TO THE STORY! (as told from Finland's point of view)

Chapter 24: Moi!~

My eyes widened in surprised and some curse words came out when I came out when I dropped the hydrogen peroxide. "Woah…"

I blinked and looked up at Brittany who was also staring at me with wide eyes. My head tilted in confusion. "What?"

"You just cursed."

"You know Swedish?"

Brittany shook her head. "I've enough Pewdiepie to know what you said though."

I blushed from embarrassment."Sorry."

"It's ok...I've just never heard you curse before." She stood up and smiled down at me. "I just didn't see it coming."

"GUESS WHO'S HERE?!" Denmark marched into the room with a new guest.

Both girls froze and stared. The one who looked the most surprised however Brittany. No one said anything for the longest time...it was one of the most awkward times in my life. Everyone sort of stood in stand off, not wanting to break up against his face. "Brittany?"

The girl could only nod, too in shock to do anything else. Within a second before he ran up to her and picked her up with ease. In that moment he chose to spin her around, literally lifting her off of the ground. "I thought I lost you forever."

"Now why would you think that?" Brittany hugged him close. "Don't you think a sidekick should know how to take care of themselves?"

I internally sighed. 'It's so obvious that people want to be with her. Does she see it? Is she...in her own way making a choice? Is she ignoring it? How oblivious is she?' I wanted her to stay here with us and for later proof I recording her voice and comments about us just minutes ago. It was my plan to show the guys later for their reactions. In any case I smiled at the reunion.

Brittany was slowly set back on the ground. "What happened to you? You're not hurt are you? Are you sure you're ok?"

"I'm fine Alfred, I'm fine." Brittany put her hands on his shoulders. "I fell in some bushes and the dogs I saw today-" I tensed up. "-were being crazy and jumped on me so I got a few bruises but I'm ok."

A few tears escaped his eyes. "I found this in the forest."America reached through his jacket and pulled out a red, torn, dirt and blood caked mass of what appeared to be cloth. "I thought wolves got to you or something.

The American girl's eyes lite up. "My hoodie!"

Her hands grasped the cloth and brought it towards her to hug it. "Al...thank you so much."

"I'm just glad you're ok." America ran his hands through his hair. Brittany blinked. "What about Maddy?" 'So she does pay attention…'

Alfred blinked and turned around to face us at the table. "I'm glad she's ok too but do you-" His attention was now on the blond girl next to me. "-have any idea how concerned Matthew is?! HE almost shut down! You just left without any explanation! I can't believe you would do that to my brother! Isn't it a bit selfish to leave in the middle of the night and travel across an ENTIRE OCEAN WITHOUT TELLING ONE?!"

"Well I'm sorry BUT THIS IS MY SISTER WE'RE TALKING ABOUT!" Maddy stood up and started yelling at him.

"Hey bro don't yell at a chick."

"Maddy, please calm down!"

Mathias and Brittany tried to calm their respected friends and be the peace keepers while I just sat there baffled on what to do next. I nervously laughed and stood between the two groups. "Now, now, please don't fight."

"DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT I WOULD LEAVE WITHOUT TELLING HIM!" Maddy yelled at the top of her lungs.

Seeing that I wasn't going to make a difference, I sighed and started to walk away from the fight. Right as I was about to pass the front door, the doorbell went off. The yelling continued in the dining room giving the indication that no one heard it. I bit my lip and opened the door only to see a panting (very distressed looking) Canada. I blinked and opened the door wider to let Matthew in. "Canada, what a surprize! What are you doing here?"

"I came with Alfred but the minute we got here, he ran out of the car and left me behind." Matthew kept his hands in his pockets and simply stood there.

"Come in! Come in!" I motioned him into the house with my hand. 'I know that he's used to this weather but it would be rude to just leave him out here.'

"What's that sound?"

I sweatdropped. "That would be Alfred and Maddy yelling at each other."

"WOULD YOU BOTH JUST SHUT UP?!"

"With the occasional Brittany."

"Maddy's here?" His violet eyes widened. I nodded and led the way so the couple may once again be reunited. The argument between the two blond Americans was extremely heated by now. By the looks of it, Brittany had long given up trying to break up the fight since she sat alone at the table, repeatedly hitting her hand against it.

Matthew immediately went over to where she was and sat across from her. "Brittany are you ok?"

"I have a headache." She sighed and looked up. "Matt?! When did you get here?" Don't tell me you were here the whole time!"

"No, I just got here." Matthew saw the bandage on her. "What happened?"

"Life."

I scrunched up my eyebrows in confusion. 'I thought he dating Maddy-why isn't he trying to talk to her first?' Matthew sighed, running a hand through his hair. "You know Maddy cares for you...a lot?"

