Fifteen years passed on that tiny island in the Pacific. Everyone grew older but nobody seemed to change. Gilligan was in his mid thirties by then, but he was still himself. He still had his youthful innocence; perhaps being on an island for so long kept him from ever growing up in reality.
Nobody else changed either, aside from physical aging of course. But that island was suspended in time. Everybody stayed the same. They were undamaged by the passing of time in civilization, and after the loss of the radio, they seemed to lose contact with the outside world altogether. Nothing changed on the island.
Everyone was still so young, forever young. It was Neverland on earth.
