***Flashback***

Dean and Sam were just being dropped off at Bobby's when Sam could have sworn he saw a little girl in one of the upstairs bedroom windows, but he blinked and she was gone.

"Sorry to be dropping them such short notice, but after finding Sam so upset the last time I left them alone, I figured it would be better to drop them off with you." John said as he ushered the boys inside.

"It's not a problem John. When do you think you'll be back?" Bobby asked as he rested his hand on the youngest Winchester's shoulder.

"A few days." John looked to the boys like he wanted to say goodbye, but was afraid to and he was gone.

"Cass! Emmi! Get your butts down here I have some people for you to meet!" Bobby yelled to the girls hoping this would be a smooth introduction.

"I'm already downstairs Uncle Bobby, but Emmi's still upstairs. I don't think she wants to come down." Cass stepped out from the kitchen wearing some torn jeans, a black AC/DC shirt, and her hair in a ponytail.

Dean's breath got caught in his throat as soon as he saw her. It was weird to him, he had seen plenty of girls before, but her…it was different.

"Boys, this is Cass. Cass, this is Dean and this is Sam. They're gonna be staying with us for a few days."

"Fine, but I'm not sharing my bed with anymore people. Emmi takes up more than half already when she moves all night." Cass folded her arms across her chest.

Dean smirked at her getting amused with her attitude.

"Can I help you?" Cass almost glared at him frustrated.

Dean was caught slightly off guard that this girl had so much attitude for such a petite frame. "Nah, it's just kinda funny how easily you get upset. Now I'm starting to understand why Sammie enjoys pushing my buttons...it's kinda funny."

Cass started to step towards him, but Bobby interjected "Caaass...why don't you go upstairs and get your sister to come down here. Dinner's almost ready anyways."

Cass just spun around her heel and ran upstairs to go get her sister.

******************
"Come on downstairs. Dinner's ready." Cass was already wound up she didn't need her sister to irk her even more.

"I don't wanna go downstairs. I don't wanna meet those boys. I want Dad!"

"I know…I didn't know there were going to be some boys showing up. I don't think Uncle Bobby even really knew either. Their dad just seemed to drop them off and run out as fast as he could."

"Are they nice?"

Cass scoffed. "The younger one, yeah. He's SUPER quiet, like you are. But his brother…cute, but a smart ass."

"So he's like you?" Emmi had a devilish grin.

"Sure, but definitely not as cool as me. Now come on, let's get downstairs and eat."

********************
Dinner was quieter than usual. Sam and Emmi weren't talking hardly at all and Dean and Cass couldn't talk without every other sentence being a smart ass remark to the other.

"Well….since it's still light out, why don't you kids go outside and play for a little bit while I clean up in here and get the boys stuff situated." Bobby suggested, thinking he could HOPEFULLY get some relax time in between all of them before bed.

"I call the camaro!" Cass said as she split for the door.

"Aw! But I wanted the faster car!" Emmi said as she chased after her odler sister.

"What are they talking about Bobby? Do you let them actually drive the cars?! You never let us do that!" Dean couldn't believe it if they Bobby let some girls do something he wasn't allowed to do.

"Why don't you go OUTSIDE and find out… both of ya…"

"Come on Sammy. Let's go see what these girls are up to." Dean got up and ushered his brother out the back door to the junkyard.

**********************
When Dean and Sam arrived outside they saw Cass and Emmi each running to a couple of cars. As soon as they got in Cass started to monologue a race between them. She of course would let Emmi get ahead for a little bit, but her faster car would win by a hair.

"Well that doesn't seem very fair." Dean said as he came up to Emmi in her car.

"It's not. I hardly ever get to win, because she ALWAYS takes the Camaro!" Emmi whined. It made Dean's ears hurt a little.

"Here, scoot over. I'll show you it's not just about the car, but who's driving it. Sammy, you go ride with her sister."

"But Dean..."

"Come on Sam! I'll need a crew member if he's gonna have one!" Cass was surprised as to how open Emmi was to Dean, so she wanted to make friends with Sam just as much too.

"And here they come around the last turn. Dean and Emmi are in the lead with Cass and Sam coming right up behind them...Dean sees that Cass is about to downshift and gun it, so he swerves to the right and Cass spins into the wall trying to avoid collision and Dean and Emmi win! The crowd goes wild!" Dean looked over to Cass with the most triumphant smile.

"That's cheating!" Cass yelled across the cars.

"You have to play a little dirty to win sometimes...at least that's what my dad's told me." He winked over at her and she felt her cheeks flush. Something about his wink and smug smile.

"Kids! Time to come inside! It's getting dark!" Bobby yelled.

They all whined as they were ushered back inside.

"Stop your whining and come get yourself some ice cream, go set up in the living room to watch a movie, and takes turns getting ready for bed."

All of them shut up real fast.

"Shot gun!" Emmi yelled as she set her ice cream down to go get changed and ready for bed first.

"That's fine, ladies first...at least that's how it should be...but hurry up, we're all tired." Dean said as Emmi ran past him.

Dean caught Cass looking at him sideways.

"Can I help you?" He asked with a mocking tone and smirk to match.

"No..." Cass turned herself to watch whatever movie was on. She thought this kid was weird. Stuck up and a hard ass one minute and a complete gentleman the next. She wondered if his dad was the same way. Her dad kinda was, but more on the gentleman side.

******************
After all the kids were changed, ice cream finished, and movie over, Bobby showed the boys the room they would be using while the girls went to theirs.

Sometime in the night Cass was woken up by Emmi stating that she had a bad dream. Cass got Emmi re-situated in the bed only to hear a scream from down the hall. Cass lept out of bed and ran to the boys' room. Bobby was already there. Sam had had a bad dream as well. Dean was calming him down as Bobby told Cass to go back to bed and that everything was ok.

Cass returned to her room and began to sing a lullaby she faintly remembered her mom used to sing. She was interrupted by their door opening to find Sam with Dean behind him.

"You sing?" Sam asked as he wiped his face some more from the last of fresh tears.

"Yeah...you guys can come in here, but NO laughing at me." Cass made room for the boys to join them.

Sam situated himself on one side of Cass with Emmi on the other and Dean got situated laying across the foot of the bed. None of the others were tall enough to reach it so he was able to get comfoartable.

Cass repeated singing the lullaby and traced her fingers up and down Emmi and Sam's arms. It only took a few minutes for them to fall asleep. When she was finished with the lullaby to she looked down at the foot of the bed to see Dean looking at her with droopy eyes.

"Can I help you?" She whispered.

"You sing pretty." Was all that he replied before rolling over and going to sleep himself.

Cass felt a red flush to her cheeks and was glad he wasn't loking at her to see it. She closed her eyes and was swept off to sleep herself.

So sorry it's been about a MONTH since I last posted. Been really stuck with the story, that I'm going to re-write a couple of chapters and take it a new direction. I've also gotten swept up into a couple of other stories: Warping to Destiny, Kiddy Coral, and Book of Jane. Reviews are awesome. GOOD OR BAD. Helps us writers write :)
