Black as the Blood In Our Names
by TimeAndLife21
"I'm going to die." Tora shook her head as she ran through the Forest of Dean.
"'Take on Tyr', I said. 'It'll be easy,' I said. I'm an idiot!" She shouted as she heard a loud roar behind her.
"And I didn't even get a nice make out session with Corvus. I just told him I'll see you later!" She growled.
"I'm going to die single." She said as she ducked behind a tree and took a deep breath before staying silent.
She made sure to stay still as she heard something roar and burst through the bushes being the tree she was hiding in.
"Where are you, Nagareboshi? Afraid to face me?" Tyr spoke growling.
She wondered briefly how she ended up like this. Oh wait…
She was waiting in a clearing sucking up the vapors of her lotus flower joint, before she heard something behind her.
She turned slightly before smiling a little and turning to face the wizard who she wanted to meet up with.
He was tall, but his face was wrinkled with a bit of age and his hair white as snow. But his eyes were glowing golden in the moonlight. He was wearing heavy jeans, a flannel shirt, and heavy boots.
"Hello Tyr. So… I bet you are wondering why I called you here?" She said as as she walked up to the older man.
"I have a vague impression. Hunting items isn't really my packs specialty, Nagareboshi." He spoke with a gravelly voice.
"Trust me, these are not ordinary items." she muttered. "How long do you think your pack can stay here in the UK?" She asked.
"We will stay as needed. That is, if you can beat me." He smirked at her.
She was hoping he wouldn't bring that up. For Tyr, everything has a price. She just hoped she was prepared for the worst.
"At what? Cards? I can do cards." She said smartly.
Tyr shook his head with a grin.
"Shame that you are not more like your father. He would face me in a fight even if he was fearful of me." He grinned.
She grimaced. She hated being compared to her father sometimes. Her father had that Leadership and confidence that would have even the most powerful of his allies would stare at him in awe.
Tora had the same confidence, but she was more cautious about it. Of course, she has a dagger that was 98 percent nickel, but 2 percent silver. It would burn Tyr, but it wouldn't harm him to the extent of silver poisoning.
She would like to avoid fighting all together. But for A Lycanthrope (A better technical term than werewolf) Like Tyr, he is alpha of his pack. He takes his packs interests at heart and would do his best to lead them and prosper. In this case, The HWA would pay for Tyr's pack to do a search and capture, rather than Search and destroy.
"I honestly don't want to fight." Tora spoke. "But if it comes down to it, I will."
Tyr curled his lip at her.
"You know what my terms are, Nagareboshi." He said with a rather unsettling grin.
Joy. She would have to fight. She rather take a more peaceful approach to this, but what Tyr wants, he gets. And if she has to fight him for his cooperation, she doesn't have a choice in the matter. She NEEDED Tyr on her side for this. His pack just might be able to track down the Horcruxes.
"So what are your terms?" She asked as she shifted her body into a defense position.
"If you win, I will assist you in whatever HWA needs my pack to do. If you lose…you die." He smirked at her.
Oh, yeah, No pressure Tora, no pressure at all. She wondered if the Lycanthrope suddenly had a string of madness in his mind but nope. She knew that Lycanthropes work with the wolves inside of them. They have a hierarchy. Alphas take very good care of their packs. And if Tora needed the Pack to help her out, she had to go through the alpha first. She just hoped that she can count on herself to stay alive.
She didn't expect that after she agreed to the terms for him to attack her so soon after. She has seen Lycanthropes shift before, a slow and painful process. But Tyr's pack, they have taken a serum potion to help with their changing and somehow managed to make peace with the wolf inside, lets just say that Wolves the size of Horses was actually frightening.
She had run from the Giant timber grey wolf. She had barely managed to avoid the teeth quite a few times. But he was still growling and snarling calling her a coward. If she was 16 again, she would have been offended. But no, she had to take this rather seriously. She had two options. One would be that she would have to stab Tyr with her dagger that would burn Tyr, or take him on and spill blood in her animagus form.
Two options that didn't sound good to her. But She had to make one soon, Tyr would catch up to her scent and would probably murder her.
"I wish I had a better idea." She thought sighing before she decided one option.
She felt her body shrink quite a bit. Her bones changed and melted into a different setting, her hands turning into paws, her ears started to move up to the top of her head, her jaw was turning into a muzzle. Her blond hair was taking on a blue grey hue as she was shifting into her animagus form.
An Akita Inu.
Her fur had stripes on her back. A Tora-ge, her father told her. Which henceforth gave her the nickname that her dear friends and family would call her.
She bared her teeth as the horse-sized wolf found her. He let out low growls as her hackles raised.
"So you will face me, Nagareboshi…show me how you fight!" He roared charging at her.
The thing about the Japanese Witches and Wizards is that they have harnessed being able to work magic even in their animagus forms. Of course, they can't wield it in their animagus forms, but they have a different way of using it.
She concentrated her magic into her paws and also charged at Tyr. She noticed that Tyr laid his head low to headbutt her, but she was ready. She ran at a high speed before she head butted him as well. A resounding crash sounded between them and they both sprung away from each other.
She saw stars before she shook away the feeling. She charged at him while he was still standing still. She let out a growl as she jumped at him aiming for his muzzle. She latched on and Tyr let out a howl of pain. She wasn't going to be easy on the wolf. She held on for as long as she could.
Tyr shook his head many ways to get her to let go, but she was as stubborn as her father. As it was he who taught her that any muzzle of any animal was sensitive and easy to grab onto, but it takes strength to hold on.
Tyr let out a resounding howl before running in whatever direction he was going. She was still holding to his muzzle. She tasted blood as she bit down harder, but he managed to shake her off as she tumbled to the ground before taking off in a random direction. On all fours, she was fast. She ducked and jumped over and under fallen logs and trees, but that didn't seem to deter Tyr from hunting her down. She heard crashing from behind her and just as she thought she was able to get past the treeline to be safe, she was hit from the side and was flying through the air.
She managed to right herself up and landed on her paws skidding backwards as Tyr was running towards her with his maw wide open to eat her in one bite. Well that wasn't going to happen as she too ran towards him and slid underneath him to have a shot at his ribcage. She bit down hard before a paw managed to swipe her aside.
She hit the ground hard, but she got back up again with teeth bared and hackles raised. She huffed in pain as she took a glance at her side. She was bleeding quite a bit. His claws managed to catch her. But that would be the last time she would get hurt by him.
She focused her magic to her heart, lungs and muscles. This integration of magic and her body made her faster and stronger in her animagus form. She charged yet again and bared her teeth as she jumped high and aimed for the back of his neck. The giant wolf saw this and threw his head backward and smashed into her, sending her flying off and hitting the ground hard.
"Son of a bitch! That hurt!" She thought furiously as she clambered to her paws again and took off running into the forest again.
The Wolf wasn't too far behind. She could feel the lust for battle, for dominance, for blood.
She would get killed if she was not careful. She was lucky that she doesn't die easily. But she had to end this quickly. She was losing blood from that hit from his claws earlier.
She jumped onto a tree trunk and used it as a springboard to launch her into the air. She managed to twist herself in the air and somersaulted toward him. This surprised Tyr and he stopped to avoid the attack, but he was too slow. She felt a connection of her fangs hitting the top of his skull and she bit down as the momentum still carried her. She landed onto her paws not too far from his dazed form.
It caught Tyr off-guard and she took full advantage of it. She shifted back into her human form, whipped out her left hand and used a spell that would make tree roots shoot up from the earth and tangle themselves up in Tyr's legs and body, keeping him from thrashing about too much.
She was surprised that she even took him off guard, but it worked. He howled, barked, and growled at the roots of the earth and even tried biting them off but it wasn't working. She would often use this rather rare earth spell to keep her opponents from running away, but the downfall is that it uses quite bit of magic. Even so, luckily for her, Her magical core is at Sorceress level, if not close to mage levels.
She walked up to the thrashing Lycanthrope and it's golden eyes locked onto her. His teeth was bared and he was growling lowly and threateningly.
"You haven't won yet, Nagareboshi!" He growled.
She saw that blood was dripping from his forehead. She left quite a large gash on him. She was surprised that she held back so much. Using the momentum of her somersault and her open mouth to aim for the head would usually split one's head open, leaving them for dead.
"I did. You can struggle as much as you want, Tyr. But you will never be let go. The more you struggle, the tighter the roots of the earth will strangle you and possibly kill you." She said as her eyes flashed a color of bright gold before it went back to it's dark brown color.
The Giant wolf paused in its thrashing as it growled out loud. Tyr's eyes took on a glowing gold color meeting hers, and she knew that The Wolf and Tyr himself were struggling to come to a conclusion. Keep fighting against the roots and die, or submit.
Tora was standing tall, taking a rather regal stance even though she was holding her side, which was bleeding. She knew to Tyr she did something underhanded like summoning the tree roots to hold him down, but at the same time, she had to end the fight quickly.
The wolf stupid struggling and let off a low growl.
