ISAIAH JYIENDARIUS: DEAD
- forgot to put that in the last chapter…sorry…
Hehe, anyway, my update this time is pretty fast, huh? Well, that's what I do when I have too much free time on my hand so suddenly.
- Guest – we're not sure of that yet…you may not know, someone might just kill her off the next time…I'm a horrible person.
- ZetaKuma – yes, I was torn whether if I kill him or someone else…oh well, time for the investigation!
- That1guyeveryonehates – don't worry, Liam is safe for now, hopefully. Anyway, what's a Mikan? – searches on google – oh, that nurse girl who killed the breeder, right? Well, I had no idea who she was until recently, so I couldn't have Asura pull a 'Mikan' XD, don't worry. Also, nice list, Paylor because he's also French? Why is Himitsu at the very bottom? Hehe, oh well, thanks for the words, and if I'm able to work well on the rest of the chapters, this fiction should end in about 6 more chapters.
- Nemris – because it has to be him…hehe, yeah, I thought he would survive, but meh, I'm a terrible person.
- ChitoseYume – don't worry, you hadn't missed out on much. You're welcome, and yes, I made that chapter creepy, like some other chapters. I have to agree that Isaiah was very useful.
Now then, you shall see how much pain I put my brain through to make up the investigation and murder details…which is very hard…
Gina
I just stood there as my gray eyes stared into the lifeless body of the Watcher. I thought he would survive, taking in every detail in his surroundings to avoid troubles. It seems even people like him will fall one day. "…Is he really gone?" I asked, coughing a bit afterwards.
Junko was brave enough to get close to the corpse, which took awhile, despite there being no blood. He held onto the man's wrist, and looked at us with a shook. "No pulse."
"Oh gawd, why do you have to die, Isaiah?!" Akane shouted, her accent kicking in slightly.
I looked over at Mei and Asura, and both were just tearing up. "I-Isaiah-sama…" Mei muttered as she held onto Asura.
"Hey!" Paylor rushed in. "I heard the announcement. Who-" His eyes widened at the sight of Isaiah. "Ça ne peut pas être..." He muttered in dismay.
"Upupu, how sad~" Monokuma sarcastically commented as he handed me a Monokuma File and just left without saying anything else.
"Le mal ours…" Liam commented himself as he sighed. From there, we all began our investigations. Akane, Paylor, and Mei all went someplace else, whilst the rest of us, specifically me, Junko, Asura, and Liam, remained in the theater. We began to search for clues there, but unfortunately, we couldn't find a lot.
I turned to the Monokuma File to give us some sort of starting clue. "Let's see, Isaiah was killed in between eight to nine in the evening, which means some doors are still open then. Cause of death is unknown, but it could be internal or oblivious."
I heard Asura sighed a bit and said, "I-Isaiah-kun is more adept in finding miniscule details…"
"Oui, too bad he's gone now." Liam invoiced as he tried looking under the seats near the victim.
I walked over to Isaiah's corpse and tried to examine it, but of course, I didn't touch it. As I looked at him, I noticed that his left leg was bandaged, for some reason. "What happened there?" I muttered to myself.
"Hey, I found-ow!" Liam hit his head under the chair and stood up. "I found something!"
Junko walked over to him. "You alright?"
"Yes, I'm fine, mes amis." He assured as he looked down at the object he found. I went to him to check the thing as well, and it appears to be some sort of long, flexible, black, rubber tube.
Asura came to us as well to check it. "…What's that?"
"I, have no idea what this is." Liam said as he scratched his head.
Junko looked at it for a moment before taking it and examining it closer. "…This is part of a stethoscope."
"Stethoscope?" We all repeated in unison. Now that I thought about, Monokuma gave us hospital supplies that could be used as murder weapons. Liam, Asura and I then left Junko to investigate the murder scene.
"Tell us where you were yesterday, Monsieur!" Liam interrogated loudly as he flashed my flashlight at Paylor, looking all serious.
"Well?!"
"L-Liam-kun, calm down." Asura muttered.
Coughing a bit, I then asked, "What was the tube-like thing doing near Isaiah?"
Paylor sighed. We were all by the pool for some reason, but I wasn't sure why he was here in the first place. "Look, mes amis, I don't really have time to answer most of your questions." He replied.
"So you're hiding something!" Liam exclaimed.
"No." Paylor stated bluntly. He was bending over, kneeling down as he peered into the water in the pool. "Hey, there's something at the bottom of the pool." He stood up and smiled at us. "Which one of you would like to check it out? Liam, Asura?"
