Behind the scenes 3: Glades Glasnost. During alpha development, the concept of Glades came from the character from evangelion 3.0 which was Misato Katsuragi. Originally I wanted a Russian Blake for some reason but after playing Metro redux, its best for Glades to have a stoic personality and cold like Misato in 3.0 though she has a soft side. You see, the reason why Glades wasn't given enough time in this fic is because she isn't really active unless and is rather passive in terms of situations like the Adam fight. Glades will be given more time in this fic and probably shipped with Neptune. Her country is a character itself at the same time and you might see a glimpse of it soon. Glades outfit is also inspired by Misato from 3.0 but at the time, suppose to look more WW1-ish.
Beacon
Blake silently eats her food alongside her team who are trying there best to move on after team ENRG's expulsion, its been five weeks after they were expelled and things remain the same without them. But Ms. Goodwitch glares at Ozpin as if it was his fault and Endswell not looking so great after the event. The only one remaining of team ENRG is Ryka who is Ozpin's ward and always comes to work with him to assists in things, she didn't take it well at all. Ruby looks at Ryka who is silently eating her food, she looks like she's going to breakdown any second now as it becomes apparent she so team RWBY gets up from there seats and sits next to Ryka.
"Yes?" Ryka said as she thinks they want something from her.
"Nothing, we just want to sit next to you." Yang replied as Ryka needs some emotional support right now after what had happened her team who were pretty much her closest of friends, Norris didn't even leave a giant robot for her.
"And why is that...?" The worried girl asks only for Weiss to slam her hands against the table.
"Don't act like your still okay! I can tell it by your eyes!" Weiss yelled only for Ruby to calm her down.
"Calm down Weiss. Ryka, we're trying to help you coup with this. We can tell your lying about assisting Ozpin." Ruby said as Ryka isn't coping well with the expulsion of her team.
"How can you tell!?" Ryka spat back angrily at Ruby.
"Because you always stick around in your old dorm and everyone is worried about you, you come here all the time and act like your still a student. Its unhealthy." Yang negotiated.
"I'm just remembering things okay!?" The tanned girl said as her tattoos glow blue for some reason.
"Memories lead you back and pull you down...Ryka, I think its time to move on." Ruby implored as Ryka's eyes widened as team JNPR alongside CRDL who are friends with her team look at her in worry.
"Move...move on?"
"Like maybe just accept that your no longer a student of Beacon, take a break and I can tell by your eyes you haven't slept in days too." Ryka's eyes turns bloodshot as it becomes apparent that she hasn't slept well alongside the bags in her eyes.
"You know what I just noticed?" Ryka asks as she slams her hands against the table and rises.
"HOW COME YOU SORRY BITCHES DIDN'T GET EXPELLED! WHEN ITS EITHER YOU OR JNPR, YOU NEVER GET IN TROUBLE AT ALL! BUT WHEN ITS US, WE GET THE WORD LASHING AND NOT YOU!" She roared as team RWBY backs away.
"Ryka, your being delusional!" Jaune yelled as he remembers that team ENRG never got yelled at.
"BETTER YET, YOU GUYS WENT ON YOUR OWN MISSION, SO WHAT THE HELL!? WHAT THE HELL!?" Ryka continued as team RWBY knew she was making a scene and probably making a point too. Why didn't they get expelled too?
"Ryka, I know how you feel so don't change the subject-" The girl slams her hand into Ruby's.
"MY POSITION? MY POSITION!? I DIDN'T ASK TO BE TORN APART AND PUT TOGETHER OVER AND OVER AND TURNED INTO SOME LITTLE MONSTER!" Ryka raged knowing that for hell that team RWBY never been there before at all and for they know, they have no idea what its like to feel like a looser and all of that hard work was for nothing at all.
Pyrrha places her hand on Ryka's shoulder only for the girl to shrug it off. Cinder looks in the distances and squints her eyes at Ryka and realizes who she is...Ryka leaves the cafeteria as the students knew that she's going insane as before so its best left to leave her alone for now.
Kanon.
Glades overlooks her snowy country as she was put in guard duty to kill any wolves who threaten to attack the oil drilling team that accompany the place. Its not that she's poor that she's doing this, its because she wants to kill some time by doing some volunteer work to get her mind off of being expelled. Glades spots a wolf rising from its hiding place so she shoots it down causing it to fall and stumble
"Отличный выстрел. (Nice shot.)" A teammate complemented as Glades gets up so she can go home with them. Another teammate walks beside her and he's armed with the same rifle she has, his name is Ottway Neeson and he's a foreigner from Atlas or something. He has a beard and a moderately large nose and wears a beanie hat alongside a white bubble jacket.
"Say, I heard from the men you were from Beacon academy, is that true?" For some odd apparent reason, he sounds like Liam Neeson to Glades. She turns to him with a sad smile.
"Yes I am." She replied in perfect English with no trace of accent at the same time. Glades always goes to the library to read some books on English and learned from them.
"So what happened?" Ottway asks as he knew Glades must have left Beacon or expelled.