"I submit." He growled.
She narrowed her eyes at him for a moment, and waved her hand, willing the roots of the earth to unchain him from the ground.
At this, the Wolf stood tall and even though she'd won the fight, she was more injured than the wolf. He was bleeding from the muzzle and the top of his head, possibly around his ribcage too, but he would heal in the next day or so.
The Wolf finally nodded before the transformation from Beast to man happened in front of her.
For the life of her, she is very much convinced that the serum that Tyr was given helped out the transformation that is very similar to an Animagus Transformation. As he was back in his clothes after he was back in his human form.
He had the gash on his forehead that stretched from the left side of his temple and disappeared into his hair line. His nose was also bleeding, as in his wolf form she managed to really get him holding on to his muzzle.
The only thing that disappointed her was the fact that when she attacked his neck, it didn't seem like she left a mark, but it looked red.
Tyr may have been bloodied up, but She took quite a bit of damage. Her left side will be killing her for the next few days, even with magic to numb the pain.
Tyr chuckled.
"At least you put up a fight, however short it was." He grinned at her.
"Well, I don't do long drawn out fights any more…I try to finish it as soon as it started. Sorry Tyr, but time is of the essence." She grimaced in pain.
The older man shook his head and slightly rubbed the gash in his forehead.
"You've been taking tips from your old man. Not that I'm surprised." Tyr chuckled. "Although he was more into the Air and Lightning affinity."
"I dabble in different elements. It keeps me well rounded." She chuckled before turning serious.
"Now, will you accept the mission I'll be giving you?" She asked.
"Depends on what you want us to hunt down. Ive been hearing in some parts about Death Eaters escaping the Prison of Azkaban. Are they the ones we need to hunt down?" He gave a rather grim smirk, knowing that if it came down to it, the pack would kill the Death eaters.
But that wasn't what Tora needed. This mission was confidential. She only had to allude to the fact that his pack is hunting down Horcruxes. Grey knew that if people start looking up for Horcurxes other than the few who will keep their mouths shut, Riddle would possibly change the locations of the Horcruxes, if he hasn't changed them already.
"I have a small list of possible places that I need you to search for Corrupted Items of importance." She said finally. "I cannot tell you what they are, as they are items that may hold significance to bring down this Dark Lord in Britain. If you an convince the Werewolves of Britain to not join him, that would be a plus as well."
A light shined in Tyr's eyes and she noticed that he stood up taller. When it came to his 'Kin' so to speak, he feels as if he could make a difference in their lives instead of leaving them out casts of society.
"You have my attention." He spoke.
"These items are dangerous. They carry the most darkest and corrupt magics. I trust you to look into these locations and take it from there. I do not know what these items look like, but I'm pretty sure you and the rest of your pack can sense them." She explained vaguely as she took out a small piece of paper with list of possible locations on where the horcruxes are at. It was a start.
Tyr nodded as he took the paper and skimmed it.
"And are we to destroy said objects?" Tyr asked glancing at her.
"No. You send a report back on possible locations. We can't let this Dark Lord know that the HWA or Your Pack are involved. Wizarding Britain is very secretive and hush-hush on many things. So keep that in mind." Tora paused. "Just make sure you don't do anything rash. Don't let yourselves get caught in Wizarding Britain. If you do, stick to the shadows."
"Oh don't worry, we can disappear if we wanted to." Tyr chuckled.
"Sure, giant wolves in hiding." She said picturing A giant wolf hiding behind a tree.
"Is this all?" He asked.
"That should be it. I hope your Lycans are up for the challenge. I'm sorry it's not a search and destroy mission. But we can't take our chances." She said sighing.
"We'll let you know if we find anything. Now…you should get that wound looked at." He smirked at her.
"Shut up. I still beat you." She frowned.
"Ah, but I inflicted the most damage upon you. I'm still surprised that you are standing. Just like your father, too stubborn to fall with grievous injures." He chuckled.
Tora scoffed before Tyr let out a loud laugh.
At least she didn't die during the fight.
And now she would have to come up with an excuse the next time she saw Corvus.
Joy.
Harry and his friends got the letters from Hogwarts for their supplies and other such things. In the excitement of their letters, Ron and Hermione had gotten prefect badges.
At this, Harry didn't feel jealous at all. He congratulated his friends for earning the prefect badges, and in private told them that he was sorry for being a little distant from them. Hermione was ecstatic and Ron was just happy that Harry was talking with them again. But Harry took to heart that Sirius told him that true friends are hard to find. Sure Ron and Hermione have their faults, but that is what makes them human.
He had noticed that there was an extra letter pinned to see if he wanted to change classes, he would have to let the Deputy Headmistress know before the end of the week. He figured that he should change a couple of classes. Divination was out, so he wanted to get rid of that class. He figured that Runes would be an interesting class to take. But he would have to study up on Runes as he hasn't taken them his third or his fourth year. Enid helped him out with Runes during the summer, as she wanted him to recognize runes for protection and defense mostly, but he also remembered that Sirius did Runes, so he would have to teach him a bit more then the basics at least before school starts. It was only two weeks away. Although, he heard from Hermione that Professor Bathsheda Babbling was easy to get along with and she would assist Harry to get him caught up with his year. Given the fact that it is OWL year, he is up for the challenge.
There was another papering the letters about a new Defense against the Dark Arts Professor named Rex Whitestone. Turned out he needed four books for that class. The titles for said books had very interesting titles. He wondered what the books had in them that the new Professor wanted them to have.
The Books were as followed:
The Tactical Uses of Battle Magic By Robert Thymes III
Battle Potions for the Prepared by Oliver Banesworth
The Light, The Grey, and The Dark: Magical Theory and Practice by Julia Hawthorn
Defense Against the Dark Arts: Year 5 by Miranda Goshawk.
Beneath the list of books for the class, there was another list. This confused him a little. But he read the list anyways.
Required Clothing:
2 short sleeve t-shirts (No designs please)
2 long sleeve sweatshirts
2 pairs of loose gym shorts
2 pairs of sweats
1 pair of running shoes
"What's this about clothes?" Ron grimaced.
Harry looked up and saw Ron grimace. This might put a bit of a dent for Ron as he wanted a newer broom since he would be a prefect. Nothing too expensive of course, but the clothes would be a bit more trickier since the Weasley's were a bit tight on money.
Hermione furrowed her brows before her eyes lit up a little.
"Oh! I wonder if Professor Whitestone will be bringing up P.E. It sure sounds like it." She smiled.
"Pee?" Ron looked at Hermione with a weird look.
"Honestly, Ron, no…Physical education. I wonder how that works at Hogwarts…then again…we've never had P.E. At my schools, we had physical education to keep in shape and fit." Hermione spoke up.
"I hope this professor isn't going to be an idiot like Lockheart." Ginny spoke up as she came into the room.
"We can only hope." Hermione muttered.
"Well these books…I've never heard of them." Harry spoke.
"I have…well actually Bill and Charlie talk me about them a while back. Some of those books that are on the list was required for their jobs." Ginny said as she sat next to Ron.
Harry looked at the list with interest. Maybe this year wouldn't be too bad.
"But what's all this about Battle magics? Battle Potions? I don't understand." Hermione spoke up.
That was the moment Sirius and Remus came into the room. Harry looked up and saw his Godfather and former Professor greeting themselves to the group.
"What's going on here, Pup?" Sirius asked as he sat in a chair that he pulled up.
"We were just talking about the new books that we have to get for Hogwarts. But I don't understand what purpose these books have." Harry supplied the list to Sirius.
"Huh… this is new. Actually, the book by Robert Thymes III was a book that my parents made me read." Sirius said interestingly. "I'm surprised that the new Professor suggested it."
"Why is that?" Harry asked.
"It's not the kind of book that one reads for fun. Yes, there are some spells in there that are helpful, but you would learn tactics of taking out an opponent, planning a few steps ahead of your enemy, the whole package." Remus spoke. "But it's a heavy read. I have no doubt that the Professor would make you write essays and make projects on said materials."
Harry and Ron both groaned at the aspect of homework, while Hermione had a look of determination.
"Well, maybe it'll help me in the long run, in case I run into Death Eaters or Voldemort himself." Harry thought to himself.
"Whatever this professor is doing," Remus spoke up as he looked at the list, "He seems to know what he's doing."
"Well, it's a good thing too. Last year the Fake Moody may have been pretty good, but really, I hope that since it's our OWL year, the Professor will prepare us for the exams." Hermione said sighing.
"Sucks to be you." Ginny grinned at them as she was only a fourth year.
Ron threw a pillow at Ginny, which she easily caught and tossed back at his face.
Sirius laughed.
"Don't worry too much about the OWL exams. I'm sure you will all do just fine." Remus smiled gently.
"Speak for yourself, Moony! It was pure hell for me." Sirius barked.
The others just laughed at Moony's deadpanned expression, before he pushed Sirius off of the chair.