"Hey, why won't you ask Gina?" Liam asked, almost shocked-like.
"I-I-I don't really like w-water..." Asura invoiced as he looked terribly nervous.
"Fine." Paylor sighed. Without hesitation, he dived into the water. Minutes later, he came back, flipping back his wet hair. He set down a broken defibrillator onto the floor and got out, soaking wet.
"U-U-Uh…" I noticed that Asura was staring at Paylor as he was dripping wet, and I saw small tints of red on his cheeks. Weird, I thought. "I-Isn't that Isaiah's?"
"Yeah, it's his defibrillator." I said. I tried to examine it, but Paylor told me to stay back.
"Be careful mademoiselle. It might shock you." He said as he looked at it himself. He cut the wire that made it spark, and it just died down. He then pulled out something in between the compartment of wires. "Strange, Akane's scalpel is here." We were all surprised, especially Liam.
"Oh that sharpshooter has a lot to spill. Let's go!" Liam exclaimed as he pulled me along whilst Asura stayed to help Paylor.
"Eh?! How did my scalpel get there?!" Akane questioned loudly as ever. Liam, Akane and I were at the Chemical Room, apparently the last place where Akane last seen Isaiah.
"You better tell me the truth, mademoiselle!" Liam said.
Akane folded her arms across her chest. "Listen, I don't know how this thing," She snatched the scalpel out of Liam's hand. "Got in Isaiah's defibrillator. All I know that I've lost it since yesterday, and only until now I got it back." She stated.
"How did it get lost?" I asked, coughing afterwards.
"I'm not sure, maybe when I was walking around the school or something." She said.
Liam scratched his head. "How did it get lost by walking around?" He inquired.
"Maybe someone took it from my pockets with their sneaky hands, like in those Mission Impossible movies!" She exclaimed as she smirked. "Anyway, have you guys noticed this yet?" She asked as she showed us an empty bottle with the letter C, still sealed, but empty. "This is poison, right?"
"Looks like it." Liam said, examining it.
"Maybe Isaiah was poisoned!" Akane exclaimed. "But…it's still sealed, so how could one take out the contents?"
Liam shrugged. "Who knows, just let the more observative people check it out."
"So someone stole your scalpel yesterday, and you didn't know about it until recently, and then there's a possibility that Isaiah could have been poisoned." I summarized as I placed a finger on my chin. "Strange…someone with that level of stealth…" I trailed as I excused myself and just walked around the school, leaving Liam and Akane to continue their dispute. I thought for awhile until I found myself in the library, where Mei was. She was behind a few shelves, and apparently, hiding from me. "It's just me."
"I-I…h-hi…" She stuttered as she showed herself little by little. She was holding onto a folder that I recognized. Before I could say anything, she said, "I-I found this just lying around here. I-It's the list of two batches of students of two different schools."
I just kept quiet. I wonder if she knows that I already know that. "So? What about it?"
She just whimpered a bit as she held onto the folder. I then noticed small dots of red on the white ruffles of her sleeves. "I-I read through it, a-and, well, I found a few strange things…"
"Like what?" I asked, but then the speakers buzzed.
"Yo yo yo! Wut's up, doug?! Gyahaha! Anyway, I'm officially bored, so that's the end of your investigation! All of you meet up downstairs!"
Mei and I then left the room and headed towards the Red Door. As we entered, the others were already there. I then noticed Himitsu, who I hadn't seen yet today until now. "Where have you been?"
He laughed a bit as he rubbed the nape of his neck. "Sleeping in~" He cooed. His smile turned into a frown. "So Isaiah died, huh? I'm actually surprised."
"All of us are." I said.
"Of course, except the killer." Junko muttered as he folded his arms across his chest as he glared at all of us. What is he angry about? I noticed that some of us are also looking away from one another. What's going on? Anyway, we entered the elevator, and it began to descend. We descended lower and lower, until we arrived at the courtroom.
"Upupu, it's been awhile, right?" Monokuma said as he smirked. "Welcome back, everyone! As always, the décor changed, fitting the theme of this time. Let's get things going!" We all stood in our respective stalls, and I saw Isaiah's crossed out picture in his own.
One of us has killed our classmate, and they must secure their freedom, or else it's execution. A trial for life, a judgment of death. Deception in life, a treachery in death. Betrayal for life, and betrayal for death. The riddles of life, and the mystery of death. Justification for life, and realization in death. Faith in life, and trust in death. The Class Trial to live, or the Class Trial to die.
Class Trial is in Session!
"I just want to say this, it's not me!" Akane shouted, pointing onwards.
