-Zelda speaking to animals-
"Spirits speaking"
Chapter 25: Is Time Really A Virtue?
Link breathed heavily as he pulled himself out of the water, laying on his back from exhaustion. A piercing pain hit him on his side, his face crunched; quickly placing a hand to his right side.
Midna quickly pulled herself out of Link's shadow, instantly assessing the hero's injuries.
"How bad is it?" She asked, floating towards the side of the wound. Her voice genuinely concerned.
Link couldn't answer, he didn't bother to, it hurt just to breath.
Midna resisted the urge to sigh, as she floated closer, upon inspection she was able to see the blood that started to seep through the grey scales. The enchanted Zora armor wouldn't break, but the skin under it, is a different story...
Link rolled onto his good side, pressing his hand on the wound. This caused him to give off a loud groan as the crimson seeped through his fingers.
"Link...?"
"Zel..." He croaked. "Zeld-..."
Midna blinked, was he calling for…?
"I... need..." He heaved, coughing slightly, pressing his hand harder against his side.
"Link... she's not here." Midna stated, moving her hand slowly towards him.
But the teen moved away from the twili, his side hurt too much, he needed something to ease the pain.
"Link..." Midna tried again. "Zelda is-" Her sentence was cut short when something shot out of the water. Her visible eye shot open wide at the tendril.
Link barely had a moment to react when something cold wrapped around his leg. He let out a cry when he was pulled from the solid floor to the air.
"Link!" The twili cried when her companion was dragged down in the water.
Cold water hit the hero like a dart, he didn't have any time to put on his mask or pull out his sword. When he did try to reach for his sword more tendrils reached for him; grabbing all fours without pause.
Blood quickly drained from his body and moved to his head. Link screamed, though only bubbles emitted from his mouth. He was loosing oxygen rapidly; he kicked, punched, did anything to escape from the tendril that held him.
The green tad hero was then somehow shifted to a horizontal position, that allowed him to see a large Bari reeling him deeper in the water. His ears were then filled with a small squealish scream.
"No!" He screamed, despite all that it sounded more like boiling water.
The Bari pulled him closer, his blue eyes widened when he saw the sharp kraken-like mouth, filled with thousands of spiral teeth, ready to devour him whole.
Link continued to struggle, he couldn't die like this! Not Now...!
He shut his eyes tight, trying to regain control over his arms to move. When he just opened his eyes a bright light appeared before him.
The light brightened slightly before dimming down enough to show a figure floating in front of him. The light alone seemed to have calmed the Bari a bit.
Link blinked twice, seeing none other than the queen of the zoras before him.
*Q-Queen…* The hero thought.
"I believe I placed too much faith on you Link…" She said her voice sadden.
The hero's eyes widened.
"I believed that you and Princess Zelda would be able to help, but I'm afraid that I placed too much faith upon you two…" Rutela continued, her voice becoming shallow.
*W-What…?*
"There is no other hope for my people or Hyrule… You have failed Link… You and Princess Zelda have failed us all…" Her green eyes boring to his blue ones.
"No! It's not" He tried but all that came out was bubbles, causing him to loose more of his oxygen.
Rutela gave him a sad look, she turned away. "You both have failed…" Within a flash the queen disappeared.
"Wait!" He screamed more bubbles, but as he did the hold on the Bari tightened it's grip once again. He looked above him to see the Kraken-like mouth again.
Pupils and iris shrunk in shock as the mouth closed in on his head. Pain hit him hard at that moment, and the last thing that Link saw was red...

Aldro stretch softly, just about ready to rest in the inn's bed, it had been a long day, and peaceful rest sound like heaven to him. He just sat down on the rather comfortable bed, and he would have laid down had it not been for a scream that echoed throughout the inn. He instantly jumped off his bed not caring for any shoes he grabbed his sword that rested against the bed post and rushed out the paid room and towards the cry.
The scream continued when he reached outside the door. He didn't noticed who's room it was until he finally made it in, and the sight he saw caused his heart to pang in pain. There right in front of him was his beloved Princess screaming and shaking violently in her bed.
His sword dropped to his side in shock. His entire frame shook at the scream she released, but nevertheless he ran to the princess's side.
