Chapter 25: They are awake but not truly awake
Sydney: Hello, it is Sydney again. There is a new chapter for you all to read.
Sora: This is actually a first or second or third. She is actually updating after a couple of days.
Sydney: I got a review sometime during the night last night and then a favorite while I was working. It made me very happy and I really wanted update sooner.
Sora: Either way, Sydney does not own Kingdom Hearts or Divergent. She really wants to own Kingdom Hearts because then there would already be a Kingdom Heart III.
Sydney: Enjoy reading, review, favorite, etc. And if you review, give me some new worlds to play around with.

Third place. I came in third overall in the rankings while Tris was first. The banquet was kinda boring to tell you the truth. That night was the interesting part. It started in the middle of the night. I was sitting on my bed in the corner, reading a small novel that I managed to get when the others around me started to move and get up. The mattresses squeaked when each person got up and started to get ready for the day. It was silent as everyone got ready which was weird since they all tended to be loud.
"Christina." Tris hissed from her bed at Christina who was tying her shoelaces.
"Christina!" Tris said as he grabbed her shoulders and started to shake her. Christina didn't even look over at Tris. I moved to get up from my bed and Tris' head snapped towards me.
"I'm awake." I said as I held my hands up to show that I was actually awake.
"Her eyes are blank and her facial muscles are slack." Tris said after a few seconds of silence.
"They all look the same. Like they aren't awake but they seem like it." I said as all the initiates fell into a line and started to fill out of the dormitory. I looked over at Tris to see he grabbing Will's arm to stop him but he moved forward with irrepressible force.
"They won't stop." I said as I slipped my black sneakers and grabbed a jacket. Tris hurried to tie her shoes and pull on her jacket before he sprinted out of the room to catch up with the other initiates. Once we caught up, we started mimic their moves the best that we could. We reached the pit soon after and the line turned left, towards Max who was standing in the hall, watching us as we walked past. After passing Max, we climbed the a flight of stairs and traveled in the same rhythm down four more corridors. The hall opened into a huge cavern where a crowd of Dauntless stood. There were rows of tables that were piled high with guns and ammo.
"Every Dauntless that Eric injected yesterday is here." Tris whispered to me.
"The whole of Dauntless is brain-dead, obedient, and trained to kill. The perfect soldiers." I whispered back, trying not to move my lips too much or drop my head. We didn't have time to say anything because we were suddenly at one of the tables picking up a gun, holster and a belt. The two of us attempted to follow Will moments but it was unlikely that we could predict his moves before he did them. Once we were armed, we followed the others towards the exit.
At this point in time, I really wished that I did go and warn Sora about what is about to happen. He may be strong but he is in a faction that won't let him do anything that is selfish. But then again, using his strength to save the others would be good. I knew that out of everything, I needed to get Sora out of there. Soon we walked into a dark hallway where we couldn't see anything. Tris and I both ran into some steps that lead to another hallway. As we reached the top of the stairs, we passed another Dauntless leader.
"Dauntless leaders are the only people awake besides us." I whispered softly to Tris once we were far enough away from the Dauntless leader.
We were standing next to the tracks in a group when the train actually stopped in front of us with every car open. One by one, we climbed into the train car. The car in front of us filled up and Will turned towards the next one. Tris and I moved a few feet to the right where all the people around us were taller. We hopped into one of the cars, standing shoulder to shoulder with the others. I heard a small gasp coming from Tris which meant that Four has managed to grab her hand. We soon jump out of the train near the Abnegation section. We walked for a half mile before we hear popping sounds. The further we walked, the louder and sharper the popping got. The Dauntless have started killing the Abnegation. I really hope that Sora isn't around at the moment.
"This is insane." A male voice on my right said. It was Eric and he poked Tris' cheek.
"They really can't see us? Or hear us?" A female voice asked.
"Oh, they can see and hear. They just aren't processing what they see and hear the same way," Eric said. "They receive commands from our computers in the transmitters we injected them with and carry them out seamlessly."
"Now, this is a happy sight," Eric said as he stepped away from Tris and towards Four. "The legendary Four. No one's going to remember that I came in second now, are they? No one's going to ask me, 'What was it like to train with the guy who has only four fears?'" Eric drawn his gun and pointed his gun at Four's right temple.
"Get that gun away from him." I said as I placed my hand on the gun in my holster.
"You won't shoot me." Eric said after a few seconds. That was as much time as Tris needed to get her gun out and point it at Eric's head.
"Interesting theory." Tris said as she shifted her aim and shot Eric's foot. I pulled my gun out and shot Eric's friend in the leg. The three of us made our way towards the alley. That was when I saw Sora, running towards us.
"Sora!" I shouted as I ran towards him. Soon bullets were flying at us. It was amazing that we didn't really get hit yet. Once we were close enough to each other, we made a mad dash towards the alley that would lead to more hidden areas.
"Run!" I heard Tris yell and I knew she had fallen. Sora and I continued to run until we were hiding behind the buildings.
"It's...so...good...to...see...you...Sydney." Sora said, panting in between each word.
"It's good to see you too Sora. Now we have to find Roxas." I said as I looked around the area to see if anyone followed us.
"Okay, give me a couple of minutes." Sora said as he bent down to place his hands on his knees. He was dressed in grey clothing that really didn't work for him.
"Can't, they will find us if we stop for long." I said as I grabbed Sora's arm and started pulling him away. We walked for an unknown number of minutes before a hand shot out of a room and pulled us inside.
"Let us go." I told the person who grabbed us. That only turned out to have my mouth covered for a few minutes.
"No need to be scared Jackson." A familiar voice said and the hand that was covering my mouth was replaced with a pair of lips. My eyes closed and I wound my arms around his neck, pulling him even closer to me.
"Awe! Don't do that in front of me!" Sora complained making the two of us to break apart.
"Shut up Sora." I said as I punched his arm before turning back to the spiky blond who had his hands on my waist.
"Yeah, shut up Sora. Go down the hall." Roxas said as he took one of his hands off my waist and pointed out in some direction. Sora mumbled something about not being a equal as he walked off. Once I was sure that he was gone, I looked back at Roxas and pulled him into a kiss. It was sweet, simple kiss but it said everything that should have been said.
"Don't leave me again." Roxas whispered as we pulled apart.
"I really wished that I could promise you that but you know with this lifestyle, it's kinda impossible." I said.
"I know. But it is still a nice thought." Roxas whispered as he smiled at me. I couldn't help but smile back at him.
"Now, shall we go make sure that Sora hasn't damaged anything." I said as we unwrapped our arms from each other. He grabbed my hand and entwined our fingers together.
"Onto the next world we go." Roxas said as we headed down the hall where we could hear the annoying quacking of a duck, barking of a dog and Sora.