"Anyways," Sirius said as he righted himself up and took the list of books that Harry had in his hand. "from the looks of things, this guy might be a better teacher than your previous ones, sorry Moony."
Remus just shrugged.
Harry knew that this might be a different year. He just hoped that this Professor would be better than the previous ones, and hopefully not a fool or an undercover death eater.
"Battle Potions? The Light, The Grey and The Dark? Huh…either this new professor actually knows what he's doing or he from out of the country." Sirius said as he gave the list back to Harry.
"Sirius…" Remus warned.
"What's so interesting about the books, Sirius?" Hermione asked.
"Well…some of these books are books I read when I was around your age. Granted, This was before I ran away from this place…They were pretty much the curriculum for the even most staunchest Pure Blood fanatics. We were taught these at an early age." He then shrugged. "I don't know what he'll be teaching you from these books, but I would recommend at least trying to skim read through them a little."
Harry looked at Sirius for a moment, and he thought that Sirius looked a little conflicted but dismissed it as the trick of the light.
Molly then called everyone to come down for dinner. At this proclamation, the room started to empty itself out until Harry called out for Sirius to stay for a moment. So Sirius told Remus to go ahead before walking over to his godson.
"What's up, Prongslet?" He asked before ruffling Harry's hair affectionately.
Harry shook his head away from Sirius' hand with a small smile on his face.
"I was wondering, I'm planning on taking Ancient Runes, but I need to get caught up with the curriculum. Think you can help me out?" He asked shyly.
Sirius beamed at Harry and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I would love to help you, Harry! But I will warn you, we only have two weeks before school starts." Sirius took on a thinking look.
Harry interrupted his thinking process to speak.
"And there is something else that I need help with." Harry said gathering Sirius' attention.
"And what would that be? More schoolwork? I was hoping you didn't inherit Lily's work ethic." Sirius joked.
"No…It's…" Harry was looking for the words and finally spoke them.
"I want to learn Occlumency." He spoke.
Sirius didn't look surprised, rather he looked at Harry with an expression of thoughtfulness. Then he nodded.
"Makes sense. You are the last Potter Heir." Sirius nodded.
"I heard that heirs of Houses learn Occlumency." Harry left out the fact that it was Snape that gave him that tidbit of information.
Sirius nodded and stepped away from Harry.
"It's true. Me and Regulus both learned occlumency at an early age, mostly out of paranoia. But I can see the results that it works pretty well." Sirius spoke before wincing.
"Of course, Occlumency is a bit dangerous to learn. You have to understand, It's a branch of Magic that dances between light and dark. It's been a while since I actually have been practicing Occlumency. So give me a day to get the right books to go through again." Sirius spoke.
"I have a book from Enid. She told me that it could help." Harry explained.
"Ah, the mysterious Witch. I'm still wondering how she managed to find you though." Sirius said lightly.
"She wouldn't tell me." Harry said wryly.
"Well, no matter. I'll help you the best I can with Runes and Occlumency. My skills might be a bit rusty, but I think we'll do fine." Sirius said before placing an arm round his Godson. "Now let's go downstairs before Molly comes up here."
Harry laughed with Sirius as they went downstairs. He was glad that his Godfather would help him out on the way. He hoped that this kind of feeling would last.
The Next Day, the Weasley's, Hermione, and Harry were in Diagon Ally. It turned out the Weaslsy's and Hermione had already gotten some money with them long before Harry arrived at Grimmauld place, (But they didn't know that), so he needed to find out how to get away from them to get to Gringotts.
Sirius was staying at Grimmauld Place looking up books for spells, runes, and Occlumencys for Harry to practice with. After talking with Snape about Occlumency (was that even a conversation?) he hoped that Sirius would have let him. And He did. So he was partially excited to learn stuff from his Godfather.
They would be starting today after shopping for the supplies for Hogwarts.
He had managed to give his group the slip after telling them that he would be fine of going to Gringotts alone, but Molly was insistent of her going with him. Luckily, Arthur was there and told Molly that Harry can handle himself for the time being and that the group would meet up with Harry at Gringotts to get his things.
At least there was a silver lining there at least.
He entered Gringotts and went towards the nearest available goblin. The Goblin was writing something down before looking up to see Harry in front of him.
"May I help you?" The Goblin said gruffly.
"I'm Harry Potter, I would like to withdraw from my Trust Fund?" Harry said not so confidently.
The Goblin looked at Harry rather closely before Harry noticed someone behind him.
"We would also like to meet with Steelclaw if he is available at this time." A female voice spoke before Harry felt a hand on his shoulder.
He spun around in shock and saw Enid standing there with a wide smile on her face.
"Enid!" He said smiling back at her before giving her a tight hug. "What are you doing here?"
Enid gave him a smile that told him that she wasn't going to say her secrets.
"I'll tell you later. But right now, We would like to see Steelclaw." She spoke to the goblin.
"Do you have an appointment, Miss…" The goblin sneered.
"Llywd. And I do believe that our appointment is of utmost importance." She gave a closed mouth smile at the goblin.
The Goblin gave a stare at Enid and Harry before speaking in Gobblygook to another goblin.
The other goblin gave a short nod before turning to Harry and Enid to speak.
"Follow me, Mr. Potter. Miss Llywd." The goblin spoke before turning and walking away.
Harry and Enid followed.
"How did you know I was going to be here?" Harry asked as they went through the halls.
"You are forgetting, I keep an eye on you. I did tell you we had to go to Gringotts somehow to take look at you." She explained.
Harry then remembered that She was supposed to take him here before the Dementors came to Surry. For one thing, He needed to be emancipated because he had participated in the Tri-Wizard Tournament, and another thing was that something was blocking his magic.
He would have talked with Sirius about it, but he wasn't entirely sure how to explain it to him. Not that he didn't trust Sirius, but maybe he can tell him later. The goblin in front of them stopped in front of a door, and knocked on it before opening it up.
"What is it?" A voice inside called.
"You seem to have an appointment, Master Steelclaw." The goblin spoke.
"Well what are you waiting for? Let them in!" The voice called out.
The goblin stepped aside and bowed at Harry and Enid, in which Enid bowed back at the goblin, Harry bowed promptly with her before the goblin left. The two of them entered the room and saw the old Goblin taking out a few files before landing them on it's desk. He then looked up and gave a critical eye to Enid and then on to Harry.
"Miss Llywd. Mr. Potter. I have been expecting you." He said before giving Enid a look.
"May your vaults of Gold run like the blood of your enemies." Enid greeted him.
"And may your Enemies fall at your feet, Mistress Witch." the goblin replied back with a toothy grin.
Suddenly Steelclaw spoke in Gobblygook and Enid replied back in the same language.
He had no Idea what was going on except that Enid was speaking the Goblin Language. He was impressed. Enid had an annoyed look on her face after Steelclaw told her something that didn't seem pleasant before responding in a harsher tone.
Steelclaw only grunted before turning to Harry. He just stared at the Old goblin.
"Well, then…take a seat, it'll be a while." He spoke.
Enid guided Harry to a chair and she sat down next to him.
"Now, mister Potter, it has been quite some time. I was supposed to have met with you when you first came here to Gringotts, but that never happened. And due to the fact that you never responded to any letters, I assume you have a redirecting ward on your home?" Steelclaw asked.
"Letters? What for?" Harry asked.
"Letters that you should have gotten. They are statements for properties, businesses, and money. These statements are supposedly looked over by the previous goblin, Fanghorn, but he passed just last year. I took over the Potter accounts to make sure everything is in order. And surprisingly they are. But what bothers me is that you never set up an appointment with me to discuss such things." Steelclaw glared at the boy.
Harry was shocked. He didn't realized that he had to set up meetings. He was still getting used to his life as a wizard. Not only that, he didn't have much access to the wizarding world much either, given the fact that he stayed with his muggle relatives all the time.
"I…I didn't realize…" Harry stuttered.
"It's fine, Mr. Potter, Miss Llywd was the one who explained your situation to me, although be as it may, we have quite a few things to go through." The stout goblin spoke seriously.
Harry didn't have any words before nodding. He paid special attention of what the Goblin was speaking about.
"The first part of business is this," The Goblin spoke as he took out a piece of parchment and placed it on the small table in front of Harry. "This parchment will register you as Harry James Potter, Last in the Potter line, Head of the Ancient house of Potter. After the Parchment declares that you are in fact, Harry James Potter, we can discuss what is going on."
Harry looked at the document and noticed a line with an X on it.
"So I sign here?" He asked Steelclaw.
The goblin gave him a baring smile, showing teeth.
"No, Mr. Potter, You prick your finger and put a drop of blood where the X is. The rest will fill itself out automatically." Steel claw spoke.
"Here." Enid spoke up.
She had a needle with her and he took it from her…remembering some of his lessons with her, he turned to the Goblin with a suspicious look on his face.
"You swear that you won't use my blood for nefarious reasons?" He asked the Goblin.
To his surprise, the goblin let out a short laugh.