"You know if you do that, people will be suspicious of you." Liam said. "…Why do I know that?"
"Anyway, why don't we discuss how Isaiah was killed?" Himitsu asked.
"That's the problem, playboy." I began. "We don't know the cause of his death. All I know that he died between eight and nine last night."
Mei rubbed her arm as she nervously said, "W-Well, I guess we can discuss about the clues we found."
Paylor nodded in agreement. "Yes, why don't we start with that?"
"Alright then, let's discuss the corpse first." Junko suggested. "The body should have a lot of clues to give, and the things surrounding it." He looked over at Paylor. "Like the tube of your stethoscope. How did it get there?"
"I'm not sure, all I know that I lost it, but only today I noticed that it went missing."
"So haven't been taking care of your things?"
"I do take care of my things, Himitsu doesn't." Paylor invoiced, glaring at the said person.
Himitsu held his hand up in defense. "Hey, why join me in your dispute? I slept throughout the entire investigation-"
"Which makes you a suspect." Paylor said bluntly.
"I was really tired!"
"What did you do?" I inquired, looking over at him with a neutral expression.
Himitsu looked a little nervous as he rubbed the nape of his neck. "Ehehe…well, I can't really say for sure…"
"You are a suspect then." I merely stated as I averted my attention back on the others. "Anyway, if Paylor didn't know about it being lost in the first place, then he doesn't know how it got there." I then immediately added, "While we push that aside for now, there's something I like to point out, and that is Isaiah's left leg."
"W-What about it?" Asura asked, nervous as always.
I looked over at Mei. She saw me and looked away. "His leg was bandaged, and I assumed that he was wounded there." I stared at Mei and said, "I think Mei knows what happened."
"I-I-I do not…" She denied. "T-There are bandages in the infirmary too, y-you know."
"Yes, but the bandage types are different." I stated. "That bandage around Isaiah's leg is definitely yours." Mei just whimpered as she began to get teary-eyed.
"Now hold on." Paylor exclaimed. "Isn't it possible that someone could have taken the bandage and just used it? I mean, I lost some parts of my stethoscope."
"My scalpel also went missing, remember?" Akane said.
I then heard Liam murmuring something as he said, "I-I lost my thermometer as well."
"We'll get back to you." Akane told Liam, smirking.
"The bottom line is that Mademoiselle Mei could not have been near Isaiah." Paylor said, defending her.
I sighed and said, "Then how would she explain those red dots on her sleeves?" I pointed towards the white ruffles, even Mei had to check it. She yelped in surprise as she hid them behind her back and gave a nervous smile.
"I-I-It's nothing! I-It's red paint from the Art Room." She said nervously.
"Can't be." Liam said. "I was there for the majority of the day."
"Y-You were by the pool yesterday!" Mei stated. Liam looked at all of us, confused. He looked down as he thought about what happened yesterday.
"What time were you in the Art Room?" I asked, looked at Mei curiously, and then coughing.
She started to fidget with her fingers as she said, "U-Uh, a-around six in the evening yesterday…"
"Got it!" Liam exclaimed loudly. "I was in the art room around eight to eleven in the morning, then there was Monokuma's announcement, then the meeting, and then I joined Isaiah and Mei to the pool, then…I got…electrocuted, somehow? Anyway, when I woke up in my room, I went to the art room and stayed there from four in the afternoon until onwards."
Junko seems to be following as he then asked, "Did you see anyone then?"
"Aside from Akane, who went there around six in the evening, no one else seemed to be there."
I looked over at Mei and saw her looking dismayed. "Meaning those dots are not droplets of paint."
She rubbed her hands a bit and said, "I-It's from checking Isaiah-sama, y-you know, earlier."
"You're not one to lie to us, Mei." I said. "Earlier, you and Asura didn't even come close to Isaiah's corpse, and you left without even investigating anything near him."
"There wasn't even blood on the scene of the crime." Himitsu said.
I looked at the playboy. "You weren't there."
"Hey, I checked it before coming here."
"Suspect…"
"Mademoiselle Mei?" Paylor began, looking at her worriedly. "Are you really lying?"
She just whimpered, crying a bit. "I-I…"
"Wait, what were you two doing in the Art Room at six in the evening?" Monokuma asked curiously towards Liam and Akane.
Alright then, that was the first part of the class trial! Did I give enough clues to help you figure out the culprit? Of course not! I'm evil Monokuma, and I don't want to make it so easy, upupu.
I actually feel sorry for Mei to be in that situation…did I go to far? Naah…
