TOTAL. DRAMA. FINALE.
The contestants all groggily slog into the mess hall after their overly exhausting challenge the other day. They sit down in their new respective teams, and it's clear both teams are already divided. Eva and Ezekiel sit at their end of their team's table, with everyone else on the opposite end. Eva glares at all of them, making it a point to stare down each and every one of them. Duncan stares back at her, not wavering to her technique of intimidation. Blaineley and Anne Maria sit in the center of their table, making sure to let everyone know that they're the ones ruling the team. All the other girls sit away from them, not playing into the whole hierarchy that Blaineley so desperately wants to establish. The two teams wait around, noticing there's no breakfast waiting for them, and that the kitchen seems to be locked up. Unbeknownst to them, something else was going on in the kitchen...and it didn't have to do with breakfast.
"You're doing a good job." Chef says, pacing around. "Makin' that phone call the other night and forcing Chris to kick off four people. It'll get us that much closer to the finale...and my money. He let me get beat up during that racing challenge! He didn't give me a single cent for what I went through. I'm gonna' show him how things are done. And with me by your side, you'll get to the finale, win, and we'll split that ten million dollars."
"I don't think I can do this." DJ says, timidly looking over to Chef. "I can't believe you told the producers I had to leave' cause my MaMa got sick. What do I say when I suddenly show up?"
"You just say MaMa is fine now. If Chris has any problems, I'll take care of him." Chef says. "You may have gotten one over on me last time, but this time you won't."
"This is wrong, Chef!" DJ squeaks.
Chef approaches DJ, and sits him down on a nearby chair. Chef sits as well, holding invasive eye contact with DJ.
"I see me in you. I once was a scared lil' boy, too afraid to do what it takes to succeed." Chef begins. "But once you realize you're being held down, and held back...and that you're a laughing stock; well, you'll do what it takes to win. And I'll do what it takes, and so will you."
"You think...I'm a laughing stock?" DJ asks.
"You're a marshmallow! You ain't done diddly squat the whole season! Your own team probably don't even know you're missing right now. I see me in you, and I used to let people walk all over me. But not anymore. I'm gonna' show Chris I mean business. And you're gonna show everyone out there what a real man is." Chef says. "Now get up, and help me make some damn breakfast, got it?!"
"Yes Chef." DJ woefully obliges. He stands up and puts on an apron, Chef watching his every move.
DJ:
"I already went down this road, and I was so filled with guilt. But Chef is tellin' me I have potential and I gotta' stand up for myself. And if I did get this money, I could treat MaMa right and give her everything she's never had. But is it worth winning if I ain't doing it honestly?"
"Wow, twenty people gone in just eleven episodes." Sam chuckles. "That's like almost two people getting eliminated each episode. This is going by way too fast!"
"At this rate of elimination, I can tell the season will end within nine more episodes, even less if Chris does another quadruple elimination." Dawn notes.
"That can't be right." Harold interjects, pondering statistics in his own mind. "Wait...it is! Good one, Dawn!" He says, giving Dawn a smile. She stares at him blankly, before turning away from him.
"I can't wait til' the second merge. Our team has two more members and we are killin' it, y'know?" Anne Maria exclaimed. "Whatever the next challenge is, we're gonna slay!"
"Preach it, girl. We got eleven to their eight. Ain't no way we're losin'!" LeShawna says.
"We only have ten, though." Bridgette points out, counting over her team. "Hey, where is DJ?"
"He wasn't at the Elimination Ceremony last night." Zoey says. "Have you guys seen him?" she asks Sam and Harold. The two boys shake their heads.
"Good riddance, if you ask me." Blaineley comments. "We need strong players! He's as strong as a feather pillow." she laughs. "Luckily for us, the other team has no strong players!" she says loudly for the other team to hear.
"Screw off!" Duncan shouts over to Blaineley. "What a bitch."
"Right? I can totally tell what brand of hair dye she uses. She is not right in the head! She's like...totally left." Lindsay says.
"Oh my gosh, speaking of being totally left!" Izzy begins. "Remember when I left the show and the came back? Isn't that crazy? I don't think I'll left again."
