A/N: Just to let you guys know, I'm going to start writing from Ron's POV as well as Hermione's in the coming chapters. Just feel that it fits to be honest :) Enjoy!

*Ron's POV*

That first night his daughter spent in this world, Ron never left her side, just like Dan Granger had told him. It was 3:00am on the 25th of April, and Ron and Hermione Weasley's first child had been born just four hours ago. Hermione had been so tired that she did nothing but sleep. Her eyes had flickered open a few times and she had smiled weakly but she would go back to sleep mere seconds later. Ron sat in a large chair in the corner of the room, his daughter held close to his heart. He was so tired, but he couldn't bring himself to put her down. She was so precious.

"I'm your daddy", he grinned down at her softly as he stood up and began to rock her gently from side to side. He bent down and kissed the top of her head ever so gently as he took in her scent. Ron had never felt so much love in his life as he looked from his beautiful daughter to his sleeping wife. "I'm the luckiest man in the world", he smiled quietly to himself as he looked back down at his baby girl. There was a small knock on the door before Jennifer entered the room, smiling softly at him.

"I see Hermione's still asleep. Bless her, she must be shattered", Jennifer smiled. Ron smiled softly at her before looking back down at the tiny bundle in his arms. "She'll want feeding now if you want to give it a go?". Ron nodded happily as Jennifer began to get a bottle ready. She passed Ron the small bottle of formula and he gently pressed the tip of the bottle against her lips. She soon began to suckle frantically, looking thoroughly content. "How are you feeling?", Jennifer asked.

"Absolutely fantastic", Ron grinned, watching over his daughter as she enjoyed her meal.

"Do we have a name yet?", Jennifer queried. Ron stopped for a moment to think.

"Honestly? We only really talked about boy names. Not that we didn't want a girl!", he told her. "We just, kind of assumed we were going to have a boy. But I'm happy either way", he smiled, sitting back down on the chair as he sat his tiny daughter up to wind her.

"I'm impressed. Most first time dads need help winding for the first time", Jennifer smiled as Ron rubbed the baby girl's back ever so gently as she gurgled.

"I've been doing a lot of reading", he chuckled. He lay her back down in his arms as he softly placed the palm of his hand on top of her head.

"You should probably get some sleep. Both of you. You'll have a lot of visitors in a few hours, I should imagine. Which reminds me. I found this on the floor outside", Jennifer told him handing him a small letter. "I'll leave you to get some sleep", she smiled as she left the room. Ron stood to his feet as his little girl slowly began to closing her eyes. He placed her gently in the cot that stood by Hermione's bed before tucking her in and giving her a small kiss on her forehead. Ron returned to the chair as he began to open the letter.

Ron,

We did wait, sweetheart but your father and I were a bit confused with how these muggle hospital's work and it had gotten really late. We'll be there first thing in the morning with the rest of the family.

We're so proud of you, Ron!

Give our love to Hermione.

Mum.

Ron smiled as he folded the letter and placed it on a nearby table.

"Ron?", Hermione croaked. Ron rushed to her side.

"Hey, you", he smiled, moving the strands of stray hair out of her eyes softly.

"Where is she?", she asked weakly.

"Sleeping in the cot", Ron smiled. Hermione weakly tried to lift her head up just enough so that she could see their daughter.

"She's- she's so beautiful", Hermione yawned.

"Yeah, she is. Just like her mum", Ron smiled as he kissed her softly. "I'm going to let you get back to sleep", he told her as he sat up, about to leave the bed.

"Ron", Hermione spoke, grabbing his wrist. "Sleep here? With me?", she smiled. Ron laid back down on the bed beside her as she rested her head on his shoulder. Ron kissed her fierce brown locks before the pair of them fell asleep.

*Hermione's POV*

The next morning, a few hours later to be correct, Hermione's eyes flickered open as she let them adjust to the space around her. Ron laid on his back beside her, looking content as he smiled in his sleep. Hermione slowly sat up in bed as she rubbed her eyes, immediately taking notice of the cot beside her and the tiny human that was wriggling around inside it. She slowly got to her feet and walked over to the cot, looking down lovingly upon her daughter. The baby girl's eyes were wide open and she seemed restless. Hermione lifted her out of the cot gently and held her in her arms, looking down lovingly at her just as Ron had done the night before.

"Hello", Hermione smiled warmly, taking her daughter's tiny hand within her own.

"Morning", Ron croaked. Hermione spun around to find Ron sitting up in bed, watching the pair of them.

"Good morning", Hermione smiled softly.

"What time is it?", Ron asked.

"7:46", she told him, looking back down at their daughter.

"Mmm, mum and dad'll be here soon, and she'll want feeding again", Ron smiled.

"Oh, will she now?", Hermione smirked.

"I'll ask one of the nurses to make up a bottle", he told her as he got out of bed, walking towards her.

"Thank you", Hermione smiled. Ron kissed her full of the mouth, running his fingers through her hair as he did so before leaning down to kiss his daughter on the crown of her head.

"I'll be back in a few minutes", he told her before leaving. Hermione walked around the room, holding her daughter close to her as she continued to look at her.

"I cant believe you're mine", she whispered, leaning down to kiss her forehead.

"Knock, knock", a voice came from behind. Hermione turned to see Ginny smiling softly at her.

"Come in", Hermione smiled.

"So what do we have?", Ginny asked eagerly as she closed the door behind her.

"A little girl", Hermione grinned. Ginny's smile beamed as she made her way closer to Hermione.

