Welcome back once again everyone, I'm glad you're back, now this chapter is going to ba a little weird, the idea just sort of came to me and i'll let you all be the judges on whether it is good or not, also i would like to thank 'Xera Stark' for those of you who don't know, Xera is another fan-fic writer like myself, the odd thing is that it's not just one author, they are a brother sister combo in writing, which i find fa-nominal, anyway they are writing a story by the name of 'XERA's Flame.' and it is a great story, i am thoroughly enjoying it, but the incredible thing is, they are apparently fans of my story and went as far as to reference it in their story, so again thank-you to the both of you, as for everyone else i will be referencing something of their in my story in return, see if you can spot it, and enjoy.

Blakes Point of View.

It was dark... And cold...

The familiar feel of snow crunched beneath my feet, as well as the constant flow of a crisp wind.

A whisper in the distance caught my attention. "Blake."

I turned around to see... "Ruby?" To say i was surprised was an understatement.

"Blake?" She said sounding as confused as myself.

"Ruby, how did you get here?" I asked.

"What do you mean... What are you doing in my dream?" She replied scratching the back of her head.

"Your dream?... This is my dream." I said, now we both wore confused expressions.

"Alright quick, what did you do before you went to sleep?" She asked, hoping for some answers.

"Um... I... I was reading that book you just got me." I would have continued but i was cut off.

"XSRA's Flame?" She asked for confirmation.

"Yeah that's the one, loving it by the way, but then i showered, got dressed, walked to my bed, noticed you checking out my ass and went to sleep." I continued.

I then noticed Ruby had turned pink in her cheeks. "I didn't think you saw me." She said meekly.

"Ruby, I've always got one eye on you, of course I'm gonna notice." I replied, being sure to let a wink slip out as i took in the surrounding area. "What about you, what did you do?"

"Hm... While you were in the shower, Yang and Weiss got into an argument, apparently Weiss was sick of all the jokes Yang was throwing her way, because of the whole Jaune thing, then you came out, i looked at your butt, and went to sleep." She said, still with rosy cheeks.

We looked around for a but, trying to find something that would explain why we are here.

"Ruby... I've been here before." I said, as i saw the foot prints from my last visit.

"Wait what? You've been here before? When? and How?" She asked frantically.

"I had a dream a few nights ago and i was talking to..." I stopped myself.

Ruby raised an eyebrow. "Talking to who?"

I let out a sigh, knowing i couldn't lie to my beautiful Rose. "Your... Your mother visited me here."

Rubys smile had disappeared, she now wore a 'Not possible' look.

"Blake... My mother is dead..." She said, no signs of emotion in her voice.

"Ruby... She told me to talk to Ozpin..." I was again stopped.

"Blake stop." She said, almost sounding like a threat.

"She wanted me to tell him something..."

"Blake i mean it, Stop!" She said sounding even more threatening.

" A Rose by any other name..."

Silence fell.

Ruby was breathing heavily, her fists were clenched and her eyes were shut tight, as if not believing me, so i continued.

"I spoke to Ozpin... Told him what Summer told me... He seemed shocked, as if he had been waiting for this." At that moment i felt a fist connect with my mid-rift, not a painful hit, but enough to shock me.

Next thing i know Ruby was flailing her fists back and forth on my body, like a child throwing a tantrum.

"My mother is dead Blake." She said between tears, which had begun to flow down her cheeks. "I was at her funeral... I visited her grave whenever i could... If she was alive, I WOULD KNOW!" She cried, dropping to her knees.

I too dropped to my knees, I pulled Ruby close and held her tight, tears flowing down her cheek, covering my arm which now rest on her shoulder.

"Ruby... I'm sorry." I said quietly, hoping to what ever great power their may be that she didn't hate me.

She tried to speak, but her body wouldn't let her, she had switched from a few tears, to full on break down crying.

A few tears formed in the corners of my eyes, just from seeing how upset she was.

"Ruby... I know this is difficult... But please, just say you don't hate me." I sobbed into her arm.

Her arm which had quickly moved in the swift action, and struck me across the face, with an open palm.

My cheek was throbbing and had already begun to turn red.

I looked up at the crimson haired girl, who now stood above me.

"Blake... How could you ever think that... That I'd hate you." She said, clear pain in her voice.

"Ruby I..."

"Blake, there is nothing in the world that can make me hate you and it actually really hurts that you think I would." She held out her hand.

I took her hand, she pulled me up and wrapped her arms around me.

"Never think i could hate you Blake... Never."

"Never again." I whispered.

"This sight warms my heart." A voice came from seemingly nowhere.

"Who was that?" Ruby asked, braking the hug.

