Chapter 25: Miracle of Light! The Accel Power Awakens
Narration: After being locked in a life or death battle by the Pokémon Hunter Aster, Golen trembles in the face of what seems to be certain defeat.
"Accel Move, Frost Scythe!" Aster maliciously shouted as the ground below Jynx cracked due to the power of its attack as it unleashed the three crescent-like blades of ice at a rapid pace towards the Grass Snake Pokémon.
"Get out of the way, Goggles Brat!" Nichole shouted to the terrified black-haired lad. "Emo." Emolga muttered as it tearfully cowered in fear. "Snivy!" Snivy shouted at its trainer who remained silent.
As Jynx's move approached it, Snivy attempted to dodge the attack before it soon realized that doing so would leave its trainer vulnerable to getting hit in its stead. "Snivy!" Snivy declared as its tail adapted a white glow before turning into iron. "You idiot you don't stand a chance!" Zorua shouted as the Grass Snake Pokémon rushed at the Accel Move. "Sni-VY!" Snivy fiercely roared as it struck the powerful attack. Despite Snivy's valiant effort it was quickly overpowered as it was encased by the shockwave of the attack. In the shockwave Snivy was repeatedly struck by miniature ice needles as it stood its ground.
The dust had eventually cleared as the aftermath of the attack had passed. "No way." Duke muttered as he and the rest of his teammates looked on in shock as the frozen Snivy stood its ground despite having already been knocked out.
"Emo?" Emolga muttered in dismay as it stared at its fallen companion. "…S…Snivy!" Golen shouted as he snapped out of his trance.
"Hahahaha good job saving your Pokémon." Aster mockingly told the black-haired lad as he ran over to his fallen Pokémon. "I'm sorry Snivy." Golen muttered as he recalled the fallen Grass Snake Pokémon. "I hope Mr. Golen's alright." Vlad muttered as he along with Golen's Timburr and Tom's Houndour aimlessly wandered around in the basement trying to find the location of their captured comrades. "This is bad." Nichole muttered.
"That bastard's got the Accel Power and on top of that he can even use an Accel Move. Goggles Brat really might not stand a chance against him." Zorua stated.
"Hold on, even if that Hunter's got Accel Power as long as Goggles Brat has it as well he shouldn't be at too much of a disadvantage." Duke replied as the trio continued to watch the battle. "Call out your next Pokémon, I won't accept a victory by forfeit." Aster declared. "*gulp* T…Trapinch let's go!" Golen timidly declared as he called out the Ant Pit Pokémon. "Trapinch?" Nichole muttered in confusion.
"That idiot, his Trapinch is in a complete disadvantage." Zorua angrily stated. "Could it be that his fear of death is affecting his decisions?" Duke asked.
"I don't care how messed up he is! If he loses than it'll make all the time we wasted in battling him completely meaningless!" Zorua retorted. "Trapinch, huh? Surely this isn't the best you have to offer." Aster stated in disappointment. "Don't underestimate us, Trapinch is strong!" Golen declared. "It could be as strong as it wants but as long as I have Jynx I won't be losing this battle." Aster smugly replied. "I…I'll show you! Trapinch use Rock Tomb!" Golen commanded as Trapinch formed a transparent gray boulder in the air which it then launched at its opponent.
"Pathetic, Jynx use Focus Blast!" Aster smugly commanded as the Human Shaped Pokémon put its hands together in front of it and formed a light blue orb of energy in between them.
It then raised its hands above its head and the orb grew as big as its own body, Jynx then threw the orb at the Ant Pit Pokémon. "U…Use Dig to dodge it!" Golen hesitantly commanded as the Ant Pit Pokémon dug a hole and quickly jumped into it to avoid the attack. "What's wrong, don't you want to fight to save your friends?" Aster asked as Golen remained silent. "Or have you finally realized that you're no match for me?" Aster added along as he let out a smirk at the depressed young lad.
"Golen's going to destroy you!" Carly declared to the screen that had suddenly appeared as she lied on the ground, tied up alongside Tom. "Carly please, refrain yourself from shouting. After all how will I be able to enjoy the serenity of this moment if you are constantly barking at the screen?" Tom asked his companion. "How can you relax? We're being held captive by a lunatic." Carly told her companion. "No worries, you see in my valiant collision against the psychotic dimwit prior to our capture I had bestowed my Houndour upon Vlad who I concluded would lead a heroic charge to rescue our distressed twosome." Tom confidently answered, absolutely assuming that his prediction would come to fruition to no avail as he stood around awaiting Vlad's arrival.
"Señor Tom, Ms. Carly, where are you!?" Vlad asked as he continued to look for his allies.
"Trapinch use Bite!" Golen commanded as the Ant Pit Pokémon emerged from the ground and bit onto Jynx's palm. "Shake it off!" Aster commanded as the Human Shaped Pokémon tossed Trapinch into the air. "Now use Ice Punch!" Aster commanded as Jynx pulled back one of its fists, which was surrounded by swirling energy which changed from white to light blue. It then swung its fist at its air borne opponent. "Trapinch hurry and dodge it!" Golen urgently commanded to no avail as the Ant Pit Pokémon was struck by the powerful attack.
