Above Hogwarts school of witchcraft and Wizardry

Harry was hovering above the tall spires of the magical school, he didn't want a repeat of yesterday and so was trying to see if he could scan the entire school to get a blueprint of the building. So far he had scanned over 70% of the school. It was early morning his first class didn't start for another two hours. Daphne was still in the hospital wing along with her two friends recovering from their ordeal last night. Harry still couldn't believe a troll had gotten into the school, and Dumbledore had just ordered all the students to return to their dorms where any one of them could have come across it. More importantly the old bastard had punished him for saving three students lives. It was the first time he had been punished for actually doing something right, obviously it wasn't just their way of life that was backwards, but their way of thinking too. Harry was tempted to try doing something wrong and see if he would be praised for it. Harry noticed the scan was finally completed. On his visor he could see Jarvis was analysing all the data. Once everything had been calculated Harry was shown a 3D map of the school, none of the room were listed but it did show all rooms and corridor in the school including the dorms. Now all he would need to do is scan Daphne and then he would be able to see exactly where she was in the school at anytime. He didn't want another repeat of yesterday, next time he might not be so lucky. With his task complete, he slowly descended downwards until his feet touched the grass area just by the Black lake. He removed his armour and then strolled into the main entrance and headed for the Great hall. It was still quite early so he wasn't surprised not to see that many students eating their breakfast. He took a seat near the end of the Gryffindor table and began to pour himself some cereal. He would visit the hospital wing after to check up on Daphne.

Hospital Wing

Daphne slowly opened her eyes and looked up to the ceiling she was in the hospital wing. The smell was a clear give. She pushed herself up into a seating position and looked to the bed next to her where Tracey and Hermione was still asleep. The memories of what had happened last night came flooding back. She pulled her knees up to her chest. She had almost been killed by a troll. She and Tracy had followed Hermione to the girls bathroom. Ron Weasley had called her a know it all, and she hadn't taken to well. She and Tracey had been trying to calm Hermione down and tried to explain that she did have friends and Ron only said that because he was jealous. It was at that time they heard a loud grunt and heavy breathing. A nasty stench had also reached their noses. That was when the troll had suddenly appeared and roared causing all three girls to scream and to retreat back into the stalls. She was surprised to hear Harry's voice followed by a loud explosion forcing her to hold her ear. She heard a loud thud followed by the troll roaring. A new sound then had reached her ear that she didn't recognise. Finally she heard the blood gurgling roar from the troll before another loud thud. Soon as she heard Harry voice give the all clear, she rushed out of the stalls and into his arms. He had saved her, he really did care about her. Daphne was pulled out of her thoughts by Madame Pomfrey's voice.

"Ah Miss Greengrass you're awake good. Now let me do one last scan." Daphne sat still while the nurse ran her wand over her. "Good you can leave when ever you want Miss Greengrass." Daphne hopped off the bed she was still in her uniform and needed to change. She wondered how long it would be until her two best friends woke up. Daphne noticed the Hospital wing doors opened, she smiled as Harry walked in. She didn't care how he was going to react, she launched herself into his arms. Daphne felt him hesitate at first and then his arms enclosed around her.

"Thank you Harry, for saving me yesterday."

Harry had been surprised by Daphne's reaction, however he couldn't see no real harm in it, so he returned the hug, after all this was to be his future bride, plus this last month he had started to get to know her better through their one on one sessions.

"No need to thank me Daphne. Have you had breakfast yet?"

Daphne removed her head from his chest. She blushed as her tummy grumbled causing Harry to smirk.

"Take that as a no then. Are Tracey and Hermione up yet?" Harry noticed both girls were still fast asleep in their beds. "If you want you can wait for them, or I can take you down for breakfast now. I've already had mine, but I wouldn't mind sitting with you, while you eat yours."

Daphne turned her head back to the two occupied bed, and then back to Harry. Here was her chance to spend some more time with him alone. "Let's go Harry, beside if need be I am sure Madame Pomfrey can provide them breakfast in bed."

Harry was surprised by Daphne's decision however he did the gentleman thing and hooked his arm allowing Daphne to slip her arm through his. They left the hospital wing and made their way down the grand staircase to the Great Hall, as they entered a certain pair of blue eyes watched them closely hidden behind his half moon spectacles.

