I started walking towards Moka's home, I was always excited and had the butterflies whenever I was going to be with her. The feeling never got old or faded. As I kept walking further, I saw pink hair in the distance, and smiled to myself. There was no doubt in my mind that, that was her, who else has pink hair anyways?

I finally reached her and said, "Hey Moka."

"Tsukune." She said bubbly, and with a small blush, not out of embarrassment, but just out of joy.

"Do you have any idea where you'd like to go?" I questioned.

"No not really, I'm fine with anything, as long as I'm with you, Tsukune."

"Moka.." I said as I lost my train of thought.

We both stared at each other, without saying anything else but each other's names.

After we came back to our senses, I suggested, "What about going shopping?"

"I, I didn't bring a lot of money though."

"I can pay for you." I said.

She shook her head, "No, that wouldn't feel right Tsukune. You already paid for me yesterday."

I sighed, she did have a point.

"But I can go grab some money if you'll give me a minute." She said.

"Alright." I said.

We then began to walk towards her home, once we reached it I said, "I'll wait outside."

She went inside, and after a few minutes came out with money in her hand, that she put in her pocket and said, "Alright, I should have enough to do a little shopping!"

"That's good. I guess let's go then."

We started walking and Moka said, "Before I forget, my mother said she'd like for you to come over tomorrow again and eat with us like before. Do you think you can come?"

Again? Did I do something wrong? What if she tells me she changed her mind about transferring Moka! Then I'll be screwed and stuck going to that school without Moka. What if she tells me to stay away from her daughter and never allows me to speak to Moka again? No. I'm probably just overthinking things.

"Uhh," I spoke as I awkwardly scratched the back of my head out of nervous habit, "Yeah, I should be able to."

We then scheduled what time I'd come over, and decided we wouldn't really hang out that day, and dinner at her house would suffice. We kept walking and walking towards the mall, passing a park and a bunch of other places, it was such a far walk. We both were just about to give up when we saw some shoppers walking with bags towards some cars, so we weren't too far and were getting really close.

We finally made it, Moka sighed out of relief and spoke, "That was a really long walk huh, Tsukune?"

"Definitely, the trip back is going to be dreadful." I responded.

We entered the mall and we were pleasantly surprised by the nice cool air conditioning, it was rejuvenating.

"So got any stores you want to hit up?" I asked.

"Not any in particular, I don't really go shopping much." She said as she awkwardly giggled.

"Alright, I guess we can just walk around and if you find any stores that appeal to you, we'll go in there."

We walked to nowhere in particular and stumbled upon a shop full of all sorts of random knick-knacks. We decided to go in and check it out. It was a bit clutter but still had a very pleasant feel, I was surprised that a store like this would be located at a mall. As expected, there was no one else in the shop.

We walked around the quaint shop a bit and something popped out to me, it was a blood red gemstone with flares of black in it, attached onto a necklace, it was beautiful, perfect for Moka.

"Moka! Look at this," I said as I pointed at the gemstone.

"Wow it's really pretty, it's breathtaking."

"I can buy it for you if you want, as long as I have enough for it." I awkwardly chuckled.

"No, I can't have you spending all your money on me, plus I brought money." She said sternly, which was very odd for her.

"But it's my gift for you, so you can always remember the time we've spent together over this week." I insisted.

She stayed silent and contemplated if she should let her pride go and just let me buy it.

I looked at her and said with a smile, "Pleeease?"

She blushed, gave in and said, "As long as it's a reasonable price."

"Alright! Let me go ask for the price!" I said excited.

I walked around the store looking for a clerk, for such a small shop, it was pretty hard to navigate through it.

I saw a glimpse of someone and said, "Excuse me sir."

He turned around and said in a very soft voice, "Oh yes. How may I help you?"

I walked him over to where the necklace/gemstone was and asked for the price. I was completely shocked by how low the price was, it was only 1,500 yen. (approx. $15) I was expecting it to be at least 3,000 yen.

"Did you know that this gemstone easily detaches from the necklace? You just pull it out like this" He said as he demonstrated.

"Alright thanks." I said as he walked back to cash register.

"So?" I smirked.

"Well, I'd say that's reasonable, it is really beautiful, even she agrees" She said referring to her other vampire self.

I was surprised that her other self could say anything nice, considering all the comments she has directed towards me were quite negative. I smiled though, for some reason, hearing the vampire version of her compliment what I was going to buy her made me extra happy.

"Well then I guess I'm buying this for the both of you!" I said smiling.