"I know." Brittany chuckled.

To be honest I had no idea where this conversation was going but seeing as it was currently more interesting than the fight that was happening ten feet away from us I chose to listen in. "We're all glad you

re ok. When we first heard that you went missing, Maddy didn't eat anything for a few days."

"What?!" Brittany gasped and quickly turned to look at her friend.

My eyes widened in surprised. 'How close are these two?'

"Yeah, she finally ate again when she found out you were ok. Later on, she brought a ticket, asked the address of this place and now she's here. Maddy was so determined to see you again. I would have tagged along but someone had to stay behind and keep Alfred from doing something stupid."

Brittany rolled her eyes. "Al is a giant goofball."

"When things calmed down a bit and Alfred heard that you were here, he booked the quickest flight and dragged me along." Matthew sighed.

Brittany chuckled. "You make it seem like you didn't want to come."

"I did but I was stuck on an airplane with Alfred for eight hours."

'I don't know what that big deal is.' I thought to myself. 'I'm obviously missing something here.'

The yelling didn't stop and now they were yelling about politics. Brittany groaned and looked over her shoulder to glare at the duo...plus a dumbfounded Dane. "What the hell are you two even arguing about anymore?! Alfred shut up! Maddy, get over here and kiss your boyfriend hello or something and stop ignoring him!"

Matthew blushed ten shades of red at her comment. I merely stared at how straight forward Brittany could be. "Boyfriend? Brittany the only boyfriend I have is Matthew and he's no-HERE?!"

Maddy ran over and gave him a bear hug. I grinned and clapped my hands together. "AWWWW!~"

"Yes, Maddy, your boyfriend." Brittany chuckled.

"Shut up and let me hug my Canadian."

Poor Matthew had a cherry red face as he hugged back. "I was so worried about you."

Part of me turned and caught a glance of Denmark. It was a strange sight to see. He looked so heartbroken and dejected that Alfred also saw the look on his face and moved out of the room so Mathias could let whatever he had, out. 'Did he really like Maddy? Were all of those times he was flirting with her for real? Why would he go after a taken girl? What kind of logic is that?'

"Are you guys done yelling?" Lukas stepped off of the stairs, turned his head- 'Mathias must be there'- and into the area where we were. He looked at the seated couple and simply gave a curt nod.

"Hey Lukas!~" Brittany flashed a smile. "What's up?"

"Nothing...we just talked to England for a bit."

"You found Arthur!" BRittany fell off of her chair and onto the ground. "When?!"

"Just now."

My eyes widened for two reasons. One because I heard that England had went missing and no one had heard from him in about a month until today and two because I couldn't help but feel very protective of Brittany and by the looks of it, she hit her head on the ground. "Brittany?"

"I'm ok, I'm fine! What did he say?" She quickly got up and placed her hands on the table.

"He wanted to know how you were doing." Lukas's eyes softened as he looked away. "You know...if you were safe and all."

"Arthur...asked that?" Brittany ran a hand through her hair. "But where is he? Is he ok?"

"He didn't say...he did complain that he was stuck with France though." Norway looked back at Brittany. "They say that they're ok and that they wish that they wish that they could be here with you."

Brittany sat back in the chair eyes wide, her head in her hands. "Can I talk to them?"

"I lost contact with them but there's no harm in trying." Lukas shrugged and started to walk away. "What happened to you anyway?"

"I fell in bush and the dogs jumped on me." Brittany shrugged.

Everytime she said that, a pang of guilt hit me. She kept lying to cover up my mistakes that she paid for. Part of me was grateful that I could hide in the shadows but that didn't do anything to rid me of the guilt. Another part of me wanted to speak out and tell what really happened but I was too ashamed to admit that it was partly my fault. Lukas nodded slightly. "It's a good thing Tino was there then."

To avoid any other guilt, I looked to the ground. No one else was helping but it's not like they knew that. "It was good thing." Maddy added when she finally made herself comfortable on Matthew's lap. Some heat, rushed to my face. 'Stop this! I don't deserve it.'

"Finland...thank you." Alfred put a hand on my shoulder. I couldn't take it anymore so I stood up, excused myself and left to be by myself in the living room. I was alone for about fifteen minutes before a knock came from the wall. I looked up, ran a hand through my hair my hair and stared. Brittany was leaning against the wall with a sad look on her face. "Hey…"

"Why do you insist on doing this to me?" I watched as she walked closer to me. "I don't deserve it and it makes me feel guilty."

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to do that." She sat next to me but not really as close as I wanted her to. "I didn't think that they would keep putting you on the spot like that...but you did save me. And I think you deserve at least a little recognition." I sighed and rubbed my hand over my face. "Through lying."

