Third one to Miracles and probably the last. This is how the gang convinces Ted to see Barney and finally put their stupid fight behind them. I love the scene they make up its too cute.

The group was silent as they waited. An hour soon passed and no one spoke a word. Marshall finally broke the silence.

"I'll go and ask if he's okay to see us" he suggested and the other three nodded.

He left and returned ten minutes later. "I got his room number, he's all bandaged up and can have guests for a little while" he told them.

The girls quickly stood but Ted didn't move from his bed. He pulled his blanket to cover his shoulders and turned his back on his friends. Marshall sat on the bed and gently rubbed his shoulder.

"Everyone makes mistakes Ted, it was extremely hard for me to forgive Lily for running out on me but I did and I'm glad I did" he whispered.

"I'm glad too" Lily whispered in his ear.

"But you two are soul mates" Ted argued. "I'm just the idiot Barney met in a urinal and made part of his scheme to get a woman into bed" he added.

"Which evolved into a strong, insane but very beautiful friendship" Lily responded.

Ted turned onto his back. "But I'm afraid Lil, I was so mean and cold to him in the limo that night…it's been two weeks now since I spoken to him" he answered.

"But he almost died for you Ted" Robin cut in. Lily and Marshall quickly moved out of her way. Robin sat down on Ted's bed and took his hand. "I get it Mosby, I understand why you were only mad at him but I think you also know now you were wrong and that scares you more" she told him.

Ted sighed but nodded. "I had a feeling you were feeling vulnerable that night Robin, I could sense it but I thought it'd be awkward if I tried to comfort you" he said.

"So you did know" she mused and he nodded. "I'm sorry for ignoring it" and she shook her head. "It's okay, I didn't want you to see me cry anyway" she responded.

"So you just thought Barney didn't care for you anymore?" Marshall asked and Ted shrugged.

"He broke the code Marshall. It wouldn't have bothered me so much except Barney acted like it was the bible and actually swore me to always follow it…then he breaks the code and has the nerve to joke about it in the limo…I snapped and told him we were no longer friends" Ted explained.

"Okay Ted, that is understandable" Lily piped in. "The question is how do you feel about him now? You said he got hit by a bus so my guess is after I called Barney at work he left and ran all the way here and didn't look both ways before crossing" she added.

"Sounds about right" Ted mused. "We're not going to force you to come with us Ted and we won't hate you if don't come" Marshall said and Ted smiled.

"Thanks pal…" he answered. "So you're not coming then?" Robin asked and Ted sighed again. "No, I'll come with you guys, Barney did just prove he does care about me still" he answered.

"Now that's my best friend talking" Marshall answered and Ted laughed as he pulled off the covers.

They helped him out and waited while Ted dressed before they all walked together to Barney's room.