"That's good." Aster arrogantly smiled. "I just need to buy some time until I can attack at full force again. Though if things are this easy than I might not need to restore my strength." Aster thought to himself as Duke looked at him to see that the sadistic man was slightly fatigued. "How am I supposed to win?" Golen thought to himself before noticing how exhausted Jynx was. "That's it." Golen exclaimed to himself. "Trapinch use Rock Tomb!" Golen commanded as the Ant Pit Pokémon attacked Jynx.
"Destroy that boulder with Ice Punch!" Aster shouted as the Human Shaped Pokémon quickly destroyed the boulder. "Now use Bite!" Golen commanded, Trapinch charged towards Jynx.
"Ice Punch!" Aster commanded as Jynx attempted to attack Trapinch.
"Now dodge it and use Hyper Beam!" Golen commanded as the Ant Pit Pokémon formed a white orb of energy with a pale pink center in front of it. It then fired the pale pink beam of energy with a bright white energy around it from the orb at Jynx at point blank range. "Jynx!" Aster shouted as the dust cleared to reveal that the Human Shape Pokémon was no longer able to battle. "Impossible." Aster exclaimed as the Dogma trio looked on, content with Trapinch's victory. "I underestimated him." Aster angrily thought to himself as he recalled his fallen Pokémon.
"Phew I'm glad that we managed to get rid of that troublesome thing." Golen said in relief.
"Hmph I expected as much." Duke muttered to himself. "It seems that I've discovered your weakness, Pokémon Hunter." Duke declared as his companions looked at him. "What was that?" Aster telepathically asked the ruby-haired man in confusion. "I was worried there when you pulled out that Accel Move but seeing the state you're in now I can tell that your mastery of the Accel Power is minimal at best." Duke answered. "What?" Aster angrily asked. "Nichole, Zorua surely you two have realized it now?" Duke told his companions who quickly understood what he was saying.
"Heh yeah you're right." Nichole smirked. "You idiot, you recklessly used an Accel Move without even thinking about the consequences." Zorua told the Pokémon Hunter. "You bastards." Aster angrily replied.
"Don't blame us for your own weakness. Hehe the thought of an amateur like you wielding the Accel Power." Duke mockingly chuckled at the Pokémon Hunter. "I'll show all of you bastards my power!" Aster angrily shouted as he tossed a Pokéball into the sky. From his Pokéball emerged a reptilian Pokémon with a mostly tan body, pink stomach, black back, and long tail. It had six thick, black stripes on its body: one at shoulder level, one around its midsection, one around its hips, and three on its tail. Each stripe was topped with a triangular spike on its back. The stripes around its midsection crossed two spikes, one on each side of its back. Its arms were short and thin, with a black band around them at the elbow. Each hand contained three short fingers, each with a white claw. Its legs were thick with a band around each ankle, and a stripe above the knee that did not wrap around. Its flat feet each had three white claws. Its head was ovoid with a long snout, and small eyes surrounded by a thick black membrane. Two of its front and rear teeth were visible overlapping its lower jaw. A black stripe sat on the bridge of the snout just behind its large nostrils.
"What is that?" Golen muttered to himself. "A Krokorok, huh?" Zorua muttered. "Trapinch, take a rest for now!" Golen told the Ant Pit Pokémon as he recalled it.
"Go Skorupi!" Golen declared as he called out the Scorpion Pokémon once again. "That was a clever choice to call out a Bug-type to take on the Ground and Dark-type Krokorok." Nichole stated. "Skorupi stay on guard." Golen warned the Scorpion Pokémon. "Emo." Emolga muttered as it gloomily looked on. "There's something wrong with this place." Vlad declared as he sat on the ground. "Timburr?" "Dour?" Timburr and Houndour muttered, confused. "We've been walking around for a while now and we have no lead on where the others might be. Houndour do you think that you can track Senior Tom's scent?" Vlad asked the Dark Pokémon who was unable to track its trainers scent.
"This is really confusing, it's like they're not even he….That's it!" Vlad exclaimed, having come up with a theory.
"We've been thinking about everything all wrong. You see we've been searching this place in the belief that Dr. Tom and Ms. Carly were here, right?" Vlad asked as Timburr and Houndour nodded. "Well what if they were never here to begin with and we were just led to believe that they were because….It's a trap!" Vlad shouted as from behind the trio appeared Cofagrigus who prepared to attack the group.
"Skorupi use Aerial Ace!" Golen commanded as the Scorpion Pokémon was encased in a clear aura as it charged at the Desert Croc Pokémon.
"Krokorok, Fire Fang!" Aster commanded as Krokorok jumped at the opponent and it opened its mouth. Then, red-orange fire appeared and covered its mouth as it attempted to bite down on Skorupi. "Skorupi dodge it!" Golen urgently commanded as the Scorpion Pokémon avoided the attack.
Suddenly the arena slightly shook from what sounded to be an explosion from the basement.