"At least you have the brains to ask. Don't worry Mr. Potter, We goblins are an Honorable race. We never use blood of witches and wizards for any reason except to use them for documents and other such papers. Should a goblin be using blood of a witch or wizard, they would be executed." Steel claw chuckled.
Harry just stared at Steelclaw with a worried look on his face before Enid placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Good of you to be asking Harry, you must always be on guard if blood is in question for legal contracts and documentations. It is illegal to use it for anything other that for that purpose. Blood magic is very controversial everywhere, though necessary in some parts, You must always know how the blood it being used. I'll teach you more about it in the near future." She assured him.
Harry nodded before pricking himself in his pinky finger before letting a drop of blood stain the parchment. After the drop fell where the X was, it suddenly glowed before his name was written out. Stating that he is Harry James Potter.
The paper was magically ripped out of his hand and into Steelclaw's clawed fingers.
He hummed and hawed here and there before giving a short nod.
"Everything seems to be in order. Now onto the next set of business." Steelclaw lifted his clawed hand and two folders went to Enid.
Enid opened up the folders and scanned them with her eyes.
"What are those?" He asked.
"Those, Mr. Potter, are properties that are in your name. As well as some percentages of a few businesses that you own as well." Steelclaw said as Enid gave a huff of incredulity.
"I knew the Potter Family had many houses in the world, but this is impressive." She said as she gave a couple of papers to Harry.
He started reading the papers and noticed that he had a lot of properties in his family's name.
Properties of House Potter
West Country, England - Godric's Hollow, Potter Cottage: Currently Unavailable.
Cornwall, England - Potter Manor: Under Reconstruction Process - Halted.
Northumberland, England - Peverell Hall: Under Stasis
Hogsmeade, Scotland - Sherringford Appartments
Duchess County, New York - Hawkridge Manor: Under Stasis
Mendocino County, California - Saint Rose Place: Under Stasis
Yakushima, Hokkaido, Japan - Thestral Vinyards: Run by Local Witches and Wizards
There were a lot more properties, but he was curious about a couple of things.
"What so the under stasis mean?" Harry asked.
"Properties that haven't been used in years, the Properties are placed under stasis. Meaning, that they are being upkeep by House elves or squib housekeepers, but no one is using them for the time being. We would freeze the Property value and keep it under the Goblins Security until you come of age, or are emancipated, to travel to said places." Steelclaw explained.
"So I own these places." He told himself.
"Indeed. Your Property in Hokkaido is being run by the Locals in which they are being paid to keep up the work there. Thestral Vineyards specialize in Breeding Thestrals as well as Elf-Made Wine." Steel claw grinned.
"What are Thestrals?" Harry turned to Enid.
"Thestrals are Horse-like creatures. They have great wings like bats, and they are skeletal in appearance. Lovely things if you ask me." Enid shrugged.
"The Apartments in Hogsmeade is currently still being run by a David Taylor and His wife Clarissa. They have been working for the Potter Family for quite some time. They keep the apartments in tip top shape. And of course, The Rent money that the residents pay go to the family vault." Steelclaw pitched in. "The first two properties are self explanatory. We do not know where the Potter Cottage is at this time so we cannot fix up the place, but the Potter Manor on the other hand, we halted it's process since James and Lily's Deaths. Until you come of Age, rather than Emancipated, we won't continue the process until you reach 17."
"Oh." Harry said shocked that he has all of these properties.
He shook himself out and looked at the Businesses that he owned a percentage in.
Percentage of Businesses and Companies owned By House Potter
Daily Prophet: 57%
Quibbler: 27%
Quality Quidditch Supplies: 17%
Slugs and Jiggers Apothecary: 10%
Flourish and Blotts: 26%
Magical Menagerie: 35%
Three Broomsticks: 5%
Hog's Head: 5%
Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop: 20%
Harry was in awe that he owned such a percentage in such places. Especially the Daily Prophet! But if he owned all these Properties and parts of Businesses, why didn't he know about them?
"This is a lot to take in." Harry said as he placed the papers down.
"Do not worry too much about it Mr. Potter. Your family is very well off. The Potters are Just as wealthy as the Blacks and Malfoys. Which is a surprise given the Fact that the Potters had funded most of the effort to fight against Voldemort in the First Wizarding war." Steelclaw commented.
"With all these properties and businesses, you have the option of selling them or increasing certain rates. But you can always leave it be for the time being as you are still young to deal with such things." Enid said smiling at him.
He only nodded. He wished he knew about the Potter Properties. He could have been living either of those places instead of with the Dursley's.
"Thanks for letting me know about these places…" Harry said as he placed the papers in the folders.
"Many of the Properties are still in good shape, or are currently under stasis. They will continue to be that way until you reach the majority." Steelclaw said before snapping his fingers and the folders were placed back onto his desk.
"Now, You have Vaults that have been checked over and I must say that I'm surprised you haven't touched your Family Vaults just yet. You only keep taking money out of the trust vaults. May I asked why?" Steelclaw asked.
"Family vaults?" He spoke while thinking of the Weasley's family little vault.
"You've never been to them yet? Strange. Given your status as the Last Potter in line, I would have thought that you would have been taken to your family vaults…" Steelclaw frowned at that prospect.
"I just thought that I only had the Trust vault." Harry replied.
"Mr. Potter, If anything, you have the right to visit your Family Vaults to see what you have laying in there. We'll have to remedy that later then." Steelclaw huffed before shuffling through a few papers.
"In your Trust Fund Vault, you would have ten thousand Galleons at your disposal. At the end of the School Year, you would have it refilled back up to Ten Thousand as would be taken from the Family Vaults per your parents wishes." Steelclaw spoke. "You have two Family Vaults and two Business vaults. The Family Vaults have been accumulating interest from Properties that have been under stasis, the Two Business Vaults have been accumulating income and interest from the percentage of businesses you own and properties that are still in use."
"The Two Potter Family Vaults have the total of Over 167 Million Galleons, and the Business Vaults have a total of 20.5 million." He looked down at Harry who had his mouth open in shock.
It was a shock. He never thought he would have such an amount of money. And he was rich like the Malfoys and the Blacks. That was actually a scary thought.
"I…I…" Harry stuttered before Enid told him to breath deep breaths.
"It's okay Harry." She soothed.
Enid spoke with Steelclaw that they can deal with the moneys later and Steelclaw looked at Harry still breathing deep breathes that its all overwhelming for him. He nodded curtly before putting the papers away and taking out another paper and a wicked looking dagger.
Then he snapped himself out of the fact that he was pretty much loaded with money and looked at the dagger curiously.
"What's this?" He asked.
"This is a Blood test, Mr. Potter. This is what the main Appointment is. Miss Llywd explained to me that you have been having a rather difficult time with certain spells and magics." He implied.
Harry nodded and explained to Steelclaw that he often felt tired when he would do spells that shouldn't been too hard on him. But he explained that he has done some difficult spells without too much trouble, like the patronus charm. The made Steelclaw turn to Enid and speaking to her in the goblin language.
She replied back shrugging. Not that Harry could understand what she was saying, she was speaking Gobbledygook after all.
Enid then turned to Harry.
"Okay, what we are going to do is that the first part of the Blood test is to check your family Tree. We will be checking both sides. Your mother's and your father's. This is to basically clear up anything that pertains to the Potter family. Meaning, that you are indeed, James and Lilly Potter's child. The second part of the Blood test is to see if you have any other titles inherited other than Lord Potter of the Ancient House of Potter. The Third part of the test if to check and see if you have any magical abilities that have been passed down from generations to generations. This also means that we can figure out what is blocking your magic." She explained to him.
"Oh…Okay." Harry said smiling a little.
He was a little excited about that. The Magical abilities. What Abilities does he have? He honestly didn't know. He eyed the dagger that Steelclaw had in his claws and took it from the Goblin. There were three sheets of Parchment in front of him that Steelclaw had laid down for him.
"Could I do the Magical Abilities first?" He asked with a hint of excitement.
Steelclaw gave him a nod.
"Whatever you desire Mr. Potter. The results will be the same." He said gruffly.
Harry cut open his left index finger and let a few drops of blood fall onto the sheet of parchment. A few seconds passed before the blood on the sheet started to glow a little before words started to appear on the Parchment.

"Well, that rules out tampering with your magical core." Steelclaw said looking down at the paper.
"Tampering? Who would want to tamper with my magic?" Harry asked.
"It's not common, but it does happen. In certain families, they would leave blocks on the child's magic until they are older. Tampering with a child's magical core is actually very dangerous. The child could end up dead because the magic is being pushed down…think of it as pushing Niagara falls through a straw if the child is trying to use it's magic. Eventually the straw is destroyed." Enid spoke.
"Luckily, that isn't the case. Most of your magic has been blocked since you were a year old. It should have been removed when you were eight or at the latest when you got your letter for Hogwarts. The Blocks should have been removed." Steelclaw spoke before speaking to Enid again.