And without thinking before, he grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Your Highness!" He yelled, hoping maybe it would wake her from her nightmare. But the Princess continued to shake, her arms flinging violently around. Aldro held the princess down firmly to prevent her from hurting herself, but in turn he did gain a harsh slap and possibly a rough punch to the face.
Between the screams and cries Aldro heard footsteps, he turned around to see the door fill with other occupants of the inn. The children reaching closer to the inside of the room
The blackett's green eyes stared at the children, he struggled holding the princess when he saw their shocked faces.
"Someone. Go Get Renado or Telma!" He said loudly, climbing to his feet.
Ilia who responded the quickest nodded harshly and quickly made her way out of the building.
Aldro winced the moment the unconscious Princess let out another harsh scream. It sounded like it would tear her throat apart.
Aldro shut his eyes tightly, that fact this his ruler was suffering this much was not something he loved at all. In fact he hated it.
Even though he swore his life for Hyrule and it's princess, he felt completely useless right now…
Colin looked at the knight. "Close the door!" He shouted, seeing as more people came to see the racket.
Colin nodded in understanding and quickly shut the door.
"What happened to Sheik?" Beth asked, her voice worried.
Colin faced his friend. "I don't know…"
...
Aldro finally got himself to grab a hold of the princess, she struggled, but not as much as before.
*Here goes nothing…!* He thought, he pulled the princess close to him, wrapping his arms around her frame.
As if the action froze her, the princess remained completely still. He tightened his embrace. "It's alright Princess… it's alright…" He said remembering the words his sister would always say to him.
"It's only a dream, it's not real… It's not real…"
Zelda barely could feel the warmth wrap around her. But a soothing voice whispered to her.
Slowly but cautiously her eyes opened. The first thing she saw was the wooden wall, but the warmth that engulfed her frame is what really made her realize she was awake.
She felt herself get gently pulled away, to see green eyes stare at her violet ones.
"C-Cadet…?"
He smiled, his eyes glassing up.
"Your Highness…" He looked at his hands to see that he held the royal, and quickly he removed them off of her.
"I'm sorry…" He mumbled, Aldro felt his stomach make turns. He broke so many rules and barriers between him and his princess. He could be put to death for this…
"Cadet…"
"I'm s-sorry princess, you were screaming and I came here to see what was wrong." He said fast coherently.
"Now that you're awake… I must go, Renado will be able to help you." He said the first thing that came to mind, not looking at the princess at all.
Before the woman could say anything he already left the room.
Aldro felt like he wanted to strangle himself. Despite the situation he had no right to hold the princess like that. None.
However the incoming inn occupants approach closely to the door, that he couldn't dare show any emotion at all.
Wanting to give the Princess more modesty the knight stood before the closed the door. Shielding the princess from any onlookers.
"What, is with all the racket." A woman said crossing her arms. Her blond hair held with rolls that now started to loosen from sleep. What looked like possibly her husband or boyfriend also started to glare at him.
Aldro wanted nothing more to tell them that there was nothing going on, but the fact that woman took a closer step to him, made him take one back.
"What is wrong with that woman." The blond haired female occupant demanded her hand pressed firmly against her hip.
Now that made Aldro irritated, how dare she say that about the Princess. Lady or not, she needed to learn some manners.
"Well?" She said placing her other hand on her hips and leaning forward in a demanding way.
"It appears that there was one of the inn occupants was having a nightmare, nothing to worry about I assure you." A strong voice said suddenly.
Everyone outside of the room turned, to see a dark skinned man in tribal robes, with Ilia and Telma just behind him.
The blond haired woman sighed. "Mind doing something about it, some people need to rest for future travel." She said waving her hand in a circular motion while the other remained at her hip.
The look on the Shaman's face was enough of an answer, no one said anything as he walked inside the room, gingerly closing the door behind him. Mindful to only open just enough for him to enter, and not entirely.
The small group of people that filled the hallway, started to disembark and return to their rightful paid rooms. The blond haired woman and 'possible' lover returned back, giving the knight a good stink eye to the Zelda's room just before returning to her room.
