Yay I finished a chapter before midnight! Now to find out who was interrupting their moment!

Enjoy.

Annoyed to have been interrupted, Syaoran stood and answered the door as he already knew who it was going to be; Cain stood there looking rather dignified, annoying the crap out of Syaoran.

"Did Yuuko allow you through?" Syaoran asked.

"She did." Cain replied smoothly. Syaoran still didn't step out of the way-he couldn't trust what Cain had said.

"Let him in honey." Sakura said softly, but chillingly. He reluctantly stepped to the side and let Cain in, watching as he looked at him out the corner of his eyes.

"I see you've changed your attire, ranger." Cain said rather rudely.

"My god, you mean you have eyes? Amazing!" Syaoran responded sarcastically.

"Hold your tongue, peasant." Cain growled as he stepped further into the room and Syaoran closed the door.

"Practice what you preach; my fiancé is not a peasant." Sakura spoke sharply.

Cain turned and bowed before her, confusion showing on his face. He hadn't recognised the earring Syaoran was wearing after all, but all of the elves were going to find out sooner or later.

"I'm afraid I do not understand your highness." He said.

"Syaoran dear, why don't you tell him?" Sakura smiled.

Syaoran sighed and pulled something from his pocket; it was a gold ring with his family's emblem on it-a phoenix with a ring of thorns surrounding it.

"You…! How dare you!" He shouted, going to draw his sword.

"Don't even think about it." Syaoran warned, the tip of his own sword just barely touching Cains throat.

He dropped the idea of drawing his weapon and once Syaoran was satisfied that Sakura was safe from harm, he sheathed his own.

"Yes, a rather nasty father I have. I honestly don't agree with what he's done, especially since he's caused Sakura so much pain. I can't forgive anyone who causes her suffering-and I mean anyone. Oh, and I'd much prefer it if you kept your voice down; Sakura has a rather nasty headache." Syaoran said casually-but there was a cold look in his eyes as he spoke, a look that could chill anyone to the bone.

"Your highness, he is the son of that King! Surely you can't be engaged to him of all people!?" Cain asked with disbelief.

Sakura's hand twitched. "Are you questioning my judgement of character and trust?" Sakura hissed. "That is twice you have offended the throne!"

Cain backed down.

"But, I can understand why. The only reason I trust him so much is because we were so close when we were young, and when we met, while I may have kept my true identity at first, I did my own tests. And Alastor is a good judge of character and has extremely good instincts-he can tell if someone is untrustworthy upon meeting them; he can sense if they have any ill intent, which is also why I made the decision to reveal my true identity. I knew I could trust him. As your Princess, I ask of you to trust in me and in the choices I have made, and will choose to make in the future. Will you do that for me Cain?" Sakura smiled softly; a smile that no one could say no to, a smile that warmed the heart.

He was completely captured by her pure smile, and he couldn't deny her request. "Of course, if that is what you wish." He replied.

"Cain." She spoke.

"Yes your highness?" he asked.

"Is there any specific reason as to why you have come here today?" she asked.

"My father asked for me to come and see how your highness was feeling, if you were feeling any better?" Cain replied.

"I'm doing a lot better, thank you." Sakura replied.

"That's good to hear." Cain said, bowing before her once again. "I shall take my leave now-may you get well soon your highness." He said before leaving.

Syaoran sat down next to Sakura, glad that they were finally rid of him. "I hate it when he's around." He muttered.

"I get the feeling he'll be around a lot more." Sakura muttered back.

"I certainly hope he won't be." Syaoran growled.

"You're so cute." Sakura giggled, reaching up to kiss him.

"I should say the same about you." He smirked, leaning in to lock lips with her. Their kiss was sweet and filled with passion, intimate. Sakura pulled apart from him, smiling.

"Why is your hand in my pocket?" He murmured.

"I thought I saw a glimpse of something before, and I was right; why is there gold in your pocket?" she asked cheekily as she pulled out a flattened rectangular piece of gold, roughly about six centimetres by twelve centimetres.

"That is mine." He said, snatching it back from her and shoving it back in his pocket.

"What are you planning on using that for?" Sakura asked curiously, still smiling her cheeky smile.

"That's nothing you need to worry about." He smiled.

"Hmph, fine then." She stuck her tongue out at him, only to receive a laugh from him.

"How's your chest feeling?" he asked softly, brushing his fingertips across her chest, his hand coming to rest above her heart.

"It's quite sore, but it will be for a while. Serves me right for allowing it to escalate into pneumonia."

She smiled softly, leaning in to kiss him again. And he knew what she wanted.

"You know, I'd take you right here and now, but you're just too sick." He smirked.

She sighed in defeat, "I figured you'd say something like that." She said, smiling.

Anna knocked on the door and poked her head in; she smiled widely at the two, only to receive a rather bitter stare from Syaoran-most likely because he wasn't too happy about earlier.