"I got expelled for causing my team to do something stupid...I wish I didn't say that to him." Glades replied as it was her fault that her team was expelled from Beacon and pushed Ener to going on that stupid mission that was there own in the first place. She was stupid back then.
"Wish?" The older man asks.
"My whole team was expelled because I pushed our leader to go on a quest that wasn't worth it." They head down to the tunnels as there are border guards in front of it, the soldier gives Glades her payment and she enters the polis. The surface world is still occupied by the white fang but they are slowly loosing to either harsh climates brought upon themselves or the elite fighting force known as the rangers that took down the red line and the fascist. Glades walks in the streets as its lighted by artificial lighting and looks a little modern. The first days of the evacuation was filled with hardships but with the scientists and workers, they managed to create a safer future for everyone.
Glades walks to her apartment where her Mom and Dad live alongside her cousins. She opens the door to see them welcoming her.
"Добро пожаловать домой. (Welcome home)" Her dad greeted as he reads the news.
"Так как была работа? (So how was the job?) Glade's mother asked with a sweet smile while she works the dishes.
"Так и так. (So and so.)" Glades replied while takes off her trench coat and hat to reveal her black turtle neck sweater and blue jeans. She unties the bun on her hair and it slides out to show her raven colored hair. Glades turns on the TV and watches her favorite show which is a game show where people steal a car and if they last longer than 34 minutes, they keep it. Her scroll vibrates and she picks it up to see that Ener texted her. He had a contingency plan in case if they got expelled to give him there civilian-issued scroll numbers.
So how's Kanon doing?-Ener.
Glades chooses not to reply as it was her fault that they were expelled so its best not to talk to her former teammates who probably hate her now.
Threshold corporation.
Norris walks with his mother as they have ANOTHER meeting with the Schnee company, beside him is Drew wearing a standard high-ranking military uniform and a beret on her head. This is probably another roast by. The door slides open to reveal him causing Norris to roll his eyes at him. He sits down and pulls out his scroll so he can text Velvet. Norris's mother known as Laura sits in front of .
" , I've been noticing the significant less usage of dust so I have a proposition: Give the company to me." He negotiated as Laura sips her coffee calmly.
"Or what?" She taunted.
"Well, your son here has embarrassed the name so I want to rekindle it in a new era of-"
"And Drew here sent me a leaked file specifying that you will fire Faunus workers." Laura interrupted him.
"They're animals like your general so its best to-"
"We welcome diversity with open arms , that's the reason why were now the number one company of Remnant now. Not only we have a large workforce, we have the single most largest army ever alongside unmanned ones...so tell me." She leans closer to him.
"What makes you think you would buy us out. We've been labeled savior by other kingdoms and countries, you've been labeled as a racist bigot." Laura said as her voice is creepy and hypnotic at the same time. gets up from his seat and leaves.
"And that son is how you deal with a Schnee." Norris nods and leaves while ignoring her. He heads down to the armory and loads his weapons for target practice. His scroll rings to reveal Velvet is calling now so he answers via face time.
"Norris, how are you doing?" She asks with a sweet smile on her face.
"Doing great, I'm still a little shaken up by the expulsion but it'll wear off soon." He replied with a smile as he sat on a bench.
"So any news about Ener?" Velvet asks as Blake requested the question.
"No, its like he's gone silent for some reason." The rabbit Faunus could tell that Norris isn't okay at all by the look of his eyes.
"Okay then...your still not alright. I can tell." Velvet said with an unimpressed tone.
"What!? I am okay, what's past is past." He replied while sweating, Norris sighs in defeat.
"Your right, I'm not okay..." Norris admitted as the expulsion traumatized him because its his first time being expelled.
"I feel...I feel like a looser alright, I get phobias each time I try to apply for another school." Norris continued.
"Well Ryka isn't holding up too, she's lonely." Velvet added as most team ENRG is now a wreck.
"Well that's Ryka."
Goodwitch residence.
Ener sleeps on his bed and hits the alarm clock as its ringing again which he sighs in frustration. He gets up from his bed to reveal that its now 9:00am and he should go to sleep but he decides not to. He comes out at night all the time because though it might be scary, Vale is always beautiful during night and he loves going to the shops and stores around. After being expelled from Beacon, Ener destroyed ultra and violence out of rage. But Glynda anticipated this move and replaced the two pistols with ones called talons. They resemble Blake's gambol shroud minus the string and all.
The boy walks in the streets as he tries to shake off the feeling of failure from Beacon. He hasn't talked to his friends, pretty much he shut himself out from them as its his habit to not talk to former students anymore. It was then something came out of the shadows and he turns. In front of him is Aqua who was chased out of Beacon.
"You wanted to speak to me?" He asked his fellow Grimm shifter as she smiles.
"Yes, I can teach you to control your powers."
"I can control them already." Ener replied while readying to walk away.
"You only turn into large Grimm beasts not small ones like beowolves or ursa's..."
"Nice try, see you around." Ener walks away only for Aqua to touch him in the shoulder.
"I can tell you the origins of the Grimm shifters."
So who wants Blake or Ryka to pull a shiki and burn down Beacon in a psychopathic meltdown and take herself with it?