Aldro gave a long sigh, giving the Ordon children one look. "Alright nothing much we can do here anymore kids." He said softly, his honey-green eyes moved to see evergreen.
"Thank you for getting them Ilia." The knight said formally.
The girl smiled. "Glad I was able to help. After all you did, it was the least I could do."
Telma placed a hand on her shoulder. "You did as well honey."
Pink tinted the female Ordonian face as her looked down to her feet. "T-Thank you."
Colin took a small step forward. "Will Sheik be alright?"
Aldro looked at the child despondently. "It was only a nightmare, she'll be alright."
Telma crossed her arms, "No need to worry sweetheart. You did what you could. And quite frankly you did plenty."
Aldro faced away, still remembering his actions. Tomorrow he is most likely going to get a word from the Princess. And quite frankly, he will have to take it, as a man no less.
The man faced the bartender the slightest smile he could muster for the small group. "I'm off, if anything else happens here, you know where I am at." He offered, as he started to walk back to his own room.
Truth be told, he didn't want to leave the Princess on her own, but he knew there was absolutely nothing he could do to help, especially with what he did…
Beth turned to Talo, who gave her a shrug.
"What should we do?" Colin asked suddenly.
Luda, who recently joined them earlier, looked towards the closed door. "Nothing we can do right now, best help we can offer is giving her space." Luda answered, her voice sounding strangely 100 years older than her age.
Colin faced her, but he turned slightly away from her, knowing that the Shaman's daughter was right.
"I guess…" Colin responded softly. He was worried about Sheik, the fact that she and Link helped them so much, but when either one of them is suffered, it bothered him greatly. Even more when there was nothing that he could do to help, not even a little…
Ilia turned around to see kids, her eyes catching the young blond haired boy's expression.
"It'll be okay Colin. It's only a nightmare, it will pass." The eldest said, trying to sound convincing as possible. Much to her relief he seemed to have bought her words; a small smile appeared on his face.
Ilia's motherly instincts kicked in soon after; she carefully wrapped her arms around the children's shoulders and guided them back to their rooms.
"Everything will be okay." She said sweetly. A warm feeling returned to her heart. For some reason she felt as though she knew these children, like she's met them before, possibly even be friends with them…
It may be a long shot, but there was certainty that she would look after them.
That she could promise.

Renado approached the Princess, fully aware what she may do; thankfully though, the moment she turned to see the Shaman, her body seemed to have relaxed slightly, but her tense shoulders remained.
Zelda lowered her head, trying to conceal her emotions. She shouldn't act or present herself like this to others, it's completely not professional, especially for a princess…
Her entire body froze.
*That's right… I'm not 'the princess' right now…* She thought grimly.
The Shaman examined the change of her expression.
A gentle hand rested on the woman's small shoulder, her body tensed the slightest, but she did look up. Her eyes now looking like glass. He saw the princess take in a deep breath in attempt to calm herself; her eyes closing sharply along with the air intake.
"Nightmares will usually plague us from time to time. Always affecting the person differently." He said suddenly, his brown eyes catching when the young ruler ceased shaking.
"Especially those more sensitive to magic." At that Zelda's eyes widened.
Of course. Usually those affiliated with magic usually can see into time itself…
Zelda's stomach dropped to the bottom. If that's true then…
*No... It was only a dream…!* But the fact that Link was in the water temple scared her to no end.
*But what if it wasn't a dream. What if it will Happen?* Her skin felt like it jumped into ice cold water. *Or Did…?*
"L-Link!" She babbled, looking over Renado's shoulder to see her familiar blond haired companion, but all she saw was an empty bed, wrinkled from leaving the bed sheets open.
"W-Where…!?" Fear bubbled inside her. If Link isn't here… then…!
She rose from her bed, instantly reaching out for her satchel, but instead of reaching for the usual leather weight on her bedside, her hand met air. Purple eyes darted to where her outstretch hand was, to see that the satchel was indeed not there.
"I'm afraid Link has already taken his leave." Renado said softly giving the princess an earnest look, his hand long removed from her shoulder.
Zelda faced away from the shaman. "When had he left?"
Her eyes moved to his face when he didn't answer.
