Chapter 18
Coming down heavy from the night cloudy sky is rain and running through it in a hurry is jaden. After a while of running he finally slid to a halt as he came to a crossroads leading down three different paths. He looked at each road with a frustrated expression before biting the tip of his thumb with a puzzled look. His frustration quickly changed to confusion as he had no idea where he was meant to be going. Following his confusion his old dorm headmaster and his once bad now good monster spirit yubel appeared beside him. The three conversed with one another making jaden only look more confused as the dark presence he once felt vanished. Realizing that being down was easy access to get sick he turned around to walk back to the gang. Not even down the road jaden stop in his tracks and stood silent to hear the sound of whistling coming from behind him. Turning back around jaden sees no one whistling just the empty road he was previously faced with earlier but continued to hear the whistling. Cautiously jaden walked down the road in search to find who or what was making such a tone. Mid-way down the road jaden stops as he feels the dark presence he felt before but much stronger. Looking around to see nothing he quickly looked up to see a figure sitting on the roof of one of the buildings whistling a sad tone. Jaden stared at the figure with a serious and cautious as the storm passed and the clouds slowly spread out revealing some of the moons light. The figure stop it's sad tone and stood up before looking down at jaden.
"Well this sucks. Out of all the people i could have attracted in that room i got the one that sees ghost." Explained the figure in a bored expression before releasing a heavy sigh.
Jaden was going to speak up but stops as he stares at the unknown figure with shock. The light of the moon continues to shine down as the clouds spread until the moon is fully out. Bathing in the light to jaden surprise is kai with a malicious grin staring back at him.
"Kai?!" Jaden questioned with shock.
"Close but not close enough." He says as he jumps down.
Landing on his feet he shaked his black coat to get some of the rain off of him. Looking at him jaden could tell it wasn't his friend as he can tell the difference in fashion sense. Ignoring that he focused his attention to the response he was given making him stay on his guard.
"Then who are you? And why do you look like kai?!" Jaden questioned sturnly.
"That's a good question. But is that really the question you want to ask little old me?" He asked amusingly.
Jaden looked at the look alike a little confused until his eyes widen understanding what he meant by his question.
"Sora? You did something to sora and the fact you look like kai made it easy to frame him." Jaden explained starting to understand what was going on.
The boy clapped his hands indicating that jaden was right on the money. "I'm impressed. And they call you the dumb one."
Jaden revealed a smile grin hearing the compliment and understanding the plan so far. But he snap out of it to see the boy reaching behind him and pulling out a duel disk.
"But to bad for you i can't really let you go knowing such information so you'll be coming with me." He explains before his eyes flashed a light purple shade before a dark mist surround the two.
Seeing he had no way to escape jaden showed a small nervous grin as he pulled out his duel disk and shoving his deck in.
"Fine this is better than sitting around waiting. Plus if i beat you i can clear my friend name. So game on!"
"Key word is if. Allow me to let you know your lucky winning streak only resides in your timeline." He says in a hush voice with a sinister smile.
"DUEL!"

"Allow me to kick off the fun and games."
Looking over his hand hovered his fingers over them before picking a card and placing it on his disk. Appearing in front of him is a dandelion without the fluff.
"I'll start by summoning the monster lonefire blossom only to use it's effect. With this little plant i can send it to the grave and summon a different plant type monster in my deck no matter the level." He explained as his monster falls into the ground only for a new one to take its place. "I special summon my predaplant ophrys scorpio in attack mode. Atk:1200/ Def: 800 And then i use his effect. When he's either normal or special summoned i can send a monster in my hand-" He picked a card in his hand and tossed it into the grave before his deck flashed brightly. "-And special summon a friend of his from my deck. So say hello to my predaplant cordyceps who i summon in defence mode! Atk: 0 def: 0 Now i activate the spell fusion substitute. This allows me to fuse my two monsters."
A blue and orange vortex appeared above his head as his two monsters get sucked into it. After a few seconds a blinding light replaces the position of the vortex.
"Show yourself my pet! I fusion summon predaplant chimera rafflesia! Atk:2500 Def:2000" He shouts as a man eating plant appeared taking the place of his two monsters.
Jaden looked at the monster nervously as he sees a purple mist come out of it's mouth. He made a nervous gulp.
"It's a good thing i like meat." He says softly.
"Oh i see you two got something in common. So does he." He says dark before placing one of his two cards into the disk. "I'll end my turn with one facedown."
"Here goes something!" He drew his card and smile. "Sweetness! I start by summoning the hero elemental hero blazeman in attack mode! Atk: 1200 Def: 1800
Flames burst out in front of jaden as a humanoid figure jumped out wearing a red, blue, and silver costume with it's face covered by a flaming mask.
"Now normally when he is summoned i can use his effect to add a polymerization to my hand. But instead i'll use his second effect allowing me to send a hero from my deck to the grave and when i do his attribute, attack and defence becomes the same as the monster i sent." He explained as he looked through his deck and placed a card in his grave. "I send the hero shadow mist to the grave making my blazeman attack lower to 1000 and his attribute become dark."
Dark kai looked confused at the move jaden had made.
"So you summoned a weak monster only to make him weaker? I thought you was a dueling pro in your dimension. Guess the records were wrong." He says disappointed.
Jaden smiled at his opponents comment. "Now hold on. I'm not really finished with my move. You see my shadow mist has this awesome effect of when she is sent to the grave i can use her effect to add a hero from my deck and put it in my hand. And the hero i'm adding to my hand is my honest neos." He explained as he took the card that pop out his deck and added it to his hand.
The boy looked at jaden unamused.
"Is that it?" He asked bored.
"Nope. Because now i activate the spell polymerization to fuse my now dark blazeman on my field and bubbleman that resides in my hand." He explained excited.
The same blue and orange vortex appeared above jaden head as his flaming hero and water hero is merged together in the vortex. Like before a blinding light replaces the vortex and a new being appeared out of it. Taking the place of the light is a figure wearing all black with the shadows that surrounds the two whipping around it.
"Say hello to my dark hero. This is my elemental hero escuridao and i summon him in attack mode! Atk:2500 Def:2000 And with his effect he gains 100 additional attack points for each hero that rest in my grave. Currently i have my shadow mist, blazeman, and bubbleman. That makes three meaning my monster gains 300 points in attack. Atk: 2500-2800
The boy looked at the monster with the same creepy dark grin he held on his face since the beginning of their encounter. "Interesting."
"If you think that's interesting then youll love this! My hero will attack your monster! Darkness slash!" Jaden command.
The hero lunged towards the man eating plant with incredible speed. Getting close it stopped and jump up transforming it's left hand into a blade. Coming down onto the beast the boy's grin got wider.
"I active my monster special effect." He says in a dark tone.
"What?!"
"When my monster is in battle i can lower the monster he battles attack points by 1000 while he gains the attack."
"Uh-oh!"
"Uh-oh is right. Eat up my plant!"
Rafflesia released a glob of poison at the hero causing it to collapse to the ground. Atk:2800-1800/ Atk:2500-3500 A tongue comes out of the mouth of the plant and wrap around the hero before swallowing it whole.
"Talk about an appetite.
Jaden: 8000- 6300
"Well that sucks.. I end my turn with two facedowns." He finished up.
"And now the fun begins."
