Hey guys! I'm back! Again, I'm so sorry that this has taken as long as it has. I am in my senior year of high school and between my AP Classes and applying to colleges, it's hard for me to keep up with the story. But, I'm not going anywhere until this story is 100% told... it just may take a little while :) Special thanks to my beta Amanda for keeping the faith. All characters belong to Stephenie Meyer. Enjoy!

Chapter 25

BPOV

"Do I have to do this?" Edward whined as I tied his tie for him. I tightened the tie and reached up to brush his hair out of his eyes. He'd need to cut it soon; it was getting too long.

"Yes," I responded.

"Why can't we stay home and do a little more of this?" he asked, touching my hickey that was two days old.

"Because we need to meet this girl and see if Paul can introduce Riley to her," I said, pulling my hair around my neck to hide the hickey.

"And when are we going to start telling people about our little present that will be delivered soon?"

"Soon, I promise." I said, pulling him closer to me by his belt loops.

"Can we tell Riley yet?" Edward asked. I sighed and let go of him, moving across the room. I reached into a bag that I'd picked up a few days ago. I pulled out the blue polo shirt and held it up for Edward to see.

"We could give him this right now if you'd like." I said, dangling the shirt in front of Edward's face. I saw him light up like a Christmas tree as he nodded. The shirt had a picture of a little boy holding a yellow bundle and, across the bottom, it said: Soon-to-be Big Brother.

"If we give it to him now, that means that when we drop him off for Sunday dinner, everyone will know."

"And…?"

"We're telling everyone?" he asked, excited.

"We might as well do it tonight. I'm going to start gaining weight soon and then they'll find out anyway."

"I love you so much," he said and I shook my head, laughing.

"Only because you always get what you want."

"If that were the case, I wouldn't be in this suit and you most certainly wouldn't be in that dress right now."

"Slow down, babe. Let's take things one step at a time here. We're going to tell Riley, drop him off, go to dinner, and then we can think about sex later on."

"Fine," he began to whine again. "Let's just get this over with."

"Riley!" I called from our bedroom. "Can you come here, please?" Edward sat on the bed, smiling expectantly, when Riley ran in.

"I gotsta get dressed to go to Gamma and Pa Pa's," Riley complained at being interrupted from getting ready.

"We bought you a new shirt that we want you to wear today." Edward told him, still smiling. I held up his new shirt and Edward helped him read it.

"I'm gonna be a brother to Aunt Rosie's baby?" he asked. I shook my head and knelt down so that I was on his level.

"It means that Mommy's gonna have a baby, Riley." I said. His eyes widened and he looked down at my belly. "Your baby brother or sister is in here right now."

"You gotta baby just like Auntie Rose?"

"Yup. This baby is going to be all yours." Edward said. Riley slowly moved his hand towards my stomach and rested it on there.

"Hi baby baby baby." He whispered. I looked at Edward and smiled. "When do I get the baby?" Riley asked, looking to Edward.

"A few months from now we'll have the baby and me and you get to take Momma to the hospital so that the baby can be safe and sound."

"I'm gonna be a big brother?"

"Yes, you are. The baby is going to want to be just like you." Edward told him. Riley started asking tons of questions and Edward looked at me, unsure how to answer. I glanced at the clock and saw that it was almost six o'clock and we were meeting Paul and Kim at six thirty.

"Riley, we'll answer your questions later, okay bud? Right now, we have to get ready to go to Gamma and Pa Pa's,"

"Okay, Momma! I can show them my shirt and tell them about my baby,"

"Yes, you sure can."

We were at my parents' house for the longest time and we'd gotten so many hugs and congratulations. For the first time all night, I was happy when Bella and I had to leave Riley and my parents and head to dinner. I wasn't looking forward to this dinner. Mostly because Paul wasn't my favorite person in the world and also because I knew he still liked Bella a little bit too much.

"You ready?" Bella asked me. I nodded and moved my hand to rub against her leg.

"Are you going to tell Paul about our baby?" I asked.

"I'll have to at some point when I want maternity leave or when my belly starts growing."

"But not tonight, right?"

"Of course not. Tonight is about his girlfriend and his new life, not ours."

"They'll always be intertwined, you know." I muttered. She moved her hand to rest on top of mine.

"I know our life will always be connected to his in some way but that is out of our control. Back in college, I didn't know what the future held but now, we do. We know that we're going to get married and have a family and Paul will always be a part of my life in the form of my boss and Riley's father."

We pulled up to the restaurant and I got out of the car, moving around to open Bella's door for her. I offered my hand, which she took, and pulled her out of the car and into my embrace.

"I love you," I whispered against her lips. She smiled and pressed her lips against mine, softly.

"And you know that I love you."

"Let's get this over with. I'm ready for sex already."

"You're always ready for sex," she teased, untangling herself from me. "Let's go."