"W…What was that?" Golen asked. "Looks like Cofagrigus took care of that redhead." Aster stated as he let out a smirk. "V…Vlad!" Golen shouted as he attempted to leave the battle to go assist his friend. "Hold on, you don't leave until this battle ends." Aster declared as Golen begrudgingly stayed where he was. "Now use Dark Pulse!" Aster commanded as the Desert Croc Pokémon opened its mouth and a light purple orb surrounded in black and purple circles appeared inside it. It then fired a beam of black and purple circles from the orb inside its mouth at Skorupi. "…Dodge and use….uh Cross Poison!" Golen nervously commanded as the Scorpion Pokémon crossed its arms in front of its face and its claws started to glow purple. A purple 'X' then appeared in front of its crossed arms and it opened its hands, firing the 'X' at Krokorok, who withstood the attack.
"How arrogant of him to not even bother to dodge the attack just because he had resistance to it." Nichole stated, annoyed. "I hate guys like him." Zorua angrily muttered. "I'll settle this here." Aster arrogantly declared as a purple spark emitted from the Desert Croc Pokémon. "What?" Aster angrily muttered. "Serves you right, you dumb bastard!" Zorua shouted. "I might have a chance." muttered a slightly optimistic Golen as Emolga silently looked on.
"Skorupi, return!" Golen suddenly declared to the Dogma trio's surprise.
"Go, Trapinch!" Golen declared as he called out the Ant Pit Pokémon once more. "Heh it doesn't matter how much you switch out your Pokémon because you won't win against me." Aster declared.
"Even if it means fighting a hopeless battle, I'll do it for the sake of my comrades." Golen replied. "Krokorok use Dig!" Aster commanded as the Desert Croc Pokémon jumped into the air, then it dived into the ground face first while spinning its body slightly. "Trapinch use Dig!" Golen commanded as Trapinch followed after Krokorok.
"Thanks for protecting us, Timburr." Vlad thanked the Muscular Pokémon as the trio hid behind a boulder. "Dour." Houndour muttered, wanting to fight.
"Just hold on Houndour, we'll need to look around more to get a clue on where the others are." Tom told the Dark Pokémon. "You think you can give me some time while I search for a lead?" Vlad asked the two Pokémon who happily nodded. "Timburr!" Timburr shouted as it stomped its block onto the ground as multiple boulder came crashing down on the floor from the white rings that appeared in the sky. Cofagrigus quickly dodged the boulders as Houndour's tail began to glow a red-orange color as it smashed the boulders and began to bat the rocks towards Cofagrigus.
From underground the two Pokémon collided various times as the results of their collisions sent out brief shockwaves. Suddenly Trapinch was sent flying from underground much to Golen's surprise.
"Trapinch." Trapinch muttered as it landed on its feet. "Now Krokorok use Iron Tail!" Aster commanded as the Dessert Croc Pokémon quickly emerged from the ground as its tail became surrounded in white sparkles as its tail then turned into iron while it attempted to strike at Trapinch. "Trapinch use Rock Tomb!" Golen commanded as the Ant Pit Pokémon used Rock Tomb to protect itself from Krokorok's attack. "Dark Pulse!" Aster commanded as the Desert Croc Pokémon managed to hit Trapinch with the powerful Dark-type attack.
"Trapinch!" Golen shouted as the Ant Pit Pokémon landed on its feet. "We've got to win this as soon as possible." Golen thought to himself. "Just a little longer and I'll be at full power." Aster stated as he let out a devious grin.
"I found it!" Vlad happily exclaimed as he removed a destroyed crate that covered a secret passageway. Seemingly angered at Vlad's discovery the Cofagrigus went past Timburr and Houndour as it attempted to strike down the crimson-haired lad. "Dour!" Houndour shouted as it quickly moved past Cofagrigus and protected the young man. "Thanks a lot, Houndour." Vlad stated as he thanked the Dark Pokémon. "Dour." Houndour confidently smirked. "You want to battle, huh? Well alright." Vlad stated to the Dark Pokémon's joy. "Hey Timburr can you move on ahead?" Vlad asked to the Muscular Pokémon's confusion.
"Headmaster Tom and Ms. Carly were never in this Warehouse to begin with because they were instead hid in the Warehouse that was next door." Vlad stated. "The Pokémon Hunter's plan was to lure Mr. Golen, who would have come looking for the others, here so he could use the 6th Pokémon, who he happened to leave out of his battle, to attack Mr. Golen if he happened to win the battle. Isn't that right, Cofagrigus?" Vlad asked the angered Coffin Pokémon. "I was confused at first but now I realize that he only ever let me come down here because he never intended to carry out his promise to us." Vlad added along.
"So Timburr can you please take this passage way and retrieve the others?" Vlad asked the Muscular Pokémon who obeyed and left through the passage. In rage Cofagrigus unleashed another Shadow Ball at Vlad as Houndour endured the attack. "Dour." Houndour muttered as it let out an eager grin. "You're pretty energetic, I'm almost shocked that you're Sensei's Pokémon." Vlad smiled as he and Houndour stared down Cofagrigus.
"Bite!" "Fire Fang!" the two trainers declared as their Pokémon simultaneously bit each other.
"I'm surprised you can keep on going." Aster mockingly stated. "This is bad, we're completely outmatched." Golen thought to himself. "Now use Dig!" Aster commanded as the Desert Croc Pokémon once again leaped into a hole. "We can't afford to drag this battle out any longer." Golen muttered to himself as he noticed the remaining pieces of the boulders from Trapinch's previous Rock Tomb shaking. "That's it." Golen exclaimed. "Prepare a Rock Tomb!" Golen commanded as Trapinch prepared its attack. "Now attack there!" Golen commanded as he pointed at the location where Krokorok suddenly emerged from as Trapinch smashed the boulder right into the Desert Croc Pokémon's face.
