Kise woke up startled by the sound of an unfamiliar alarm that continued to ring for a couple minutes. He grunted as he shuffled in the bed, desperately trying to get away from the noisy alarm and back into the warm covers. His hands found a warm pillow and immediately he brought the pillow close to his body and dig his head into a crevice nearby.

"Ngh…"

Another voice stirred as Kise continues to block out the noise and movement around him. A sudden thought made him freeze. There's someone else here…? He pried opened his eyes slightly, only to be blinded by the bright light that is shining through the window. Faintly, he notices from the corner of his half-opened eye that someone is reaching for the alarm, and his pillow is trying to get away from him at the exact same time. When he is finally aware of his surroundings, he released his pillow immediately and jolted up.

"W-what…"

Still a little bit disoriented, Kise's pillow, a.k.a. Haruka, felt around the shelve next to the bed for the alarm clock for a bit before snoozing the alarm. If was as if she didn't feel Kise next to her, she went straight back to sleep, curling up into a ball because the covers slid off her body when Kise sat up. Noticing she is a bit cold, Kise's gaze softened as he laid back down next to her, slowly and gently putting the covers over Haruka before he drifts back to sleep.

And they both slept through the next two alarms.

When Haruka woke up again it was already past noon. She noticed a larger hand draping over her waist and she smiled, remembering the events leading up to this. She turned her head around slowly so as to not wake up the Blonde that is still sound asleep behind her and chuckled. "Ryouta… Ryouta…" She poked his arm twice as she called his name, but he didn't even stir. Giving a soft laugh, she stealthily wriggled out of his loose hold and got out of bed to make breakfast…. Or brunch.

"I guess I'm not going to school then… Junpei must've called multiple times… Yup he did." Haruka grabbed her phone on her way to the bathroom and quickly texted Junpei saying she won't be coming to school today because she's got some 'baggage' to take care of, knowing he will probably question her tomorrow. Once she considered herself to be okay to be seen in public, she exited the bathroom and headed out to the kitchen, but only to be stopped by a strong pair of arms wrapping around her waist from behind her. Startled, she gave out a small shriek but laughed when she remembered who that was.

"Ryouta! Don't scare me like that…"

"Sorry… you disappeared when I woke up…"

"You sound like a pitiful puppy… I was just going to make us some brunch then wake you up, but now that you're up, is there anything specific that you want to eat?"

"…Omelette."

"No problem. Go wash up, it'll be ready before you know it."

"…"

"Ryouta I can't make food if you don't let me go."

"Okay…"

Haruka sighed as Kise finally retracted his arms and headed in to the bathroom.

I feel like a mom right now…

She didn't think he would be such a baby in the morning, but after laughing at his puppy dog voice, she heads to the kitchen to make omelettes. Putting on some tunes, she happily started mixing the eggs, cutting the mushrooms and bacon, and started making the actual omelette when she felt the similar back hug from Kise.

"…"

"Ryouta, you know I can't cook properly if you hug me like that right?"

"…"

"I-If you don't let go now I won't make yours!"

"Okay fine… What should I do now then?"

"D-do you want to set the table? Maybe get yourself something to drink while you're at it. There's water, milk and juice in the fridge."

As Kise walked away from the stove, Haruka sighed in relief. "Hopefully he didn't feel my crazy heartbeat… being back hugged twice by him is really not good for my health…" She muttered as she placed a palm on her beating heart as an attempt to calm it down. "Is it just me or did Ryouta become more… touchy since his break up last night?" Haruka couldn't help but to think about the change in Kise's behaviour since she saw him last night. Before she knew it, the omelettes are done, and she brought them out to the table only to find Kise looking troubled as he apologized over and over again on the phone.

"Who's that?" Haruka asked as soon as he hung up.

"It was Kasamatsu-senpai… It looks like he called a couple times but I overslept, so I called him back just now… He wants me back for afternoon practice."

"He must've yelled at you a lot…"

"No… It sounded like he heard from… Miyuki about the break up, and was surprisingly calm when he spoke with me…"

"Knowing Yukio-senpai, he might want to talk to you about it after practice, but that's something for you and him to think about later, so why don't we eat first? I don't want to say goodbye to a Ryouta who looks as gloomy as he does right now. My omelettes are already approved by Seirin so I'm sure you'll like it too." Haruka smiled, hoping to make Kise feel better.

When Kise took a big bite, he beamed as he stared wide eyed at Haruka who just sat and ate her portion quietly. "Your omelette is SO GOOD! Its even better that my sister's! And she makes the best omelettes! You HAVE to make this for me again!" Haruka smiled triumphantly after hearing that and immediately nodded. "I'll make it for you whenever you want, since you really like it. I'm sure your sister makes great food too, I mean you're always texting me about emptying your bento box completely."

