Jake groaned as he felt the world slowly come back into focus. He wasn't all that surprised to hear the steady beep of a heart monitor as he realized he was most likely in a hospital bed.

He gently pried his left eye open to test how harsh the light was. When he realized it was the late afternoon and the room was pretty dark, he fully opened his eyes, looking around for any sign of life. He frowned slightly as he realized he was completely alone.

Jake turned his head towards the heart monitor but his vision was slightly obstructed by a bandage that was covering the right side of his face and partly over his eye. Bandaging from the concussion most likely. He noticed the heart monitor was beeping normally and that there was a chair beside his bed. He smirked, knowing full well who most likely had been sitting in it.

Shifting experimentally to see how sore he was, he immediately regretted it as the pain from the burns all over his body surged and scratched the bandages that were all over his body. Jake let out a hurt yelp and he felt a particular bandage dig into his back and had to shirt to his right just to dislodge the damn thing.

"Jake!" Sherry exclaimed from the doorway as she held Hope. Jake looked over and smiled softly at her. "Hey supergirl." he said weakly, his throat dry and his voice raspy.

Sherry smiled broadly and quickly walked over to him, enveloping him in a warm hug. He grunted from the pain that shot up through him as Sherry wrapped her arms around his sore shoulder, but he didn't mind in the least. The pain was more than worth it. Immediately she shot up and frowned deeply at him.

"What the hell were you thinking going off on your own?!" she shouted at him as he flinched in both mild terror and amusement. Sherry mad was never a fun experience for him. "You could of gotten killed- you almost damn well did! Just because your Albert Weskers son doesn't mean you're indestructible Jake Muller! You're a father and a husband, you cannot just-"

She was silenced fast when he pulled her free arm to bring her closer and and tugged her down for a deep kiss. Sherry faltered slightly from the passionate kiss and was getting ready to shout even louder until she realized how scared she really was when Leon had handed her Hope unharmed and said he was going to go get Jake, only to get a call about 30 minutes later saying to get to the hospital.

Ever since Hope's birth, the couple were put under tremendous stress. If it wasn't Sherry dying, it was Hope being taken, and if it wasn't Hope, it was Jake nearly getting himself killed. Sherry sighed into Jake's mouth and kissed him back, decidedly more enthusiastic once she realized the families amazing luck in the past few days.

Jake smirked, knowing he had won the battle, though he quickly wiped it away when he pulled away from her, his eyes softening as he spotted his gorgeous daughter in his wives arms. He pouted up at Sherry in an attempt to get her to hand over Hope, and with an amused sigh, she went around the bed to sit in her chair and place Hope in his arms.

The pain was absolute hell where Hope was on his chest, but he simply bit his lip and ignored it. Had things gone down differently, he may not of ever even gotten to hold Hope ever again. "Hello princess." he said weakly. Hope simply cooed and stared wide eyed at her daddy. "I missed you so much." he whispered as he kissed her soft heard. His heart beat against his rib cage as he wiped the only forming tears from his eyes. He couldn't of been happier to have his beautiful wife and daughter there with him at that point.

It was at that moment that he reflected on his father. He wondered if Albert Wesker had even been truly happy in his life like Jake was right now, holding his perfect little princess, knowing that he would see her grow up along side the most amazing woman he had ever met. Had world domination really been something he thought would make him happy? Jake almost felt bitter when he thought of how his father could well of had a happy life with his mother and him, but it was the mans loss. Jake knew that from the minute he laid eyes on Hope, he could never walk out on her, and cause her the pain and loneliness Jake felt.

What about William Birkin? He loved Sherry, and yet, the thirst for power still got to him. Jake knew that feeling all too well. Being a soldier of fortune meant that money had a firm grasp on you, and honestly, its that greed that changed him so drastically. I'll never be that selfish greedy asshole ever again. Jake knew that all he ever needed to be happy with his beautiful Sherry and Hope.

Forget Albert Wesker and William Birkin's thirst for power. They were still the couples fathers, and Jake felt strange as he focused on Albert Wesker. He felt like he should forgive the man in someway. After all, all these years, Jake had cursed the mans very existence, and yet.. now he knew that if Hope ever hated him like Jake did towards his father, that would absolutely destroy him. Jake shook his head as he allowed his conscience to mull over this new state of mind. Maybe it was only right to let go of the unnecessary hate at this point and forgive his father. After all, he was dead and gone, so there was no way he'd ever get closure. This whole nice Jake thing was pretty weird.

"Have i lost you?" Sherry chimed in as she noticed the blank stare on Jake's face. Jake suddenly looked up and over to Sherry. "What?"

