Haruka let out yet another sigh, letting herself gracefully fall onto her back, leaving her sprawled out on her bed. She kicked her legs childishly, giving off small moaning noises. She was feeling quite warm in her room, almost unbearable. She had no idea why Ren had to put on the heat so high today for his business associate, but he said it was important so the house would be quite hot.

Haruka grumbled again, turning onto her side and looking out her window. She wanted to open it up but it was permanently sealed now to keep the cold out.

Haruka was quite lonely today. Ren was busy with a business meeting all day today and Tomochika had her day off. As hard as she tried, Tomochika couldn't convince Haruka to let her spend her day off with Haruka. Haruka insisted she had some time out of the manchen, knowing from past experience how bad it got after staying inside for such long periods of time- it caused havoc on her health! She couldn't stand to see her friend get ill, so she sent her to a nice spa for the day. Haruka found herself dumbfounded by how fast Tomochika left after she said 'spa day'. But that was Tomochika for you. And Haruka also expected one or two pieces of clothing for her when Tomochika get back- she never left without buying something.

Haruka did, however, enjoy the peace that she obtained today, giving her plenty of time to think. Sadly, thinking was the worst thing for Haruka to be left alone doing. She let her thoughts drift to a few days ago when Ren and she want on a date together. It started off pretty bad and wasn't the best first date out there, but she didn't regret going. If she didn't, what would have happened to that little girl? Haruka could never regret a situation in which she was able to do some good because of.

But she didn't think too hard on that. What she really thought was about the time after the girl was picked up by her mother. Ren had been watching her closely the moment Sora disappeared from sight. He kept his gaze firmly on her, causing shivers to run up and down her spine. She never returned his gaze, trying to ignore his blue gaze, but he just kept staring at her, watching her every move.

But, despite all of that, she didn't find any discomfort in her memories of the date. She had been surprised by his kind gestures throughout the night. She was convinced that he would force her to drop Sora off at the nearest Police station, but he easily complied in letting her take care of the girl until they could locate Sora's mother. She was also surprised when he offered to share his fish dinner with her after he eyed down her small serving of salad. She couldn't tell if it was a pity gesture or just because he was done eating. Either way she didn't take it. She heard that it you eat with someone's utensils it's considered something like an 'indirect kiss' and she wasn't sure if eating someone's food was the same. Besides, she's never been one for fish- the mercury was bad for her.

She sat up and stared out of the window, brushing her hand across her forehead, wiping sweat off of her brows. The hummed softly to herself, absentmindedly staring out her window. She kept humming, just coming up with random note after note. Soon she stood up, walking over to her piano, excitement in her eyes. She hadn't come up with a melody for years now- ever since she got married to be more precise. But now, out of no where, while in the middle of thinking about her husband, she suddenly came up with such a beautiful piece of work! She rushed to sit down in front of the piano, cracking her fingers and looking down at the piano. She smiled, placing her fingers on the appropriate keys, starting from the beginning of her newly written piece.

She began to play, beautiful notes raining down as if she were an entire orchestra. Her fingers moved without hesitation and with a beautiful flow. She was afraid that she would be rusty, play the wrong notes, and lose the song. But her fingers and memory didn't let her down and she found herself back the the grove quickly. She put her heart into the song she played, letting emotions pour out of her, but these emotions were not of the pain she felt throughout the years. It was the new found happiness she had now. She kept playing, loving the feeling of the glossy keys under her petals smooth fingertips. She felt a wave of content roll over her, making her smile. Even though she knew she pressed down hard on the keys, it still felt fluffy and light to her ears and fingers.

She felt moments of her new friends and old family come back to her. Her grandmother who loved her dearly and raised her to love the world. She remembered the maid who raised, taught, and love her like family, making her smile every day and keeping her company when she was sick. She remembered the kindness Otoya showed her the first time they met. The the Hijirikawa brothers popped into mind. They were interested in her, she knew that much, but even though she barely knew them, they were her friends. Same with Natsuki, who loved her the moment they met. And Syo, who shared with her his difficult past, something that wasn't easy for him to talk about with people. Both Sora and Mai also appears in the back of her mind, bath smiley and full of childlike energy she would happily keep up with to have a good time. Then Tomochika came to mind, her closest and best friend in the entire world. She forced dresses onto Haruka everyday, but she never minded. She loved her friends!

Then Ren came to mine. He had cruel, cold, and distant! But... somewhere along the way, she grew to like him a little more. She had his downfalls, that was for sure, but she also had a few peeks into his kinder side, even if they only lasted a few minutes, usually followed by awkward silences.

She almost wanted to laugh at the times she had had in the last few months- maybe some of the best times of her life. She was meeting so many people and seeing so many different places for the first time in her life.

And thats when she realized, she wasn't alone now. And, on top of that, she wasn't sad anymore.

Yay, Haruka's happy now! But there is still some more characters to add. I wonder who they are! Perhaps one will come up soon. Maybe one will come up next chapter! Who really knows?... If you guessed ImaDoinWat, then you are correct!