The two chatted about random things over brunch and occasionally, Kise would choke on his food because Haruka made a stupid joke, and Haruka would sometimes laugh out loud because Kise said something stupid which is followed by Kise pouting or whining about being laughed at. When they both finished their food, Kise offered to do the dished and pushed Haruka over to the sofa, insisting that he needs to help around after receiving such hospitality from her. Haruka smiled gratefully at him as she watched him do the dishes while humming to a song she played when she cooked. If only it could be this peaceful every day… Is this what it would be like if Ryouta and I were dating? Haruka gasped and shook her head as she waved that horrid thought out of her mind. What am I thinking?! He JUST broke up with Miyuki and… I shouldn't fall in love with him… I promised Yukio-senpai. I shouldn't be thinking about this! Plus the whole thing with me and Ryouta started from a misunderstanding, I'm only doing him a favour- Which reminds me… We should probably end this fake dating thing soon.

"What are you thinking about Haruchi?"

"It's… nothing. Just trying to figure out what I'm going to do for the day."

"Shouldn't you go to school? Won't your captain yell at you if you don't show up for practice?"

"Probably…"

"You're playing Aominechii and Momoichii soon, you can't slack off!"

"Ryouta… I'm not the one playing against them you know…"

"Well…"

"We have a special training tomorrow, but for now I'm just going to relax and stick with collecting data. I don't do it as well as Satsuki-chan but I can definitely do something using my connections."

"Connections…?"

"A-ah I mean… yeah, I have friends that can probably help me with this…" I almost told him about Simon and Lily… he doesn't know my family background yet and I feel like he would freak out if he knew… and I don't want him to know about my feud with Akashi just yet…

"That's still pretty awesome! I mean you're such a popular person I don't doubt you have connections everywhere."

"You think I'm popular…?"

"Yeah, don't you?"

"Not really, I don't interact with people a lot, so I wouldn't know."

"That's true…"

"What's that supposed to mean…"

"I hear people talking about you all the time, you know? Like how mysterious you are and how they would 'die to talk to you' because you're such a goddess, things like that. And you don't even go to my school! I can almost imagine the same thing happening at Seirin."

"… Are you for real?"

"Yeah! You're way more popular than you think! Probably because you're like, an ice queen in everyone's eyes…"

"Ice queen… am I that cold?"

"Well… not to me you're not, but you did say so yourself, that you don't really talk to other people. That's probably why they think you're cold! Plus you don't smile that often…"

"… There's no reason for me to smile often."

"What?"

"It's nothing. Anyways, you should head back soon, Yukio-senpai will kill you if you're late again."

"That's true… Well I better get going. Walk me to the station? Please?"

"Why should I… it's on the other side of school…"

"I won't get to see you for a while… aren't you even a little bit upset?!"

"Not really."

"So mean~~~~"

"I mean, I'll see you when you play, right?"

"Y-you mean, you'll watch my games?!"

"Yeah, if Seirin isn't playing or if I don't have to scout our opponents. It is in Tokyo after all, it's not hard to travel to the stadium from here."

"Yay~ I'll play so much better if I know you'll be watching~"

"Geez. Let's go."

"Where?"

"… You idiot… we're going to the station, aren't we?"

"Yeah!"

Immediately, the topic of Toou and Aomine was dropped, and the duo switched to a lighter conversation, talking about Kise's upcoming jobs and Haruka's insane popularity within the young people right now due to their fake relationship. By the time they got to the station it's already well past 2pm. The trip usually doesn't take that long, but since Kise wasn't wearing a disguise today, they were stopped multiple times on their way for pictures and autographs, some asked Haruka to take the photo, some even asked for a photo with Kise AND her. What she didn't expect was people asking for Kise's autograph, but also a photo with just her. She could almost hear Kise telling her how popular she is again.

Haruka let out a huge breath after seeing Kise off, and right away she headed to school to not be late for practice.

(Time skip to the special training day)

Since Kagami injured his leg, he sat out on all the water training as well as the dry training. He itched to train with everyone, but since he is so predictable, Riko put Number 2 the pup as his guard to make sure he doesn't move away from the bench he's sitting on. Kagami watches as his teammates squat inside the pool with their arms above their heads, and their tired expressions sort of made him think how lucky he is to be sitting out of this training of hell.

BEEEEEEEP!

"Alright, everyone take a 1 minute break!"

"Gosh my legs are killing me!"

"Can we have 5 minutes?"