"The only thing I lied about was falling in a bush and I don't want to say I was attacked-these people freak out too much." She looked around the corner from her spot where she sat and then turned her attention back to me. "No more lies-promise."

"Good." I smiled.

Brittany smiled back and stood up. "Come on!" She grabbed my wrist. "We miss you at the table and your presence has been requested."

I chuckled and stood up. "Brittany…"

"Yeah?" Her eyes sparkled.

"Brittany...I...I lo-"

The window next to us shattered slash exploded with one of the loudest sounds that I have ever heard. Surprisingly Brittany didn't scream when we hit the ground. I used myself as a shield for her as the glass flow around the room. Within two seconds the entire household was in the living room and looking at the damage. "Dudette! Are you ok?"

Alfred immediately rushed to the girl in my arms and spun her around, looking for any mark or new scratch from the glass. "I'm fine." She muttered and shut down Alfred's concern."What the heck was that?"

"A stupid brick." Mathias stepped over the glass and picked up the object in question.

"No one's in sight." Berwald moved away from the new opening in the wall.

"There's a note you dumb Dane." Lukas snatched the brink away from Denmark and pulled off a piece of paper that was being held on by a string. He unfolded the paper and read it to himself for a bit. Alfred had his arms wrapped around Brittany as if she was going to get hurt if she was even an arms length away from him. 'With her history that might as well be the case.'

We all look to Lukas during the few seconds that it took to read the note. Rage filled his eyes as he angrily shoved the note to someone else and stomped a few feet away only to continuously pace. Maddy crossed her arms. "What did it say?"

"Read it!" He snapped and showed no signs of stopping. Emil looked around and cleared his throat a bit before he started reading. "Three days time. Hand over the two girls and no harm will come to anyone. You had your fun with the new toys-learn to share- it's our turn. Bring them to the square oak at midnight. Signed, the Second Players- Tim, Mikkel, Egil, Loki and Bernard."

My own rage started to boil my blood at even at the thought of this group threatening our guests. "Are you kidding me?!"

"They found us?!" Brittany paled and was not visibly stable at all. "But...why? Why do they keep doing this? Why don't they just leave us alone?"

"Brittany-dudette-hey-" Alfred placed his hands on her shoulders and looked her right in the eyes. "We made you a promise. They will not get you...not ever again, not even close to you."

"Does that mean we have to leave?"

My heart thumped. 'I didn't think of that.' Everyone stayed silent - letting the unanswered question liner in the air. The longer we let the silence drone on the more obvious the answer became. I wanted to hold her, tell her anything will be alright and never let her go. Maddy looked up at Canada with a sad look in her eyes. Matthew's only response was to hold her tighter and what appeared to be to whisper in her ear.

Brittany slowly looked around us as a form of dread settled onto her features - a look that didn't belong. "Where will we be?"

"I don't know...someplace far away where it'll take a while for either group to get to you." America looked at both girls but I could see that his gaze was directed to the brunette. "I'm sorry for a lot of things but I'll never let you out of my sight again."

"Asia."

"What?" We all turned to Berwald for a clearer answer. He blinked for a second before he stood up and said. "Asia."

"But where?" Maddy titled her head.

Su-San shrugged. "Anyway...it's far enough from us and from these two, it should keep you two safe for a while."

"I can call up Japan." America looked around. No one else had an alternative answer. 'Doesn't Emil know Hong Kong? Wait...he might not take them in anyway...they're going all the way to Japan though?' Alfred looked down to the shattered glass and took out his phone. "I'll go make a phone call then."

Lukas had yet to calm down as he continued to pace back and forth. Berwald started cleaning up the broken glass before we all froze, and by that I mean before Brittany, Maddy, Alfred and Mathias froze. Maddy already looked cold as she looked to Matthew for warmth. Mathias got around the helping Berwald but his focus and attention was stuck on the and envy were in his gaze but I think he finally gave up on trying to get Maddy to leave Canada for him. Emil was on his phone probably texting Hong Kong for a heads up or whoever else is a contact on his phone. When his message was sent he slowly trudged his way out of the room to go do whatever he had in mind. Brittany sat on the couch, hugging her knees to her chest and resting her forehead against them - hiding her face.

My heart throbbed for a while and I maneuvered myself so that I could sit next to her. I placed my hand on her shoulder and felt her shaking. "Brittany?"

"I'm sick of it." She said. "And I'm cold."

I wrapped y arms around her and brought her close, putting a nearby blanket around the both of us to try to make her feel warmer. "Sink of what?"

