Chapter 24: Lost Father

"I can't believe you two!" Nana scolded the girls as she takes care of their burns. "You two are idiots! Big idiots! Morons! Dumbasses!" she hit the girls over the head with a book. "You guys went after a demon and fought hell hounds without preparing yourselves!"

"Sorry Aunt, we didn't know it was going to end up like that." Bo says to her aunt.

"We're sorry." Gou apologized to her and bowed on her knees.

"It's fine but just be careful next time." Nana sighed in frustration. "How did it go anyway?" she crosses her arms and glared at them.

"So you don't know who killed Hex then?" Nana said surprised and rubbed her chin.

"No we don't." Gou looked down in disappointment.

"I think he was just a puppet." Bo said, said catching the others attention. "He can't just died like that do no reason. We did injure him badly but not until he was just dust. I think his employer was done with him at that point."

"Well he did run away. Maybe the employer thought he was useless." Gou completes the idea, following what Bo is saying. "He got rid of him." Gou says grimly. The room became silent with a dark, tense aura. Suddenly someone's phone goes off. Gou picks it up and sees that it's her boyfriend.

'Let's go to Samezuka for their festival tomorrow with Haru, Rei, and Nagisa!'

"Who is it?" Bo asked, looking over Gou's shoulder.

"Makoto..." Gou's face blushes.

"Everyone is going? Then I'm going!" Bo says cheerly. "Your brother might doing something embarrassing there!" she laughs evilly.

"Oh dear..." Nana and Gou said worried for Rin.

The Next Day...

"Hey girls!" Rei greets the girls as the walked up to the Samezuka school grounds.

"Hey guys!" Gou and Bo run up to Makoto, Rei, Marisa, and Haruka.

"Gou you look cute today." Makoto says, grabbing her hand. Gou blushes and looks down at her feet. Then she looks up and kisses him on the cheek, making him blush.

"Come on lovebirds, get a room!" Bo says jokingly.

"Shut up, let's go look around!" Gou shouts and pulls Makoto by the hand.

"Wait we have one more coming!" Rei calls out. Everyone stops in their tracks and looked over to him.

"Sorry I am late." a familiar soft voice said. It was Chigusa and she smiled at everyone as she grabs Rei's hand.

"That's some shit there..." Bo sighed. Gou elbows her hard and smiles.

"Hi Chigusa, let's all have fun together okay!" Gou said, trying to pull a big smile. Chigusa shrugs and wraps her arms around Rei's. "Well let's go!" Gou tried to sound cheery trying to cover the awkward atmosphere.

As they walked around as Gou and Makoto held hands and tried go of while Bo with Nagisa, acting like children as Haru acted like a older brother. Rei and Chigusa were quiet as they looked around. When they got to this strange cafe, they saw the some of the Samezuka swim members in maids outfit.

"Nitori-chan!?" Nagisa shouted, pointing at a short, gray haired boy in a maids outfit. Nitori jumped in fright as he saw the Iwatobi gang their in front of the cafe.

"Gou-chan!" Momo spotted Gou and ran towards her. He was stopped when Makoto stepped in front of her with a scary, smiling face. Mono shivered and stepped away and his behind Nitori.

"What's with all the racket!? You are going to scare the customers away!? Someone shouted as the curtain opened abruptly. Everyone looked over and saw Run in a maids outfit. The atmosphere became quiet and awkward. Suddenly Bo took out her phone a took a picture of him.

"What do you think you're doing Watanabe?!" he shouted and rushed up to her. She quickly dodged him and started to laugh really hard.

"What's up drag queen!?" she said while laughing.

"Give me the phone now Watanabe Boboa!" he shouted but she kept dodging him.

"So why are you guys dressed like that?" Rei asked Nitori.

"It was a class vote so have to do it." Nitori looked down embarrassed as fixed his dress. After he answered, they all continued to watch Rin and Bo chase each other around the cafe.

Then her phone was taken out of her hands. Sousuke was standing behind her in an a backwards red ball's and in a white apron. and deleted the picture. He gave her phone back and glared at everyone.

"Sousuke..." Rin whispered like he was scared. Sousuke grabbed him by the collar and pulled him back into the kitchen.

"...Should we go?" Nagisa asked with his voice trembling. Everyone agreed and left the cafe quickly as possible.

As the gang walked around Nagisa caught sight of a poster. It was a tormenent poster.

"Hey guys this looks fun!" he motioned everyone to come over.

"Squirt gun challenge. Two teams will spray each other Until the last one stands." Makoto reads allowed. "That's sounds like! Gou and Bo will you like to join?" Gou and Bo looked at each other rising with fear.

"Um...we can't..there's a...muscle competition!" Bo said.

"Musk e competition..." Gou's eyes widen and quickly dragged Bo to it without given a good by to the guys and Chigusa.

As they ran towards the competition, Gou spotted someone in the crowd that looked familiar. It was the same man at her father's grave, watching her from the distance.

"What's wrong?" Bo asked noticing that she stopped.

"Do see that guy over there?" she pointed over where the man was standing. Bo looked over and shook her head.

"What guy?" she said. Gou looks over and sees that he he gone. "Come let's go..." Bo pulls her to see the competition.

"What did he look like?" Bo asked when they took a seat.

"He was short, really dark hair and seemed like he was 30. I've seen him at my father's grave once." Gou explained.

"Do you know who he is?"

"He seems familiar like I've meet him before but I just don't know." Gou covers her face in frustration. After that she couldn't pay attention to the competition.

When it was over, the girls left and spotted Sousuke, Momo, and Rin having a sort of stand off. Then Momo was sprayed with water and crumbled down in defeat. Sousuke quickly took the chance a ran. Then Run noticed the girls and went up to them.

"Did you guys enjoyed the show?" he asked. The girls mumbled their answer to him.

"Alright then?" he said and looked over to where Sousuke ran off to. Then his widened and his mouth dropped open. "Dad..."he whispered. The girls looked over and saw the man Gou described. He notices at them staring at him and quickly dashes into the crowd. They all followed after him.

They ended up in the middle of the courtyard. He was nowhere in sight.

"Damn he's gone...he's gone again." Rin throws the water gun onto the ground.

"Who is he Rin?" Gou asked.

"That was...our father Gou." he said with such a melancholy expression.

...

"Yes...yes...Alright...I'll be waiting for you." Chigusa says into her phone.

"Use everything alright?" Rei asked her. She smiles and kids her heads and quickly wraps her arms around him.

"Everything is just splendid." she said with a wicked smile on her face.

...

"Where have you been? I was beginning to sorry you know." the strange woman I. The cave said to the man who was out of breath.

"Just wanted some fresh air." he said. The woman smiles and motions him over.

"I know something that's even better than that." she said with a husky voice. The man slowly comes towards her and she quickly wraps herself as kind him and kisses him over and over again.
