Hopefully this story finishes soon, not that I hate it. But it's really hard to keep track with this story and my other DP story, and plus I don't want it to interfere with school next year. *sigh* I know, I keep bringing school up, but still. Try doing 2 stories along with your last year of schooling.

But anyways, still not sure how far away the ending is, it seems pretty near. But i usually drag these things out a lot. Well, I'll just say one thing; it won't reach 40 Chapters ;) I assure you.

So, on with the Chapter! Hope you enjoy Chapter 25 of Wrong Turns! ^^

DP (C) Butch Hartman

The ghosts were somehow becoming more and more powerful and were beginning to overwhelm Danny. He didn't know the reason why they were getting stronger, but he did notice something.

While he battled the ghosts, he saw a ghost portal open and then the ghosts became stronger and more powerful. He was beginning to figure out the cause for how the ghosts were getting stronger. It seemed to him that the ghost portal was releasing ecto energy to make the ghosts stronger. But what confused him was why it wasn't affecting him.

"I don't get it, why isn't it affecting me? I'm half ghost so it should make me stronger too." He said to himself in confusion as he blasted another ghost ray at a ghost to send it flying.

The ghosts screeched at him several times, Danny envied them. He wished he had a strong voice that would be able to make a powerful wave of sound. He turned himself invisible to protect himself from the ghosts' attacks, but since they could turn invisible too and could detect ghosts just like Danny could, they were able to find him and attack him.

One of the green ghosts punched Danny and sent him flying; he flew while bouncing off the ground damaging both his body and his hazmat suit. He fell on the road in front of a parked car with newly formed wounds on his legs and arms. He groaned as he got up in pain and slowly walked towards the ghosts which were speeding at him in order to attack him more.

Danny quickly turned intangible and let the ghosts pass right through him, he then tried to use as much strength as he could to turn around and punch those ghosts. He was successful at punching them, but he knew that he couldn't fight forever. He had to capture them, he was lucky to always have a thermos on him whenever he changed into his ghost form.

So now, he decided to capture as many ghosts as he could before he would return back home with them.

It was a very difficult job to capture as many ghosts as he could, but somehow he managed to capture at least four of them, he quickly checked the thermos capacity and saw that there was still some available room. So he called for a ghost to come and get him, which would lure the ghost into a trap.

As soon as he caught that ghost, he closed the lid on the thermos and decided to now run back home and help his family and friends. He ran as fast as he could, he could feel the bruises forming with every quick step he took. He grunted in pain. The ghosts had done some damage to him; he needed a quick moment for himself to heal, since in his ghost form, his wounds healed much quicker.

Danny saw the ghost shield off in the distance, he smiled vaguely with relief before picking up his pace even more to make sure that no ghost would catch him at the last minute. He heard ghosts behind him, he quickly turned around as he continued to run and fired in every direction that he could before turning around to see the ghost shield mere feet away.

He transformed and dived through the ghost shield. He got up and smirked at the angry ghosts banging on the outside of the shield, he then went off to his house to find his family and friends.

"Phew, glad I'm back in here." He said to himself referring to the ghost shield protecting him from the ghosts.

As he ran he looked all around and saw how dark the skies had gotten, it almost seemed like the ghost energy from the ghost zone was mixing with the air in this dimension. The skies were beginning to turn purple.

He was about to look where he was going when suddenly, he bumped into someone. They both fell and hurt their heads slightly. Danny rubbed his with a moan in pain before getting up to see who he had bumped into.

"Hey, why don't you watch-"

He saw that it was Tucker; he gasped and then helped his friend up since he was still injured from a while ago.

"Tucker! What are you doing out here?" he asked in worry of his friend's condition.

"I was looking for you, but now that I've found you, you have to come back to your place now." He explained in a slight panic.

"Well, I was going there anyway. But why? What's happened?" Danny asked in worry.

Tucker looked down in worry of what to tell Danny then looked up and placed a hand on Danny's shoulder.

"Let's just say that they need your help, now." He stated.

Danny clenched his teeth in worry and anxiety of what might have happened to them. He then thanked Tucker for letting him know and began to run towards his house.

"Take it slow, okay?" He called out, not wanting Tucker to run in his condition.

"I will." He called out waving to Danny.

Danny smiled in reply then worry robbed his mind as he ran through many worried citizens before reaching the front door of his house. Before he went inside to see if everyone was alright, he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath.

"They better be okay, but by the sound of Tucker...I'm not..."

He sighed again before quickly rushing in and constantly calling out his parents names, his sisters name but mostly he called out for Sam.

"Where are you?'

There was an echo of silence; it was unbearable to hear silence when he got told that there was something urgent his family needed help with. He didn't know what it was, and the silence throughout the house only frightened him.

"Guys? Please answer me!" He cried in fear of anything bad happening to any of them, especially Sam.