"I'm sorry, I'm not aware how long ago he left." Renado said truthfully after a moment.
Zelda closed her eyes gently, she willed herself to prevent any quivering. The princess is well aware of the Renado's years of studying medicine and remedies under careful instruction of the previous shaman, had given him a calm demeanor during treatment in order to help the patient regardless of any situation.
It wouldn't be any different from her own studies of concealing emotions when confronting another royal from a distant land in order to gain respect from both her people and neighboring alliances. She would not let those studies go to waste now.
"How long have you had problems with resting Princess." Renado asked unexpectedly, using her title in a low tone.
Zelda didn't move at all, now that she thought about it, she hasn't been sleeping as well as she did before. The dreams that she gained that seemed equally as realistic had been preventing any proper rest.
Though the past dreams that she had before hadn't woken her up this violently…
"I…" Words froze in her mouth; she faced away from the skilled shaman, not entire sure how she should answer.
"If you wish not to discus the matter it's completely your decision. However, I do recommend speaking about it." Renado replied respectfully.
*Recommend…* The princess thought. Right now the only other person that she felt most trusting with this issue was currently gone to the next temple.
The person who could be in potential danger…
"Thank you for your care Renado, I'll make sure to keep it in mind." She replied, a gentle smile grazing her elder man gazed at her expression; he knew all to well that she was simply pushing her problem to the side. But he returned the gesture, giving her a nod before exiting her room.
This is all he is able to do for her at this time; giving her any sleep remedies will only result in her to remain asleep with a large possible chance of her nightmares returning, and that she wouldn't be able to wake from them. He wouldn't bring himself to give her any form of medication, unless she absolutely needed it.
Giving her a final bow, he exited the room.
Zelda sighed, wiping her forehead from any sweat that gathered there. Part of her said to get some rest, but the other half didn't dare to move. She couldn't bring herself to sleep considering what she just saw. She shifted her legs closer to her body. Wrapping her knees with her arms, the room felt strangely cold. Any form of warmth would be good for her.
*Could it actually be only a nightmare or an actual vision of what could be happening to Link…*
The dream felt dangerously real, and the taste of metal lingered in her mouth. But she's had dreams like this, and usually they were just realistic nightmares-
However, it still disturbed her how Link wasn't here. Worry bubbled inside her, what if… it was occurring at this very moment? What Queen Rutela had said-
"Wait…" Zelda whispered. Now that she thought about it…
There was no possible way that her mother would say that to her or Link. A hint of relief shadowed her worry, she knew the queen of the Zoras better than anyone, save for the exception of Ralis. And she knew for a fact that her surrogate mother would never say that. Not her or to…
She felt her neck craning to the wall, the one that separated Ralis's room with her's.
Her eyes closed slightly for the Aquatic Prince. He still yet has to awaken… and the lingering truth of his mother, stands on end for him to know.
If anyone is going to tell him, it would be her. She promised herself that she would, and be there for any comfort when he needed it. The brunet was well aware of the pain of loosing a mother… Her real mother…
She brought her hands around her arms. Now wasn't the time to think about that, not now.
The room felt still and oddly cool, her hands unconsciously moved, rubbing against her arms for warmth. *It certainly has gotten cooler in here…* She thought softly.
Before she knew it, her eyelids suddenly started to feel heavy. A thread of concern hit her mind, as if the dream would pop out again as she slept. But not resting at all wouldn't do her any good at all either.
With one deep breath and grabbing the sheets the inn offered over her shoulders alone implied her decision.
She let her head drop to her pillow, her violet eyes closing in synch ready for unconsciousness.
No nightmares disturbed her for the rest of the night.

"So when did you meet Link?" Asked Colin staring at 'Sheik's' eyes briefly.
"I actually met him along his journey, since then we actually had gotten along quite well." Zelda answered, taking a wooden mug full of freshly brewed tea and bringing it to her lips.
Colin looked at the princess in disguise with curiosity. "Uh, well if you don't mind me asking, where did you come from?"
"I was born in Hyrule." She said cutting her sentence off gently with a smile.
Colin nodded, "So did you move from Hyrule?"