"Welcome back Summer, Do you want to say hi to your daughter again?" I asked, halfheartedly.

I glanced around, but couldn't spot her anywhere, however once i saw Rubys face become pale and shock filled, Apparently Summer thought it would be amusing to appear directly behind me.

I turned around and saw a beautiful woman, wearing a white hooded cloak, much like Rubys own red cloak, un undoubtedly handed down from her mother at some point in the past.

"Hello again Blake, it is good to see you are well." She said softly, her gaze then shifted from me and to the red hooded teen behind me.

"Hello Ruby..." A bit anticlimactic in my opinion, but at least she spoke.

I was expecting something from a movie to happen, i thought Ruby would ignore her mother for disappearing for so long, I thought she would hate her for being gone for so long, but as always Ruby amazed me.

She sprinted past me in a cloud of Rose petals, when i followed the trail with my eyes, i was greeted by the sight of Ruby in her mothers arms, tears streaming from her eyes and down her cheeks, Summer stood there and held her weeping daughter.

Ruby tried to speak, but her mouth rejected anything that wasn't cries of joy.

"Oh Ruby... I'm sorry for leaving you alone for so long... But... I see you are not alone anymore." Summer gestured to me, as Ruby turned to look at me.

The next thing i know, Ruby had a hold of my hand and was pulling me to her mother, She then embrace me and Summer in her arms, admittedly, a tear or two formed in my eyes.

"Mum... What happened... Where did you go?" Ruby asked through tears.

"Ruby do not fret, all of your questions will be answered soon... Maybe sooner than you think, depending on one thing." Summer used the pro-noun game so i had to ask.

"Depending on what?"

"Did you inform Professor Ozpin, of what i told you?" She asked seeming more serious than previously.

"Uh... Yeah i told him 'A Rose by any other name." I replied and noticed her take a deep breathe.

"Well girls... I suggest you hold on tight."

I would have questioned her but the wind began to build dramatically, the combination of the snow and wind made it near impossible to see, I reached out and took Rubys hand which she gripped firmly, Summer however just stood there, instinctively i grabbed her arm and held tight as the wind began to lift us off the ground beneath us, we continued to gain altitude when a voice called out.

"It's good to see you again Mrs. Rose."The voice was familiar.

A light shone bright, so bright it forced my eyes shut.

RWBY's Dorm Room.

I opened my eyes and quickly took in my surroundings.

I was laying on the floor, holding Rubys hand, who lay next to me, her eyes were still closed, upon further inspecting i noticed Professor Ozpin standing above us, his whole body was pulsing with his Aura, a jaded green glow filling the room, I looked down and saw he had his left hand plunged deep into Rubys chest, not perversely but it actually looked as though his hand was inside her chest.

As i looked down i saw that his right hand was embedded in my own chest, I was about to scream out 'What is happening?' When a blinding white light filled the room, again forcing my eyes shut.

After what felt like several minutes, my eyes finally cleared and what i saw, both shocked and confused me.

There was an arm sticking out of my chest, Rubys too, Ozpin had a hold of both hands and was pulling with great force.

"YANG, WEISS, NOW!" He shouted.

Upon those words i saw Yang take his left arm and begin pulling with her own might, as well as Weiss doing the same to his right arm.

There was another bright flash, only this time i could just barely keep my eyes open, from what i could make out, the three that stood above myself and Ruby were pulling someone out of us, as strange as that may sound.

A few tugs later and a woman in white stood before us.

I was at a loss for words and instead just sat their with my mouth open like an idiot.

"Easy kitty, keep your mouth open like that and you'll catch a fly... Or a mouse." Yang said between giggles.

Not surprisingly that was enough to snap me out of my daze, enough for me to glare at Yang with utter annoyance. "Is that really necessary right now Yang?"

She smiled in response. "There's always time for jokes Kitten." She mused.

I however was not amused. "Professor Ozpin what is going on?"

As if on que, Ruby opened her eyes and looked around frantically, questions flowing through her face. "What happened?... Where are we?... Who is..."

She stopped when she saw the woman in the white cloak before her.

"M-Mum?" She froze. "W-What's H-Happening?"

"Perhaps it would be best if we discussed this in my office?" Ozpin spoke up finally.

Ozpins Office.

He opened the door and we all followed him in, although... We weren't alone.

In the room stood two students, a boy and a girl.

The boy wore a green sweatshirt with green sweatpants, he also had messy black curls which fell upon his face and in all... He was admittedly rather attractive, there was a warm feeling to his presence... Or maybe it just felt that way because the girl that was with him unnerved me a little.

