugged Elliot again, this time holding him tightly.

"Can we see them?" Maura asked.

Elliot nodded. "She's really tired so don't stay too long or bombard her with questions." Everyone nodded. "Follow me," he said, turning on his heel and walking back down towards Olivia's room, everyone following. When he reached the room, he gently knocked on the door, and then opened it. "Hey Liv," he said, stepping inside. "I have a few visitors." He opened the door and everyone walked inside.

Bernie, Serena, Naomi and Maura walked over to the bed, while the twins, Joey and Joe stayed closer to the door, letting Olivia not feel so crowded. "How are you feeling?" Serena asked Olivia.

Olivia sighed, before handing the baby to Naomi. "Very very tired," she answered, watching as Naomi's face lit up when she saw the baby.

"Olivia he's precious," Naomi said, staring down at the baby.

Liam began to wiggle in his blankets, showing everyone he was waking up. "Olivia, he has your nose," Serena said quietly. Looking down at her grandson Serena realized how much she had missed out on Olivia's life. When she was born she was too upset about everything; about the rape, about her father, about her. She didn't even stop to think of Olivia as a blessing instead of a curse.

Liam opened his eyes, letting all the woman standing around see his blue eyes. "He looks just like Elliot did when he was a baby," Bernie said, as Naomi handed Liam to her. She look up at Elliot and smiled, before looking down at her grandson. She knew Liam would have been proud of his brother had he been here.

An hour later Olivia sat on the bed, nursing Liam. Everyone had gone home, allowing the two to be alone and rest. "We did good," Elliot said, sitting next to Olivia.

Olivia nodded. "Yes we did." She waited until Liam was finished, before placing him against her chest and patting his back. She continued to gently pat his back until he burped.

Elliot picked up the baby from her arms and rocked him gently until he was fast asleep. "There you go Eli," he whispered, placing the baby in the small carrier near the bed, before sitting back next to Olivia on the bed.

"Eli?" She asked, confused.

Elliot, unaware that she had heard him, froze. "Sorry, it's something my brother used to call me when I was little. I know we've named him Liam, but…"
"Eli for short. Sounds perfect," she said, before leaning over and pecking him on the lips.

Okay, I decided to name the baby Liam, but since it might be painful to mention his name around the family, I decided calling him Eli was cute. Confusing I know, sorry. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I hope you will review!