"Syaoran; Yuuko has given you and I a task to complete while Lady Sakura gets her rest. Also, Yuuko wanted me to tell her highness that she will be coming in for a check-up shortly." Anna announced. Sakura smiled softly.

"You can just call me by my name, Anna." She said. The fifteen year old blushed.

"I-is that really alright?!" she squeaked.

"Of course it is-we are friends, right?" Sakura smiled.

"Right!" Anna replied cheerfully.

"So, what's this task?" Syaoran yawned.

"We have to clean the entire house, top to bottom." She replied.

"Marvellous." He muttered, standing up.

"Have fun you two." Sakura smiled, watching as he walked over to the door.

"You should get some rest." Syaoran told her.

"Yeah, yeah." She sighed, lying back down.

Anna and Syaoran stood in the front hall, holding brooms and mops and buckets full of hot soapy water.

"So-you're a prince, right?" Anna began.

"Yeah." Syaoran replied.

"Much experience with cleaning?" she asked.

"Funnily enough, yes." He answered.

"I propose a challenge!" She announced.

"Is that so?" he smirked.

"Let's see who can clean the fastest, the best, and the most; we each take one side of the room, hallway, or hall, and start from there-cool bananas?" she explained.

"You're on."

They began by dusting and then sweeping; the two of them were quite fast, both of them getting even more competitive by the second. They wouldn't walk into the rooms, but instead run, and the cleaning was to the state that everything was shining. There was one point that they ran past an expensive looking vase that began rocking, and both of them raced each other back to steady it, glaring at each other. They ran past Chii who had just come back from doing the grocery shopping, nearly knocking her over.

"Hey-watch where you're going!" the blonde yelled as they ran past.

"Sorry!" Anna called out.

Cleaning Sakura's room was the most interesting as they did it without disturbing her sleep. Naturally they got into each other's faces as they cleaned, dusting and cleaning around her, changing the sheets (somehow she didn't wake up upon her body being moved from the bed) though when she did wake up she was completely confused as to why everything was sparkling clean and the sheets were black with green leaves printed on them instead of what they were before. She ignored it and rolled over to go back to sleep, not noticing the racket of the two running up and down the hall, challenging each other verbally.

"Oh yeah!? You won't even get half of it done in the time I can!" Anna challenged.

"Ha! By the time I have it done you'll be on the floor crying for mercy!" Syaoran snorted.

"You wish!" She scoffed, pulling out her mop.

"I know." He smirked.

"You two seem to be having fun." Fai said, walking into the large room that the two were cleaning. In fact, it was Yuuko's storage room that they were cleaning to be precise.

"Oh yeah, loads of fun." Syaoran replied, rolling his eyes.

"I couldn't help but notices that the Princess was missing her silver ring the other day-do you know what happened to it?" Fai asked curiously.

"Oh yeah-it's in my pocket." Syaoran replied as he swept the floor.

"Why do you have it?" he asked.

"I just do. What does Yuuko have you doing by the way? I don't really see you around much." Syaoran asked.

"She makes me run around everywhere-it's horrible." He groaned.

"Why does she get us to do the most excruciating jobs-I mean really?" Syaoran muttered under his breath.

"They're not that bad once you get used to them." Anna said cheerfully.

"Yeah, once you get used to them." The two repeated.

"So mister, are you down here for any particular reason?" Anna asked.

"Yuuko asked me to get some things for her-something to help with the Princess and a blue jar." He replied.

"Oh-here you go." Anna said, appearing from around the corner with what he needed. He left and the two returned to their rapid cleaning and verbal abuse, finishing the house roughly about dinner time and both completely exhausted. As it turned out, they were equally skilled in all areas of cleaning, and Yuuko was thoroughly impressed by their outstanding work, though Sakura still had no idea how her sheets had suddenly just changed during her sleep.

Syaoran made his way back down to Sakura's room as he stayed with her every night anyway, entering her room to find her sitting up and drinking tea. He walked over and sat in his usual spot next to her, catching a scent of strawberry.

"So it's strawberry this time." He murmured, leaning his head on her shoulder.

"You sound so tired; are you ok?" Sakura asked worriedly.

"I'm fine; I've just been running around all day-literally." He mumbled.

"You've been cleaning all day with Anna, right?" she said.

"Yep." He replied.

"So…who changed my sheets?" she asked.

"We did." He said. "I can't believe I didn't wake up…" Sakura murmured.

"I'm guessing you've eaten?" Syaoran said.

"Yeah, just before. What about you?" She replied softly.

"About half an hour ago." He yawned.

"How about you just go to sleep then?" she smiled.

"I think I will…" he said, pulling off his shirt and changing his pants into something a little more comfortable to sleep in and slipped beneath the covers.

"Oh-I keep meaning to ask you; do you know what happened to my silver ring?" Sakura asked.

"I have it." He replied simply.

"Why do you have my ring?" she asked curiously.

He simply smiled slyly and closed his eyes. "You'll just have to wait my dear."

What's he planning? Sly boy he is.

Review? xD