"Unless we vote you off, eh." Ezekiel mutters.
"Shut it." Eva growls at Ezekiel, elbowing him off his seat.
"Good morning contestants!" Chris greets, bursting through the mess hall doors. "Today's challenge will be a classic WOW-anakwa favorite! Hide and seek, but with a twist!" he announces, making everyone sigh in anger over his 'twists'. "One member from your team will be 'it', while the others will all have to hide. For half an hour, the contestant who is 'it' must actively search for all members of their team. Whenever you are found, you join the person who is 'it' and must search with them. The team with the most remaining unfound contestants wins! So you better hide well, because you do not want to be found! And for those who are searching, you are not permitted to fake your seeking. We got cameras all around this island, so we can tell! If you are not actively seeking out your team, you are automatically disqualified and sent home." he explains.
"This doesn't sound very extreme." Tyler comments. "Sounds kinda'...lame."
"So a team wins just by...chance?" Sadie asks.
"Basically! When you hear the horn over the speakers, get the hell outta' here and hide! You'll have one minute to find your hiding spot, and you cannot move from it! If you move from your hiding spot, your team will automatically lose and you'll probably get sent home for ruining the challenge! Good luck!" Chris says, exiting the mess hall.
"Okay team, listen to me!" Eva starts, commanding attention of her teammates. "We're at a disadvantage because we have less people that need to be found. Our seeker will be someone incapable of doing simple tasks. So, Brick? Will you be it?"
"With all due respect, I believe I do have the abilities to find and seek someone." Brick says. "Wait...is that your way of flirting with me?"
"My way of what?!" Eva shouts, leaning over Brick. "Keep the jokes to yourself."
"How about Lindsay does it?" Duncan suggests. "She can't find her way out of a paper bag, let alone seven other team members."
"Uh...I know a lot about paper bags. I don't use them at the grocery store because plastic is better for the environment." Lindsay says confidently.
"Buzz off dude!" Tyler says to Duncan.
"Or what?" Duncan retorts, cracking his knuckles.
Tyler:
"Duncan is a vicious dude. Like, to his core. He is so mean to Lindsay, and for what? She isn't the sharpest crayon on the box, but neither am I! I'm thinking Lindsay and I are starting to get on better terms...but I don't know right now. It totally sucks, bro."
Duncan:
"Man, my team bites. First I lost Gwen, then Trent, and now this! I'm starting to feel I was too much of a dick to Trent, but when you feel things you don't understand, what are you supposed to do! Somehow, things were a lot simpler when I was dating Courtney."
Eva:
"'Is that your way of flirting with me?' Who does he think he is? You don't ask someone that! What is it his business if I was flirting? Which, I wasn't. Got it?!"
Brick:
"Eva isn't being honest with her feelings towards me, and it's starting to bum me out big time. I'm a gentleman, and I'll respect a woman if she chooses to wait before committing or publicly announcing her desire to be courted. But this seems to be taking its sweet time developing!"
"Speaking of paper bags!" Staci begins. "Did you know that - "
"Shut up." Duncan snaps. "Look we're picking Lindsay and that's final. Mutant Gophers, we agree?" Duncan asks rhetorically.
Eva, Brick, Izzy, Ezekiel and Staci all nod. Tyler shrugs, eventually agreeing. Lindsay stares at the rest of her teammates, unsure of what to even do for the challenge.
"Wait…so I just have to look for you guys?" Lindsay asks. "Or - "
"No." Duncan interrupts. "You just have to walk around for thirty minutes."
"Just pretend you're like...walking around the mall or something." Tyler suggests.
"Oh! Today will be so easy!" Lindsay giggles. "I love mall walking, it's the best way to look for new outfits, and show off my own!"
"Killer Rats!" Zoey begins, standing up before her team. "We have an advantage over the other team, so we have to play it smart. I think I'll be the seeker, and I can pretend not to find you guys and that way we'll win!"
"Hold on...when did she get to be in charge?" Anne Maria asks Blaineley.