"Hey, Paul. How are you?" Bella asked as we approached the table and Paul stood. Bella leaned in for a hug. I noticed a girl stand at Paul's side but we ignored her for the time being as I shook Paul's hand.

"I'm great. This is Kim," he said, gesturing to the blonde girl at his side. Bella and I both shook her hand and introduced ourselves before I pulled her chair out for her and helped her to sit down. Then, I sat down myself and grabbed Bella's hand.

"It's so glad to finally meet you two. Paul has told me so much about you two." Kim said. My girl smiled and I watched as Paul's ears turned red.

"It wasn't that much," he tried to assure us. I rolled my eyes. I had no doubt that he'd talked for hours and hours about Bella. After all, he was in love with my fiancée.

"So," Bella started, getting right down to business. "What do you do for a living, Kim?"

"I am a pediatric nurse," she said. She was definitely nervous about making a good impression because she kept fidgeting all over the place.

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah, when I was a child, I was constantly in and out of the hospital and the nurses were so great to me and it made me realize that that was what I wanted to be able to do: help kids feel better."

"Why were you in and out of the hospital, if you don't mind me asking?" Bella asked, always the concerned one.

"I had cancer when I was younger—I've been cancer-free for almost twenty years now—so I was constantly in the hospital for chemotherapy."

"I'm so sorry," Bella mumbled. I wrapped my arm around her and squeezed her shoulder. I could tell she was close to tears as she bit down on her lip.

"It's totally fine," Kim said, smiling. "It helped me to find what I really wanted to do and be a stronger person. I'm glad that I had cancer to teach me as a child. I lived every day as if it was my last and I was blessed with a cancer-free life unlike some of my other friends."

Bella smiled sadly and I knew she was thinking of all of the lost souls—like her friend, Emily. When we were little, Bella and I used to go visit my father at the hospital and try to bring a little bit of joy to some people's lives. One day, my father told me and Bella that there was a little girl who needed a friend and so we went to visit her. Emily lived on the La Push reservation but had traveled to Forks Hospital so that she could get treatment from my father. Unknown to me and Bella at the time, Emily had cancer and it had spread to most of her body. My father had predicted that she only had a few more months to live. Emily and Bella became instant friends and Bella and I visited with Emily almost every day. Until one day when we went to visit and we found Em's room empty. When we asked my father where she was, he pulled us aside to let us know that Emily had passed away early in the morning. Bella and I had both cried but I had tried to stay strong for her.

"Bella? You okay?" Paul asked. I rubbed Bella's back a little bit more and I saw her paste a smile on her face and nod.

"So, Kim," I said, trying to draw attention away from my girl. "How did you and Paul meet?"

Kim began to tell the story of how she and Paul met but I didn't pay attention. My eyes were instantly on Bella as Kim and Paul gushed about each other while looking into each other's eyes. I could tell that they had fallen in love because I recognized the look as one that Bella and I had shared on many occasions.

"You okay?" I mouthed to Bella. I saw her pull her hand off the table and rest it on her belly and rubbed it a little bit. Just then, Paul looked to me, as if he'd asked a question. Before I could ask him to repeat the question, Bella stood up.

"I'm going to use the bathroom real quick."

"You okay?" I asked her, out loud this time.

"I'm just feeling a little bit sick," she said. The pieces clicked together in my mind and I nodded to her.

"Hurry back, alright?"

"Okay," she said, bending down to kiss me before she scurried off to the bathroom to empty her stomach. When Bella got back from the bathroom, faster than I'd expected, conversation returned to normal and I actually didn't mind.

When we returned home from dinner, I was exhausted. I was tired from throwing up, I was tired from my trip down memory lane, and I was tired from Edward constantly asking if I was okay.

"You sure you're okay?" Edward asked, again.

"I'm fucking fine!" I said, my voice rising. "I had a bout of morning sickness because I smelt something that didn't agree with me. I'm not dying, the baby is fine, I'm fine so let's let it go."

"Calm down, love. I'm just worried about you,"

"I know you are and I love you for that but I'll be fine. I just want to go to bed. I'm exhausted and I just want to sleep so can we go upstairs?"

"Yeah, we can go upstairs. Don't worry." I rolled my eyes and shook off Edward as he grabbed my hand to help me.

"I can walk up the stairs by myself," I snapped. He quickly let go and walked upstairs a few steps behind me. As we got ready for bed, I felt terrible. Edward wouldn't look at me and wouldn't get too close to me, not knowing what would set me off. When he got into bed, I crawled in beside him and rested my head on his chest.

"I'm sorry," I whispered. He looked down at me and kissed my forehead.

"For what?"

"For being a hormonal pregnant lady and snapping at you,"

"It's alright, Bella, just sleep."

"Okay. I love you," I reminded him.

"I love you, too, love," he responded before flicking off the lights.