As I finished speaking her rosary lit up.

I sighed, and said, "What is it now?"

"She said, 'Does that boy seriously think cheesy lines like that will work on me?'"

I sighed again and said, "I wasn't trying to be cheesy, I was just saying how I feel and being honest. I'm buying it for the both of you. I'm not trying to trick you, or manipulate you. Also, do you not know my name or something?"

"She said, 'your name is Tsukune.'"

"Well, at least she knows that," I smiled.

We then went over to the cash register and I paid for it, but as I was paying for it, I noticed a very amazing gem behind the counter.

"Whoa, what is that?" I asked, as he finished cashing in my money.

"You have a very good eye young man, there really is no word to describe it as, other than one-of-a-kind. Here." He picked it up and handed it to me, it was fairly small and was circular. It was polished crystal encasing a black and white smooth stone.

"It's not on sale really, but I'd be willing to sell it to you for a good price."

"Like?" I asked.

"2,000 yen."

"What?" I practically shrieked out, "That's all? That's so cheap, I'll definitely buy it."

I normally wasn't really into things like this, I was buying on a whim and also I wanted to have something to put in my dorm when I go to Yokai even if it was just a small thing.

I pulled out some more money but Moka stopped me and said, "I'll buy it for you, it's my gift to you."

"No you don't have to." I said.

"I don't have to but I want to," She said as she handed the man 2,000 yen. The man then handed the object to her, and she handed it to me.

"Here's my gift." She said.
I then handed her the blood red gemstone, to her and repeated the same line.

We both put our gifts in our pockets, I was surprised at how small it felt in my pocket, I couldn't even tell it was in there.

My stomach growled so I suggested, "How about we go eat?"

"Yeah I'm starving." We walked over towards the food court

We decided to get some italian food from one of the stands, We both ordered water and a sub, wbut with different toppings.

As we were waiting for our food to be ready, a lady came up to us and said, "Would you like a free sample?"

Since I was very cheap sometimes, I took a sample without even bothering to ask what exactly it was that I was eating.

"Holy crap! That's hot! I need water!" I said as I unscrewed the cap off my water bottle. I gulped it down in a flash, it sort of helped but I still needed much more water to wash out the taster, and also for my meal.

I ordered two more water bottles and drank half of one rather quickly.

"Are you okay Tsukune?" Moka asked concerned.

"Yeah, yeah, it's just super hot and spicy!" I belted out.

We finally got our food and the spicy taste was starting to fade.

We found an empty seat to eat and began to talk.

"You know Tsukune, this has been on my mind for a while, you said you're transferring too right?

"Yes why?"

"Aren't you going to miss Takashi? Takashi and you were so close."

"Well…" I started to say.

"I did have fun spending time with him," I admitted, "So, I am gonna miss him. But not as much as I'll miss you, Moka."

"Tsukune…" she blushed.

We kept eating for a bit longer and soon finished we got up and started to walk when all of a sudden got a desperate urge to use the bathroom, it was do or die, if I didn't go to the bathroom soon, I was gonna turn this mall into Niagara falls, and mimic my father from this morning.

"Uh Moka I have to go the bathroom." I said urgently.

"Alright do you want me to wait near the bathroom?"

"Yeah." I said as I sprinted to the bathroom. I rushed in the stall and did my 'business.' It was kinda my fault that this happened considering I drank all that water earlier.

I took my time washing my hands and walked out of the bathroom and looked for Moka. I found her easily, but she was surrounded by a couple of guys, this definitely wasn't a good sign. I walked briskly towards, not trying to draw attention to myself, so I could surprise these assholes. As I got closer, I realized one of the guys had his hand on Moka's shoulder, this infuriated me.

Once I reached her, I quickly slapped the guys hand off her with a lot of force.
"Don't you dare touch her!" I said as put my arm across Moka's chest (Making sure not to touch her inappropriately) and lightly pushed her so she'd step back so I'd be in front of her.

"Hey punk, what are you gonna do about it?" The leader I'm guessing of this little group said.

I clenched my fist out of anger and shouted, "You better back away or else things aren't going to end well for you. You don't ever touch her!"

"Whoa, what the hell are you?" Another one of them shrieked.

"Let's get out of here!" The leader shouted.

They all scurried off, once the coast was clear I turned around and looked at Moka.

Once she looked at me she looked shocked.

"Y-Your eyes are red…" She said surprised.

"W-What?"

Wait a second, this has happened before, that one time when I looked in the mirror and saw a hint of silver and red eyes. But I just thought I was tired, and was seeing things. (chapter 21) I guess now I've got a reliable witness to my powers getting unleashed accidentally.