"Aren't we basically using the other team's strategy?" Harold asks.
"Really original." Blaineley says, yawning obnoxiously. "Can't we all just hide together, and have Zoey not search where we all hide?"
"Girl, I get you're tryna' have some 'queen of the team' complex going on, but you ain't need to insult Zoey." LeShawna says. "Can you be respectful, or is that beyond your intelligence level?"
"Oh you got told!" Sadie chuckles.
"Instead of fighting guys, can we just work together?" Bridgette pleads. "I know we all want to have our ideas considered, but it won't help us if we're going at each other's throats!"
Blaineley:
"Oh my God, Bridgette has got to go. She's cramping my style. I see why Eva hates her so much. Zoey and Sam have to go, and Bridgette shortly after. I'm not going to be told what to do, or how to play the game. I was supposed to host this stupid show anyway, so I'll run it how I want to!"
Bridgette:
"I wasn't really sure how merging with the Bass would be, but I think it's worse than having Alejandro on our team. Blaineley isn't nice. I mean, she sent me to the Yukon after all after basically kidnapping me! But I know getting angry with her won't solve anything. I have to be a voice of reason!"
"Bridgette is right!" Beth says. "We can all be friends and work together! Right LeShawna?" Beth asks, softly elbowing LeShawna.
"Yeah...you're right. Fine." LeShawna begrudgingly agrees. "I'll play nice, but you wanna' cross me, I'll make sure you get what you deserve." LeShawna says to Blaineley.
"Give her what she deserves now! She got my BFF eliminated for like, no reason! Do you know how mean that is?!" Sadie shouts.
"You're an adult!" Blaineley groans. "You need to sit down, and grow the f - "
Just then, the loud horn blares over the speakers. Everyone, except Zoey and Lindsay, rocket up from their seats and begin to scamper around in pandemonium. Izzy jumps up on her team's table and flips it over! Sadie and Beth run for the door, both knocking into each other. Tyler bolts out of the mess hall, tripping over his own shoes and tumbling down the stairs outside. Eva punches the door to the mess hall; tearing it from its hinges, and walks out calmly. Blaineley pushes Sam away as he steps near her. Duncan casually strolls through the now broken doors. As everyone begins to clear out, Izzy remains; tearing apart the mess hall. She slams one of the windows closed, locks it - and then jumps through it. Once the chaos settles, only Zoey and Lindsay remain in the mess hall.
"So, your team selected you Lindsay?" Zoey askes, trying to make small talk.
"Yeah! They told me I'm really good at this kind of stuff!" Lindsay smiles. "I think it's been a minute so I'm going to go find my team!" she says, walking into the kitchen.
"Lindsay…everyone went outside." Zoey says, gesturing to the shattered window and torn apart door.
"I knew that." Lindsay chuckles, slapping her forehead. She walks to the shattered window, and proceeds to climb through it. She slips, and falls through it; plummeting to the ground. "Oh no, I just ripped my panties!" she cries from outside.
Zoey gives an uneasy laugh, and heads out of the mess hall. She knows she has to at least try to look like she's searching for her teammates because of cameras watching her every move. But if there's one thing she thinks she can do, it's act. She stands on the porch of the mess hall, looking out onto the empty campgrounds. She looks over to see Lindsay running towards the communal washrooms, her ripped underwear dangling around her knees. Zoey gives a slight chuckle and walks down the steps of the mess hall. With no clue what to actually do, she peeks under the porch to see...Sam! Zoey gasps in horror, trying to act as if she didn't find Sam, but it's too late.
"Hehe, you found me! That was fast. You'd get like, a wicked upgrade for your sneak skill if this was a video game." Sam says.
"Sam, I'm not supposed to be finding you. That was the plan so we could win." Zoey complains, walking away. She walks up to a nearby tree and looks up at it. "Like, I bet no one would hide up in this tree!" she says.
She shakes the tree, and only leaves fall from above. Zoey smiles smugly, and as she starts to walk away; there's a rustling from the tree. Sure enough, Sadie comes tumbling down from the tree and lands on the ground!