She snickered at his lost face and asked again, "What were you thinking about?" she asked with a smile.

Jake looked thoughtful for a moment before he replied. "Do you think i should forgive my dad?"

Sherry stared at Jake for a minute, not quite sure what exactly he meant. "Forgive your dad?" she echoed.

"Yeah.. I've been so angry with Wesker for so many years that i think now that i have my own family.. its not right to be angry with him anymore.. like i'm different and i should act different, and if i want to be different i need to let go of certain things.. "

Sherry smiled ever so slightly and placed her elbows on her knees, leaning in to Jake as she rested her chin on her hands. "I think someones growing up." she giggled as she noticed Jake blush ever so slightly.

He scoffed with a smirk and went back to rocking his daughter. "Yeah yeah.. its just pointless dragging around all that anger all the time.. "

Jake does have a point. Thought Sherry as her mind suddenly brought back memories of her mother, or rather, the shadow of her mother. Sherry remembered very distinctly the nights that she'd be sound asleep in bed and at around 2 am her mother and father would barge into their home, fighting with each other over some sample or something, blaming each other and in turn, waking her up. Or the mornings where the drive to school would be rather tense because her parents were definitely not morning people.

Though Jake was enough of an adult to forgive his absolutely in and out insane dad so Sherry felt it only right to forgive her mother for not always being there. At least she was there at all.

"Sounds good Jake." said Sherry as she took Jake's hand, gently stroking her thumb over his knuckles as she felt content in the silence that fell over them.

Though the silence quickly disappeared as Leon, Claire, Hunnigan, Jill, Chris, Piers, Rebecca, Billy and George filed into the room, one after the other.

Sherry gasped and laughed out loud when she saw that Leon and Chris had carried in a banner saying 'Congrats on not dying' and Claire, Piers and Jill even brought in balloons, Rebecca held a cake in her arms as she smirked at the couple.

"Whats all this?" Jake asked, his voice coloured with amusement.

"We know you guys had a rough couple of days." said Claire as she tied the balloons to the end of the bed. "So we thought we'd all get together after all this and celebrate, though Jake had to go and get himself hurt."

"Not my fault!" he said defensively, but everyone merely laughed. "Well listen guys, no that were all here." said Hunnigan as she folded her arms, smiling broadly at the group. "All things considered.. things could of went a lot worse.. we're all here, we have our health.. some of us." the group laughed to Jake's dismay. "But we all made it out just fine, so i say cheers to the happy couple and the end to bio-terrorism as Rebecca and her team can finally be left in peace to analyze Hope."

"Cheers!" the group shouted and immediately turned to hug each other. "Mommy!" Piers shouted over the groups cheering as he pulled on Jill's skirt. "Can-can i have some of the cake?" he asked timidly once he noticed the group had turned all focus on him, though quickly burst out laughing when they heard him.

Chris swiftly picked him up and bounced him up and down fast, which earned him an ecstatic giggle from his son. "Of course you can buddy, once you give Jake a hug." he laughed as he set his son down and he quickly ran over to Jake.

Jake smiled as he leaned over and wrapped an arm around Piers. "Thanks Piers, i feel better already." he smiled genuinely at the little buddy and once he was sitting up straight, he clapped his hands together and laughed. "Now lets have some of that cake!"

After an hour of the group sitting around Jake's bed, eating cake and happily chatting, Leon cleared his throat loudly which stopped the group from their talking and everyone turned their attention to Leon as he stood from his seat beside Claire.

"While we're all here, i guess i might as well just spit it out." he said nervously. The group raised their eyebrows in question as they looked to the DSO agent with curiosity.

"Me and Claire are engaged." he stated, smiling down at his fiancée, who blushed up at him and giggled slightly.

"Congratulations!" chimed the group as they stood to hug the couple. Chris smacked Leon's back and glared at him, but he smiled viciously. "You better take good care of my sister Kennedy, or i'll be coming for you."

"Don't worry Chris, i would never hurt her." he answered immediately, which made Chris' expression soften. He sighed happily and laughed. "You're gonna be my brother in law then!" he roared in excitement as he crushed Leon in a tight hug. The group laughed and couldn't of been happier for Claire and Leon.

"So who's your maid of honor?" Jill asked jokingly. Before she even got a chance to reply, Sherry chimed in. "Me obviously!" she giggled when Jill shot her a fake glare, letting out a giggle at her playfulness.

"Ladies! you can fight over who my maid of honor is when i take you two out for lunch tomorrow!" Claire threw her arms up and laughed at the two women. "Hunnigan and Rebecca though, i need you guys as my bridesmaids!"