"She's so beautiful! Congratulations, Hermione", she smiled as she admired her new niece. "Can I?", she asked, gesturing to hold her. Hermione nodded as she handed the tiny girl over to her aunt. "Hey, there. I'm your Aunt Ginny", Ginny cooed, rocking her gently. Hermione sat back down on the bed as she watched Ginny with her daughter. "So, how are you feeling?", Ginny asked.

"Tired", Hermione groaned. Ginny chuckled. "Where's Harry?"

"Oh, he's just dropping James and Albus off at Neville's. He'll be here soon", Ginny smiled. Ron suddenly entered the room hold a bottle in one hand and a bouquet of roses in the other.

"Hullo", he smiled at Ginny.

"Hey. Congratulations, Ron! She's beautiful!", Ginny grinned.

"Takes after her mum then", Ron smiled as he made his way over to Hermione. "I got you these from that little gift shop. Got them for free when I told them we'd just had a baby", he grinned, handing her the bouquet of roses.

"Oh, Ron. They're beautiful. Thank you", she smiled, reaching up to kiss him. Ginny passed the baby girl back to Hermione so she could be fed.

"Mum and dad should be here soon. I think George and the others are going to wait until you're allowed to go home", Ginny smiled. Almost as soon as Ginny had finished speaking, Molly and Arthur quietly made their way into the room accompanied by Dan and Jean Granger. Molly immediately made her way towards Ron, throwing her arms around his neck and pulling him down to her height for a tight cuddle. Ron pulled away slowly, tears of joy almost forming in his eyes as he smiled down at his mother.

"Do you want to meet your granddaughter?", he asked her. Molly nodded happily, tears of happiness beginning to flow freely down her cheeks. Ron turned to Hermione as she passed their baby girl to him for Molly and Arthur to see her. Molly gently took the little girl out of Ron's arms and rocked her gently as she and Arthur smiled down at her.

"She's so beautiful", Molly almost whispered. Dan and Jean made their way towards Hermione as Jean gave her a tight hug, sitting on the bed beside her.

"I'm so proud of you, sweetheart", said Jean. Hermione smiled at her before turning to look at her father.

"How are you feeling?", he asked.

"A little tired, but brilliant. Thank you, dad", Hermione smiled.

"For what?", he asked.

"For last night. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't picked up the phone", Hermione continued to smile. Dan Granger walked towards her and kissed her on the top of her head, caressing her hair slightly as he did so.

"Dan?", Molly spoke, gesturing for him to take the baby. Dan looked down at the tiny bundle before taking her in his arms. He just stared at her for a moment, as if he expected her to do something spectacular but suddenly he began to smile softly as he looked back up at Hermione, his eyes rimmed with tears.

"I'm proud of you, princess", he told her happily. Ron joined Hermione on the bed, lacing his arm around her shoulders before kissing her on the cheek.

"Does she have a name yet?", Jean asked happily, taking the baby girl from Dan. Hermione shook her head.

"We haven't really had a chance to talk", she told them. A few short hours later, the couple's parents had left to spread the news of their new granddaughter whilst Ginny had stayed behind to spend some time with Ron and Hermione.

"I honestly can't believe she's here. Its as if you were pregnant for a life time!", she chuckled.

"Tell me about it", Hermione joked. All of a sudden, there was a small knock at the door before Harry entered. He immediately grinned at a content Ron, standing by the window rocking his daughter gently.

"I'm so happy for you two", he continued to grin.

"Want a cuddle with your niece?", Ron smiled. Harry nodded before meeting Ron half way to have his share of cuddles. Harry looked down at her lovingly, just as everyone else had done in the past couple of hours. Hermione understood why. She knew herself how long she and Ron had wanted this, what she didn't realize was that all of her family and friends knew too.

"I love that new baby smell", Harry chuckled. "She's so pretty, Hermione". Hermione blushed as she stood by Harry's side, looking down at her daughter and fussing over her creased baby grow. Jennifer suddenly walked into the room, smiling brightly as she always did.

"And how are mum and baby feeling?", she asked.

"Wonderful", Hermione smiled.

"Fantastic. Well I wont stay long, I just wanted to let you know that you're welcome to go home this afternoon", she smiled before going to leave.

"Jennifer", Hermione stopped. Jennifer turned to face her. "I just wanted to say- thank you. Thank you for everything", she smiled.

"You're more than welcome", Jennifer grinned before leaving.

Later that day, Ron, Hermione and their daughter made their way home. Hermione spent that first night sitting in the rocking chair in their daughter's bedroom, rocking with her baby girl slowly as she softly hummed nursery rhymes to her. There was a small knock at the door before Ron entered with the roses he had bought Hermione earlier.

"I thought these would look nice in here. What do you think?", he smile at her.

"I think they'd look perfect", Hermione smiled as she watched Ron put the flowers in a vase on the window sill, sighing contently. "A flower was offered to me, such a flower as May never bore. But I said I've a Pretty Rose-tree. And I passed the sweet flower o'er", she recited, going from watching Ron to smiling, once again, upon her daughter.

"What was that?", Ron asked, turning to face her.

"Just a poem I remembered", she continued to grin at her baby girl.

"That's it!", Ron smiled brightly, kneeling down beside Hermione.

"What's it?", Hermione questioned, raising her eyebrow.

"What about Rose?", Ron asked.

"Rose?", Hermione repeated, looking at Ron before looking down at their baby girl.

"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl", Ron smiled softly, placing the palm of his hand on top of his daughter's head. "What do you think?". Hermione took a moment to think before she looked up at Ron and smiled softly.

"I think it's perfect, Ron. Rose Weasley", she looked back down at the tiny bundle in her arms.

"Our Rose", Ron smiled, kissing Rose on the forehead.
