Chapter 25

A/N: Damn, I am on a roll. I'm dishing out chapters fast these days!

Two and a half weeks after my birthday, and the second day of Christmas break, Izzy hosted some sort of get together. All of us - Clary, Jace, Simon, Camille, Magnus, herself, and me (or the lunch table gang, as I liked to call it; seeing that we barely hung out except during lunch) - were hanging around the house, some watching TV, others eating, and others just chatting.

I pulled my sister aside, next to the bowl of potato chips. "Why're we all here?" I hissed in her ear. I was hoping to spend the day with Magnus, but now, obviously, I could not.

"Magnus asked me to call everyone," she whispered back, shrugging. "Ask him."

I found my boyfriend sitting on a couch, eyes glued to the TV screen.

Quietly, I sat next to him, and snaked an arm around his shoulders. He glanced at me, smiling, but then his attention was drawn back the the big screen.

"Magnus?" I asked.

"Mmhm?"

"Why're we all here?"

"Why not? Isn't it nice to spend time with friends?" He still didn't take his eyes off the TV. Camille, who was sitting next to him, nodded.

"I agree. Friends are great." She was as engrossed in the show as Magnus.

"But you're not even acknowledging anyone's attention," I whined.

"No, no, Camille and I used to do this all the time. It's a very..." he paused, searching for the right word. "bonding... activity. I feel closer to her already."

I rolled my eyes. "But I'm bored," I moaned.

He looked at me for a full second, his eyes smiling. Then he grabbed the remote and turned the TV off, causing Camille to snap out a "Magnus!"

Magnus ignored her, instead he clapped his hands. "Ok, everyone, I know you all must be wondering why I had Izzy call you here this fine afternoon." Everyone floated closer to him.

"I have great news..." He laughed, and turned to me. "By the way, appy late birthday, Alec. This is your present."

"Wait, I thought you coming back here was my present?" I interrupted.

He shook his head. "As romantic as that may be, it doesn't really count, seeing that I shouldn't have left in the first place."

I opened my mouth to argue, but he cut me off.

"Ok, here it is." Magnus dug around in his pocket, and pulled out two keys, on different key rings.

Everyone was silent.

The Izzy squealed and jumped up, running over to Magnus and hugging him. "Oh my god Magnus, congrats! This is huge!"

Then, realization crossed Camille's face, and soon, both of them were squealing and hugging Magnus. She was soon followed by Clary.

The rest of us just stood there. "Wait, what happened?" Jace asked, looking as bewildered as I felt.

The girls had finally detached themselves from Magnus, who was grinning widely.

"I bought a new apartment!" he yelled. Understanding crossed all of our features, and soon, Simon and Jace were congratulating and shaking his hand too. I waited until everyone was done.

"Happy eighteenth, Alec," Magnus said quietly, smiling. He handed me one of the keys. "It's for us."

The room was quiet. I beamed at him, and before he could react, I leaned in and kissed him passionately. I heard Izzy squeal again (come to think of it, she did that a lot), but I didn't care, I didn't care that anyone was watching us. I just clutched the key tightly in one hand, the other in Magnus's hair, and I kissed him with a burning passion until we were both gasping for breath.

I drove Alec, Clary, and Jace to my new apartment, while Camille followed me, driving my car with Simon and Isabelle. The apartment was in Brooklyn, but it was near Alec's place and the school. I had already gotten my furniture in and the walls repainted, so it was ready for everyone to see.

I had spent weeks trying to find an affordable place to stay, and finally, I got lucky and found this place. It wasn't huge, but it was enough.

Soon, I was ushering everyone inside, savoring their gasps of wonder as they took it all in.

The walls of the living room were a metallic purple, and a fluffy pink couch sat in the middle of the room, a large TV in front of it. Everyone oohed and aahed as they walked around the place, taking in the furniture and the walls, and I let them explore. I grabbed Alec's arm and pulled him to our bedroom.

The walls were a bright blue, almost the exact color of his eyes. The big king sized bed sat in the middle, canary yellow sheets standing out against the rest of the room. There was a large walk in closet, for me mostly, and a dresser with a large mirror. A swivel chair sat on the corner, and my guitar leaned against the wall.

Alec gasped. I looked at him, suddenly nervous. "Do you like it? I hope it's not too flashy or anything, I tried to make it just right for both of us. See?" I tapped a wall. "No glitter on the walls."

He didn't say anything. I played with the end of my shirt, looking at the floor. "I mean, if you don't, them we could always -"

Instead of answering, he leaned over and kissed me sweetly, but full of love.

"It's prefect. Thank you." His voice was a whisper.

I smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too."

That night, I made spaghetti for dinner, and we watched Project Runway on my TV after.

Alec was curled up next to me on the couch, his head in my lap. I played with his hair, curling the jet black strands between my fingers. Suddenly, I had a thought.

"Alec?" I asked. He opened his eyes in surprise.

"You're acknowledging my existence while watching TV?" he asked incredulously.

"I've already seen this episode," I muttered. Then I cleared my throat. "We should get a cat."

Alec snorted. "Why?"

"I don't know," I mused. "Just a thought."

He rolled his eyes. "Ok." I knew he was just humoring me; he wasn't the biggest cat fan.

We were silent again, but I wasn't paying attention to the screen. I was watching Alec.

"Alec?" I asked again.

"Yes?"

"Have I ever told you that you're beautiful?"

He blushed, the color filling up his cheeks. I touched one, stroking his cheekbone with my thumb. He looked up at me, and I leaned down and kissed him sweetly. He sighed into the kiss before breaking away. I kissed his nose, his forehead, and the top of his head before working my was down again. Before I reached his lips, I pulled away and looked at him. His cheeks were still red, and he was biting his lower lip, unconsciously. His ocean blue eyes looked at me with a look of pure love.

Something inside me melted, and suddenly, I was kissing him like no tomorrow, leaning down to reach his lips. He didn't hesitate to kiss back. I picked him up, bridal style, and carries him to our room before laying him down on the bright yellow covers, my mouth not once leaving his. He moaned as I explored his familiar mouth with my tongue. I moved my mouth to his jaw, trailing searing hot kisses down it and onto his neck. He gasped as I sucked, leaving a mark.

Soon, we slowed down, and our kisses became soft once again.

I pulled away eventually, gasping for breath, and snuggled underneath the yellow covers. Alec joined me, our bodies intertwining. He buried his face into my chest, and we both drifted off to sleep, wrapped in each other's arms.

A/N: I liked that one :). And for all of you technical people out there, yes I know they're still in high school, and too young to live together, blah blah blah, but technically, they're both adults, and this is fanfiction, so who cares?

And btw, do I end chapters differently enough? I don't want to be too repetitive. Anyways I hope you liked it :) review please!