Zelda froze in place, the mug remained stuck at her mouth, causing her lips to burn from the tea of prolonged exposure to the hot liquid. Her hand jerked the cup away from her mouth, then quickly proceeded to nurse her lips with her other hand.
Summer sky orbs grew in size, pushing his seat millimeters from the action.
"I'm Sorry…!" The blond haired boy squeaked.
"I-it's fine, honest." Zelda said her fingers barely grazing her now red upper lip.
Colin eyes watered. "I didn't mean too…!" He whispered.
Finding now that there was no real damage, the brunet turned to the younger boy.
"It's okay, the question only caught me off guard, no need to worry. It was rather my fault, don't take it personally." She said softly, a small smile grazing her features.
Colin only looked down, not sure whether he should look at her at all. But a soft hand landed on his shoulder lightly.
"I said it's alright little one, it was an honest mistake, we all make mistakes." The princess stated a comforting smile grazing her features. At that, the younger child stared at her eyes, seeing that she was completely sincere.
Colin nodded weakly. "Now as for your question…"
The boy's eyes widen slightly. Seeing the brunet take a while to think.
"I believe you may say I did move quite a bit during the last few days. However, I do believe I will return back to Hyrule sooner or later."
Colin stared at the disguised princess. His eyes grew a bit more curiosity, but Zelda knew that he was done asking questions.
The princess smiled letting go of the younger boy. "Now you should finish your meal." She informed, her voice sounding extremely motherly.
A innocent smile appeared on Colin's face before he picked up his eating utensil and finishing the rest of his breakfast.
Another genuine smile appeared on the princess's face, she was actually a bit surprised with the young boy, despite what was happening around him, and he was rather well aware about the issues around Hyrule, the boy still contained the childish innocence that most children would lose by this age when exposed to such things.
In a way, she admired the young boy. And at the same time, almost envied him, by his age she was already taking part in council meetings and hearing some rather graphic stories that happened, mostly wars.
The pain had already faded from the small liquid burn before she brought the mug back to her lips. The drink tingled where she was burned, but it wasn't beyond her tolerance.
Knowing that the rest of the children would soon join them she drank the rest of her drink before excusing herself. Some of the inn occupants stared at Zelda momentarily, she felt her cheeks warm slightly, knowing very well what happened last night. As the brunet walked past them she had already made her way out of the dinning hall.
However, being preoccupied with the embarrassment that she try to avoid, she felt herself bump into something soft.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Zelda said quickly.
"No, No, it's okay." The person said.
The brunet looked at the one she bumped into, recognizing the hay blond hair that was curled to a side behind her neck.
"Oh, you're miss Ilia?"
Ilia's cheeks brighten in pink. "Uh yes, and your name is Zelda?"
"Yes, but please, call me Sheik in public." Zelda smiled, whispering to the other female.
At that the hay blond girl rose a brow. "Why?"
Zelda brushed the back of her hair uncomfortably. "My real name draws too much attention."
Getting the note, the Ordonian nodded. Zelda felt her eyes drifting down, until she saw the plates that young woman held in her hands.
"You helping out with serving?" She asked carefully.
Ilia nodded, her smile brightening her face. "Yes, I feel like I should be able to help somehow, and I feel great doing this." She closed her green eyes.
"I feel like I should repay somehow to Mr. Renado since he is aiding me and the children a lot, by staying here and with with my memories..." Her smile faded away slightly.
The Princess felt a small pang in her heart when she said that. *I feel like I should be able to help somehow…*
It made her wonder if any of this, if she is really helping her kingdom at all. Even if it's only a bit. To be completely sincere, she had absolutely no idea what she and Link are facing with. Yes, Minda is really giving plenty of intel of what is going on and what the actual Twilight is affecting. But it still seems rather occult to her.
At times she really did wonder if what she is really doing is really benefiting her kingdom...
"Sheik, Sheik?"
Zelda blinked, seeing the blond haired maiden looking at her with concern.
"Is everything alright?"
"Yes, everything is fine Ilia, there's nothing to worry about." The brunet smiled; her violet eyes moving towards the plates.
"Would you like some help Ilia?"