She had an annoyed look on her face before talking back at him with the goblin language before growling at Steelclaw.
"We'll have to do that today, we can get some of the blocks off so that you can recuperate. We won't take them all off at the same time, you would be unconscious for a while if we did that." Enid said sighing.
"Okay." Harry said looking down at the paper with a bit of glee.
He was actually very excited about this. He was just glad that he wasn't really that powerless. He could have an animagus form, the Element magic sounded interesting, but the Spirit magic was a little intimidating to him, as Enid had described to him what it had entailed. Then there was the Parsal magics.
"What's this about Parsel magics? I know it has something to do with Snakes…right?" Harry looked up at Enid.
Enid had a spark in her eyes that showed great amusement.
"Ah, Parsel magics. I personally don't know much about them, but I do know someone who does use it. But she is rather secretive with such magics." Enid said chuckling.
"So there are other Parsalmouths out there? Aren't they evil witches and wizards?" Harry said worriedly.
Enid let out a laugh at that as did Steelclaw.
"Ah, Mr. Potter, Many of the Witches and wizards out there believe that there is only dark and light. But the truth of magic is…that it is neither good or evil. It is the intentions of the witch or wizards use the magic for their needs." Steelclaw explained to Harry.
"When it comes to Parsel magics, it a rarity. Only Three in 1000 witches or Wizards have that ability. And If you want to get really technical about it, Harry, It is also magically inherited or it is passed on from either parent. So that is a possibility." Enid shrugged.
"The Potter line never had any Parselmouths. Even dating it back to the days of the Founders. Not so sure about your mother's, seeing that she was a muggleborn." Steelclaw spoke before taking out another parchment. "Now, lets move on. This paper is self explanatory. This will show what Titles you may have inherited."
Harry took the parchment and cut open his finger again to let the blood drop on the parchment. The blood glowed again and it sunk into the parchment. Words came glowing out as soon as it sunk in.
Titles Passed
Lord of The Noble House of Potter
Lord of The Ancient and Honorable House of Peverell
Titles Inherited
Heir to The Ancient and Cunning House of Slytherin (By Right of Conquest and of Bloodline)
Harry stared at the three titles that he had, has been either passed on from his parents and the inheritance.
"I'm the Heir of Slytherin?" Harry said shocked.
That was impossible. There was no way that he would be Heir after the fiasco of what happened in Second year. That was impossible. Then again…it sort of explained why he has the ability of Parseltongue…but what did it mean by Conquest and of Bloodline?
"Well? What does it say Harry?" Enid asked.
"Well…I'm Lord of Two Houses. House Peverell and House Potter." Harry spoke confused.
Who were the Peverells?
"Well The Peverell Vault hasn't been used since the death of Thomas Peverell in 1776. His vaults has been frozen until a relative or descendent can claim it." Steelclaw grinned. "That would boost the economy a bit as well as getting the gold to flow in Gringotts."
"The Peverells are an Ancient Family…but they kept to themselves for the most part and marry outside of the family which is good." She paused in her wording, but Harry didn't notice. "How interesting."
"What does it mean that I inherited the titles of Heir of Slytherin by Bloodline and Conquest?" Harry asked.
"It's very interesting that you have that title by Conquest and Bloodline." Steelclaw furrowed his brows. "Either Slytherin disowned one of his three children or his descendants disowned their children along the way, or something happened to make you Heir just by Conquest alone. As far as I've known and by oral history, Salazar Slytherin's youngest daughter, Sabine Slytherin, married a Peverell. I know not the circumstances that surrounded the Marriage, I presume that it was arranged..."
Enid perked up at this and looked at Harry.
"That might make sense…" She said examining Harry a bit more closely.
"If I remember correctly, The children that Sabine had were two boys and a daughter. Now it has been centuries since that time, and blood runs thin." Steelclaw spoke.
"But doesn't that mean that I am…quite literally part of Slytherin's line? If not from my Dad's side then…" Harry came to the conclusion.
"Your mother's side." Enid spoke with surprise.
"But that can't be…my mum was a muggleborn. She never knew of magic before she went to Hogwarts." Harry reasoned.
Sirius had told him quite a few stories of Lily Potter nee Evens. A muggleborn from a family that accepted her (save for Petunia) for her abilities. So…what would that make his mother? A pureblood? Maybe?
"A New Blood…of course!" Enid said excitedly before standing up.
"Your mother must've been a New Blood." She explained the detailed of possibilities of Old Bloodlines coming back from the past and magic granted to the Muggleborn who seemed to have never had magic in their family tree. This was mostly true according to her studies, but she also mentioned that, muggleborns who are New Bloods have magical ancestry further up the line in generations past, magic itself would have granted it back into that family line. That made him think that it could be a possibility.
"But why hide it for so long?" Harry asked.
Why would magic come back to a family if it was gone for so long?
"Many old bloodlines die out eventually or they become squibs in the process by inbreeding or infertility, and yet, they come back under many different circumstances. Magic is old, Harry Potter. Older than this very earth. Who knows what Magic truly is. Even we Goblins respect the way magic works in many mysterious ways." Steelclaw gave Enid a secret glance. "But we have to prove it. If you are indeed part of Slytherin's line through your mother's side, we must have a family tree for you, or at least see where the Slytherin line changed."
"But what about the Conquest?" Harry asked.
"If anything, somewhere in the line of your mother's, if she is indeed a descendent of Slytherin, someone was disowned for being a squib or it may have been a fidelity issue. Which doesn't surprise me, Witches and Wizards of the old ages were rather freeing with themselves and slept with those who are willing." Steelclaw chuckled.
"Well, we all know what happened to those who did that." Enid deadpanned.
Harry saw the Parchment with the Family tree line on it and he noticed that his finger healed up again. He sighed before slicing it and letting the blood drip onto the parchment. First his name showed up then the blood and the parchment expanded magically quite a bit covering half the table as the family tree expanded from his name.
"Because finding a certain ancestor on a family tree can go back a few centuries, we will be taking out the payment from your family vault. It's hardly a dent in the Potter fortune." Steelclaw said flippantly.
Out of curiosity, Harry looked to his father's side as the tree grew a bit more. There were his father that was connected to a Charlus Potter and Dorea Potter (nee) Black. So he was related to the Black family in some way. Turned out that Charlus had a brother named Fleamont and his wife's name was Euphima. Sadly they were killed the same year that Charles and Dorea was killed as well. No children to speak of. The Potter family name went back a few centuries before he found the name Peverell.
Just the family name. No names of brothers or sons were by it.
"Ah, the Peverell name of that certain branch changed in the late 1590s to Potter. Hmm…I wonder why." Steelclaw wondered.
"The Peverells may have changed their names due to the sweeping trend of witch burning. It wouldn't surprise me that many Old Families would do that." Enid spoke.
"Was it common then? Changing last names I mean?" Harry asked.
"It is common for those to change names to avoid muggles later in the years and burning witches and wizards for 'black magics', but often times some family lines end when a witch is the only one born in the family. There are many cases in which that has happened. It's still common that daughters take on their spouses names. Sometimes they hyphenate them in different circumstances." Steelclaw spoke with interest.
"What of your mother's side Harry? Go on." Enid gently encouraged Harry.
Harry looked to his mother's name, Lily Winifred Evans and it went up to his grandparents. John Robert Evens and Iris Ursula Evens (nee Mason.) Unfortunately, things got a bit garbled from here on as some of the names farther up the tree didn't seem to make sense. It would seem that his Grandmother's side of the family were as muggle as they come. His Grandfather's side didn't help either.
"It's too confusing, How could I know if one side isn't magical and the other side is?" He asked.
"Take your wand, Mr. Potter, and place the tip of it on your mother's name. Send a pulse of magic through the wand and it will take off any name that the deceased doesn't have any magic in that family line." Steelclaw explained.
Harry nodded before taking out his wand and pressing it to his mothers name. After a pulse of magic, the most curious thing happened. His grandfather's side had disappeared from the paper (indicating that his side of the family was muggle) but his grandmothers side became much more uncluttered and it seemed that only females on his Mother's side of the family were magical or have magical blood.
"Well, that is a surprise…a pure line of Witches… or what should have been witches." Enid said with surprise.
Harry looked up a bit more before a name caught his eyes.
In looping lines of cursive stated: Sabine Lily Peverell (Nee Slytherin)
Then he looked to his father's side of the Tree and saw that it looped back to the Peverell line whom Sabine was married too. He felt slightly green at the notion that it came full circle to him that his Mother and Father were descendants of a Slytherin and a Peverell.
"Huh…that is way too fascinating." She chuckled. "Of course, This only means that one of the Peverell members married Sabine Slytherin."
"Isn't that strange to you? How the fact that my parents are practically distant relatives?" Harry asked before remembering the term 'Kissing Cousins'. He shivered at that.