"No way!" Aster exclaimed in shock. "Now jump into the hole and use Hyper Beam!" Golen commanded as the Ant Pit Pokémon jumped into the hole. "Oh no, Krokorok get out of there you idiot!" Aster demanded to no avail as a pale pink beam of energy erupted from underground. Along with the beam emerged both the Ground-type Pokémon as Trapinch landed on its feet while Krokork fell on its face, having been knocked out by the powerful attack. "Impossible…" Aster muttered to himself as he angrily recalled his fallen Pokémon.
"He's down to his final Pokémon already." Nichole stated. "Heh that Rayzoni jerk sure picked a weakling for his associate." Zorua snickered.
"Is that all there is to his strength?" Duke curiously muttered. "Hehehehe." Aster cackled to everyone's surprise. "HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Aster wildly laughed to Golen's disturbance. "You should have just let yourself lose back then because now that you've forced me to this point…I'm going to make you experience the ultimate terror." Aster declared as he menacing held up a Pokéball. "Come out my strongest ace, Hypno!" the Pokémon Hunter declared as he called out the Hypnosis Pokémon.
"Emo?" Emolga muttered as it felt a terrible power off of Hypno. "This thing is on a whole other level compared to the others." Duke expressed to his teammates. "Does it have an Accel Move too?" Zorua muttered.
"Timburr?" Timburr stated as it managed to reach the end of the passageway which was blocked by a large crate. "Timburr!" Timburr exclaimed as it used Mach Punch to break through the crate.
"Timburr!" Carly happily exclaimed. "But I anticipated the arrival of Houndour and Vlad." Tom stated as he got slightly depressed at the fact that his prediction was wrong. "Timburr, Timburr." Timburr stated as it broke the chair that the two trainers were tied to. "Great now can you untie the ropes?" Carly asked the Muscular Pokémon who had no idea how to untie the ropes. "Come on Timburr it's not that hard." Carly stated as Timburr bonked her on the head with its block. "That's not how you untie it!" Carly retorted.
"So Houndour, what kind of moves do you have?" Vlad asked as he and the Dark Pokémon avoided one of Cofagrigus' attacks. "Dour." Houndour stated as it seemed to be telling the crimson-haired lad to wait.
"That's a Psychic-type Pokémon, so using Trapinch with a Dark-type move like Bite is a good matchup." Golen thought to himself. "Trapinch use Bite!" Golen commanded as the Ant Pit Pokémon rushed at Hypno who merely sidestepped it with ease. "Hyper Beam!" Golen commanded as Trapinch unleashed a Hyper Beam at the Hypnosis Pokémon. "Foolish, Hypno use Psyshock!" Aster commanded as Hypno began to swing its pendulum back and forth as three thick masses of light blue, blue and purple energy formed in front of Hypno's body, and it fired the orbs at the Hyper Beam which quickly overpowered the attack and struck the Ant Pit Pokémon.
"Trapinch!" Trapinch wailed as it fell to the floor, defeated. "No." Golen muttered to himself. "Big deal, that Trapinch was already injured from before." Zorua stated, not believing that Hypno was actually strong.
"Thanks for your hard work." Golen stated as he recalled his fallen Pokémon. "I can't afford to use him." Golen thought to himself as he stared at Emolga. "Go Skorupi!" Golen declared as he called out the Scorpion Pokémon once more. "Heh so you think you can win without using all five of your Pokémon?" Aster asked, amused. "Skorupi use Pin Missile!" Golen commanded as the Scorpion Pokémon's claws glowed white and it fired white, arrow-shaped streams of pins at Hypno. "Use Drain Punch!" Aster commanded as the Hypnosis Pokémon easily took on the Pin Missile while its fist became surrounded in a green orb of energy. It then smashed its fist into the Scorpion Pokémon, who was quickly knocked out by its attack. "Skorupi!" Golen shouted.
"That's good, just one more to go." Aster declared. "I'm sorry Skorupi." Golen told the Scorpion Pokémon as he recalled it. "Looks like it's finally time for the finale." Nichole stated.
"I…can't use him." Golen thought to himself. "You should be aware that as you whine to yourself now that your friends are most likely being crushed by my Cofagrigus." Aster told the black-haired lad. "Emolga!" Emolga declared as it stepped up to battle. "E...Emolga?" Golen muttered to himself as he noticed the Sky Squirrel Pokémon trembling in fear. "He's just forcing himself to battle." Duke declared. "I assume that this is your trump card?" Aster asked as Golen remained silent. "We can't win." Golen muttered to himself.
"Just have faith in yourself. If you don't have the faith to believe in yourself how will we?" Golen remembered Vlad's words to him. "Emolga let's win this." Golen told the timid Sky Squirrel Pokémon.
