* Yule *

Merlin sat in his room, hunched over the desk with a look of concentration on his face. The object of his focus had been the work of the weeks of patient tinkering in rare quiet moments and careful placement of tiny slithers of glass and crystal.

A knock on the door prompted him to look up for a second and call a welcome to enter, before going back to work.

Arthur entered the room, gently shutting the door behind him.

"How's it going? Are you nearly finished?" Arthur questioned.

"Almost, just got to put the spell on it and it should make it the right colour" Merlin smiled and held up the ornament and Arthur blinked as light scattered across the room. He looked at the beautiful hanging figures depicting some of the various magical creatures they had met, surrounding a much larger figurine of a dragon in flight.

"It's wonderful Merlin, Hunith is going to love it." Arthur praised and Merlin smiled his thanks before his eyes lit up with magic. The clear glass of the figurines slowly bled with colour, the dragon becoming a beautiful forest green.

"You're right, it does look good with the colours"