"Wait is your other self present?"

Her rosary light up immediately after I spoke.

"I'm sure your powers are limited, but can you sense my energy?" I asked in a hushed voice, making sure no one else could hear.

"She said "Not really, I can only feel a small bit of monster energy coming from you."

"Wow way to mock me," I sighed.

"She says that wasn't her intention, It must be that your rosary mainly focuses on sealing power rather than human characteristics, like your eyes and hair."

"Interesting, well are my eyes back to normal yet?" I asked.

"Yep!"

"That's good and look I'm sorry about you know, getting that angry." I apologized.

"No, it's okay, thank you actually, those guys were being very weird."

"Alright I guess let's look around some more!" I said.

We walked around a bit and not too many stores interested us, but this one lady who worked at a stand called us over, we had nothing better to do so we went over to see what she wanted, even though we both knew that she probably just wanted to sell us something.

"Hi there have you heard of the new ice rink that just opened nearby?" The young lady asked.

"No…" I said.

"Well, for a limited time we are giving out these free passes for unlimited skating! You and your girlfriend can both have one."

"Uh," I blushed, "Yeah okay, how close is it to the mall?" I asked

She wrote down directions from here to there and handed them to me along with the two free passes.

Me and Moka both walked away and were blushing like crazy.

"So uh, do you wanna go ice skating the day after tomorrow?" I asked.

"Sure, I've never really went but it's worth a shot."

"Me neither but I'm sure it is not that hard!"

After the awkward experience with the ice skating, Moka and I finally found a clothing store that had nice clothing and was dirt cheap. She tried on some clothes and went out every time to show me how they looked on her, she looked breathtaking each time, but of course, she always is breathtaking no matter what she is wearing. I couldn't help but wonder how she'd look in those outfits in her vampire form, probably even more stunning.

Even though I hear most human guys complain about shopping with girls or their girlfriends, I honestly enjoyed the time I spent with Moka, even when she was trying on clothes, I mean sure I didn't like to wait but it was still worth it. But I guess the difference between me and those humans is the fact that I love her and would do anything for her.

I ended up getting a couple of nice collared dress shirts, one of them was really nice on me, it was a bit of a dark red I showed Moka it on me, and she blushed, so I guess that's a good sign.

Once we were pretty much done shopping I asked her, "So did you have a good time?"

"Which day did you enjoy better yesterday at the movies or today?" I said as we exited the mall.

"Today, because I could talk to you the whole time, instead of having to stay silent."

"Moka.." I said.

"Tsukune.."

"Moka.."

"Tsukune.."

"Moka.. I'm glad we've gotten to spend so much time together."

"Me too Tsukune!"

"The only bad thing is… This walk here is ridiculously long!" I said.

She giggled and we kept on walking and talking.

We finally reached her house and she said, "So you're coming over tomorrow right?"

"Yes." I said nervously. I still wasn't sure what her mother wanted with me, and that worried me. She then walked up to her doorstep and entered her home.

I opened the door and tried to step inside but instead my face collided with some barrier.

My father appeared from the corner and said, "You didn't seriously think I wouldn't find the saran wrap you bought?"

"Shut up old fart." I said as I wacked the saran wrap down and entered in my home.

"So ready for more training?"

I grunted and moaned, "Can't you give me 15 minutes to rest first?"

"Alright 15 minutes, your time starts now!" He said while he looked at a clock.

I laid down on my bed and it seemed like it had only been a minute until he came barging in. I definitely didn't feel like 15 minutes, but I looked at the clock and it sadly proved otherwise.

We started training and we worked endlessly until we were both covered in sweat, we then sat down to eat.

The conversation around the dinner table was nonexistent, until he mentioned how he's gonna wake me up tomorrow early, so I decided I much rather have my watch wake me up then him so I started to set an alarm. But as I was setting my alarm I looked at the time and it was earlier than the other clock said in the room. I double checked and soon realized that the other clock my father used to tell me to train was 13 minutes ahead of my watch.

"HEY! You set the clock ahead, you didn't give me 15 minutes to rest, you gave me 2!" I exclaimed.

"Whoops, did I? My hand must've slipped and set it back, I'd never lie to you." He said sarcastically.

"Be quiet, rat."

"Rat? That's a new one." He remarked.

After dinner, I took a shower and made sure to put the gem Moka bought for me in a safe place in my room, I put it on the little desk next to me. I soon fell asleep.
