~At a dark dimension~
"Johan! Diego! Wait!"
A girl chased the two people in front of her as she shouted.
"Johan, Diego, wait please!"
The girl tried to catch up, but whenever she was close to them, they suddenly sped up in a blink of an eye and were far away from her again. She stopped to catch her breath, looking up to see the two person were even further, she finally cried out,
"JOHAN! DIEGO! PLEASE STOP!"
Surprisingly, the two people stopped. They turned back to the girl, who had a relieved and happy face. However, the girl was shocked when she noticed they were looking at her coldly. There was no emotion on their faces.
"Jo…han? Diego?" The girl stammered.
"Why do we need to stop for you? You don't deserve it." One of them with black hair said coldly.
"Eh…"
"Where are you when we needed you? Do you know because of you, our concert was ruined?" The other with light brown hair continued.
"I…I know! I've been trying to get back but…"
"You've tried? I can't see that you've tried." The cold voice said again.
The girl felt her heart was awfully pain. It's like there's a knife stabbing through it. Her whole body trembled in fear.
"I…I've really tried…Reborn-sama said I can get back home soon, so…"
"You seem to be enjoying yourself there." The black haired interrupted. The girl looked up at him.
"If you're having fun over there, why do you need to come back?" The light brown haired continued as he and the black haired began to walk away.
"Wait! Johan, Diego! I can explain!" The girl started running towards them, but their distances became even further.
"You've betrayed us, Maya."
As soon the cold voice spoke, they disappeared in the darkness. Horrified, the girl turned around to find the two.
"Johan?! Diego?! Where are you guys? Don't leave me alone!"
No response. The girl couldn't hold any longer, she finally break down, crying and screaming the names of her two friends who abandoned her.
"JOHAN! DIEGO!"

"HAH!"
Maya's eyes snapped opened and she quickly shot up from her bed. Her shaking hands clutched on the blanket. Tears rolling down as she ran her fingers through her bangs, panting heavily as she did so.
"Not again…" She murmured as she gritted her teeth.
It's been a week she had this dream. The patterns were the same; her friends abandoned and insulted her. They don't believe a word she said. Maya combed her bangs to the back using her fingers. She thought of the dream and started to cry again.
"Ugh…Maya-chan? What's wrong?"
Maya realized her sobs awakened a sleepy Tsuna. She quickly wiped her tears off in case the brunette sees it.
"Nothing, Tsu-san. I…just have a nightmare." Maya tried her best to sound normal and not to sob. She quickly lay back down onto the bed, pretending to be asleep so that Tsuna won't question her any further.
Tsuna, although confused with Maya's action, but he brushed it off since he was very sleepy. He lay back down onto the futon and quickly fell asleep again. Maya hid her head under the blanket. The dream kept crept in her mind as soon she closed her eyes. She softly sobbed, hoping no one can hear her.
But one did. He had been watching Maya since she woke up from her nightmare. He frowned when he saw Maya cried. She looked so…helpless. He watched as Maya lied to Tsuna and quickly got back to sleep. However, he heard faint sobs and frowned again. He murmured something under his breath.
~A few days later~
"Tsuna-kun, have you seen Maya-chan?"
Its recess time in Namimori Middle. Kyoko asked Tsuna when the brunette attempted to go for lunch with Yamamoto and Gokudera. Beside Kyoko was worried Chrome.
"Maya-chan? No, I haven't seen her. Aren't you guys with her?" Tsuna asked in confuse.
Kyoko and Chrome exchanged glances worriedly, "We wanted to ask her to come with us for lunch, but these past few days, she just…disappeared before the bell even rings." Chrome said worriedly.
"It looks like something bothering her. Maya-chan…doesn't act like herself." Kyoko added as she thought of the young girl.
"What? What do you guys mean?" Yamamoto asked. He was as confused as his friends.
"Well…Maya-chan seems to become more quiet than usual. She didn't go to the club activities she entered—from what I heard from the club president—she usually goes! And then sometimes I caught her crying at the toilet, when I asked her what happened, she won't tell me and quickly walked away before I can question her." Kyoko told.
"Maya-chan also slept during classes…She seems to be very tired." Chrome added.
Tsuna and the other two looked surprised. They didn't notice that Maya had changed. To them, Maya was the same cheerful and energetic girl; they didn't know that such things had happened. Tsuna then remembered there was a time the teacher scolded Maya in class. Maya had never been scolded since the first day she enrolled to this school. Tsuna was busy focusing on other things that time and didn't really take notice what was going on. Now he knew that Maya was scolded for sleeping in class.
"We're really worried about her, Tsuna-kun." Kyoko said worriedly.
Tsuna felt ashamed. He stayed with the young girl and yet he didn't notice her change. How can he protect her, if he doesn't know what really happened to her?
As soon they decided to find Maya, the door suddenly opened and in came a young boy, with red hair and eyes, and was panting heavily as he tried to catch his breath. Tsuna recognized him.
"Enma!" He called out in surprise, seeing his friend that rush.
"Tsu-Tsuna-kun, the-there's something wrong with the new student." The boy, called Enma said.
"New student? You mean Maya-chan?!" Tsuna nearly shouted when he heard what Enma said, "What happened to her?"