0o0
The day passed as quickly, the majority of the time that Zelda really did was help out inside the kitchen, have a few words with the children, checking over her sick Zora friend plenty of times and sharpening her skills.
Knowing even if she rented a horse like last time, wouldn't do her any good, since the next Fused Shadow was currently under Lake Hylia. Apart that she can't swim, she didn't have any form or power to be able to go deep long enough, or breath to be able to help Link. So the only other option was to wait it out. And the suspense was making her anxious for every passing minute.
Zelda took in a deep breath, her violet eyes completely on her target. The bow curved due to the tense hold that she held the arrow connected to the string.
And without any warning she let the arrow go.
"Woah! Nice Shot! Total Bull's eye!" She heard the child scream over above the watch tower. This caused a small smile to appear on her face.
To Zelda's right side she saw the youngest child from the Ordonian Providence study her aim. Though he didn't show it, the way how he shifted on his legs made the princess know that he too was impressed. "Hmm… Impressive, I guess you hold skill when you concentrate. Looks like you've left some battles behind you…" Malo commented, staring at the bow the Princess held.
"I may have something that could improve that."
Zelda rose a brow.
"Come inside the shop, but get note it will cost you rupees." He said without any emotion in his voice.
Zelda could only nod as she was led inside the store. The brunet again saw the black haired girl in the store, she looked like she was rather bored with her head resting on her hand. But the moment she saw her younger boss she quickly changed the expression, and looked instantly ready to sell.
"Anything you would like to buy?" She asked sweetly.
"Alita pull out the bird mask." Malo said dully.
"Yes sir." She smiling brightly jumping onto the ladder, shuffling a few boxes around before pulling out a much smaller wooden box.
The blacked haired girl jumped back down and faced the duo before she opened the box.
Zelda eyes remained on the mask, it looked very similar to a hawk's head with distinctive gold markings at the sides to resemble like feathers and carved in the front equally. The eyes looked sharp and glassy and the beak looked extremely realistic.
"With this you should be able to see farther away from where you would stand, it will become extremely helpful for faraway targets." Alita said, placing the box down.
"Though you may not see it, this feather right here-" She pointed at the topmost feather at the right side. "-is the switch to allowing the mask to scope in. The more you turn it, the farther you'll be able to see." She smiled.
Zelda mouth dropped the slightest. She's never seen anything like this before. Though it may not look the best, especially for masquerade parties, but the use was worth millions to her.
"How much?" She asked her eyes not leaving the item.
"One Hundred." Malo said now moving across to behind the counter. "It's the only one I have, so I need to make profit out of this."
Zelda didn't respond, but she pulled out a single purple and red rupees with a handful of yellow and placed it on the counter. Malo nodded and handed her the box. The princess almost eagerly took it, allowing herself to see the item much closer. Pulling it out of the box she placed it back in the counter, taking the mask with her.
...
Her hands touched almost every inch of the mask as it sat on her lap. It was unique and original. She placed it over her face, which only covered the upper half; taking note what the young woman said, she twisted the upper right feather and like Alita said, the tree right before her zoomed in, allowing her to the bark and scratches of the tree clearly.
"Incredible...!" She whispered, pulling the mask off. *Such craftsmanship this is…* She gives credit to whoever made this. (NOTE 1)
She was certain that this will become useful.
"Looks like you're enjoying that mask." Stated a rough feminine voice.
Zelda quickly lifted her head up to her side, and mentally sighed to see the familiar female Goron besides her.
"Kora…" Zelda greeted.
"Princess." The rock being grinned, noticing the small twitch in the Hylian's eyebrows.
"Or Sheik, whatever you prefer." She continued looking up away from the sitting royal.
"What makes you sit on these stone stairs, playing with a bird mask anyways?" Kora had no idea how much irony she placed in that sentence. Zelda closed her eyes momentarily, feeling her hands tingle, she could still remember when they turned into feathers.
"Just thinking about the mask, and testing it out." The princess responded.
The rock being leaned against the stairs slightly. "And possibly think over the fact that he left without saying anything, huh?" Continuing the possibility.
Zelda looked down, it was true, she could still feel the pang of worry in her heart. There was no doubt and reason to hide it.
