Let's go part 2! -_-" you're probably gonna be really mad...or happy...but... I've been contemplating... What if I end the series how I began it? With a three-parter? Don't worry, I won't end it this way if you guys want more... (I'm just gonna post a complete remake of both the Spy Who Slimed Me and Invasion of the Pointy Heads after the final part of this three parter) But this three-parter does have the ending I wanted...and it's a lot less confusing than the first one I had XD
Cherry Pink Queen Remembers the Ghost Who Stole Pacmas
Four ghost advisors returned to the castle, only to find their ghostly princess so pale she was almost white. Butt-ler by her side, held her small slimy hands while she slept. "Oh young mistress, what has this cruel world come to?" He turned when he heard the Ghost Gang enter the room. "You four, have you brought a cure for m'lady?"
Pinky sadly shook her head. "No, but we must get the princess out of here as quickly as possible... We promise she'll feel a lot better afterwards."
"You'd better be quick about it, Lord Betrayus will not be happy to know there are two Winky's around." Butt-ler warned as he got the princess out of her bed.
"Wait, how'd you know?" Inky asked as he took the ghoul in his arms.
"Princess Winky explained everything to me."
"E-everything?!" The four panicked.
"Yes, about how my pompous brother accidentally shot her with his useless duplicating invention. Then how mysterious books would appear out of no where for her... I knew this would happen someday, which is why I question the princess about the whereabouts of her mother... Only she knew about the one item that could help Winky defeat her powerful copy." Butt-ler explained.
"The Crown." Inky answered.
"How do you know about that item? It is a secret heirloom kept in the Royal Ghost Family." Butt-ler narrowed his eyes towards the blue specter.
"It was one of the articles in Winky's books... We need to find the temple where the Crown could be, do you have any ideas?" Inky countered.
Butt-ler shook his head. "The only ghost who knew about the heirloom was Madame Aria herself...and she is no longer with us... Betrayus has not told the princess what has happened, and it would be best if you had not passed the word on. Now quickly, remove her from castle grounds and begin the search!"
The four nodded and glided out of the bedroom, just as Betrayus flew by giddily. "I didn't know my little girl had it in her! She's a wonderful leader with my ghost army! The entire city is slimed and roasting and still no Pac-pest!" Betrayus sniffled and wiped away a tear. "A father could not be more proud."
"And a great father you are sir..." Butt-ler commented as he pretended to be cleaning up Winky's room.
"Well, duh. I already knew that since Winky was in diapers!" Betrayus stuck out his tongue and floated on.
"Yet, you can't tell the difference between which one is real and which one is fake." Butt-ler tutted and continued cleaning.
Winky coughed as she woke up. Darkness surrounded her, making her feel fairly afraid. "Uh...hello?"
"The words..." Was all she heard before the area lit up from spectrum lights.
Blinking sleep out of her eyes, Winky found her friends before her, gazing curiously.
"Hey there pal, nice to see you looking purple again... But we need to hurry!" Blinky urged.
"Yeah, have you seen Pac-World in the last hour?" Pinky added. "Not to Mention, Mean Winky is getting stronger by the second! We just saw her use ice powers!"
"What?!" Winky yelped, immediately shooting up. "No fair! I haven't even learned that yet!"
"Yeah, well you won't get a chance to if we don't start reading these books." Inky struggled to carry all of the books Winky gathered up, including the ones that were thrown at her.
"That's a serious side of you I never see..." Winky commented.
"Well, Inky's right, girlfriend." Pinky doubled back on her phrase. "That's something I never thought I'd hear myself say... Anyway, we need to get some kinda Crown if we're gonna stop your evil twin."
"But I don't even know where it is! Let alone where to look!" Winky began to hyperventilate as she felt the pressure falling onto her again.
"Calm down, pal, we don't want you getting yourself worked up!" Blinky held up his hands, trying to calm her.
"Remember, Winky, we're here for you. So you're not alone." Clyde hummed.
Winky nodded and looked down at the ground in thought. "You're right... You are here for me... Suddenly I'm thinking this isn't something I have to do alone..."
"Uh, duh." Pinky rolled her eyes.