Another eerie calm of silence was present after he called out for them again. But soon enough, the silence was broken by a large explosion from downstairs in the lab. Danny quickly raced down there to see big trouble floating in the air.

"How did you get free?!" Danny cried pointing to Skulker who was floating right in front of him.

"You think that thermos can hold me and my suit? You need to make improvements if you want to capture me." He insisted jokingly before firing one of his small missiles at Danny.

Danny gasped and quickly ducked to avoid the missile, it flew upstairs and into the kitchen, then the missile came in contact with something in the kitchen. It was uncertain what the missile had came in contact with, but whatever it was, it made a loud explosion sound.

He ran over to Sam to help protect her, but she didn't need protection since she had a ghost weapon in hand, she tapped Danny on the shoulder and then gave him a ghost hunting weapon. He smiled then turned to fire at Skulker but saw that he was more than prepared to fight. He had several of his hunting equipment in full view. Another missile was fired directly at both Danny and Sam; Sam ducked while Danny stood to contain the pain of the missile once it would hit him.

He closed his eyes as he heard an explosion but didn't feel anything. He opened his eyes to see his hands in front creating a ghost shield. He didn't realise this and was shocked to see this since he had never made a ghost shield outside of his ghost form.

"Wow, that's never happened before."

"Maybe if his ghost powers are fine under the ghost shield, then yours are." Sam explained getting up from the ground.

Danny looked down in thought, meanwhile Skulker managed to avoid the other Fenton's attacks by reflecting them back at them. This enabled Danny some time to think about what Sam was telling him. He did look up a brief moment to see if his family was alright, he could see that they were getting hurt, but not too bad for him to quickly rush over to help them heal.

"You know, I think you're right. Okay, I'll give it a go."

Sam smiled, and stepped back to enable Danny some room to transform into his ghost half. Danny lowered his head and closed his eyes as he slowly began to transform. The two blue rings that formed around his waist began to reveal his ghost form. Danny felt no pain as his ghostly form was exposed to the inside of the ghost shield. As the rings revealed Danny's ghost form from head to toe, he felt glad that he didn't feel any pain from the ghost shield.

But, as he began to attack with a ghost ray, the ghost shield immediately zapped Danny throughout his body. He screamed in pain as he felt an electrical shock through his body, he fell down on the floor in pain, then the two blue rings that originally revealed his ghost form now appeared to revealed his human form. Sam quickly went down to see if Danny was okay.

"Danny, are you okay?" She asked.

Danny looked at Sam annoyingly, since he clearly wasn't okay and was growing annoyed of that question.

"Sorry, standard question."

Sam helped Danny back up, he grunted in pain but managed to recover and dodge Skulker's attack move. He shielded Sam from any more attacks that Skulker made, but Sam moved Danny aside and used the ghost weapon she had in hand to attack Skulker. The blasts done minimal damage to his hard wired suit, but did make his missiles not operational anymore.

"Why don't you just use your powers without changing?" Sam suggested while blasting a few more times.

Danny looked down in thought; he remembered that it didn't hurt when he done it moments ago. So he decided to do so. He nodded to Sam in reply and decided to use his ghost rays while still in human form.

Meanwhile on the other side, Jazz, Maddie and Jack were getting badly wounded and knew that if they or the equipment behind them got damaged, they would not be able to fix the ghost portal in a short time. So Jazz decided to call Danny over to see if he could help somehow.

"Danny! Could you come here? We need your help!" She cried.

Danny looked at Sam worriedly, he didn't want to leave her, but knew that his family needed him so with one final look at Sam he turned himself intangible before running through Skulker as well as his attacks to reach the other side.

"Why do you need my help?" He asked with curiosity.

"We need your help over here, because if he targets any of his weapons at the equipment..."

Danny gasped with widened eyes in sudden realisation and shock. "The portal...can't be fixed..."

"Exactly. We need your help over on this side the most." Jazz implied.

Danny looked over at Sam again in worry, and saw that she was firing as many blasts as she could at Skulker as well as using her agility to dodge the oncoming attacks.

"I don't know..." Danny said suddenly feeling unsure about himself.

"Danny, I know how much you care about Sam. But the whole world is counting on us."

Danny felt very pressured at that very moment, he knew he was a ghost fighting hero in a few people's eyes, but he didn't know that a whole world would depend on him and his family and friends.

"Please Danny, if too many ghosts come through anymore portals, the two dimensions will become unstable and collapse on each other." Jazz explained with a saddened look on her face.

At this point, Danny felt even more pressured; he wasn't sure whether the information Jazz was giving to him was helping or making him feel even more pressured. He knew that he was feeling more pressure than determination.

Jazz, I know you're smart but you don't have to pressure your little brother. Lol. Well, that's it for this Chapter. The next one should be before this year is up. If not, then I'll see you next year! ^^
