Archer's Moemon Adventure
Chapter 31
"Mistress, why did you leave?" Kiki asked, confused.
"Why are you here?" Nancy asked, frowning, her face surprisingly serious.
"When did you figure out?" A voice asked, a girl walking out from behind a tree, Nancy turning to face her. The girl was rather short, and had chocolate brown hair down to her shoulders. She wore a black shirt over blue jeans, and a grey hoodie over that, so only the collar of the shirt was revealed. She had brown eyes, and a smile.
"You!" Lucifer said, emerging in front of Nancy defensively.
"Who are you?" Nancy asked, frowning. "Why are you here?"
"So, the little girl is brave." The woman said, smiling. "I am Lauren, the Outer Witch."
"What do you mean by the Outer Witch?" Nancy asked.
"Our master told us about her." Lucifer said, frowning.
"Blake did?" Nancy asked, surprised.
"Not Master Blake." Lucifer said, shaking her head. "Master Morning Star."
"So, you did retain your memories from the Locked Time." Lauren said, laughing. "Interesting."
"Master Morning Star said that the Outer Witch was a creature who was stronger than the Celestials themselves." Lucifer said, frowning.
Lucifer's trembling… Nancy thought, staring at her.
"Oh, you know…" Lauren said, shrugging. "It's a bit more complicated than that. But indeed, they are no match. Only the Celestial Princess could hope to rival me."
"So why did you come to bother me?" Nancy asked, a little frightened. "You've been following me since I came here, right?"
"Not exactly." Lauren said, walking up to Nancy. "I only let you realize I was there. I've been following you… Since before you were born…"
"Wh-what?" Nancy asked, backing up against a tree.
"Tell me, does my face seem familiar to you?" Lauren asked, smiling.
"…That witch… From home…" Nancy said.
"Luna." Lauren said, nodding. "That's right. You know her. And you know me."
"Oh, no you don't!" Lucifer said, charging at Lauren, but she passed right through her.
"Please, you didn't really think that would work, did you?" Lauren asked. She turned her attention back to Nancy. "Little Nancy Lunark… The youngest member of your family… Your father, Hughes, never told you, did he? Or perhaps he never even knew himself…"
"…Wh-what?" Nancy asked.
Lauren leaned in close and whispered something to Nancy. Nancy's eyes widened.
"Well?" Lauren asked, moving back. "What do you think?"
"I'm sorry…" Nancy said, shaking her head solemnly. She turned to Lucifer. "We need to go."
"Why?" Lucifer asked, frowning.
"Kanone Hilbert is here." Nancy said, a wide smile on her face. "And if he is, then that means that he is here as well."
Lucifer's face brightened.
"Who?" Kiki asked, Nancy and Lucifer running (well, Lucifer was flying) through the trees, Kiki and Kori following.
"The most amazing person I know." Nancy said, her face bright with excitement.
"Kanone!" Lucifer shouted, breaking through the forest and running towards him.
"Oh, it's her." Kanone said, Rin glaring at her.
"Where is he?" Lucifer demanded.
"Where is who?" Kanone asked, smiling.
"You know who." Lucifer glared.
"No need." A voice said from behind her. "Ask, and I shall be."
Lucifer's face brightened, and it was the first time Archer saw her look happy. She turned to see the man standing a few feet behind her.
He wore a black coat over a bright blue shirt and black pants, and had brown hair down to his neck and brown eyes that looked surprisingly experienced for his young age.
"Master!" Lucifer said, flying towards him and hugging him, the boy smiling.
"Hello, brother." Kanone said, smiling.
"Kanone." The boy said, nodding to him. He turned to Rin. "Rin."
Rin turned away from him, the boy sighing.
"So how long has it been now?" Kanone asked.
"Six months…" The boy said, frowning.
"Six months since what?" Archer asked.
"Who are you?" The boy asked, turning to Archer for the first time.
"Archer." Archer said, the boy's eyes widening in surprise.
"I see…" The boy said, nodding. "Then that means…"
"Blake." The boy, Blake, turned to see Nancy standing there, her face flushed.
"…Nancy." Blake said, smiling a little.
Nancy ran up and hugged him, Blake placing his hand on her back.
"I'm sorry…" Nancy said, hugging her.
"It's fine." Blake said, smiling. "It hasn't changed me that much."
"But you still remember all of it, don't you?" Kanone asked, frowning.
"That was my part of price." Blake said, frowning. "In exchange for what I was given, I was returned all the memories from the Locked Timeline."
"So are you Blake, then?" Rin asked, frowning. "Or are you Morning Star?"
"I don't even know anymore…" Blake said, shaking his head. "It's as if the two halves of me have become one…"
"Wait, what are you guys talking about?" Archer asked. "Nancy, what's going on?"
"It's a long story…" Nancy said, unsure of where to start.
"Well, let me start." Kanone said, smiling. "See, Blake and Nancy were friends as kids, but then they were separated. Blake then met another girl named Willow while on his journey, and the two hit it off, and they became rather close. Then, this guy Morning Star comes and says he going to kill Rin, my hot wife here, because she's the Child of Victory or an anomaly in time-space or something like that."
Kanone took a breath.
"So, Blake gets killed by Team Plasma, but and was supposed to be reborn as Morning Star by Aurore, but instead, Rin brings him back to life causing an error in the fabric of space and time that should have eliminated Morning Star, who was supposed to come into being after Blake was killed, and caused the Reaper Paradox due to the fact that Reaper never existed. However, none of us knew this at the time, for as long as there was the possibility that Aurore could transfer his power over to Blake, then history could still go as intended."
Kanone took another breath.
"Nancy and Blake met again, only much later, and Blake already liked Willow. Now, Ghetsis declared war on them again, only this time was betrayed by Shaw, Aurore's brother, who took the power of Reaper from Willow, Reaper, by the way, being an immortal killing monster created from Willow's despair at Blake's death. Now, Aurore realized that the only way to save the future and keep people from dying was to transfer his power over to N instead of Blake, causing the timeline in which Morning Star was born to never exist, and the universe began to implode. Then, a guy named Alaude extracted the other Willow's soul from Reaper and N then decided to take on the title Morning Star and the mask to preserve the timeline and took Shaw back in time to revive him into the Reinhart Family to solve the Reaper Paradox. So, because Blake never became Morning Star, the timeline that occurred in became locked for good and was referred to as the Locked Timeline."
Kanone took a final breath, panting.
"So, how was that?" Kanone asked, smiling.
"…What?" Archer asked, confused.
"Oh, not again…" Kanone sighed.
"Nevermind." Blake said, shaking his head. "All that matters is that Morning Star was gone… However, I made a covenant with a certain person, and because of that, all the memories of my time as Morning Star were returned to me."
"I see…" Archer said, frowning.
"I felt the endless isolation and loneliness…" Blake said, frowning. "But it helped me to grow up. I understood what needed to be done."
"And what was that?" Archer asked.
"…We'll just have to see." Blake said, frowning.
EoS: Yes we will.
Lauren: Eventually.
