Sorry about not posting- my internet was down. Enjoy . Oh, and sorry for posting Treadflower's ceremony twice.

"I will go to receive my nine lives tonight. I would also like to tell you all something. First comes our dignity and pride, then our training of young cats and third, we'll do whatever it takes to get there. We attack Shadowclan tomorrow."

Scarletfur rubbed against Flamedash but he told her to go away and said that he needed to receive his lives.

Horseflight pressed against Primrosebutterfly. She was thinking. I'm glad I'm not his mate. He cares about himself more than her.

"I made you a nest." Lakebreeze informed her. Primrosebutterfly nodded her thanks although she regretted her decision. Scarletfur will probably be more stressed with her there. Not that she had the heart to be stressed.

The nursery was dim, only the fading light shone through. Scalesplash, the newly made deputy waited for her to come in before leaving Scarletfur who was (luckily) asleep. Her belly was slightly larger but because she so thin under all that fur she looked maybe slightly overweight.

Primrosebutterfly dragged the nest to the farthest place away from Scarletfur. As far as she could from that cat who had ruined her life. A nagging feeling of worry for when she woke up hit her. Scarletfur could make the lives of her kits terrible. Like most mothers, she felt protective of her kits.

"Don't worry. I'll make sure I don't do the same to yours." Primrosebutterfly whispered into Scarletfur's ear.

The following morning Scarletfur had left. Primrosebutterfly sat up and groomed herself. Darkfur came in with a water vole. "Caught for you by Horseflight. Eat up and then you may join a patrol or hunt yourself. If you feel the need to eat while hunting you may. A queen's privilege."

"Thanks."

"Pleasure."

She walked out and since no patrol was waiting to leave she decided to stroll to the Windclan border. Lightningclaw, how she missed him. Would he be happy or resentful to know that she was with Horseflight now?

"Primrosebutterfly!" Twilightgaze said from the border. Dangerclaw and Cherrynose were with her.

"Hello!"

"Life getting any better?"

"Much. Horseflight and I have kits soon enough."

"Really? I kitted yesterday but I needed to get out of camp."

"Lovely! How many?"

"Three. A tom and two she-cats."

"The tom looks just like dangerclaw." Cherrynose added. "I'm sorry about Fernstar but Flamedash will make a good leader."

"Yes, I suppose so."

"you, know," Twilightgaze said, "when our kits are old enough, do you want to meet here?"

Dangerclaw and Cherrynose looked hesitant. "That will be fine but I think by the time mine are old enough, yours will be apprentices!"

She purred. "It was good seeing you again. And I haven't even named mine yet."

"Bye."

She sat down by the lake and swiped at the water. Fish wouldn't be there but it felt soothing. Ripple-eater. It was hard to think of Moonshine ever saying that to her.

It was Sun-high when she returned. Horseflight licked her cheek. Scarletfur was with Flamestar who was talking to Scalesplash instead. I'd almost feel sorry for her if she weren't a stuck up fox-heart!

"I assume you want a whole trout." Horseflight purred.

"Yip!"

"Fine. Shall we join Treeclaw and his kits? They're almost ready to become warriors."

"Good idea."

"Primrosebutterfly!"

"Hey, Shypaw."

The other two blinked in greeting.

"We'll be warriors before you can say mouse."

"M-"

"Would all cats listen to what I have to say." Flamestar said.

All eyes turned to him.

"We attack today! Shadowclan has punished us enough. I'll take Trouftflight, Snailpaw, Reedtail and Bluepaw. Scalesplash will take another from behind us, consisting of Treeclaw, Horseflight and Fuzzypaw.

"Shypaw squealed. She didn't like fighting in real life.

"And the other apprentices will come too, except for our newest members. Dreadclaw can help them. We leave now, when the patrols in ShadowClan will have left."

"Let's move!" Scalesplash commanded.

"Be careful." Primrosebutterfly whispered to Horseflight and Shypaw.

"Honestly, we'll be fine. See you soon."

Anxiety clawed at her belly as they left. Lakebreeze and Darkfur left too.

Scarletfur whispered the same to Flamestar but he ignored her. Scarletfur did do good thing for me: prevent Flamestar from being my mate.

Nervous to the point of needing to get out, she raced to the Windclan border. Twilightgaze wouldn't be there but it seemed comforting. She squinted and saw Blazingheart chasing a hare. He seemed to see her and came towards her.

"Are you looking for Twilightgaze?"

"Err…no but is she…doing okay?"

"She's fine. Sunnykit, Rosekit and Burnkit are quite a paw-ful already. Rosekit is named after you by the way."

"Oh…" she didn't know what to say to him. He was being so nice but he had killed her friend. "Tell her thanks."

"Will do. That Rosekit, I see where she gets her name from. She looks a bit like you. Brown tabby with blue eyes."

"Thank you, I should go now."

"Yes, you should."

He continue to stare as she pelted across the wet earth. "Hey Frolickingbutterfly! You shouldn't run like that!"

Lakebreeze called.

"You're back already?"

"I came to get some herbs. But really, I've never seen you run so fast. Are you okay?"

"Fine. You'd better get back to the battle."

"And you had better go to the nursery. Now."

Biting back a sharp retort, she went into the nursery. Scarletfur opened her eyes as she entered.

"Hello, Ripple-eater. Or is it Frolickingbutterfly now?"

Oh oh. This ain't gonna end well…