"Mr. Potter, It is common for certain family relatives to intermarry, The Blacks were one of those Families. The Peverells, Or Potters now, married outside of the country to avoid such incesteous marriages." Steelclaw explained. "Your Mother and Father might be related by a small amount of blood, but it never would have mattered as that your mother was a 'muggle-born'. Believe me, Distant relations don't do much damage for a family."
"I have an aunt and uncle who are very distant cousins 4 times removed. When they were doing genealogy, they put the puzzle pieces together. But they already have 5 children who are very much normal in every way shape and form. Nothing bad come out of that. It's when families continuously marry within the family that's a problem." Enid shrugged.
Harry then remembered that Sirius told him that his own mother and father were first cousins. How he (and his rarely talked about brother, Regulus) never went insane from the union, they would never know. He and his brother lucked out. It still bothered Harry though.
"So, one of the members of the Peverell family, either the main branch or possibly the minor branch married Sabine Slytherin and her abilities must've been passes down from witch to witch instead of Wizard to Wizard. That would make sense…" Enid spoke as she trailed off.
"So does that mean that My father's side of the Peverell family was a main or minor Branch of the family?" Harry asked.
"The Potters have always married pureblood even if they supported muggles, half-bloods, and muggleborns. It seems likely that the Main Branch of the Peverells married purebloods to keep the line going, which ended marrying to the Potters or possibly changing their names to Potters. The Minor Branch on the other hand, would be secondary lines. The second born or third born of the family. It is likely that a third born branch member married Sabine Slytherin. Which then passes her abilities down through the female line, instead of the male line." Steelclaw sighed as his brain started to work through old family lines.
It was Steelclaw's job to investigate family lines that his clients are aware of. It seemed that Harry's family lines are very much intertwined with Slytherins and the Peverells. Very strong bloodlines and families indeed.
"So that's that. So either the main Slytherin line somehow disgraced themselves so much that Magic removed them to give to your mother's line, or you have defeated someone who is of Slytherin descent." Enid said as she tapped her chin thoughtfully.
"Voldemort!" Harry suddenly spoke.
Steelclaw growled lowly at the name and Enid looked up at Harry interestingly.
"What does the Dark Idiot have to do with this, Harry?" Enid asked.
"Vold-" Harry paused when Steelclaw growled again, "You-know-who. He's descended from Slytherin."
It took Harry a couple of seconds to piece together that he had defeated Voldemort quite a few times already. The first time when he was a baby. The second time with the Philosopher's Stone, and the Third Time battling Slytherin's snake and his diary. He may not be Hermione, be he knew that in Arithmancy, Three was very much a magical number. But then there was the fourth time that he managed to beat him with the wand battle...
"I defeated him three times…" Harry told Enid and Steelclaw of the circumstances, omitting the Chamber of Secrets and the Basilisk, for some reason he didn't want them to know about those just yet.
"Well that explains the Conquest portion of your Slytherin title. Not only from your mother's side of the family was descended from Slytherin, you have also won back Honor for that family line. Impressive." She smiled down at Harry.
"Very impressive, Mr. Potter." Steelclaw grinned. "We just might be able to open up the Slytherin Vaults as well, seeing that you now own them fair and square."
Harry just sat there with a dazed looked. Things going through his mind at hundreds of miles per hour.
"I can't have…not all of this." He said quietly looking down at the papers that is now scattered across the table. "This can't all be mine."
Harry had always lived frugally. He never thought about his family money as that his trust vault was all there was. But to know that he had more money, his money that was left to him as well as the 'Conquest' vaults, he had no idea what to do with it all. In fact, he blanked out for a good ten minutes before he heard Enid speak.
"He's in shock. Hell, I'd be in shock if I was descended from not one but TWO prestigious families in history." Enid chuckled.
"You may very well have to research the Peverell Family. They've all but disappeared in time. The Slytherin family…well, there's a challenge." Steelclaw chuckled.
"I'm up for challenges. I'll do my best to help Harry along here." she spoke softly.
That got Harry out of his little funk.
"So…what happens now? I mean..I would like to know more about my family…" Harry trailed off.
He wondered what Sirius knew about the Peverell Family? And Slytherin if possible.
"There may or may not be books of your genealogy of your families in the vaults. In those times, Family books and genealogies are first and foremost top priority in those times. Tales of family and family lines were important in those days. It was to show to those who are betrothed to other pureblood that they too are pureblood as well." Steelclaw tapped his pen a few times. "It was a common practice. I do believe there were a few other pureblood families who have done just that. The Blacks, The Potters, The Bones, and the Longbottoms to name a few, kept genealogy and other such books in family vaults or libraries to keep in touch with their roots. You'll have plenty of time to research them if you have the time. Unfortunately, you don't have much time here." Steelclaw said as he opened up a pocket watch.
"Could I take out a few books then?" Harry asked.
"I'm afraid not, Mr. Potter. Until we get you emancipated or you come of age, you can not take the books out. It's a precaution that we take very seriously here in Gringotts. The Last time an underage witch or wizard took family genealogy and certain spell books out of their vaults and used them, it's what made the laws for underage magic." Steelclaw frowned.
Harry wasn't going to ask what happened. It must've been serious enough that there had to be laws enacted.
"But you can take out certain spell books and tomes. Primarily from your mother and father. They stocked away many of their family things in their vaults." Steelclaw spoke up.
Harry figured that it would be a while before he could do such a thing. He didn't want to be gone all day from the Weasley's and have them looking for him everywhere.
"Okay… so when can we get these magic blocks off?" Harry asked changing the subject.
"We can take off three blocks off for now. You choose what you want off, and Miss Llywd, two goblins and myself can take care of it." Steelclaw smiled grimly.
"Okay."
So it was then that Harry followed the stout goblin with Enid by his side heading towards a small chamber.
Enid was filling him in on how unblocking magic works, even if she never did it herself.
"The key point here is that we have to slowly break your blocks over a course of time. We'll, meaning the Goblins here, will unblock three of the ones that you need, and crack the other blocks so that they may disappear over time. You may not notice that happening, or you might know in an instant, who knows. Just as long as you don't break them by force, you should be fine." Enid explained.
"How does Magic Blocking work?" Harry asked as they turned a corner.
"Normally, Healers who specialize in Magic Blocking will help couples with a child who shows very early stages of magic control it to a degree. Judging from the blocking percentages on your magic, you must've been born magically powerful. But that is just a theory. Most magical couples don't get their children's magic blocked if they can help it. There's been a bit of controversy on that subject. Like getting a vaccine when you were a baby and there may have been a chance that you might have autism from the vaccine. But, there haven't been repercussions for magical children if they get the blocks taken off at an age where the children can control it to a degree. Now for the muggleborns, I'm not entirely sure about them, that is a different subject all together, as that they have never had their magic blocked. " Enid shrugged.
"So what about me? You said that I should have gotten the block off when I was eight, or the very least eleven. Why is that?" He asked.
"Okay, generally, it's easier to take off the block as you hit an age that you could control your accidental magic. But each block has a signature of the Healer who put it on. Since the healer is dead, it's up to the goblins to get the block off of you without doing any damage to your core magic. You magical core is very important because it grows with you in age. Due to the blockage, you complained that your magic was cold and you felt that when you try to use it, you feel heavy and tight. That means that it's been straining your magic for quite some time. Think of it as exercising your magic, but you over work it so much that you might not know your strength once we take off the blocks." Enid spoke before tapping her lips, thinking about something. "Now, we can unblock only three magical blocks. Which ones do you want to break?" She asked him.
Harry though about it for a few minutes as they came to a chamber that was unused. Steelclaw placed his clawed hand on it and a gold stream of magic poured out from the small goblins and into the door.
"I shall go and fetch two of the Goblin Healers. You may wait inside." Steelclaw spoke before taking off.
Harry and Enid walked inside of the chamber, and he wrinkled his nose at the strong smell of incense that permeated the chamber. The chamber was dome shaped and was a bit dark with only a few candles that lit up. There were a few chairs and on the floor looked like some sort of circle with abstract designs and pictures…at least they looked like it.
"This is a ritual chamber. The goblins will be able to observe your magical core and release the magics that have been blocked." Enid spoke.
"So…how does it work?" He asked.
Enid shrugged with an unsure look on her face.
"I honestly don't know much about goblin magics. Their magic are completely different than ours. I assume that its similar to how we unblock magic." Enid spoke before going into detail. "Now, I have done unblocking with certain magics, but never something like this. With normal unblocking spells, what they do is that it allows the person to see your magical core and 'take off' the block with either a spell that acts as a 'key' or 'unwinding it' off of your magical core. Depending on how strong the block is."
"If that's the case…" Harry thought of the magics that have been blocked off.
Enid said that eventually once the first three blocks that he wanted off the other blocks will follow either quickly or slowly depending on his reactions and his control on his magic. He had always wondered if he could be an animagus.
"I would like to be an animagus." He said softly.
Enid beamed at him.
"That sounds wonderful. There's nothing better than being part of the magical world if you can explore it as an Animagus." She smiled at him.
"Do you have an animagus form?" Harry asked.