"Zoey! You aren't actually supposed to be finding us!" Sadie cries, rubbing her bruised knee. "Good thing I was the only one up - " Just then, Beth comes toppling down, landing right on Saide.
"Owie!" Beth shouts. She stands up, crushing Sadie's fingers with her foot. Sadie wails in pain, and Zoey runs over to help her off the ground.
"Well, I guess you're helping me search now." Zoey says. "I also...might've found Sam too."
"There's only six others left! And four of us? Well, we'll be sure to 'look', right?" Beth asks, winking obnoxiously.
"We aren't actually supposed to find the others." Sadie sassily comments.
Beth and Zoey exchange glances of annoyance, and the group of four heads off to 'search' for the rest of the Killer Rats.
Zoey:
"I can't believe I accidentally found nearly half of my team in less than a minute! How does that happen!? How is any of this happening?! This show is actually getting really exhausting. I don't know if I can do this anymore. I wouldn't mind getting voted off, but getting a ten million dollars could set me up for my entire life!"
Beth:
"Zoey is really sweet...but I think she's too nice for her own good. You've got to be able to stand up for yourself, you know?"
Sadie:
"Oh my gosh, I am like, so happy to have more girls on my team! But Zoey is kind of annoying. She's literally like, messing up the challenge so bad! Katie would never do something like that! Katie, if you're watching, I miss you and love you so much! BFFs five-ever!"
"Hello! Team members! I think I'm supposed to be looking for you guys but you told me to just walk around!" Lindsay calls out, exiting the communal washrooms. She peeks down her skirt and sighs. "I guess my tape will have to do it. I might even accidentally give myself that wax I've been needing!" she says to herself. She walks around the cabins, and stops as she hears some whispering. She follows the whispering and peers inside a cabin through a window. Inside are...Brick and Eva!
"Do we have a deal?" Eva asks. Brick rubs his chin, contemplating Eva's suspicious offer.
"Fine. You have yourself a deal. I don't feel this secret alliance is fair to the rest of our team members." Brick says. "It's essentially cheating."
"It isn't! It's making sure you and I are safe." Eva explains. "With you and I teamed together, we can get rid of everyone on our team. With everyone gone, we'll be guaranteed to make it to the finale together and..." Eva stops.
She swallows, clenching her fists. Brick looks at her uneasily, unsure if she's about to have a fit of rage. Eva takes a step closer towards Brick, until she's right in front of him. Shakily, she raises her hand and places it upon Brick's chest. Brick begins to breathe heavily, caught off guard with Eva's seeming display of affection. She quickly leans in, giving him a quick peck on the cheek, and steps far away from him.
"...I like you. So I guess I want us to go far together." Eva quickly says, fusing all her words together.
"You...you admit it?!" Brick exclaims.
"I'm not going to say it twice!" Eva shouts.
"Well, I have to say I'm so pleased, and honored!" Brick excitedly says. "I've never had a girl have feelings for me, or anything like that. This is so...cool!"
"Yeah." Eva mumbles. "Look, with this alliance, there's no questions asked. We stick together, you and I. Got it?"
"Got it." Brick swoons, embracing Eva softly.
"Oh my gosh!" Lindsay squeals.
Brick and Eva turn towards the window and look out it, but there's no one in sight. Just below the window, Lindsay hides, clutching her mouth to make sure she doesn't make anymore noise. She sinks to the ground, processing everything she just heard.
"Ava and Dick are trying to alienate everyone on our team! I have to tell everyone else!" Lindsay whispers to herself. She scurries off, in a desperate search to find her team to let them know.
Eva:
"I guess it's safe to say I have a crush. On Brick. I didn't want to admit it, but I can't hold it back anymore. All the anger I feel just seems to subside for a few seconds when I'm with him. Part of him makes me feel calm, I guess. I don't even think I needed that psychotherapy."
Brick:
"Woah, Eva likes me! She admits it! Finally! This is probably one of the biggest days of my life. Other than my days as being a Cadet, but this comes close! And, it's on television for the whole world to see! To all those who have doubted me all these years, check me out!"