"After I win here I'll finally get to join Lord Rayzoni's organization. Hypno, Psybeam!" Aster sadistically commanded as the Hypnosis Pokémon began to swing its pendulum back and forth as it began to glow as it fired a magenta beam of energy with multicolored particles from its pendulum at the Sky Squirrel Pokémon. "Emolga, dodge it!" Golen commanded as Emolga barely managed to dodge the attack due to tripping over itself. "Drain Punch!" Aster commanded as the Hypnosis Pokémon rushed at Emolga. "Emolga counter it with Iron Tail!" Golen commanded.
"Emo….Emolga!" Emolga shouted as its whole body became surrounded by yellow electricity and it fired a powerful blast from its body at the Hypnosis Pokémon, who just avoided the attack and struck the Sky Squirrel Pokémon with its powerful attack. "Emo!" Emolga shouted as it fell to the ground. "Is that it?" Aster smugly asked as the Sky Squirrel Pokémon rose to its feet. "Emolga listen to me!" Golen exclaimed.
"Psyshock!" Aster commanded as Hypno continued its fierce assault.
"Knock it back with Iron Tail!" Golen commanded as Emolga instead began to glide in the air moving at such an incredible speed that it seemed as if there were two images of it flying everywhere as it avoided the attack. "What's wrong with that knucklehead? Why isn't he fighting?" Zorua angrily asked his teammates, being disgusted with Emolga's cowardice. "It's been a while but it's still broken from that battle with Rayzoni." Nichole answered. "What's the matter? Aren't you going to fight, you coward?!" Aster mockingly told the Sky Squirrel Pokémon. "Like trainer like Pokémon, I guess." the Hunter added along.
"That jerk, only we can talk to them like that!" Zorua angrily stated. "Come on Emolga! Please listen to me!" Golen pleaded to his Pokémon to no avail as the Sky Squirrel Pokémon remembered Rayzoni.
"Too scared to move, huh? Well that's fine with me, Drain Punch!" Aster commanded as the Hypnosis Pokémon quickly pounded Emolga with the powerful Fighting-attack.
"Why does he keep using a Fighting-type attack on Emolga who has resistance?" Nichole asked, confused as Hypno was paralyzed by Emolga's ability, Static. "Oh no!" Aster mockingly exclaimed. "Trick Room!" Duke shouted, realizing what the cruel Pokémon Hunter was planning. "That's right, Hypno use Trick Room!" Aster commanded as Hypno's eyes glowed red while it began to swing its pendulum back and forth. As a result of that a large light blue rectangle with light blue transparent walls and ceiling appeared around the battlefield. Then, the light blue glow faded, and the walls and ceiling became invisible.
"What's going on?" Golen muttered confused.
"How shrewd." Duke muttered. "Come on Emolga let's fight together!" Golen pleaded. "Psyshock!" Aster commanded as Hypno moved at an incredible speed and quickly launched out its attack.
"Dodge it Emolga!" Golen declared to no avail as the Sky Squirrel Pokémon was struck by the attack. "Emo!" Emolga wailed. "Hold on it was paralyzed, so how is it moving at such a high speed?" Golen asked, confused. "Trick Room is a move that reverses the roles of the quick and the steady, in other words it causes Pokémon with higher speed to move at a much slower rate while Pokémon with mediocre levels of speed gain a monstrous boost in their momentum." Aster answered.
"So he got intentionally paralyzed so he could corner Emolga with his speed." Zorua stated.
"That's right, I knew about that Emolga from the very beginning and had this strategy planned out all along." Aster laughed at his seemingly overwhelming advantage. "Is this the prowess of someone aligned with Rayzoni?" Duke asked as he looked on at the battle with his teammates. "Hey Timburr slow down." Carly told the Muscular Pokémon who continued to drag her on the floor as it walked through the passageway with Tom, who was freed from his restraints. "It's not fair. I mean why was it so easy for you to get released?" Carly asked her companion. "For some odd reason he chose to reinforce your restraints over mine." Tom answered as Timburr continued to drag Carly on the floor.
"Emo!" Emolga shouted as it was hit by Drain Punch. "Emolga come on just work with me!" Golen pleaded.
"What's that knucklehead doing? Letting his damn pride get in the way of winning this battle." Zorua angrily stated. "No, it's not pride that's holding it back." Duke told his teammate. "Psybeam!" Aster commanded as Hypno unleashed another attack, which Emolga managed to narrowly avoid. "I've still got a while until the Trick Room's effects wear out so I'll enjoy myself a little until then. Afterwards I'm going to end this battle with a bang." Aster arrogantly thought to himself.
"This guy's power is unbelievable. I didn't think that there were any more monsters like that guy." Golen thought to himself as he remembered Rayzoni.
"Emo *pant**pant*." Emolga muttered as it rose to its feet. "It's only a matter of time until I complete my mission." Aster declared. "What is that mission exactly?" Golen asked.
"It's simple, the one request that Lord Rayzoni gave me was to kill Golen Ken." Aster declared to Golen's shock. "If that was your mission then what point was there in everything else you did?" Golen angrily asked. "It was mostly just for fun. Though hunting for Accel Power was that side task of mine." Aster answered to the goggles wearing lad. "You risked Carly, Tom and Vlad's lives for something so stupid?" Golen muttered. "What was that?" Aster asked. "I don't care if you want to kill me or if Rayzoni sent you here, but you had the guts to put my comrades in danger all so you can enjoy yourself?" Golen asked as he glared at Aster with a never before seen level of intensity.