"No, I mean, the whole time when I was reading through my books, I thought it was just my journey... But with you guys having my back, it is something that has to be done together! We're tied to this destiny thing, or something!" Winky smiled brightly and grabbed the top book from Inky's arms. "Here! There are clues to where the Crown can be found: 'A sovereign's jewel is their Crown, but mostly it is their home. To find the power that you seek, you must say words of a melodious speech. Lastly, after a hard day, you will find that your purpose has led the way'."
The four ghosts gaped at the princess, each expression more dumbfounded than the last. "What?" Inky asked first.
"I guess not..." Winky giggled, turning slightly pink from embarassment. Her red counterpart floated next to her, reading the text over the ghoul's shoulder. "Wait a minute...why can I read something here?"
"What?! You can see words? No fair!" Pinky crowded over to the two. Inky and Clyde shrugged and joined the trio as well.
"Yeah, I can see them too... But it's only five lousy words!" Inky sighed. "They don't even make sense! What does 'Rebels and Cherry Pink Lemonade' even mean?!"
Clyde rubbed his tummy happily. "It's sounds delicious..."
"What does 'The Ghost Who Stole Pacmas' have to do with anything? Isn't that a little kids story?" Pinky pondered.
"I see 'I Remember You'." Blinky murmured.
"Uh...does 'Queen of the Slimer's' mean anything important?" Clyde asked Winky.
The purple ghoul facepalmed in frustration. "Those words don't mean anything!" She sighed and tried to calm down. "Alright guys brainstorm...what do those phrases have in common?"
"Nothing!" Inky offered happily.
"Nice try, Inky, but they have to have some importance if the book shows it to you..." Winky sighed.
"They all are chapters that take place in the NetherWorld!" Clyde offered.
Pinky giggled. "Clyde, all of the chapters are featured down here in the NetherWorld... It's kinda what this story is about..."
"Wait a second... We need to get back to Betrayus' castle... By the way where are we?" Winky looked around at the dark unfamiliar surroundings.
"We're...staying with a friend..." Inky vaguely explained.
Winky was about to question him further when a giant dragon eye appeared in front of her. Her eye twitched and she prepared for a frantic scream, before Pinky cut her off. "It's alright, Winky. Burnie is now one hundred percent on our side now!"
"He actually picked up a few things while he was living out here in the Outlands." Inky explained.
Winky blushed brightly. "You...you understood what he spoke to you?"
"I may have picked up a few things from Nozzle, Fuzzy and the others... And Carrie gave me some lessons of stuff you taught her." Inky shyly rubbed his head and looked anywhere but at Winky.
The purple ghost smiled warmly. "That's sweet of you Inky...it really is..."
Pinky's eyes shone brightly as she watched her brother and her best friend share a tender moment. "Awww..." She whispered. "They're soooo cute!"
"Yeah, but can we focus on the mission? I'm sure there will be time towards the end of the chapter for you two." Blinky cut in. "We need to get to Betrayus' castle before Pacopolis is no more than a shrub and some flowers!"
Five ghosts and a dragon soared through the hot silent air, as the rest of the ghost units were up pounding away at Pac-World's forces. Finally they stopped outside the gates, only to be stopped by a remaining gate guard. "Hey you five! What are you still doing here?!" He ordered.
"I'm Princess Winky! I demand you to let me into the castle, it's very important! Please..." The princess added shyly.
"You're not the princess! The real Princess Winky, told me to be on the lookout for fakers like you!" The guard swung his staff at Winky. Inky quickly reacted and shoved the princess out of the way, earning him the end of the staff right in the slime. Winky gasped as she watched Inky be tossed aside and turned into a slime splat against the rocky terrain.
"Are you nuts?!" Winky cried. "You could've seriously hurt him!"
"He won't be the only one if you don't scram!" The guardian waved his staff again, but Pinky had already snatched her friend away from the scene.
"We'll just go around." She explained.
"But we'll get in a lot of trouble if the ghost forces- oh right, they're all up in Pac-World..." Winky giggled.
"Come on Inky, we're leaving!" Blinky called to his brother.
"You stay out here, Burnie, in case there's trouble." Winky explained. "We'll yell if we need you."
"Come on Winky!"
The purple ghost nodded and phased through the wall, where her friends were waiting for her in her bedroom. "Oh, so this is why I always find you in here, Inky... You're going through the back door..." Winky giggled.
"Guilty as charged." Inky laughed.
"That's a little creepy..." Pinky murmured. "So what's the castle gotta do with the Crown?"