"I-I was walking back to class just now and I saw her crying at a corner. I attempted to comfort her but then she lashed out at me, shouting and crying. It was terrifying seeing her like this. I just stood there, until she finally calmed down and fainted. Then Hibari-san happened to pass by and he took her to the infirmary." Enma took a deep breath and started telling what had happened.
Tsuna and his friends had the most shocking face Enma had ever seen. Their faces were as pale as a white sheet. It took some time for Tsuna to snap back to reality and started dashing towards the infirmary with his friends. They take no attention to the teachers who were shouting at them to stop running at the hallway.
Maya-chan…Please be alright!
~At the infirmary~
"MAYA-CHAN!"
Tsuna opened the infirmary door, and saw a sleeping Maya on the bed. Beside the bed, stood Hibari and the infirmary doctor, Shamal.
"Quiet down, the girl is sleeping." Dr. Shamal scolded softly. Hibari just glanced at them before returning his sight to Maya.
"Maya…Is Maya-chan alright?" Tsuna asked softly as he slowly approached the bed.
Maya's face was pale and she looked thinner compared to her normal self. There were some traces of tears rolling down her face. Tsuna felt distressed seeing her like this.
"She's fine, just asleep. Judging by her looks, I presume that she doesn't have any good sleep these few days." Dr. Shamal said as he sat onto the chair.
Tsuna remembered Maya will always awoke at the middle of the night, saying she had nightmares. He gently brushed her hair, looking at the girl who was sleeping soundly. I wonder what nightmare caused her become like this… He thought.
He nearly freaked out when Maya's eyes were suddenly shot opened and she sat up straight form the bed. She embraced her shaking body, as tears once again flow out from her eyes.
"Ma-Maya-chan, are you alright?" Tsuna asked cautiously. Maya turned towards him, eyes filled with fear. This is the first time Tsuna sees her like this.
"Tsu...Tsu-san…? Where am I?" She asked.
"In the infirmary. Do you remember what happened before?"
Maya looked away from Tsuna. She ran her fingers through her hair as she stammered, "I…I remember crying…and…and then…"
"It's okay, take a deep breath, you don't need to force yourself to remember." Tsuna comforted. He put his hand on hers.
The young girl followed Tsuna's words and she took a deep breath. She slowly calmed down, "Calm down now?" Tsuna asked. Maya nodded.
"What happened back there? What do you dreamt?" Tsuna asked.
Maya looked away from him, "It's…It's just a nightmare."
"What kind of nightmare that would make you become so afraid? What are you afraid of?" Hibari asked coolly as he leaned against the wall and crossed his arms.
"I'm…I'm not afraid!"
"Your eyes revealed it all. You're afraid of something. Of what?"
Maya was slightly scared when she saw Hibari acted seriously. She looked away from the prefect and murmured, "I'm…I'm not afraid..."
"MAYA!"
Maya was shocked when Hibari suddenly shouted her name, so were the others. Hibari never shouts, and he never shouted nor called a person by his or hers first name. And Hibari never showed concern to anyone. But this time, it's different. He called and shouted Maya's name, and his face was full of concerned.
"Spill it, now." He said sternly.
That was the last straw. The pressure Hibari gave her was too much and she finally broke down.
"I…I want to go home! I want to go back to my own world! I want to go back, and continue my normal life with my friends! I want to sing with my friends, I want to practice with my friends, and…and I want to perform with them on our concerts! I want to go back! Go back to my own world!"
Maya cried as she said out her thoughts loudly, most of the words she used to scream. She took a deep breath after saying her lines and covered her face with her hands, sobbing, "I want to go home…Please…let me go home…"
Everyone was shocked when they heard what Maya said. Going back to her own world? What does she means? Everyone, except Tsuna who already knew in the first place. The brunette frowned as he watched Maya crying. He glanced at Hibari, who also had a shock expression on his face.
As Tsuna was still thinking whatever he should do, a voice interrupted his thoughts,
"Finally broke down eh little one?"
Tsuna turned and exclaimed at the person at the window, "REBORN!"
The baby leapt down from the window and landed onto Maya's bed. He reached out his hands, gently brushing her hair as he spoke softly, "I'm so sorry little one. I know you are eager to go home but…"
He paused, making Maya looked up.
"…We need your help here, little one. You'll get to return home once we're done. I'm so sorry I lied to you." He continued. His big fedora covered his eyes, making it difficult to see his expression.
Maya looked up at him as she hears his explanation. She sobbed," Uuuu…Reborn-sama~" She wailed and hugged the baby. Reborn patted her back and repeated murmuring, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
Tsuna smiled a little watching the touching scene in front of his eyes, but it didn't last long when a certain boxer came in interrupting,
"SAWADA! I HEARD THAT MAYA WAS HURT!"
"Quiet down you turf-top head!"
"What do you say you octopus head?!"
Tsua sighed as his sun and storm guardian started arguing again. He heard giggles and turned back to Maya. The young girl was giggling at the funny scene she saw, and Tsuna smiled seeing Maya had cheered up.
"You have something to tell us, no?" Hibari said coldly looking at Reborn.
As soon the prefect spoke, everyone turned towards Reborn, including the two who were arguing a few seconds ago. Maya also looked at Reborn. She wanted to know why she was here. She wanted to know why they wanted her help. Reborn saw the question in her eyes and so are the others. He slightly tipped his fedora,
"All right, I'll tell you all. I'll tell you all what you wanted to know."
