This has been one of my hardest chapters. I felt like I really needed to get this chapter out there even though it is 2 in the morning. I hope you guys like it. Please comment and criticize! Before I forget again someone asked me if I would be continueing chapters with every new episode that comes out. The answer to that is no. I already have a plan for the ending to this story. If enough episodes come out revolving more around Castiel I might do another story with him in the central focus. My second My Candy Love story will have Kira and Castiel in the story (I can't give any more details about it because the surprise is tied in with this story and the next one.) Once I have finished Haters Gonna Hate I will also be doing another My Candy Love story but it will be Castiel's PoV throughout the events of Haters Gonna Hate. After those two stories, Kira and Castiel have only a slight chance of showing up in my Lysander/OC romance story, and any one-shots.

Disclaimer: I don't own My Candy Love or any of its characters.

Kira's PoV

"Who do you think recorded the video?" I asked Nathaniel while we waited inside the student council room. It was Tuesday morning, and after three days of complete preparation and planning the group had come to the conclusion that they had the perfect set-up to put Deborah in her place. Right now all Nathaniel and I were doing was waiting. Waiting sucks. Waiting sucked so much that I had tried to get my mind off of this terrible chore we had to do. Since every student we had passed glared at me, and the school was gossiping all about the video. The video was naturally on the forefront of my mind.

His eyes never strayed from the important looking document sitting in front of him. "I don't know," he answered. Nathaniel heard my unsatisfied huff, so he continued. "Probably some random person she hired to be there at the right place at the right time."

Perking up at the thought of talking to this random person instead of following through with this plan, Nathaniel stopped me. "The video was probably sent through her phone, so even if we found that person somehow we would only have their word for it. No. This is the best course of action we can take." My jaw snapped shut. Once again, the only thing I could do was to wait. Which sucked.

"Here she comes!" Alexy whispered from outside the room. Shuffling closer to Nathaniel, he and I pretended to be communicating quietly.

"Oh!" A horrified gasp made my eyes focus on the source of the sound. One hand hovering in front of her mouth, tears began to glisten in Deborah's eyes. Seeing me, she turned to the person beside her. It was Castiel who was holding her backpack. "I'm sorry, Kitten, it… it's just so hard to see her here," Deborah whimpered cringing away from me.

"You have nothing to apologize for," Castiel growled pulling her into him. As if he needed to protect her from me. One hand on the small of Deborah's back, Castiel gently guided her away from us.

Lip curled, I tucked my chin into my chest to hide my rage. While patting me on the back Nathaniel was able to at least give me a measure of comfort. "That went better than I expected."

"How?" I snarled ripping the word with my teeth.

Smirking he responded, "Deborah won't be able to stand it that we are all buddy buddy now. You really pissed her off, Kira. She doesn't just want to hurt you, she wants to destroy you."

"I really don't know how this goes along with our plan."

"If we keep up our best friend act, Deborah will probably find you when you are alone and do something to try to get sympathy from me. I bet she will smack herself, and place the blame on you while seducing me."

I snorted at the thought of Deborah seducing Nathaniel. "I can't imagine that."

His eyes looked distant. "She already has tried before." I winced. Yeah, that rumor about Nathaniel trying to kiss Deborah was the other way around. She thought that if she could seduce Nathaniel, he wouldn't tell Castiel about overhearing her conservation with the manager saying that she wanted to go solo. Guess Castiel hadn't seen it that way when he walked in though.

"How are you able to predict what she is going to do, so well?"

"I have that thing for a sister," Nathaniel grumbled head dipping to Amber's general direction," and I've been watching Deborah ever since I found out she was pure evil."

Letting my hand rest on his shoulder I smiled. "Thanks again for helping me, Nathaniel."

"While I will never understand what you see in that idiot," Nathaniel murmured. "You are a good person, Kira, so I am happy to help." Getting out of his chair, Nathaniel took my bag and his on each of his shoulders.

"You don't need to do that."

"Remember? We are best buddies starting today. Lets show this school just how close we are!" He said with false excitement.

It was weird. Weird to go out one class to find the student council president and not the school's biggest delinquent waiting for you. Castiel never held my bag for me. Castiel never apologized when he bumped into someone. It was also never silent when Castiel was around. The two of us found a small reprieve in mystery novels. I had read enough to talk about them. Nathaniel had read so many he could adjust the topic to my needs. Nathaniel never pulled my hair. Nathaniel never tried to trip me. I still wanted Castiel being a dork beside me.