"I'll never forgive you for that! I promise that I'll crush you for everyone whose life you toyed with just to get to this point!" Golen declared.
"….You crush me? Don't make me laugh." Aster smirked as he wiped away a sweat drop. "Emolga I know that you're still messed up from before and believe me I'm still not feeling the same either but let's put that aside for now so we can take him down." Golen stated as Emolga stared at its trainer, being completely speechless at how determined and intense his glare was. "I promise that we'll get Rayzoni back for what he did to us back then, but please just get over it for now." Golen added along as Emolga remained silent.
"You weaklings will never repay Lord Rayzoni for anything because you won't even get pasted me!" Aster declared as Golen just glared at him.
"Lord Rayzoni is the true Master of Team Dogma, he's a god that you worthless fools will never be able to reach. After I crush you two I'll attain everything!" Aster declared as he began to maliciously laugh at the duo. "Heh you really think that Rayzoni will give you any of those things?" Nichole asked, being completely amused at Aster's statement. "What was that?" Aster angrily asked the sapphire-haired lady. "Rayzoni doesn't have that kind of authority in Team Dogma. You're obviously nothing but his pawn." Duke added along with a smirk. "You worthless…" Aster angrily stated. "Hahahaha, you must be an idiot if you believed a word of what that bastard Pokémon Hunter told you." Zorua mockingly laughed at Aster. "I'll kill you all!" Aster angrily declared as Emolga finally rose to its feet.
"You're finally back, huh?" Golen smiled as the passion that was once lost from the Sky Squirrel Pokémon's face had seemingly returned.
"As long as Trick Room is in effect you two can't do anything to us! Hypno, Psyshock!" Aster commanded as the Hypnosis Pokémon attacked. "Emolga use Iron Tail to deflect the attack!" Golen commanded as Emolga's tail was encased in a bright light as it turned into steel while it batted away the Psyshock. "Damn you, Drain Punch!" Aster commanded as Hypno vanished. "Emolga dodge it!" Golen commanded as Hypno suddenly appeared in front of the Sky Squirrel Pokémon. "Emo." Emolga stated as it sidestepped Hypno's attack as the Hypnosis Pokémon crashed into some crates. "Impossible, Hypno's speed is supposed to be unmatched in Trick Room!" Aster shouted.
"Just because our speed was decreased doesn't mean that the same thing happened to our reflexes." Golen declared as Hypno rose up from the smashed crates.
"We can't afford to lose anymore time, Hypno use Psybeam!" Aster angrily commanded as the Hypnosis Pokémon once again attacked the Sky Squirrel Pokémon.
"Block it with Iron Tail!" Golen commanded as the Sky Squirrel Pokémon obeyed and successfully managed to protect against the attack. "That's more like it." Zorua smirked. "Emolga use Acrobatics!" Golen commanded as Emolga began to glide in the air, moving at a slower speed than usual. "Hypno use Drain Punch!" Aster commanded as the Hypnosis Pokémon charged at Emolga. Right before the two attacks collided Hypno was stopped in its track by its paralysis. "No!" Aster shouted as Hypno was sent reeling by Acrobatics. "Psybeam!" Aster commanded. "Iron Tail!" Golen commanded in response as Emolga slowly charged at Hypno.
"Hah! As long as Trick Room is in effect I can't…" before the arrogant Hunter could continue his sentence Emolga floored Hypno with a powerful Iron Tail.
"It seems that Trick Room's effect has finally wore off." Duke stated. "I can't lose, not like this. Lord Rayzoni's waiting for me!" Aster shouted. "He wants you dead and I'll carry out his wishes no matter what!" Aster angrily shouted. "That's strange." Duke stated. "What's up?" Zorua asked. "I know that none of us necessarily like Rayzoni but now that I think about it he'd never go to lengths like this to kill one person." Duke answered. "Come to think of it, he isn't the type to get a lackey either." Nichole added along as the trio continued watching the battle.
"Hypno, Psybeam!" Aster commanded as this time the Hypnosis Pokémon began to twirl its pendulum around as it was encased with a cloak of magenta colored energy with multicolored particles around it.
"What's he doing?" Golen asked, confused as Hypno threw its pendulum at the Sky Squirrel Pokémon. "He threw it!" Zorua exclaimed in disbelief. "No way, dodge it!" Golen urgently commanded as Emolga narrowly avoided the attack as the pendulum continued to swing towards Golen, who quickly avoided it. "That was close." Golen muttered as he noticed the cut that he received on his cheek.
"Hey Houndour just how long do you intend to dodge its attacks before you actually fight back?" Vlad asked the Dark Pokémon who just smirked as Cofagrius prepared another Shadow Ball.
In response Houndour quickly leaped into the air. Then an orb of light blue flames formed in front of Houndour's mouth. Houndour then fired a spiraling stream of light blue fire with rings of dark blue fire from the orb at the Coffin Pokémon who was smashed into the ground by the attack. "Awesome, you defeated it in one hit!" Vlad said, being amazed at the proud Dark Pokémon as the Coffin Pokémon lied on the ground, defeated. "Master Tom, everyone!" Vlad happily exclaimed as his allies finally made it out of the passageway. "I'm glad you guys are safe." Vlad happily told his friends. "I had faith that you would rescue us though I hope that Houndour did no damage to your rescue of me and Carly." Tom stated as he smiled at the Dark Pokémon.