"Problems...I'm sick of moving right as things start to settled down." She took in a deep breath and started to shake even more violently. "Right as I got used to being here I had to move away from my best friend all the way to France-" She pushed some hair out of her face and looked at the window being fixed. "-then before I could even adjust to life in France the stupid second players kidnapped me and I don't even know what happened to Arthur and my uncle! Then I'm out for God knows how long and I find myself in one of the highest points of Europe…"

'She's so upset.' I found myself wiping away her tears with my thumb. 'They will pay for this.'

"I start to fit in and feel like I belong and things are coming together and everything might be ok in the end THEN STUPID STUFF LIKE THIS HAPPENS AND I ONCE AGAIN HAVE TO LEAVE EVERYTHING BEHIND!" She yelled in the state of her emotional pain.

"We'll go with you then." I blurted.

She looked at me in surprise and started to wipe away the unshed tears in her eyes. "What?"

My heart started racing. 'What am I saying?! She wouldn't even let us! Are we even allowed?!' "Let us go with you Brittany...we care about you and we can't leave you alone now even if we tried...not that we want to."

She stared at me with big, round...adorable...ummm...her eyes were pretty after she cried ok?

"Ti-Tino?"

"'K dudes, Kiku said that you two could hang at his place for the time being but he also said that you would probably be living in a conference room to not gain suspicion." Alfred walked into the room as he pocketed his phone. He took off his glasses and rubbed his glasses. "God...this is a giant mess."

Brittany turned to Alfred and looked back at her feet. She slowly started to lean on me as she closed her eyes. "I don't want to do anything."

America looked at us and raised an eyebrow. Some heat slowly crawled onto my face. Brittany sighed and snuggled close to me. "I'm causing for causing this Tino."

"No! This isn't your fault Brittany, it's the second players!" I fretted. "I won't allow you to blame yourself! You're a beautiful young lady who looks beyond the appearances with a witty sense of humour."

Everyone looked at me as I comforted the girl. "Brittany, you can't keep taking the blame for everything. Let us help you...you're not a burden and we want to do this. You too Maddy. Don't you dare think I forgot about you!"

"Brittany?" Alfred took a step closer to us.

"Ok." She murmured and sat up. "I'm ok."

"Are you sure dudette?"

She only nodded.

"I'm sorry that I have to say this but we're going to have to leave as soon as possible. Do you have anything here?"

"Yeah…" Brittany looked at me. "I guess this is it, huh?"

"No...we'll go with you but you need to go first." Norway finally stopped pacing and was brought back to the situation at hand. "You'll leave first for your safety and then we'll head out after you as if we have a meeting in Japan."

"Ah! Norway that's a good idea!" My eyes widened as I stood up.

"The note said three days right?" Mathias ran a hand through his hair. "It's going to take a long time to get to Japan...they'll have to leave today or tomorrow if they want to make it there by the third day."

"Today?" Maddy breathed out.

Brittany sighed and stood up, keeping the blanket wrapped around her. "Do you guys have a backpack I can borrow? You know...for the trip…"

"Yes...follow me." Lukas then started to walk away with Brittany on his tail. She forgot she had the blanket around her so Brittany took it with her.

Six of us were still in the living room by this point. Berwald was making sure if the new window was secure and had no leaks in it. Alfred sat next to Mathias as they talked about strategy. Matthew and Maddy seemed perfectly content sitting next to each other. I sighed, running my own hand through my hair. "This isn't right…"

Everyone turned to look at me, expecting me to say more. Berwald stood up fully and faced me. "Wh't'd y'u m'an?"

"I was talking about simply sending them away." I looked down. "I knew it's for their own good but they didn't ask for this."

"They should have an escort." Norway walked back into the room.

"Canada and I will do it." America waved a hand. "Where's Brittany?"

"She's talking to little brother about trolls...although what they were saying had a lot to do with the internet so…" Lukas looked away, not being able to finish his sentence.

"Brittany! Don't you dare!" We all heard Iceland yell at the top of his lungs.

"I'm gonna do it!"

"Don't!"

Brittany didn't reply but after that pause of silence Emil screamed and ran into the living room with a trail of silly string (as America calls it) being shot at him. Brittany ran after him laughing all the way. "I won't stop until you admit it!"

"Never!" He got more silly string to his face.

"Ok! Ok! I get it! I get it! Narwhals are the unicorns of the sea!"

"Haha, I win." She grinned. I blinked. "Are you ok Brittany?" 'She seems happy again.'

"Yeah! I mean…" She tilted her body a bit. "This isn't the last time we'll see each other right?"

I didn't know if the others could see it but she was slipping.

A little help please?

I have no idea what to have happen in Japan...Well I have one or two ideas but that's it...

By the way I think it's safe to say that the story is ending soon.. FYI