"I don't blame you, I would hate to see my boyfriend leave me like that."
Zelda's face instantly turned red. "H-He's not… I don't…!"
Kora chuckled as she shrugged. "He's a boy and he's your friend is he not?"
The color faded the slightest, but not enough. Zelda closed her eyes and looked away.
"I proved my point."
Again Zelda didn't bother to stare at the Goron. But she was right, Link is male and possibly her friend at this moment. So why was she still bashful over this?
"Look, all I could say is that he will return, he wouldn't just leave off without a reason, right?"
The Hylian took a deep breath, it was true, but Link did have a reason why he left to the water temple. She was very aware that he didn't want her to injure herself; in addition he believed that she was still suffering over the Zora Queen's death. A small smile over her face appeared, he was only concerned for her. And to be honest it did make her feel warm to know that he cared.
Kora smirked, no doubt that the princess in disguise was thinking of the green tad hero. She had to give them credit, especially what they have done for her and her people. If anything she is willing to give them any support in anyh form or shape when they needed it. She had to pay a massive debt to them; even if her pride was harmed for it, Kora was will do it.
"Thank you Kora." The Goron turned to the Hylian, seeing that her eyes shined with gratitude. "Thank you for your help and for being a friend."
The words made the Goron stop cold. *Friend…?*
She hasn't heard that word before in such a genial tone… Flashes of other Goron children bullying her came to mind.
*Strange, all this time I've always been pushed and taken for granted all this time… but now…* She turned to the princess, a gentle smile painted on her.
*It's… different.*
Before the female Goron even knew it, Zelda had already rose from her stone seat. "I must go, thank you for your time to visit me." She smiled before taking her leave.
"See you again Kora."
Kora stood still, still shocked over the fact that she was considered as a friend…

A single white flower was placed by the counter. Next to the sleeping Zora.
The Princess sat carefully, seeing her friend on the bed, unconscious. It made her wonder when exactly he would wake?
"Father says he would rest like this for a while." Luda said placing the rest of fresh water besides the bed.
Purple eyes flashed over to the brown haired child. "Thankfully his wounds are healing quickly and is getting rehydrated quickly. So it shouldn't be painstakingly long."
A quiet relieved sigh escaped the royal's mouth. "That's good to hear."
"May I?" Zelda asked reaching for a wet rag.
Luda nodded, "Yes, I need to go for some ointment, I'll be back."
Zelda watched her leave before returning back to her friend. Seeing his original healthy color in his scales return. She wanted to hug him, she wanted him to be awake and smiling, goofing around like when they were kids…
Even as selfish and immature as it sounded she would have loved to be a child again. No cares and wars to worry about.
There were times in her life she would have enjoyed being a non-royal. What many Humans and Hylians didn't know was that being a Royal wasn't easy and definitely not without work.
Of course the only other person who would know this is Ralis and possibly Kora, being Royals without a fault. (NOTE 2)
But Kora is still young and had father and her grandfather to guide her. But Ralis…
She placed the rag gingerly over his head, soaking the scales that started to fade in color the slightest. She wasn't entirely sure if his mother had already started to teach him the Ruler's duties.
Zelda could only wonder…
Her eyes drifted to other parts of his frame, seeing that he was thoroughly hydrated. Yet, either way she wouldn't bare to leave the younger child for a minute.
*Get well soon… I will make sure to always look after you, my brother…*
That's right, he was her brother, as she was his sister. They were family.
And they will always be family…
...
Yeah, not much action save for the beginning. But this is another chill chapter. Next one will definitely have much more.
And by much more I mean a LOT more. (lol just kidding) but seriously it will be much more interesting.
Okay… NOTES:
(1) I do not know who made it, nor will I really go into detail, Yet. But let me tell you guys, the mask will come in handy more than just using them to kill guys in the Hidden Village.
You'll what I mean. lol
(2) Okay, this may not actually be cannon (apart from the OC's) but I do believe that each race would have some kind of royal status even if it doesn't include a castle. You know.
So you have Zelda, (Obviously XD)
Ralis
and Kora.
~plus it makes it easier to combine the races a bit when writing ^^
Well that's really it. See you guys next chapter :D