"No way, Houndour was awesome! He even took out the Hunter's Pokémon in one hit!" Vlad happily exclaimed to his companions. "Can you guys help me?" Carly asked her companions. "Stop goofing off Ms. Carly, we've got to get going." Vlad told his downed companion as Timburr put her on the floor.
"Attack again!" Aster commanded as Hypno once again tossed its Psybeam enhanced pendulum at Emolga, who once again dodged the attack.
"Drain Punch!" Aster commanded as his Hypno suddenly uppercutted the unsuspecting Sky Squirrel Pokémon. "Emolga use Iron Tail!" Golen commanded as Emolga smacked Hypno away with Iron Tail as all Aster did was smirk. "Watch out Emolga!" Golen shouted as the pendulum continued to swing towards Emolga from behind. "Emo." Emolga stated as it merely jumped to dodge the attack as it used Iron Tail to disrupt the movement of the pendulum.
"Persistent runts." Aster declared as he suddenly felt something. "HAHAHAHA! Finally I'm at full power again!" Aster shouted.
"Hold on, he can use an Accel Move with more than just one Pokémon!?" Nichole exclaimed in shock. "When was that guy able to get so much Accel Power without our organization being aware about it?" Duke asked. "One more time, Accel Move." Aster declared. "Stay on guard Emolga!" Golen told the Sky Squirrel Pokémon who stood in place as Hypno rapidly began to spin its pendulum as a yellow and magenta colored sphere of psychic energy appeared.
"This is my trump card, as soon as my move concludes so will your life!" Aster shouted as he began to laugh.
"Accel Move, Psylock Death Sphere!" Aster declared as Hypno shot out its powerful attack as the ground beneath the move began to break apart. "That move's even stronger than the last one!" Zorua shouted in shock. "Emolga dod…!"Golen stopped his sentence as the Sky Squirrel Pokémon looked back at its trainer. "That's right, we have to get back at them for Snivy." Golen stated as he and Emolga smiled at each other. "Emolga!" Emolga shouted as it rushed at the attack.
Emolga engulfed itself with a light blue electric cloak with a white outline as it rushed at the Accel Move not caring of the results of the clash.
"You fool you can't take an attack like that head on!" Duke shouted as he and his teammates looked on. As Emolga clashed with the Accel Move it was quickly absorbed by the yellow and magenta colored sphere as it began to wail in pain as it seemed to be getting torn apart in the orb.
"Emolga." Golen muttered as he and the Dogma trio anxiously looked on as Aster smirked, believing he was victorious. "Emo." Emolga muttered as it seemed to have fainted as its attack was dispersed.
"Emolga!" Golen shouted as Emolga remembered the misery and shame it had felt ever since its near-defeat at Rayzoni's hands.
"EMOLGA!" Emolga fiercely shouted as it once again ignited the electric cloak from its Spark attack. "What in the world?" Aster muttered in shock as the sphere began to rapidly shake. "There's no way." Nichole expressed in disbelief as she and her teammates looked on as the bloodied Emolga fought against the force of the Accel Move. "No, no, NO! A worm like you can't resist the power of the gods!" Aster shouted. "EMO-LGA!" Emolga shouted as it overpowered the Psylock Death Sphere and managed to break free from it, much to everyone's shock. "I…impossible." Aster muttered in disbelief as he and Hypno looked on.
"I…it's even stronger than we realized." Zorua stated as he shook in what appeared to be fear. "What's wrong Zorua? Don't tell me that you're scared." Nichole chuckled at her teammate. "No, I'm excited." Zorua answered as the trio looked on. "Amazing." Golen muttered while his Pokédex began to shine. "What's going on?" Golen asked as he pulled out his gold-colored Pokédex.
"New Feature unlocked. Accel Feature." the Pokédex declared. "Accel Feature?" Golen muttered as he read his Pokédex.
"You…no way could you have done that!" Aster shouted, being unable to even think properly anymore. "We've got a new move of our own." Golen declared to everyone's shock.
"Accel Power is the power of the future" Golen thought as he remembered all the things he had heard about the power. "A power given to us by the gods, the strength to save the world." Golen declared as Aster began to cower in fear as Emolga began to be surrounded by a golden and white orb of energy. "We'll slay this monster with the power of the future. Accel Move, Shock Blade!" Golen commanded as Emolga formed a white energy blade that was surrounded by golden electricity in its right hand. Emolga then charged at Hypno at an incredible speed as the Hypnosis Pokémon and Aster could do nothing more than stare at their opponent in disbelief. "You…you aren't real!" Aster cried out in complete fear. "Emo-lga!" Emolga shouted as it struck Hypno with its newly learnt Accel Move.
An explosion engulfed the arena as the force of the Accel Move had both destroyed a large amount of the warehouse and sent Aster and his Pokémon flying. As the dust cleared the Hunter had seemingly vanished.
