Lulu walked back into the foyer to catch her breath before she went on into the living room, Nadine stood up and started to say something, but Lulu stopped her, "It's okay Nadine, I know he lied to you. If you would excuse me, I'm going to pack my things so my family and I can go home."

"Lulu," Johnny lightly grabbed her hand in an attempt to calm her down, she looked at him with tears still in her eyes, he moved his hands up to run his thumbs under her eyes to wipe away the tears, "just settle down, okay?"

"Can we just get our stuff together and get out of here, the sooner I can leave this place, the happier I'll be." Lulu forced a smile

"Do you think we have room on the jet for Nadine?" Johnny asked

Lulu had almost forgotten her sister-in-law was still even in the room, she looked over to Nadine who was cradling Leah in her arms, "If not, I can catch a commercial flight home, but I'm not staying here, this is a side of Nikolas I've never seen before and I don't think I could ever forgive him for doing something like this to you." Nadine added

"So you're going to divorce him?" Lulu asked

"I don't see any other option, I married him to make my Aunt Raylene happy and we rushed into everything, I love your brother, but I can't trust him after he does something like this." Nadine admitted

"Well, of course you can fly home with us." Lulu said with a smile

They all went upstairs to pack, but when they came down the stairs to leave with suitcases in hand, Spencer was sitting on the staircase playing with his video game.

"Spencer," Lulu said, he looked at her, "give me a hug and a kiss, I'm going to be gone for awhile, okay?"

He put the game down and jumped up to give her a hug and a kiss, "Is Mommy going with you?" He asked, seeing Nadine coming down the stairs with two suitcases.

Lulu was taken aback, she still hadn't gotten used to him calling Nadine 'Mommy'.

"Yeah honey, I'm going with her." Nadine replied as Johnny took her bags.

"And Leah too?" he questioned

"Yeah." Lulu looked at him sadly, knowing what was coming.

"Why can't I go?" He questioned

"Because honey, you have to stay here and take care of your Daddy." Nadine said, sitting down on the stairs next to the little boy.

"I want to go with you and Aunt Lulu!" Spencer cried

"Sweetie, I wish we could take you, but we can't." Nadine was about to cry, so she stood up and looked at Lulu, "I don't feel safe leaving him here with Nikolas, but I can't just take him, I'm not legally his mother, we started the adoption process, but it isn't complete."

"No! I want to go!" He was screaming through his tears.

"I'll be right back." Lulu said, she walked into study where her brother was sitting with a bottle of scotch, "Nikolas…I can't leave Spencer here with you like this, he's out there crying because he wants to go with us."

"He's my son Lulu, you can't just take him." Nikolas told her without making eye contact.

"Nikolas, you're not in any kind of state to take care of him. I'm taking my nephew home with me for his own safety. When you figure everything out, you can come get him." Lulu said

When Nikolas didn't respond, Lulu went back out to the staircase and scooped Spencer up, "Come on, let's get out of here." She said quickly as Johnny grabbed Leah's carrier and the each grabbed a suitcase, Martin took the extra one for them.

"What did Nikolas say when you told him you were taking Spencer?" Nadine asked once the Zacchara jet was in-flight around 8 PM, and Spencer was sleeping with his head in her lap.

"He said that Spencer is his son and I couldn't just take him, but I reminded him that he's not in a position to take care of him right now so I was taking him with me." Lulu explained, "And when he figured everything out, he could come get him."

"So are you going to keep him with you and Johnny?" Nadine asked

"Well, he could stay with us, but I figured Spencer would be a little more comfortable with you." Lulu replied

"Thank you Lulu." Nadine said with a sigh of relief, "Legally, he isn't mine, but I think of him as my own, and I don't want to give him up."

"I just wish I could promise he would stay with you, but I know Nikolas will fight for him just to spite you." Lulu added, "I've never seen him act like this before, he's turning into a true Cassidine."

"Enough about this, let's talk about your family…it looks like Leah already has Johnny wrapped around her finger." She told her sister-in-law as she looked at Johnny who was lying on the couch across from them, asleep with Leah in his arms.

"Oh yes, you would have never thought he only met her yesterday, he's such a natural with her." Lulu replied, "He's going to spoil her rotten and it's not going to be good."

"Well, she's only a couple of weeks old, as long as you don't let it go on too long, she should be fine." Nadine said

"That's the problem, I'm afraid it will." Lulu had to laugh, she really didn't mind the fact that Johnny was spoiling their daughter and would continue to no end, but she just didn't want to deal with a 4-year-old Leah that wouldn't sleep by herself and wanted to be held all the time.

"No it won't." Johnny chimed in with his eyes still closed, not moving.

"Then let's see you put her in her bassinet and let her sleep there." Lulu said

"No." He replied simply

"Why?"

"Because we're comfortable where we are and it's too much trouble to get her bassinet and set it up." Johnny told her

Lulu picked up the portable bassinet from the floor next to the couch and set it up in about 20 seconds next to the couch Johnny was on, "There ya go." Lulu smiled sarcastically at him

"But she's comfortable right here." Johnny said, patting Leah's back lightly.

"Put her in the bassinet Johnny." Lulu insisted, attempting to be serious, holding back giggles when she looked to her sister-in-law who was also laughing.

"She's only two weeks old Lulu, she can't possibly be spoiled at this age." Johnny replied

"But this is where it starts and before you know it she's eleven and still wants to sleep with us." Lulu said, "What's going to happen when I have to go to work and you're doing 'family' stuff and we can't keep a nanny because Leah won't let them put her down?"

"Then you can be a stay-at-home mom." Johnny countered simply, now sitting up to look at Lulu who was standing with her hands on her hips.

"I don't think so, I'm not going to let you spoil her then sit back and have to take care of her while you are away." Lulu informed him with a hint of defensiveness in her voice.

"Calm down Lulu," Johnny was now the one laughing, "I'm not going back to the family business…so we can alternate staying home with our spoiled daughter."

"Do you really think that your father is going to let you walk away from the business just because of me and Leah?" Lulu asked him, "I would think that—if anything—he would want to keep you close just to keep you away from us."

"After what my father did to Claudia, I'm never going back." Johnny replied, grabbing her by the wrist, then the waist to sit her down next to him on the couch, "We're Zaccharas, but we won't be like those Zaccharas and nothing my father says or does will change that."

"You promise?" She questioned, looking into his eyes for answers.

Johnny finally put Leah into the bassinet, then turned back to Lulu, taking her hands into his, "I promise." He said before kissing her forehead, "We're going to make this work."

Sorry it's been FOREVER. My 21st birthday was Sunday and we had a huge birthday party on Saturday night, so I've been stressing and prepping for that, but now it's over. I'm moving back to school today, so I hope I will be having more time to write and such. Anyway, lame excuses…this chapter is short and I feel horrible that I haven't updated in so long and you're only getting this.
