Hey guys! Only a few more chapters until the complete end of TBR2! And Artemis and Holly havent even talked in this one yet! Sad? Eh, I'll make it up to you in the next one.

How the hell did Artemis' brothers get here? Was the first thing Terrence thought as he ventured out of the security booth and into the hallway of Fission Chips. The blond looked back at Artemis and raised a thin eyebrow when he saw his friend limping away.

Was he his friend? Half of him said no and couldn't believe himself. He had just helped a criminal escape, one that had lied to him for years about who he was. That side was screaming at him in his head to go find some guards and tell them that Fowl had escaped and was still in the building.

But the other half, the half that Terrence was actually listening to, believed what Artemsi had said before. After all, he had trusted him all this years and the Mastermind hadn't hurt the blond…Ever.

And that was why Terrence Keyes was looking for the infamous Irish criminal's brothers.

Artemis had told him about his brothers before all this happened. Myles, his younger clone, was just as intelligent as his older brother. He was not connected to his emotions, however, wanting to work in his laboratory than spend time with other humans.

Artemis always chuckled at this point, telling Terrence he used to be the exact same way when he was Myles' age. He explained to Terrence that it changed as Artemis grew up and acquired friends that made him see that communication with others was just as important as inventing new explosive and poisonous concoctions.

The blond wondered for a moment if one of those friends was that forbidden woman Artemis had told him about days before. It would make sense, if Artemis was telling the truth about her. It could have just been an excuse to make him feel better, or to get him off Artemis' back about his women and dating problems…Or lack thereof, to be more precise.

Terrence sighed as he peeked around one corner. He then recalled the security camera footage of the two boys wandering the halls. One was the spitting image of Artemis himself. That must have been Myles.

So, that meant the other boy had to be Beckett, the other twin. He was the more athletic of the Fowl boys, but what he weighed in brawn had definitely taken over what was suppose to be in brains. He even looked the opposite of the two, with blond hair and normal clothes.

That was the most surprising detail that Terrence noticed. Artemis always wore a suit, even though Terrence fought him everyday about his attire, and it seemed as though Myles was the same, because the video showed the young genius wearing almost exactly the same.

However, Beckett seemed to be the polar opposite of that. He wore a graphic T-Shirt with what looked like the infamous "My dog ate my Homework" excuse, but the dog part was crossed out and "An Alien" was printed above it. Besides that, the young boy wore jeans and sneakers, looking like an ordinary teenager.

Terrence remembered a story Artemis told him one of the few times he talked about his family…

"I can recall the first day the boys attended the school that I was an alumni of. It was the year they incorporated females in the system, being an all boys Academy before, and accepting a younger age demographic." Artemis leaned forward in his seat, putting his folded hands on the table in front of him and concentrating on his thoughts. "I accompanied them, my father believing it would be best for me to show my brothers around than the guides. Needless to say, my professors and Dean did not appreciate there being more than one Fowl in that school within one millennia."

Terrence smiled at that, "Well, if you treated our teachers before like you do now, I feel no sympathy for you."

Artemis chuckled, "Yes. You can imagine their faces when they found out there wasn't just one, but two joining at the same time.

"Glares and stares were not uncommon as I showed them the grounds. I ignored them, and Myles did as well, following right behind me the entire time and drinking up the history I was telling them. Beckett, however, stared right back at the people. He asked me many times why the adults were sneering at us, but there were so many stories, I decided not to get into detail."

"You'll have to tell me those next." Terrence jested.

"Beckett also got lost fairly often. I would look back one moment and he would be there, then the next, he would be 10 meters away, daydreaming.

"Then, we came upon the football field. They were practicing, as they do every day. A waste of time, if you ask me."

"Practice?" Terrence tilted his head to the side.

"No. Sports." Artemis deadpanned, entirely serious. "Still, Beckett was very interested in it. Even at the age of 6. The coach was the same as I had, one that I ridiculed almost every day because he wanted me to actually get off my business work and run. I accused him of being ignorant to my work and that if he wanted to see someone run, he should do it himself. Effectively, that-"

"Artemis, your getting off topic."

"Ah, of course. My apologies. Beckett was fascinated by this sport…Football." Artemis spat the word as though it was poisonous by just saying it. "The coach took one look at Beckett, Myles, and myself before scoffing, telling me to get off of his field. However, Beckett being the nuisance that he was—and still is—walked away again and picked up a stray ball. It took the coach ten minutes and thirty-six seconds to realize that one of his juniors in highschool was actually a six year old. And, even then, it was solely on the fact that he was shorter than the others."

Even now, Terrence couldn't hold back the smile that played on his lips. This Beckett seemed to be-

"Myles!"

Terrence jumped at the scream, his walking pace turning into a run as he rushed to the origin of it. It was a young boy's shout, only he prayed that he wasn't…

He was too late.

Guards surrounded the two boys as Beckett (Terrence immediately recognized him) stood in shock for a second. He then struggled out of one guards grip and stood next to his brother's body, his back to him. Beckett would protect him, or die trying. However, there were 4 of them and only one of him. It seemed hopeless again. And his focus was gone as all Beckett wanted to do was turn around and try to help his brother.

"Hey!" Terrence came from around the corner, his breathing rapid as his revealed himself and put his hands on his knees. "I've been searching for you idiots everywhere. Uncle Jon needs help. Artemis Fowl escaped!"

Terrence could worry about Artemis' safety later. Either way, Artemis could protect himself far better than Beckett and Myles could at the moment.

The guards paused, looked at each other. "Or assigned task was to track these two down." One insisted, nodded towards the brothers.

"And what is more important? A pair of juvenile delinquients, who trespassed into private property, or an Irish Criminal Mastermind who is life threatening to your boss?" Terrence quirked an eyebrow at them. "I can take care of these two."

The four looked at each other for a moment before nodding and dashing back down the hallway. Terrence let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding and walked over to the boys. There was a reason he didn't major or minor is Theatre.

He did, however, stop midway over to Myles and Beckett. Myles was still unconscious on the ground, and Beckett glared at Terrence. Why would he trust him? Terrence just ratted out their brother to the guards and told them he would get rid of the twins. The man held up his hands. "I'm not going to hurt you."

Beckett's eyes narrowed even more, but Terrence caught the nervous glance over to his brother. "One step closer…I dare you."

Terrence stayed where he was, his hands still raised in surrender. "I'm a friend of Artemis." He explained.

"Prove it."

The older blond sighed, "I know you were the youngest football player at your school, Beckett. Age seven. Artemis is still very proud of you for that."

Beckett tilted his head. How could he know that…Wait…The boy flashed back to Juliet and Butler's conversation in the kitchen just this afternoon. "Terrence?"

Terrence nodded, then looked over at Myles. "Are you going to attack me now, or can I help your brother?"

Beckett moved from his protective stance over Myles to quickly kneel down next to him. Terrence rushed over, checking his pulse and running his hands over his torso. "A couple of broken ribs. Inward punctures probably damaged his lungs pretty bad. He needs urgent medical care." He took the unconscious teen in his arms and stood up. "Come on. We have to go find Artemis and get Myles to a hospital."

"How long does he have?"

Terrence looked down at the teenager in his arms. His skin was unusually pale, even someone from Irish heritage. "Not long." He answered with a sigh, "Not long at all."
