Letters from a Mutual Friend: 25
Author's Disclaimer: No, I don't own Labyrinth. All rights go to their respective owners. I just play with the characters a little now and then. The musical is coming, and now Sarah's friends can have their [revenge] fun. Enjoy!
Letter 25: Tech Week Pt. 1

[Your Excellency Our Noble King O Cunning One]
Your Majesty,
We hope that this letter finds you ready [to attack] for one of the most interesting weeks we have had in some time. Not since The Great Elvish Escapade have we had this much fun [nor prepared so much]. Even as we speak, Ludo and Ruby Lou are on their way back from a very successful fishing trip. When they return, they will have more than two dozen fish [more like five], all of which will be used as special surprises for the guilty ones when they enter backstage each day of "Tech Week", as Sarah calls it. As for "Tech Week" in general, our main plans involve the fish, and perhaps some goblins appearing to play with the stuff backstage so that it is better arranged. We look forward to leaving them presents to show our gratitude toward them. In two days, all shall begin.
In addition, all plans for the performances are going well. Sir Didymus did as you suggested and found new powders, as well as created a few with Hoggle's help, so that they can be added into the stage makeup on the first night of the performance. All is set for the first night, and we are hoping that at least one person will turn green from the makeup. Hoggle has been letting the fresh fruit go bad, as well as taking some of his leftover tomatoes [which never seem to disappear] and creating some tomato juice. He thinks that it will be useful for the costume surprises on the second night. We know that you had made plans already for that night, so if you require anything else, just [tell Sir Didymus] inform us as soon as you can. We leave the last night's plans in your [far too willing] capable hands. The only thing that worries us is what to do about that boy. We are glad that Sarah will be able to perform as the stepsister for us, but we don't want her to dance with him, lest she feel uncomfortable. We have no doubt that you will find a way to make sure that all the right understudies get a chance to perform, for Sarah's sake [if nothing else]. If we think of anything, we will let you know. We look forward to the next two weeks, and we hope that it brings you some measurable peace as well [to finally take care of them properly].
Your [eager willing] servants,
Hoggle and Sir Didymus

To Sir Didymus, Ludo, and [Higgles Hogoles] Hoggle,
It pleases me that all is going according to plan. I visited the Aboveground [every day so far] twice to see how the fish worked out, and they did their job well. It seems that they ended up in the women's bags somehow, and now all of their stuff smells. Funnily enough, the fish keep coming back each day. I oversaw the goblins' rearranging, and they outdid themselves in how completely random [and messy] it was put away. That it happens every day is another great benefit. The person in charge of all that stuff certainly will think twice the next time she indulges in such childish ways. As for the costumes, the goblins suddenly found small paintbrushes and cans of paint, so I expect that they shall decorate themselves and whatever dresses happen to be nearby. Of course, Sarah's outfits will remain unharmed [and be the best of all of them], as well as all those not involved in this gross miscarriage of justice. Finally, as for the boy, I have special plans for him. He shall be receiving gifts from me [mostly in the form of bog water bombs]. He should sit in an oubliette for the whole night, forced to watch the whole play through a crystal, but it would not be as satisfying to me. I want him there to see his role be taken from him. You need not fear for Sarah, as I have already thought of that [and was already planning to do it long before this boy appeared]. She shall dance with royalty that night; I guarantee it. I look forward to our little trip Above. Tell me [at once] if anything else happens, or if the plans do not work. If all else fails, there are always goblins to do my bidding.
Your [Sprightly All-Powerful] Leader and King,
J.

Author's Notes: Don't you just love it when Jareth is being protective of Sarah and taking revenge upon anyone who tries to hurt her? It's a beautiful thing to see. His idea of "fair" is vastly entertaining. Next up is the musical! All kinds of fun [and maybe a little fluffy] moments coming your way soon. Thanks so much to everyone who has faved/followed/reviewed so far! I'm glad you are enjoying the story!
SVJohnson8721: Yes indeed! It is time for some recon, goblin style! This, however, is no mission impossible. Between the bonds of friendship and Jareth's need to protect Sarah [and maybe some goblins who like helping], this mission is happening, in a very big way. Now that song is stuck in my head, too. Thanks a lot for reading and for the review!
supermangageek23: Yay! I'm so glad you are loving it! :D I'm happy to write more. I hope you enjoy this little slice! Thank you for reading and reviewing!
