I hope everyone is having a very nice holiday.
I don't own Bones.

Leaving the airport, Booth kept his eyes on the road. Trying to be stoic he was afraid if he looked at his tearful wife he might breakdown and he really didn't want to do that while driving.
Dabbing her wet eyes with a tissue, Brennan reached over and pressed her hand against Booth's arm, "He'll be back in the summer."
His right hand moving over to her thigh, Booth patted it and then returned it back to the steering wheel. "Yeah, you're right. . . . He had fun . . . we had fun and he got to see his baby sister. That's the really important thing."
Sniffing, Brennan rummaged through her purse and found her tissue pack. Removing another tissue, she blew her nose and nodded her head, "Yes, Parker did have a lot of fun and he seemed to like Christine."
Shaking his head, Booth corrected her, "He loved her, Bones."
Her tissue now soggy, she placed it in the small trash bag in the console, "Yes."
Clearing his throat, Hank leaned forward, "Hey you two, we all had a really good time. He'll be back in a few months and we'll be together again."
Nodding his head, Booth smiled, "Yeah, you're right, Pops . . . Would you like to stay a few days with us or do you want to go back to the retirement home? I don't have to be at work for three more days. You can stay with us and I can take you back Sunday."
Leaning back, Hank rubbed his chin, "I'll stay tonight, but I'd like to go back tomorrow if you don't mind. All this traveling and visiting has worn me out. I'm not 58 anymore."
Concerned, Booth glanced at his rear view mirror and checked on his grandfather. Seeing the tired face, he told him, "Sounds like a plan, Pops. I'll cook a little pasta tonight and we can stay home. We'll have a nice quiet evening at home."
Pleased at the suggestion, Hank smiled, "That sounds like a very nice idea, Shrimp."

After unloading the truck of the bags and gifts and placing them in the living room, Booth walked outside and walked around the house. Carefully checking the exterior of the house, the front and back yard, the pool and then the garage, Booth reentered the house, blowing on his hands. Entering the living room, he found that the bags and presents were no longer in the living room.
Hank spying Booth, pointed at the stair case, "Temperance carried all of your things and her things upstairs. I placed my stuff in the guest bedroom."
Smiling, Booth walked over to the stairs and trudged up the steps. Finding Brennan in their bedroom, Booth informed her, "Everything looks fine. I may need to cut that lower branch of the oak tree sooner than I planned. The tip of the branch is starting to scrape the back fence. I may take care of that Sunday if it doesn't snow."
Moving the clothes from their luggage to the dressers, Brennan frowned, "Alright, I'll help you."
Sitting on the bed, Booth rubbed his hands together, "We had a really nice Christmas didn't we?"
Turning, Brennan smiled, "We did. I think we should spend every Christmas at the camp, It's very peaceful up there. I like the solitude."
"We should go up there more often so you can write." Leaning back, Booth laid back and stared up at the ceiling, "You have a lot of distractions around here."
Walking over to the bed, Brennan placed her hand on his chest and stared into his warm brown eyes, "And what would you do up there?"
Leaning up and kissing her, Booth smiled, "I think I should take my mustang up there, I can work on it while you write. I really don't have time to fool with it here."
Rubbing his chest slowly, Brennan asked, "I'm glad you kept the camp, Booth. You deserve to have a place to retreat to."
His eyes staring into her crystal blue eyes, Booth smiled, "I'm glad I kept it too. I think when we retire that might be our permanent home. We'll sell this place and just move up there permanently. . . If you want to that is. I wouldn't want to do that if you . . ."
Kissing him, Brennan assured him, "When we retire, I will be ready to leave the District. Our camp is a lovely place and just a few hours drive from here. I like your plan, Booth."
Pleased, Booth reached out and placed his hand on her hip, "I just want you to be happy, Bones."
Feeling a little emotional, Brennan swallowed, "And I want you to be happy too, Booth."
His eyes glittering, Booth replied, "I couldn't be happier if I tried."

Carrying his grandfather's bag into the retirement home, Booth followed behind Hank and Brennan who was carrying Christine in her arms. Some of the retirees, spying the baby, hurried over and gushed over the infant.
Proud, Hank puffed out his chest and informed his friends, "My new great-granddaughter. Her name is Christine. Don't you think she's beautiful?"
Gushing over the child several of the residents made remarks about beautiful people having beautiful babies. Booth watching his daughter getting so much attention, was grateful that she took it like a little trooper and didn't cry.
Patiently, Brennan looked at Booth and finally stated, "I think we should go to your room Hank so that Booth can put your bags down."
Glancing at his grandson, Hank held up his hands, "Okay, ladies and gentlemen, we're going to my room now, floor show is over for now."
Reluctantly, the older ladies watched as the small family moved down the hallway.
Entering his room, Hank moved over to his couch and sat down, "We don't get a lot of babies here so Christine is like nectar to a bee."
Sitting down next to him, Brennan made sure that Christine was secure in her embrace, "I didn't mind. Christine is very beautiful."
Amused, Booth placed Hank's bags on the bed and started to unpack them, "I have tickets to a Flyers game next week. Want to go with me? It's a home game."
Shaking his head, Hank sighed, "Naw, thanks for the offer, but I really hate big crowds now a days. Take one of your friends or Temperance."
Shaking her head, Brennan stared at Booth, "I think it would be better if you took Harris or Lester. I like hockey but right now, I would rather stay home with Christine when I can."
Nodding his head, Booth finished placing Hank's t-shirts in the dresser and then placed the empty bags under the bed. Standing up, Booth looked around and then sat down on the bed, "Not a problem. Maybe I'll stay home too."
"No Booth, I want you to go." Shifting the baby in her arms, Brennan explained, "You don't go to very many games as it is. I'd like you to go to the next one and have fun."
Grateful, Booth smiled at her, "Thanks, Bones."
His love for his grandson and granddaughter-in-law growing, Hank smiled, "I had a really fine Christmas, you two, a really fine holiday."
Pleased, Booth moved over to the chair near the couch and sat down, "Anytime, Pops. We'll do it again next year."
