"Dennis, I can't believe the progress you've made since you've been here. My son, I'm proud of you."
"That means a lot to me, mom."
The young warrior embraced his mother, and tears filled her eyes.
"We'll talk again soon, and thanks for the gear and weapons."
Danielle smiled at him as she bestowed a tiny kiss upon his forehead. Dennis took his duffel bag, which had his vest, boots and other clothes that were given to him, and he slung it over his shoulder.
"Take care, you hear me?" She told him as he floated into the air.
"I will, mom."
Dennis had finished his training and he was now heading back to the tower. The weighted gear he had on made him fly slower, and it made it hard to ignore how heavy his body felt. Meanwhile, back at the tower, Raven was laying in her bed. Her fingers were positioned carefully between her legs as she used them to toy with her sensitive bud. Her loneliness had caused her to masturbate, and even though she was quite unfamiliar with it, it gave her some sexual relief since Dennis was unable to do it for her. She felt a familiar energy heading towards the tower.
"Could it be?"
She slipped her covers off of her body, and she looked over to the window. Even though he looked entirely different with the cape and head-piece, she knew exactly who it was.
"He's here, yes! He's home, finally."
Raven took a moment to look down and notice the provocative night gown she had on. She quickly switched into her usual leotard and cape, and she rushed to the door to greet the young hero. Upon laying eyes on him, her jaws dropped. The head-piece kept his hair out of his face. Now, she could see the definition in his manly face, and the dimples she never noticed in his cheeks. His cape covered his shoulders, and the arm bands on his arms made his biceps look toned. She covered her mouth with her hands upon noticing the cargo pants and moccasins that he wore. His new attire had showed her things that she's never even noticed about Dennis.
"Well hello to you too, Raven."
"Where did you get all of this?"
"Mom made it for me. Everything accept my tank top is weighted." The hero said, stepping into the corridors.
He took off his head-piece, and he placed it on her head, along with his weighted cape. She was instantly pulled to the ground.
"How could you even fly home in this? It's so heavy."
"Lady, I had to train in this. Come on, I have to show you what else she got me."
Dennis took his cape, and he let Raven keep on the head-piece. They ran to his room, and he closed the door behind them.
"Jesus, the fact that you could even-"
Dennis cut her off with a kiss, one that told her that he missed her so much, and that he was happy to be with her again.
"Look at this."
Dennis tossed his duffel bag onto his bed, and he showed her the bulletproof vest, along with the boots, shoulder pads, and shades.
"This is what I'll wear on the missions. What I have on now is for training."
Raven grabbed the vest, and she dropped it onto her foot. It was so heavy, that she couldn't move it. The young teen picked it up, and he sat it on the bed, beside the weapons he were given.
"Ms Dani designed all of this for you?"
"Yep. Now I'll be ready for anything."
There were gentle knocks at the door, and Raven opened the door, to find Starfire, Robin, and Cyborg standing there.
"Friend! You have returned!"
Dennis wrapped his arms around the alien princess' shoulders, and she too felt the weight of his suddenly heavier body.
"I like the new look, man. You look like..."
"Like Raven, but more rugged." The leader finished.
"Speaking of the devil, we're back together."
Raven walked over to him, only to be pulled close to him by his muscular arms. Dennis stepped aside to show his team everything that was given to him. Cyborg picked up the battle hammer, while Robin touched the bow and arrows. Starfire grabbed his battle-axe, and she said, "Friend, you now look like the Vorgsavons of Tamaran."
Starfire complimented his combat look, and Dennis proceeded to tell them of his weighted gear.
"Everything except my tank top is weighted. If I'm wearing full gear, I'm a wopping seventy-five pound heavier than I actually am. What I'm wearing now is what I will wear in training. And what you see on my bed is what I'll wear on the missions."
"Dudes! There's a party and I'm not invited?"
Dennis looked over at Beast Boy, and he smiled warmly.
"Nice make-over."
"Try this on."
Dennis put his vest onto Beast Boy, and then he put the shoulder pads onto him. Next, he put the head-piece and the cape onto him and the green teen fell over, pinned to the ground underneath all the armor.
"Let me find out that you tried something so foolish behind my back again. And remember, I train in those weighted clothes."
Without further words, Dennis helped Beast Boy to his feet, and the shapeshifter said, "I'm sorry, ok? I have Terra now, so Raven's all your's."
"You're lucky I didn't give Gabrielle a call after hearing that. After all, she is my best friend, and best friends don't keep secrets."
"Ok, ok. Just don't tell her. You and Raven can hit it off, I won't do do anything."
"I didn't plan anything less than that, friend."
The team sat in pure shock, as Dennis had manipulated Beast Boy into not only leaving Raven alone, but approving of their relationship. And once they all left, Raven still looked at him in shock.
"Batman taught me to get into people's minds."
"I see. I didn't know that you were the manipulative type."
"I'm not, and I hope that you didn't expect me to just let him slide with that stunt he pulled."
Meanwhile, Beast Boy was re-thinking everything he had done to Dennis. He concluded that he'd rather have the strong teen as a friend rather than an enemy."
"Yo, BB!" Cyborg said as he called out to his friend.
The robotic teen rushed over to the green one and alerted him of the next mission.
"I hope you like traveling, because we have problems overseas."
"I hope you like travel buddies, because I'll be damned if we go overseas without back up." Beast Boy said.
"Titans east are on standby, and so are the other's. Now let's go."
Meanwhile, Dennis switched into his battle suit.
"That suit...it makes you look..."
"So I've been told. Let's focus on the mission for now, you can rip it off of me when we get back." The hero said as he rubbed the young sorceress' face.
The team made it to ops rooms to get the details.
"Now, this fight is definitely one for the history books."
The team knew of their battle, but not of what they would be faced with during their battle.