The girl who sat next to him, she wore a purple skirt with white snowflakes on it, she wore a violet purple choker necklace, the color matched her vibrant eyes, although it was hard to see her eyes considering she was bouncing from wall to wall as if she was in a sugar high.

'Oh god... Another Nora' I thought to myself.

"Ah Mr. Stark, Mrs. Xerious, if it is alright with the two of you, we can continue on this matter later." The two nodded and stood to leave.

As we walked past them i could have sworn the boys eyes changed color, but that didn't faze me right now.

The office door closed, indicating the other two had left.

"I'm sure you all have many questions." Ozpin stated simply.

"You got that right." Ruby replied.

"Well then i should start from the beginning... Many years ago, Summer Rose was on a mission to save all of Vale." He stopped to let everyone adjust to the information.

"There was a man... He went by 'Delphinium.' he was a dangerous man, he tried to destroy all of Vale for misfortunes in his past, he wasn't the best at fighting, but is tactical abilities were off the chart, unfortunately for him the will of Huntsmen and Huntress' overwhelmed his forces and he was eventually cornered, by non other than Summer Rose." He gestured to Summer.

"There was a miscalculation on our half though, he had come across a ritual i thought long forgotten, the ritual... If performed right can provide someone with limitless power for the duration of 72 hours... Plenty of time to destroy Vale, however if the ritual is performed incorrectly, the one who performed it is provided with so much raw Aura, that they eventually burn from the inside out... Summer here, saw that Delphinium had miss performed a crucial step in the ritual and sensed the immediate danger to Herself, Professor Goodwitch and myself who were all there at the time." He stopped to take a sip of his ever present coffee mug.

"Summer sacrificed herself to save Glynda and myself... It was a very noble action to take... Unfortunately that was the day she died..."

"Hold on..." Ruby interrupted. "I thought Virginia killed you mum." Ruby stated looking confused.

"Ruby... Do you honestly think someone as pathetic as Virginia could kill me?" Summer retorted, though her voice was soft.

Ruby then looked at me. "Thank-you Blake..."

"For what Ruby?" I replied.

"You stopped me from doing something... Something i would regret." She stopped and i thought back to that night.

Ruby had Crescent Rose's blade to Virginias throat, in a guillotine fashion, I talked her down, stopped her from... Killing Virginia.

I wrapped my arm around Ruby and kissed her forehead. "Professor please continue."

"Very well, In her actions of sacrifice, myself and Glynda thought it only right to dedicate the rest of our live's in attempting to restore her life." He stopped for another sip.

"We searched for years to find some way of restoring her life, but it was only when you two..." He gestured to myself and Ruby. "When you two expressed your feelings, the connection between you two was so powerful that it gave me an idea, When you had both fallen to sleep, i used my Aura to connect your unconscious minds, the combination of both your minds and Rubys pain for Summer was enough to generate an image of her in your sleep."

*Sip*

"Summers consciousness planted a statement that only me and Glynda knew."

"A rose by any other name." I said.

"Correct, the next time you both fell asleep, we connected your sub-conscious and Summer appeared again, after she appeared, i reached into your Auras and removed her from your thoughts and into reality." He finalized.

We all sat in silence for what felt like hours until the silence was broken.

"So does this mean... You're here to stay?" Ruby asked, looking at her mother.

Summer looked at Ruby before answering. "Of course I'm going to stay Ruby... I have left you alone for too long, and I'm going to make it up to yo..." Ruby stopped her.

"Mom... You sacrificed yourself to save two companions, all the while saving Vale... You don't have to make up for anything." Ruby said sounding surprisingly grown up.

Summer pulled Ruby into her arms and spoke softly. "My little Rose is all grown up."

"Well, it's getting late, i think you should all hop off to bed." Ozpin said before ushering us out of the room.

Hallway.

"So Mrs. Rose, where are you gonna sleep tonight?" Yang had finally spoken up.

We all stopped when we all realized, non of us had any idea where she would sleep... No-one except Ruby had an idea.

"You can stay in our Dorm." She smiled widely.

We all thought for a moment. "Ruby i couldn't intrude on your room like that." Summer replied simply.

"Nonsense, you can have my bed and i'll bunk with Blake." Again smiling widely, though more in my direction.

"Yeah I'm ok with that." I reply.

"Well only if you wouldn't mind Blake." Summer said rather meekly.

"Of course Mrs. Rose, your staying with us tonight." I reply with a smile.

RWBY's Dorm Room.

Yang had fallen asleep with ease, Weiss slept with elegance, Summer slept like she had not slept for over thirteen years, Blake and Ruby slept in each others arms, and everyone slept with a smile on their face.