Dumbledore was sitting at the head table when that monster and the Greengrass Heiress had walked in. Both seemed happy. He watched as the monster took a seat next to the girl and both began to joke and laugh with each other while the girl had her breakfast. He had been surprised that the Greengrass Heiress had been sorted into Gryffindor, all Greengrass who had entered the school before her had been sorted into Slytherin house. Had the girl been sorted there then perhaps it would have prevented her in building such a strong friendship with the monster. He still couldn't believe he was being blackmailed by an eleven year old, more importantly the monster still refused to show him respect and was constantly insulting him. He had also received a letter from Gringotts informing him that some gold was being removed from his vault to pay back the little monster as punishment for everything he had stole. Luckily they hadn't mentioned the cloak. Dumbledore had been trying to come up with a excuse to keep the monster in the castle over Christmas, however now that he was no longer the monster's magical guardian then he had no say in the matter. He would just have to give him the cloak when he returned after the holidays. His mind then drifted off to what had happened last night the possessed Quirrill had let in the troll just like he had foreseen, he had also tried to gain access to the third floor, but was stopped by Severus who had cut him off. He knew Voldemort was getting desperate now, as he had began to attack the unicorns in the Forbidden forest. He was drinking their blood to extend his life. He might have to try another way to force the confrontation between the monster and Voldemort as it was clear the shade of Voldemort that had possessed Quirrill was growing impatient. Dumbledore attention was drawn back to the giggling first years and watched as the monster and the Greengrass Heiress left the Great hall, he would have to keep a close eye on that budding relationship.

Courtyard later that Afternoon

Harry was leaning with his back against one of the pillars in the courtyard. He and Daphne had a free period and so he was giving her some private tuition. He turned his head to see Daphne with Hermione and Tracey. Both girls had recovered from their ordeal. He still wasn't ready to forgive either of them for what they had called him. Neither of them had even thanked him for saving them last night. Harry didn't care though. He watched as Daphne separated from her two friends and then skipped over towards him. They had been working on her summoning spell. Since the first time he had taught her the rock she had been trying to summon had finally moved closer to her, but not quite into her hand, like it was suppose to. Harry led her to a quiet area of the courtyard, picked up a fairly large rock, and placed it a few feet away from both of them.

"Okay Daphne let see if you can actually summon it all the way this time. Take out your wand, take a deep breath, focus your magic, and flick your wand calling out Accio."

Daphne did as she was instructed, she was determined to complete the task today, maybe then she could ask Harry if he would teach her something else. She pointed her wand towards the rock, allowed her magic to well up inside her. Flicked her wand upwards a little and in a clear voice called out "Accio rock" The rock rose up from the ground and started to move towards her, it got about three quarters the way before it stopped and fell. Daphne frowned and carried on focusing her magic. "Accio rock!" The rock once more rose up and moved until finally it floated all the way into her hand. She looked down into her hand where the rock was now rolling from side to side.

"Well done Daphne, I knew you could do it. Now lets try it again, practice makes perfect as they say." Harry took the rock from Daphne this time he placed it a little further away and then returned back to her side. "Okay Daphne same again."

Daphne nodded and pointed her wand towards the rock, just as she was about to summon they were interrupted.

"Well, well what do we have here. If its not the blood traitor and the boy who thinks he is better then everyone else."

Harry and Daphne turned to see Draco Malfoy, surrounded by his two goons and a girl. "I heard you were almost killed last night blood traitor, shame the troll didn't finish the job, you and your family are a disgrace to our world."

Harry was about to retaliate but was stopped by Daphne. "Harry leave it, Draco just trying to get you into trouble, it's not worth it." Harry looked to Daphne and frowned.

"He's a bully Daphne and the only way to deal with a bully is directly." Before Daphne could stop him he fired off a powerful stunner that knocked Draco off his feet. He then turned his attention to the rest of group. "Anyone else wants to insult me and Daphne?" He watched as the other quickly turned tail and ran away. Harry then revived Draco who sat up sharply and looked around for support, however there was none. He got to his feet and ran off towards the school shouting

"You wait till my father hears about this!"

Harry ignored him and turned his attention back to Daphne. "Now lets try that again."

Daphne wanted to say something, she knew who Draco's father was. Someone you didn't want to mess with, she didn't want Harry getting into a trouble, however it was too late now. She turned her attention back to the rock. "Accio rock!" The rock lifted off the ground and floated across the courtyard into her hand causing her face to break out into a huge smile.