Rebecca blushed and nodded swiftly. "I'd be honored Claire!" Hunnigan nodded with a smile. "And who am i to say no?" she laughed as the 4 girls squealed in unison over the excitement of the day.

Billy nudged Rebecca ever so slightly and whispered in her ear. "It'll be us next, as soon as the BSAA can officially clear my name."

Rebecca smiled and kissed his cheek. "You're already my husband Billy, i don't need a ceremony or some papers to tell me you're mine." she whispered back, kissing him on the lips.

"Don't lie Kennedy, you got her pregnant!" Joked Jake from his bed.

"Why, is that what happened with you and Sherry?" he deadpanned.

"Hey! she was pregnant after a year!" he returned. The group laughed at their playfulness and once again settled into friendly chatter. Jake knew at that moment that with the friends that surrounded him, he'd never be lonely in his life ever again.

Not when my families right here.

: 8 Months Later :

"I still can't believe they let Hope into such a prissy place like this." Sherry said in plain disbelief as she tipped Hope's bottle upward as she fed her. Jake smirked. "Well, since Chris knows the manager, i didn't think we'd have any trouble, besides, Hope's as quiet as could be, they won't even know shes here." he gently dabbed his napkin at the side of Hopes face as a small drop of milk ran down her cheek.

The couple were celebrating their 1 year anniversary at the restaurant where they had first gotten engaged. Though they had planned to have a romantic evening alone, at the last minute, Claire had gotten called away to a meeting at Terrasave over a meeting. When they called Chris and Jill, they were heading out to the hospital to get a check up on Jill's pregnancy, when they called Rebecca and Billy, they were both out at the gun range, and Leon was actually currently in south America for the weekend, checking on the DSO branch in Brazil as a personal favor to Hunnigan.

The couple did however call in a favor to Chris and here they were, eating a nice meal with their daughter. They were just finishing up when they spied Hope yawning and look at each other with a smile. "I think we better head home, she'll sleep in the car and then we can head to bed." Sherry said as she dabbed her mouth with a napkin. Jake nodded and wrapped his arm around her waist as they walked out.

Jake paid for their meal at the front desk. The woman that took Jake's money practically aww'd out loud at the sight of Hope, which the couple both smiled at. Hope always did have that affect on people, but then again, all babies did really.

As they drove home, Sherry glanced back to the back seat and smiled as she spied Hope fast asleep as predicted. When they arrived home, Hope was immediately put to bed by both of her parents. Once they were satisfied she was fully asleep, they both walked out to their bedroom and began to get ready for bed. Sherry had just finished off taking off her make up in the mirror when she felt Jake's soft touch on her hips and blushed.

She looked back at him and saw his ever present smirk on his face, shirtless with lose fitting black pyjama bottoms on as he leaned in and pressed a kiss to her neck. "Happy 2 year anniversary, Mrs. Muller." he whispered in his ear and he gently nipped on her earlobe. Sherry gasped softly and smiled as she stared blankly up at the ceiling. "Happy 2 year anniversary, Mr. Muller."

She squealed as Jake picked her up bridal style and whisked her back to their bed, kissing her soundly as he gently set her down and crawled on top, slowly undoing the bottoms on her pyjama shirt. Sherry smirked and brought her lips up to his ear, gently brushing them off of it as she spoke. "You know, this is how we ended up with Hope."

Jake turned to look at her and smiled. "Is that the night that did it?" he asked as he kissed her forehead, still undoing buttons, happy to see she wasn't protesting. Sherry shivered as her shirt was pushed from her shoulders and nodded, not missing the wicked gleam in his eye as he gazed at her.

"We got something amazing out of that night then." he murmured as he kissed her collarbone, and gently kissed a trail down her breasts. "Would it be so awful if it happened again?"

Sherry blushed deeply and slowly shook her head. "Not in the slightest." she answered breathlessly as he slowly took off her pants, effectively wiping her mind clean, and making her all his for the night.

The next morning.

"What does it say?" Jake asked impatiently as Sherry emerged from the bathroom. Sherry sighed. "The test has to be left for 2 minutes before we'll know Jake." she answered as he fidgeted, clearly anxious. "Don't get too excited Jake, with Hope we weren't even trying, but for all i know, with me.. dying and all, i probably can't have more kids." she answered with a shrug, pretending as if the thought didn't scare her beyond reason. She did want more children with Jake, but she was trying to act neutral in the situation, just in case it came back negative.

"Don't worry, it'll come back with exactly what we want." he said, tipping her chin up the meet his eyes. "Besides, all it took with Hope was one night we forgot to use protection, whose to say that's not the case here?" he joked, half serious.