"I do. But I'm not going to tell you." She smirked at him. "I'll give you a hint, it's a kind of bird." She winked at him.
"So you can fly?" Harry grinned at her.
He wondered what it would be like to fly without a broom. He had always like flying ever since first year. The feeling of the wind through his hair, the feeling of falling but knowing to pull up to not crash, and the feeling of joyfulness in his body…it sounded like a dream.
"Oh, yes. But I'm not telling you what kind. I will say this, nothing is better than flying through the clouds." She smiled at him.
He nodded.
"So that's one…how about Parsel magics?" He asked.
He was very curious about that. Seeing that his mother was a descendent from Slytherin he wondered about how that would affect him.
"Well what do you think?" She asked him.
"I would like to know how it works. I mean, it's not just taking with snakes right?" He asked.
"Exactly. I have a friend who is a Parselmouth, and she knows many dialects and magics from such an ability. But Parselmagics are a bit tricky if you don't know much about them. I'll contact my friend and I have her send a book of parsal spells to you. You might be surprised of what you can find in there. So that's two…what about the last one?" She asked.
"What are Element magics?" He asked.
This particular block was interesting. He wondered what Element magics entailed and why is was important to him.
Enid chuckled and rubbed the back of her neck.
"Element Magics are a bit more powerful than some magics. And often the most difficult in magics to control. There are many types and subtypes of Element magics, main ones such as: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. The subtypes would be: Ice, Shadows, Lightning, Metal, and the like. There are very few witches and wizards that can do Element magics without much of a problem. It is also similar to Alchemy Magics which is part of the Element Magic Branch." Enid explained.
"Alchemy?" Harry said interested.
He was suddenly thrown back to his first year when he remembered reading up a bit on Nicolas Flamal, who is one of the very few alchemists in the world.
"I could do Alchemy?" Harry asked.
Enid chuckled.
"If you have the ambition for it, yes, but you have to keep in mind that Elemental Magics are different than Alchemy Magics. With Alchemy Magics, you combine different Elements. It's not that simple. I have a friend who does it and she very rarely does Alchemy Magics." Enid turned to him and lifted up a hand.
She narrowed her eyes before letting out a breath and the air shimmered where her hand was. Then he saw it.
White light formed a circle with two more smaller circles inside each other. Strange looking letters (runes probably), were turning and twisting in mid-air. Harry was captivated by it.
"This… is an…alchemic circle. I can only hold it…. for a little bit before… I have to let it dissapear." She struggled to speak and allowed the floating symbols disappear.
She let out a a few heavy breaths.
"My friend could make bigger ones and apply it to any surface and even into mid air. She incorporates it and also uses it as transportation." She spoke as she shook her hand.
"How hard is it?" Harry asked.
"Very Hard. You have to have 8 years of schooling in a special Alchemy school. Less if you show an aptitude for it. I know the rudimentary basics and I know how to make a few in a hurry, but only in emergencies. My Magical Core isn't large enough to do the bigger and greater magics." She shrugged.
"Does it matter how large your magical core is to do magic?" He asked curiously.
"It depends on the witch or wizard. Sometimes one is born with a large magical core, other have to exercise their magical cores to expand it, some just don't have enough magic to even do the more basic spells." She shrugged.
That was something that he would have to ask Sirius before he would leave for school.
"So…Elemental magics?" He asked.
"Elemental Magics is a bit tricky to work with. You have to know what element you have before you start working with it. Unfortunately, You have the one of harder elements to control. Fire is unpredictable, wild, and dangerous and will consume you if you let it. I'm not a Fire Elemental, so I can't really help you there. You might have to look in some books and take some tips from there. My friend who does Parsal Magics is also a Fire Elemental. So I'll send notice to assist you through letters and such." Enid informed him.
This was all so surreal to Harry, yet, he was glad that he had Enid to help him with so many different kinds of magics. She was like Hermione in a way, but not as bossy, not that Harry thought Hermione was bossy, but more…mellow and understanding about helping him.
"I would like that." He smiled.
"Good, I'll inform her. She'll give you a name when she contacts you. And I'll help you through a few things if you need it." She smiled.
At this, Steelclaw came back with two Goblins trailing behind him.
"Mister Potter," Steelclaw spoke plainly before pointing to the two other goblins that came in." This is Healer Triksaw and Healer Grekrow. They will be removing the three blocks that you have and cracking slightly the others."
Harry bowed to them as Enid had done so and they bowed stiffly back.
Triksaw stepped up. He looked like an elderly goblin, with dark yellow sharp teeth, and white hair that surrounded his head and chin. His beady black eyes were looking critically at Harry.
"So this is Mister Potter then? Well then, strip yourself from that shirt and pants of yours. You may leave your undergarments on for your privacy, but the rest must come off." The goblins voice was like gravel and it was very rough on his ears. But he didn't say anything about it.
He turned to Enid and she nodded before she took a seat on one of the chairs provided.
Harry did as the goblin said and stood there awkwardly in his red boxers. The other goblin, Grekrow was observing his body.
"You are too skinny." The goblin spoke. It's voice was a bit lighter than Triksaw's but just as gruff, but it looked a little bit younger.
"I don't eat much." He replied.
"You need to eat more to replenish your energy. Focus on more proteins like beef, chicken, and pork. Eat a balanced meal with vegetables and fruits. Once your body has replenished itself, it will assist your magic much more easier than previously." Grekrow spoke automatically.
"There are scars on your back, Mr. Potter." Triksaw spoke again.
Harry hoped that they didn't notice.
"We can heal those along the way." Grekrow spoke. "Now step into the circle, Mr. Potter and we can start."
Harry hesitantly stepped into the alchemic circle, now that he noticed that it was one of those that Enid described.
"Lay down on your back." Triksaw ordered.
Harry did so and noticed that Steelclaw had taken a seat by Enid. Her face was like stone. Emotionless. That slightly creeped him out as she observed what was going on.
The Two healer goblins brought out bowls of some thing sweet and sour smelling. He didn't ask what they were. They used rough brushes and dipped then into the concoction. he saw that the colors the brush was dripping with was red. He hoped that it wasn't blood.
He closed his eyes as the two goblins were paining something on him. He wondered what they were drawing on him. Symbols? Runes? He opened his eyes and looked down. Symbols and swirls were al over his chest, arms and legs. But there was a concentrated symbol in the middle of his torso. He was a bit confused until Grekrow came at him with a brush and pained symbols on his face as well. That was a bit uncomfortable.
"What abilities did you want unblocked?" Triksaw asked.
"Parsal Magics, Animagus, and Elemental." Enid spoke up.
"Humph. Strange choice of magics, but we can make do." Grekrow spoke.
"You may fall asleep Mr. Potter, if you do, this is normal. We should be done within the hour or so." Triksaw said before he started to chant in the goblin language.
Harry was about to say something, but the harsh yet low chanting was making him tired. he faintly noticed that light was glowing warmly around him.
It felt nice he thought before he slid into darkness.
Zoe saw Harry's eyes closing and she noticed that he fell asleep. Good. He had to be asleep for this portion of the ritual. Getting rid of blocks and cracking blocks is a bit painful if you were still awake. Good thing she never told Harry this.
"I though he would never get to sleep." Zoe said truthfully.
"Good this will make it easier for us to talk privately. Triksaw and Grekrow will be too focused on the magic blocks to pay attention to us." Steelclaw spoke to the glamoured witch.
"Is there a will that was left behind for Harry from his parents?" She asked him.
She never brought it up due to the fact that there may not have been a will in the first place. She knew that from what Steelclaw had gathered, James Potter was a bit reckless with his money and he had trusted the wrong man to have as a secret keeper. A good man according to some sources, but reckless. Someone like Lily Potter managed to keep him under control…enough.
"If there is, I haven't looked in the proper channels yet. There is a lot of paperwork we have to go through. If I find a will, I'll send notice." Steelclaw spoke as Grekrow placed a hand on Harry Potters chest and lifting it up slowly.
Zoe nodded as she leaned forward to see the process of unblocking magic in it's raw form.
The magical lights and ribbons that surrounded the two healer goblins and Harry was enchanting to her. Grekrow finally lifted a grey, green, red, and purple, pulsing, writhing ball of magic that was Harry's magic from him, lifting it slowly from his chest.
She could see the little magic chains that was attached to his body from the magic core. But this was also a very very private thing to see goblins treating Harry's magic with respect. To see one's magical core was very private. She would let him know about that.
In her experience, she had only seen one's magical core before. It was Ellie's after she was given a reprieve from the HWA and to be given a clean slate after all that was said a done for her crimes and her tragedies.
She also noticed a few bits of black in his magic as well.
"So we were right, the blocks have been untouched since he was a child." Steelclaw murmured.
"They will take off the appropriate ones that Harry wants, right?" She asked him.
Steelclaw huffed in annoyance.
"Do not take us for fools, Grey, Grekrow and Triksaw know what they are doing. This isn't the first time they've done this." Steelclaw pointed out.