"Well done Daphne, looks like you've got that one mastered, but remember the bigger and further away the object the more magic you will consume. Now what about the levitation spell can you perform that one?"

Daphne placed the rock back on the floor and then moved her wand over it before flicking it upwards and pronouncing. "Wingardium Leviosa" The rock started to levitate and then dropped. Daphne frowned at the rock. "I was able to do it in charms yesterday."

Harry decided to intervene as he could see she was getting frustrated with herself. "Tell me Daphne what did you levitate yesterday?"

Daphne looked to Harry. "A feather." Harry nodded.

"Okay what is the difference between the rock and the feather?"

Daphne thought about the question, both very different not just material and shape but..It suddenly dawned on what the problem was. "The rock is heavier then the feather."

Harry clapped his hands. "Exactly Daphne the summoning charm, and levitation charm are very similar, both can be affected by the size of the object as well as the distance from the object. Now put into practice what you just learnt and try again."

Daphne looked down at the rock, she then used her wand this time putting more magic into spells. "Wingardium Leviosa" The rock this time rose right up and hovered. Daphne used her wand to control the rocks movement. She then turned her head towards Harry and gave him a huge smile. "Thanks Harry."

Later That Evening

Harry was sitting on the sofa reading one of the books he had collected from his trust vault, it was a journal of his birth father, he had decided by reading about his birth father then he might get an idea of what he was like. From what he was reading, his father was practical joker, and loved to pull pranks along with his godfather and two other friends. It also looked like he was a bit of ladies man too, as he listed several girls in the book, nothing too descriptive but enough to let Harry know that his dad was a bit of player. Further in the journal were lists of spells he had used in transfiguration, many of them were battle spells to accompany is work as an auror. It seems he also loved flying and the sport Quidditch. Harry had seen one Qudditch match and quite frankly didn't see the appeal himself. Harry closed the book and laid it on the sofa. He would have to try out a few of those spells on Robert next time they duelled. Harry stood from the sofa and was about to turn in for the night, when he spotted a robed figure from his window moving across the grounds and heading toward the Forbidden Forest. Harry knew something was attacking the unicorns after all he had helped Hagrid make some nets earlier that year. He activated his armour and opened his window he then jumped out and activated his feet repulsors. The robe figure had reached the edge of the forest. Activating his stealth mode he flew silently in pursuit. Once he reached the entrance to the forest he touched down. The forest was too dense to fly into.

"Are you sure this is wise Master Stark? I am detecting numerous unidentified objects throughout the area."

"Don't worry Jarvis I will be careful now activate night vision so I can see where I am going."

The visor suddenly changed allowing him to see through the darkness. He stepped into the forest which seemed to swallow him whole. His visor was giving off all sorts of reading. It was then heard something in the distance, the sound of horse. Harry started to jog in the direction of the noise, he soon came to a small clearing causing him to suddenly stop. There in the clearing was a white unicorn laid on its side with the robed fiend sucking on its neck. Harry growled inside his helmet. He wondered how he was going to deal with the situation, he couldn't just stand here and watch.

"Hey you!" The effect was immediate, the robed fiend lifted its head and looked over towards him, Harry could see the mouth under the hood and the silver blood now dropping from it. Harry prepared himself as the robe fiend suddenly glided up and flew towards him.

"Jarvis activate flamethrower!" Just as the robed fiend got close Harry unleashed a stream of hot flames. It was clear the robed fiend had been surprised by the flames and soon retreated attempting to put out the flames. It then glided away into the tree tops. "Oh no you don't!" Harry activated his feet repulsors and took off in pursuit. It didn't take him long to catch up. "Jarvis target boggy and blow it out of the sky!" As his visor locked on the robed fiend vanished in a black wisp. Harry growled in frustration. He stopped and hovered in mid flight. They had flown past the school grounds. "Damn it got away." Seeing there was nothing else he could do he turned and headed back to the school, he would tell Hagrid in the morning what he had discovered.

Meanwhile outside of Hogsmeade

Quirrill had appeared and was now checking his robes to make sure they weren't still on fire. That had been a close call. Someone now knew what was attacking the unicorns.

"Quirrill who was that!"

The Defence professor replied with a hint of worry in his voice. "I do not know master. But it will be risky from now on to attack the Unicorns. Now someone knows, they are bound to warn that half breed Hagrid." Quirrill cried out as he grabbed his head, his master wasn't happy.