"Haha Jake, you're just that good i'm sure." she brushed passed him to Hope's room, gently cracking the door open to check on their daughter who was still fast asleep. Smiling, she slowly pushed the door to just barely open and walked back to Jake, standing outside the bathroom still.

"Alright, we go in and we see the results together?" she asked him, a little nervous herself.

Jake took her hand in his and gave it a reassuring squeeze. He nodded firmly and placed a tender kiss on her head. "Alright Supergirl."

When they walked in, Sherry picked up the pregnancy test and the two slowly stared at the only now emerging result.

Sherry gasped. "Its.. "

: 1 month later :

"Twins?!" Asked Jake, his mouth hanging wide open as soon as the word fell from his mouth.

Sherry smiled ever so slightly and nodded. "Becky can't give me my next check up until after the wedding and honey moon next week obviously, but its definitely twins."

".. Twins?!" he repeated, still utterly shocked at the news. He had completely stopped rocking Hope all together at this point, which she definitely didn't seem to like when Sherry spied her lip trembling, indicating an oncoming tantrum. She quickly plucked the little blonde from his arms and began rocking her, smiling as her lip stopped and she smiled.

"You can say twins as much as you like Jake, it won't change a thing." she hummed as she smiled down at her daughter.

"Jesus thats.. "

"Very good news." Sherry finished with a slight giggle. "You wanted more kids, you're getting more kids mister Muller." Jake huffed at the use of his last name and sat on the couch, rubbing the back of his head as he watched his wife pace the room with their daughter.

"I know but.. 3 kids?" Jake swallowed thickly. "Hope'll only be like.. nearly 2 when they're born.."

Sherry shot him a confused glance. "Is that bad?"

Jake shook his head and smiled up at Sherry, showing the first real interest now. "No its not bad.. i'm being stupid again."

"How so?" Sherry asked, knowing very well what he was being stupid over, but she wanted confirmation, as it were.

"Just.. mini freaked out over twins, don't worry."

"Think you're gonna leave us when i have twins?" she snickered.

Oh, Jake had come clean about everything a long time ago, about a week after his last "mission" with the Puppet Master actually. To Jake's surprise, Sherry was actually pretty understanding, and wasn't too mad, saying that she was proud he at least told her of his hesitation. Though Sherry insisted on these little jabs here and there now, knowing Jake couldn't say a word without looking like an idiot.

"Shut up." he said after a few moments of silence. Sherry laughed out loud and placed a soft kiss on his forehead.

"That's cute." she retorted.

"So do we want to know the gender this time around?" he asked, standing and pulling her into a hug with Hope in her arms.

Sherry blushed and turned her head to place a kiss on his cheek. "I already know actually."

Jake quirked an eyebrow and stared down at her. "Well?"

Sherry smiled and let silence wash over them for a moment.

"Twin boys." she answered after he looked fit to bust.

Jake was about to speak when the words suddenly caught in his throat. Boys? He had wanted a son, he was actually hoping for a little boy now that he had his princess, but 2? He didn't actually think he'd feel like this, but he was even more happy now that he knew he was having 2 little boys.

"That's.." was all he got out, as he gazed into his wives eyes, his frown slowly turning to a savage smile. "That's so perfect.." he barely whispered, but Sherry caught it, and she couldn't help but giggle and kiss his passionately. Those 3 little words Jake said spoke volumes, and she knew that he was perfectly happy with this, even though she knew he would be.

"Albert and William." he announced.

"What?" Sherry asked

"That's what we should call them.." he trailed all, hesitant to finish his sentence, but he quickly continued. "I mean.. i know Chris and the others may not like the Albert part but.. we can't always run from our past Sherry, and no matter how you look at it, if it weren't for them and how off the chart insane they were, we would of never met, and we'd of never had our little girl, or the friends or life we have today."

He was right. He was so right.

Sherry and Jake had forgiven their fathers a long time ago for what they'd done, but they had to pay their long over due respects to the men now. They were the couples ghosts, and the fact that they were always going to be defined by their fathers that was something they were going to take to the grave, but at this point, the two had come to accept this.

Sherry knew in her heart what her father was, and Jake had long since buried the hatchet with Albert Wesker, so their was no reason to hide from their past. No, having twin boys was a sign to face their past, and make it into something better.

This was their chance to build a happy family and future for them, and for the couple to prove that they, and their children, were absolutely nothing like the evil sides of Albert Wesker, and William Birkin.

They were going to be strong and independent people, like Sherry Birkin and Jake Muller.