"We won't find out if we get caught by Betrayus!" Clyde squeaked as the dictator's shadow shown in the hall.
"Hide!" Pinky whispered. The five quickly took refuge anywhere they could find it in the small, dainty room.
As the figure moved on, the five revealed themselves again. "Well that was anticlimactic..."
"Whatever, Winky read the clue again."
"Alright, Mr. Bossy." Winky smiled at Blinky. As she reread the clue, the five were no closer to unveiling the secret than when they began.
Inky groaned and tuned out, taking in Winky's imaginative decor. The room itself was a dimmer version of the throne room, with the exception of the cute bunny and dragon theme. Posters of famous Pac-Worlders hung all over, but a large portrait of two Pac-Worlders together brought on his attention the most. "Hey Winky, who are these two?"
Winky answered without even looking up. "Those are my parents... That's their wedding picture."
"Okay...if they're Pac-Worlders...why in the NetherWorld are they in the NetherWorld?"
"Well- Wait what?" Winky and the others looked up from the book to see what the blue ghost was talking about. Betrayus and Madame Aria were indeed what appeared to be a part of the castle.
"That's the Ceremony Hall! Where Betrayus had the Pac-Pong Rematch, and where we kept the Tree of Life!" Winky explained unnecessarily.
"Also where Fluffy likes to sleep." Pinky reminded her. The purple giggled. "I remember the last thing she told me was to take care of my kingdom..." She looked down sadly. "And I can't do that if Mean Winky is going drive us down into the ground, taking Pac-World with her..."
"Don't worry," Inky yawned, "we'll get that Crown... Man, all this figuring out stuff is making me tired... Winky you wanna sing me a lullaby?"
"Sure, Inky... WAIT!" Going through the book again, Winky happily squealed. She grabbed her boyfriend and twirled around with him. "You're such a genius, Inky!"
"Well that's nice to know, Winky. But what did he do to earn my title?!" Blinky demanded.
"'A melodious speech'! Otherwise known as a song! It's in the clue to finding the Crown!"
"But what song is going to help you find it?!" Clyde asked.
The four turned to the giant portrait on the wall. "I think I know exactly what song I'm gonna sing! And Blinky, you're gonna help me!"
The five young ghosts quietly traveled passed the throne room, where Betrayus was watching Pacopolis fall to its knees. "Okay, Winky," Pinky whispered softly. The quintet stopped in the middle of the Ceremony Hall, where a particular dog was missing from the scene. "We'd better get this song sung and bail before Fluffy comes back from wherever!"
Winky nodded and pulled out a smaller photocopy of the portrait on her wall. It's was the wedding photo Betrayus had given to her when they reunited as father and daughter. She sniffled as she turned the photo over, the words were still there in curly scribbles written by her mother. "How do you figure this is gonna work?" Blinky asked her, looking at the picture's other half.
"I don't, but anything works right now... Hopefully, singing a song written by my mother in the same room she wed, will help."
"Alright...but if my singing is a little off...don't laugh!" Blinky snapped.
"I won't," the purple ghoul promised. "Besides, you can't be worse than Betrayus..."
"I was talking about Inky, Pinky, and Clyde... But true enough..."
Winky cleared her throat and began the song, with Blinky following each line in a perfect key.
Once the song was done, Winky couldn't help but let out a squeaky giggle. "Wow, Blinky. That was almost rehearsed! How did you do so well?"
"Oh we spied on you and Betrayus when you were singing your song!" Inky answered for his brother. The older counterpart shot him a dirty look, when Winky turned bright pink. "You what?"
"N-nothing!" But before anyone could point fingers, the throne room began to quake and the walls around them rumbled violently. "Wh-what's going on?" Inky stammered. Winky frightfully jumped into his arms, looking around.
"This place is gonna fall!" Blinky panicked.
"We'd better make a hasty escape!" Clyde exclaimed.
Pinky stopped her cowardly brothers from making off to an exit, as she pointed out the true happenings. "This place isn't falling apart! Something's coming out of the ground! Look!"
All around, walls began to build up in the grand Hall, until it was completely unrecognizable. "This must be the hidden temple where the Crown is hiding! This is Aria's Temple!" Winky squealed in awe. "It's so beautiful!" The ghoul approached the wall and lightly touched its elegant ghostly emblem print. "Wow..."