"Just checking. Sorry, You Goblins are a secretive race." She chuckled.
"There's a reason." He huffed. "Now, What are you going to tell Whitestone?"
"Everything so far. Everything is being taken care of. It's a shame that we can't get him emancipated today." She frowned.
"Too suspicious. If he stays any longer someone's going to notice. His family lines are interesting. Lily Potter Evens a descendant of Slytherin. The indignity." Steelclaw chuckled.
"I just find it fascinating that he inherited his mother's abilities. On the Potter side, he inherited quite a few from that side too." Zoe said as Triksaw lifted a clawed finger to a point in Harry's core and pushed at it.
She heard quite clearly a crack that echoed throughout the room and it made her jump.
"That's one block." Grekrow spoke.
"Two more to go." Triksaw catted back.
"Geez…" Zoe spoke as she held a hand to her heart.
"This happens when a block is left alone for so long." Steelclaw said observing the procedure.
"It's nice to know that Harry will be able to do magic much easier." Zoe commented.
"It'll be another 45 minute to get the other two, and it'll take another half hour to loosen the other abilities so that the blocks will disappear over time." Steelclaw said as he looked at Harry's Magical core.
"He told me that when he used his magic, it was cold and heavy." She spoke up.
"That is common with some blocks. Unless they have an Elemental affinity, they shouldn't feel cold. Since Mr. Potter's is a fire affinity, it's a wonder that he wasn't burned out so to speak." Steelclaw said annoyed.
"Well it's a good thing we caught it then. Who knows what would have happened later." Zoe sighed.
"You will be taking him to his vaults after wards?" Steelclaw asked.
"Yes. We're going to pick up a few things for him. If it is allowed." She asked.
"As Long as it isn't the Tomes and Other ancient spell books from the vaults, that is fine." Steelclaw reasoned.
"Perfectly acceptable." Zoe agreed.
Now they just have to wait till the Healer Goblins are finished. She just hoped that the Group Harry was with won't mind his disappearance being for much longer.
TAL21: Just so you guys know, I know that there is also a lot of speculation that the Potter Family was related to Godric Gryffindor, but from the looks of things, he never married nor had he have any decedents. JK Rowling debunked this theory, because people thought that Lily or James were Descendants, and to be honest, I never really believed that theory. Although, I can definitely believe Lily being a Descendent of a Peverell/Slytherin union (Mostly because JK said that Tom Riddle and Harry are actually also relative through the Peverell Line as is the Slytherin line as well). And If you think about it, James is also Descended from the Peverell family( as proved by Rowling). And also, you have to keep in mind, in the books it is repeatedly said that if you trace the family lines back far enough, everybody is related. Sirius says so in the Order of the Pheonix. You must also keep in mind that in the middle ages (in JK Rowling's World), Wizarding Communities are still secret enough that very few muggles knew about them. So it was common to marry within the communities to keep the magic lines still flowing. I hope i cleared up any sort of confusion that may have driven you mad. Trust me, I had to go over a few things to make sure that the family tress wasn't very confusing. I had to write and re-write the dialogue a few times. Keep in mind, Goblins know a bit more about Wizarding families lines than some Witches or Wizards, because they are clients for them. Zoe knows because she studies genealogies and of course researching family lines in her spare time, mostly because her family line has been squibs for a very long amount of time. So It is a bit of a surprise to her that Harry is a descendant of Slytherin through his daughters line. I hope that clears up things abit. and I also included Fleamount and Euphima into this chapter mostly as a nod to the new cannon that Rowling put in her HP Universe, as Fleamount would be the Brother to Charlus Potter.. I never liked it, but if people can pull off that part of canon in their stories, go for it. Myself on the other hand? I've always liked Charlus Potter and Dorea Black. That is just my preference, and i have had them in this story for quite some time, so they are stuck in this story.
The Ritual was something I made up completely, taking some elements of such from different cultures and such as well as a mixture of Wild Magics that the goblins use. As for the Alchemy thing that Zoe did, I lightly based it off of certain shows and movies that use alchemy. FullMetal Alchemist is one of those but i embellished quite a bit. You'll be seeing a lot more of such things in the future. And Before you ask, I'm talking about Tora who can use Achemy Magics. But also as I have spoken earlier, She does't like using magic so much because it would drain her a lot even though she is at a Sorceress level in magic. If I were to put the three girls of into tiers, Ellie would be at the top, Tora at the middle close to Ellie, and Zoe at the low. But Tora is a General of HWA not because she isn't the most powerful, she knows how to work with her soldiers and knows where to put them. Craven is her boss, but she is the General and she is in charge of both Zoe and Ellie. They are powerful in their own ways. You'll see more of them in the future. :)
Also, sorry for not getting the Diagon Ally segment up in this chapter. I wanted to get a few things out of the way as my Birthday is on March Third (and I usually post new chapters on my birthdays) but because I work that day, I put it up today because I care. And for my Birthday wishes is Fan Art, Detailed Opinions and reviews, and just overall enjoying my story for how it is being played out. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, but the next part of this chapter will have the Diagon Ally Segment with Hermione, Draco, Ron, the Twins, and Cassiopeia Black. It's be an Interesting meeting that is for sure, but where do the Twins fit in? You'll find out in the next chapter. :) Wish me a happy Birthday and I hope to get a new chapter up and running soon! I'll see you guys in the next chapter! Please leave DETAILED REVIEWS AND OPINIONS PLEASE! On to the Shout Outs!:
Miss Corrine: I'm so glad that you have been enjoying this story! I would say that i've been pretty stuck in the Fantasy Genre of fanfiction as it is one of my favorites. I'm so glad that you like it. And Yes, the Bellatrix scene is slightly off, but it was meant to be that way. Unbalanced if you will even if I cringe at it. Maybe eventually I'll do a re write of the chapter in the future but now, I just want to write a story that everyone will enjoy. :) As for the sword that Regulus now owns, Excalibur is known as a white steel sword. XD The sword Regulus has is black metal. BUT! You are slightly ont he right track. it is an ancient sword, but you have to figure out what it is and who it belonged to. XD Please keep reviewing! I love seeing detailed reviews!
Guest: Hermione will use the book she got eventually. But it won't be while she's around a lot of people. As for Harry, let him get through his angst a bit and then he'll see that he needs a bit of help. Don't worry, he'll realize it much sooner rather than later. He just needs to be a bit patient. Sirius will be helping him in that area. As for Dumbledore knowing about the wards, he knows aboutt he two wards, but the other wards didn't register on his radar so to speak. Seeing that the blood wards were deteriorating, he never noticed it. And I'm glad you liked Kreacher in the previous chapter. he was fun to write with Regulus. XD
KazetoAme: As Fleamount and Euphima was new to the Harry Potter Universe after I started writing this story, I couldn't put them in here after the fact. I would have to re-write the entire story if it came down to it. But I did put them in this chapter just as a nod. I hope you liked this chapter. :)
hwyla: Aunt Cassiopiea's tea party and such will come into play soon. And Trust me, As a Black, she will turn the tables and pretty much kick as with witty banter and wordplay with other pureblooded woman. XD She is pretty awesome. As for the wards for Hogwarts, you will be surprised on whose blood has been used. XD British Legendary creatures will be in this story. Grims for example. They will be in this story and trust me when i say that they can be difficult to work with. XD
SeriouslySiriusPadfoot: Hermione's ethnicity was never stated in the books. But i really don't care. I saw her as white with brown bushy hair. That was me, anyone else that sees her differently, good for you. I don't care. And you are correct. So many plotholes and f she has too many she will ruin her Harry potter world. Also, I always saw Remus as straight. But that was just me. Plus, He and Tonks made a rather cute couple. :) And yes, Romance, Drama, and humor is ready to come, and Umbridge. The Ridicule of Umbridge will be fun to write. XD
Younhaaaaa: I'm glad that you are enjoying this story so far, I've had people tell me that I have very well-written Ocs. And I'm happy that they are well written. :) I hope you continue to read the story! :D
Alaiana Potter: I'm glad you enjoy the OCs. Trust me, more information on them will come out soon! Trust me when I say that you will enjoy them alot. XD And Your shipping Goggles are not wrong. Dramionie is happening in this story even though Reg/Zoe and Sirius/Tora will be a bit of a focus. You will probably see hints of them as the story goes on, but they will happen. XD And Yes, Sirius is using Corvus as his cover. Seriously Sirius, couldn't you have picked a different star? XD And he won't be revealing his identity to Tora anytime soon. You'll see. XD as for the mark on the right arm, small differences like that tend not to matter to me in all honestly. If the mark is supposed to be on the other side, I apologize. XD I hope to hear more from you! XD
Question Time!: What do you think of Harry's Ancestry? And What do you think about the certain things that he found out about his family?
KEEP ON READING AND WRITING!
PS: Please wish me a Happy Birthday by leaving awesome reviews and maybe fan-art of this story? LOVE YOU GUYS!