It was lunch, and I was trying to find an empty table where Nathaniel and I could sit alone. Rosalya was sitting next to Deborah and happily chatting her up. Lysander and the twins were sitting on the edge of Deborah's group trying to look not to uncomfortable.

Waiting until most of the students had gotten lunch before Nathaniel and I went up, meant there wasn't much to choose from. Grabbing a yogurt, I paid at the cash register and moved on. Behind me was Nathaniel as we made our way to an empty table. Hunger wasn't on my mind, so I absently stabbed at my strawberry yogurt.

"Maybe we should feed each other," Nathaniel casually said.

Startled, I stared at him with the spoon paused only a few inches from my mouth. "What?"

"You know, with the whole best friends forever thing. I was thinking we could feed each other to make it more realistic."

Unknowingly, a grin began to spread across my face. Just the thought of feeding Nathaniel yogurt made me want to laugh. Eyes twinkling, Nathaniel smiled softly mirroring my own face. Feeling relief, I couldn't help but appreciate Nathaniel's attempts at trying to cheer me up. I would never be able to thank this guy enough.

Turns out we didn't need to shove our friendship into Deborah's face for long. In a spare moment before History (which I was completely dreading) I escaped to the intercom room to check everything out. Armin met me in there. "When Deborah begins to talk, all you have to do is push this button," he informed me while pointing to a small button on the chair behind the desk. "The microphone is already positioned in so that it can broadcast everything said in this room. Right after school, tell Nathaniel to meet you in here while Deborah is over hearing you two talk. I'm sure she will create her own distraction for Nathaniel before Deborah comes to meet you in here herself." Taking a quick peek outside the door, he gave me a fast hug. "Good luck!"

After Armin left I couldn't help but look around the room. Naturally, since Nathaniel was my new-found bestie it would be the best hiding spot from prying eyes. I still had five minutes before class started, so I took a seat on the desk. Prying eyes weren't running themselves through my body like daggers. In this room I was alone with my thoughts. Out there I was in the spotlight, and it was a place I would rather not be. Getting off the desk I tried to think of a way that I might press the button without her noticing me. To focused on my own planning, I didn't notice a brunette witch slip into the room with me. Her slamming the door shut and locking it definitely caught my interest. Being startled and falling slightly forward to hit the button was part act and part actuality.

"I didn't mean to startle you!" Deborah said in her fake, grinding, innocent, cheerful voice.

I pushed it right? Did I push it hard enough? Oh my god, what if I didn't push the button correctly and my one and only chance is being ruined because I am incapable of pushing a button? With these thoughts scrambling themselves around in my head it was pretty easy to act freaked out. "What are you doing in here?"

The façade dropped. You could almost see the mask of kindness and love slip off and pool at her feet as if her evilness had made it melt. "You know. Nathaniel used to hide in here after he made the school hate him. It was only a few days before I left, but I can still remember the school shunning him."

"We both know whose fault that truly lies with," I spat. The intercom room was sound proof for the soul reason that during announcements they didn't want students outside screaming obscenities that could be heard by the microphone, but I could imagine that the hallways themselves were hushed at this moment.

Deborah clapped her hands. "I get it now. Nathaniel believes your story, in turn you believe his story."

"They aren't stories." Oh my god! The plan was working.

"It's funny, you know. I thought it would be harder to turn sweet, poor, little, Kira into the villain. You don't look that scary, but it is always the quiet ones they say."

"It is easy when you have such proof," my voice trembled, "like the video."

Chuckling, Deborah waved it off. "50 dollars was all it took to make that guy wait for the perfect opportunity to discredit you. Turns out he didn't need to wait long, who knew you would be so protective over Castiel?"

"I wouldn't let you walk all over any of my friends," I snarled. "Why did you even come in here? Castiel doesn't believe me. None of my friends believe me. The school doesn't believe me."

She sighed, "Of course they wouldn't believe you. No one in here has a shred of intelligence. Castiel believes anything I tell him if I bat my eyelashes. Violette, Iris, Melody, and every other idiotic girl wandering these hallways just need a video and a sob story to know who the bad guy is. None of the guys here are smart enough to even figure out what is going on around them. The teachers are completely ignorant of anything that goes on in here. Like I said, everyone is stupid. Besides Nathaniel I guess."

"He figured out what you are the first time."