"Kuroko don't float with your face in the water!"

"Woof!"

"Geh!"

"Can I call you Taiga-chan from now on?"

"Sh-Shut up Shibasaki!"

"But why, it suits you."

"WHAT PART OF THAT SUITS ME?!"

While everyone was concentrating on their training regime, Haruka and Kagami sat on the nearby bench, one because of manager duties and the other from the injury, and they were having a very heated discussion on a new nickname for the bakagami of the team. Kagami was evidently getting more and more frustrated as there hasn't been a single suggestion that he's liked. With one final grunt, he stood up with slight difficulty and left the pool, grumbling how he needs to get a drink to cool himself down. Haruka sighed in defeat. Why is that guy so easy to tease?

"Too bad he left…"

"Haruka-chan focus!"

Riko yelled from the other side of the pool when the manager's hands stopped moving. Immediately snapping back to her duties, she started writing down more observations for every member that's currently doing squats in the pool.

"hmmm… everyone's gotten better. Some more than others, but I suppose it's still good seeing that there's an overall improvement… Oh!"

Her phone vibrated in her pockets and she excitedly check the screen. "Simon and Lily must have sent me new information… oh." Her face fell as she read the messages from her friends from home. This… isn't good… She glanced around the pool, noticing nothing's changed since the last time she looked around, and turned her head to the windows behind her to check the basketball court. Seeing that it's still empty, she breathed out in relief. Maybe they're wrong… or just being cautious. Yeah, that's probably it. Looking back to her teammates, she decided it's probably for the best if she doesn't tell them about the message.

"I'll go out and walk around just in case… Taiga-chan is still wandering after all. Definitely not good for them to meet right now. Riko-senpai!"

"Yess?"

"Taiga-chan is still out, I'm going to go bring him back and get everyone something to drink!"

"Sounds good! Thanks!"

Haruka hurriedly left the pool and started walking around the building, to try and locate their tiger and as well… to make sure of what Simon and Lily had messaged her about. (A/N: For those who might have forgotten, they were Haruka's butler/maid from when she was little. Although they still serve her, they behave more like friends.) After walking around the building twice and checking all corners, Haruka is both relieved and frustrated. Where did that stupid tiger go?

She decided to just shoot him a message and return to the pool. Upon hearing a third female voice she began to get an uneasy feeling. I didn't think Satsuki-chan would be here… does that mean HE is here too? I wonder what they're talking about…

Upon noticing Hyuuga's beat red face, she decided to step in before her friend seduces the entire team with her gorgeous looks and figure.

"Satsuki-chan."

"…! Haru-chan! You're here too!"

Haruka was greeted with the same force that Kuroko experienced not too long ago. Her face was buried within her cleavage and, as suffocating as it was, the Seirin team can't help but want to be in her position even though they are watching her gasping for fresh air.

"S-sorry Haru-chan…"

"Sigh… y-you need to remember you have BOOBS!"

"H-haru-chan… did you just… yell?!"

"woah… our manager yelled…"

"N-no way…"

Haruka was speechless. T-that's what they're concerned about? Not that I could've, you know, SUFFOCATED?!

The conversation turned away from basketball and into a full on girl talk between the three girls present. Although Haruka was curious as to what they discussed before she walked in, she decided not to ask, knowing that if it's important, Momoi or Riko would talk to her later. The thought that lingered in the back of her mind is starting to get to her, and so she took a deep breath.

"Satsuki-chan, if you are here, does that mean…"

"You're wondering about Dai-chan? He said he was going to look for a court in the area. He didn't have to be here anyways and he didn't look like he wanted to but I forced him to…" Momoi pouted as she recalled the conversation she had with her childhood friend on their way here, and how he wouldn't stop saying how annoying she is and will ditch her as soon as they arrive, which he did.

"I see…"

"Do you want to see him?"

"…Maybe a different time? I still have to stay for their training."

"Oh! Sorry for interrupting again…"

"That's okay, how about you get Tetsuya to walk you back? Is that okay, Riko-senpai?"

She turned to Riko and Kuroko who were standing on the site as they spoke. Riko gave a small nod and Kuroko disappeared to the change room (literally) to get ready.

"Haruka-chan if you want to go too, go ahead. There's not much left to do here anyways, get some rest! Sorry you had to try to find that Bakagami."

"No worries, sorry I couldn't find him."

"Don't worry, well I sure hope he didn't go and play basketball…"

A very dark aura started gathering around Seirin's coach as everyone around shuddered…

"Or else I will make sure he doesn't play for the next 2 weeks!"

"G-geh! Coach you're turning into a monster!"

(chapter end)