"*pant* We finally won." Golen declared as he fell onto his knees. "Emo *pant* emo." Emolga muttered as it fell to the floor as well. "That was impressive." Nichole admitted. "Yeah, he's definitely worthy enough to be our target." Duke added along. "I can't wait for the day where we defeat them." Zorua excitingly expressed as the trio left the Warehouse. "Mr. Golen!" Vlad shouted as he and the others finally came up from the basement.
"I'm glad you're all safe." Golen told his companions. "Sure is lame how even though you got Emolga to work with you, you still won in such an uncool way." Carly jocularly told her companion. "Says the one who got captured in the first place." Golen snarkily replied. "Uh…I only got captured so that you could get your shining moment!" Carly retorted as the duo began to go back and forth. "Should we stop them?" Vlad whispered to his companion.
"They will tire themselves out…eventually." Tom responded.
Much later in the night, after everyone had already left the ruined Warehouse, something began to move in the rubble. "*pant* I can't believe that those worthless children defeated me." Aster stated as he emerged from the rubble. "Thank goodness that I was able to heal up the injuries I received already. Golen Ken, I will kill him no matter what and I will also gain Lord Rayzoni's trust and gain all the power in the world." Aster declared. "Whose trust and power is it that you want to obtain?" a voice called out to the Pokémon Hunter who looked up.
To his shock he saw Rayzoni sitting atop of a stack of crates looking down on him. "L...Lord…Rayzoni?" Aster muttered in disbelief. "You know who I am?" Rayzoni asked in shock.
"O...of course my master, I'm sorry that I was delayed by that brat. I promise that I'll fulfill the mission you entrusted to me." Aster told the confused lad. "M…mission? Heh that's right. Actually I have a new mission for you to complete." Rayzoni declared as he stood atop of the crates. "What is it?" Aster asked. "Hmph die proudly at my hands." Rayzoni smirked as he held out a Pokéball. "If what you guys said was true then that means that Rayzoni really didn't have anything to do with that guy at all." Zorua told his companions.
"Let's just think about that on another day." Duke told his companion as the trio walked in the streets.
"AHHHH!" a voice shouted after a while. "W….what the hell are you?" Aster asked in fear. "You should know that I didn't become renown for being a Pokémon Hunter, I actually gained fame for hunting Pokémon Hunters." Rayzoni maliciously told the Pokémon Hunter. "No…no this can't be." Aster timidly expressed as a shockwave approached him. "GUHAA!" Aster shouted as he was promptly struck down with the result of that strike destroying the entire back part of the Warehouse. In the smoke Aster's body was mostly unseen as the only part of him shown was his bloodied arm that lied on the ground. "A job well down, my loyal subordinate." Rayzoni mockingly stated.
"Nurse, are my Pokémon going to be alright?" a bandaged up Golen asked the nurse the next morning after the quartet had returned to the Pokémon Center.
"When you first got here they weren't being healed no matter what we did but somehow that doesn't seem to be the case anymore." the Nurse answered to the black-haired lad's joy. "Thank goodness." Golen happily stated as his bandaged up team came out from the back. "Everyone I'm sorry that I let you all get so injured in our battle." Golen regretfully told his Pokémon who didn't seem to mind due to just being relieved that their trainer was fine. "You guys are the best." Golen told his team as he hugged them all even Emolga who pretended to not care.
"Heh I wouldn't have expected for you to be the one to help them heal, Zorua." Nichole told her teammate. "Heh well what did you expect? Injuries caused by the Accel Power take an extended time to heal so we were better off healing them as soon as possible so they wouldn't become vulnerable to anyone before they faced us again." Zorua answered as the disguised trio walked through the streets.
"Nurse what will you do with the captured Pokémon?" Tom asked the Nurse as he and his companions prepared to leave the Pokémon Center. "They'll be fine. In fact a man should be here soon to take all of the Forest Pokémon back into the forest." the Nurse answered to the relieved violet-haired lad. "My Pokédex got fixed up in that battle." Golen happily declared to Carly and Vlad. "Thank goodness." Vlad stated.
"With this behind us we can finally leave." Carly stated while Tom regrouped with the others as the quartet left the center.
"So that's the truck that the Forest Pokémon are in, huh?" Golen thought to himself as he looked at a white truck with a red strip across it as he and his companions continued walking.
Narration: With the terror of the Pokémon Hunter behind them Golen and the others continue their journey. But is the terror truly over?
A while later as Golen and his friends walked along the path they stopped as they saw an incoming truck. As the truck passed Golen noticed the face of the driver as the truck passed. The driver slightly took his hat off as it was revealed to be a disguised Rayzoni, much to Golen's shock. Golen then looked on in utter disbelief as the smirking Rayzoni simply stared at the black-haired lad while he left with the truck that contained the Forest Pokémon. After the truck was out of his sight Golen just trembled as he suddenly fainted.
Major Events (8/17/13-8/18/13): Golen's Pokédex begins to work again.
Golen's Emolga gets over its depression from losing to Rayzoni.
Golen's Emolga learns the Accel Move, Shock Blade.
Tom's Houndour is revealed to know Inferno.
Golen defeats Aster in their 5-on-5 battle, while Vlad frees the captured Carly and Tom.
It is revealed that Rayzoni was not the one who hired Aster to attack Golen.
Rayzoni returns and defeats Aster along with stealing the Forest Pokémon that Aster had captured.