"At least no one believed him, and no one will believe you soon. Just need a couple of bruises. A sorrowful tale about you beating me. A few kisses and maybe a one night stand to make Nathaniel forget who you even are. Then, finally, you will be truly alone."

I gaped at her. "Not only are you capable of using people to get to the top, you will sleep away your troubles too?"

"Of course. What's wrong with wanting to be the best? Castiel is in love with me, and all lingering affections for you will disappear the first night we sleep together in our five-star hotel room. As long as he fits my needs, I will keep the boy around. Not too bad for him either. Castiel will get some money at least."

"If you think it's such a sweet deal for him, why don't you tell Castiel the truth?" I said grimacing.

Deborah laughed. "We both know I can't do that. Castiel needs have faith that someone loves him, or he can't function. Weak. Stupid. Little boy he is."

"I'm sure he will be much better off without you," I coughed out.

Perplexed, Deborah only looked at me. "What do you mean? Of course he is going with… me…" Her voice trailed off as I held up the microphone.

"Sweet Amoris, there you have it. Deborah's true thoughts on about everyone in the school, mostly. I told you guys I would deliver the truth and there you have it-"

"YOU BITCH," Deborah screamed yanking the microphone from my hand. Rushing past her, I fled. Sharp nails clawed at my face leaving bloody scratches on my cheek, as I opened the door. What awaited me was the principal, fuming.

"I don't know what is going on, but this is inexcusable! Deborah, if you, yourself, do not leave the premises immediately, I will call security. I recommend going back where ever you came from, young lady, because we do not tolerate such outrageous behavior!" The short grey-haired women in a pink dress was enough to sent Deborah scuttling towards the exit. Still red in the face the principal turned back to me. "While I do not approve the intercom room being used in such a way, I will let it slide this one time. Keep your drama to yourself, and do not broadcast it throughout the school!"

"Sorry, madam," I muttered keeping my eyes on my feet.

A terribly long breath escaped her. "I can see what drove you and Nathaniel to such extremes. Never again, though. You hear me?"

"Yes, madam."

"Now go to the nurses office to get cleaned up. You are excused from the rest of 7th period for today."

Eyes locked on the floor beneath me, I quickly walked to the nurse's office. Bandaged, yet still a little broken I headed to the front office. I couldn't just walk out to my car and drive off without seeing anybody.

When the bell rang students began to spill into the hallway. Hushed whispers, loud jeering, and excited movement came to me like a wall in the form of people. Seeing me sitting by the doors, everyone froze. I stood up. All hints of anxiety gone, I stared long and hard at everyone. No one apologized. Violette slid back into the crowd. Iris wouldn't look up. It was Rosalya who pushed her way through to greet me.

"It worked! Did I not tell you it was going to work?" Rosalya ecstatically cheered hooking an arm around my own. The twins, right behind her, each gave me a small hug.

Alexy shoved his hands in his pockets. "I never doubted that it would work."

"It happened early then we expected. I guess it went okay. You shouldn't have gotten hurt, Kira," Armin said rubbing a thumb on my bandaged cheek.

The twins seemed satisfied with the outcome, but Rosalya glared at the surrounding people. "I haven't heard anyone apologizing."

"It's okay," I tugged her towards the parking lot. "I didn't do this for an apology."

Headed towards the car, the twins began talking. "Where did Castiel go? If anyone is going to say they are sorry it should be him!"

"I didn't see him when we were walking towards Kira," Alexy added.

Rosalya squeezed me. "From what I heard, Castiel raced from the classroom to the intercom room after hearing Deborah trying to strangle Kira. The principal sent him away with Lysander who had come there also. Lysander drove Castiel home."

"Oh," was all I could respond to that. The three of them wanted to come home with me, but I assured them that I was okay. That I would be okay. Heart pounding I was finally able to drive home.

After I had let Poppy out to go to the bathroom, I just sat on the couch. It was over. It was really over. It didn't feel real. Wrapping my head around the thought that I would never see Deborah ever again seemed like a gift from the heavens that I never thought I would get. There were still things that needed to be done of course. I still needed to talk to Castiel and Violette. An apology from the rest of the school wasn't necessary, I truly needed to have a conservation with those two. I would let them talk to me when they wanted to. There was no rush. Anxiously, I glanced at Castiel's house. No rush. That two worded mantra kept repeating itself in my head as I readied myself for bed.