"Winky look at this!" Blinky called out.
The ghoul turned to see a giant statue of her mother, only she was a ghost and not the Pac-Worlder she always knew her to be.
"If she was a ghost at some point... That means she could be around right?!"
The older four nervously looked towards each other, without even considering telling her the true answer. "Umm...sure..." Pinky shyly replied. "Anyway, let's just find our way through this temple... Or whatever it is..."
"Okay so we got the melodious clue right..." Winky referred back to the book, flipping through the pages as everyone went ahead of her. Blindly, following close behind, Winky completely missed what was up ahead. "Winky watch out there's a-" Inky's warning was too late as a fire came up from the floor and roasted the ghoul before their eyes. "W-Winky?"
When the fire cleared, Winky coughed. "Okay... So my mother likes to play with fire... I'm so glad I still have some fire ghost strength, not to get burned..."
"Nice... But the book..." Clyde pointed to the ashes that remained in her hands.
"It's okay... I've read through them a million times... It's not like they had a secret map to this maze..." Winky fell in line, as Blinky led the way through the twists and turns. Many times they ran into complications...mostly slime spitting rooms, biting slugs, and even a Gargoyle Guardian. Finally, after reaching the tenth dead end, Blinky gave up leading. "This is hopeless!"
"If we want Pac-World in one piece when Paccy comes home, we'd better not lose hope!" Pinky snapped grabbing the red ghost.
"Pinky's right, we gotta keep trying." Let's see...uh what did that riddle say? We have to sing a song...a hard day... And purpose will show us the way? That's it! What did we come here for?" Winky asked her friends.
"To find the Crown?" Inky said matter-of-factly.
"To save Pac-World?" Clyde tried.
"To stop your evil twin?" Pinky guessed.
"No..." Winky shook her head.
"Then what did we come for?!" Blinky cried out.
"We came with a purpose...and what is that purpose that is driving us to do the main goal?"
The room was silent until Clyde spoke. "Friendship?"
As he said this a bright light shone on the path behind them. "Follow that line!" Winky giggled, this time taking the lead.
Avoiding all the trials again, the ghosts came back to where they started.
"We came back to where we started?!" Blinky exclaimed. "What kind of lame temple is this?"
"Hey!" Winky glared at him. "Don't be insulting my mom's stuff! We came out intact didn't we? So we're all chill! Now something out here has gotta be...the key to finding that Crown..." Inky was already leaning on the thing she figured would be the answer. "How about this statue?"
"Sounds about right... Now who's ready to stop a meanie?" She happily approached the statue and prodded it curiously.
"Hey, no poking!" It growled.
The the five jumped in surprise and backed away from it. "Y-You can talk?!" Inky stuttered.
"Well of course I can. I'm a Stone Gaurdian...not the same species line as the guys from the other Temple... But what are you five doing here? You don't look like children of the Royal Blood line..."
"I-It's b-because we're not..." Inky fearfully answered.
"But I am!" Winky called, shielding her vision from it.
"Then why do you hide from me child? Show your face." The statue commanded.
At first, Winky felt too afraid to comply and refused, but with coaxing from her dear boyfriend... Winky showed the statue her identity.
"Green eyes... A fair trait from your family...and not common for most ghosts... I take it you have come for your mother's possession? Is the NetherWorld in grave danger already..." The statue rolled its eyes and mumbled to itself. "Can't trust Betrayus to do anything right..."
"No, but Pac-World is in trouble... I fear that if Mean Winky is going to destroy that planet and take over the Nether Realm too!" Winky explained.
"Well, state your name and the words and I will give you the Crown of the NetherRealm."
"Really?!" The purple ghoul's eyes brightened.
"Yes, really..." The statue replied with a yawn.
"Winky...and please?"
"I don't think you understood me... State your name, and the words..."
Winky blushed brightly as she replied unsurely. "My name...is Allison... And the words are..." She looked towards her friends who were in a state shock still from the talking statue. "Uh... 'Cherry Pink'...'Queen'...'Remember'...'The Ghost Who Stole Pacmas'?"
"Well, 'remembers' is the real word...but I'll take it... Your mother had left behind the Crown for you, princess. Use it well, and protect your kingdom." The statue bowed to Winky and hopped off her pedestal where she smashed into a million bits, leaving a pile of rubble...and a shiny golden item.
