Somebody To Die For
Chapter 25
Will didn't want to upset her, so he pushed on. "After the incident in the town, and after she had abandoned Judith, can you tell us when the next time you seen Lori was?" he asked.
"That would be today." Anna said quietly.
Will nodded. "No further questions."
"Your honour I'd like to question, Anna?" Mrs Smoke asked sweetly with a fake.
"Go ahead." The judge said calmly.
Mrs Smoke walked towards where Anna was sitting. "Miss Stewart, I believe that shortly after Lori and Rick were divorced, you entered into a relationship with Rick Grimes. Were you looking for an opportunity beforehand to get Lori... out of the way?"
"No Rick and I didn't start a relationship until we were on the road." Anna said trying to stay calm as Rick felt anger run through him.
"Can you tell the court what Mr Walsh and your brother did to you?" Mrs Smoke asked coldly.
Anna frowned at her. "I don't think that has anything to do with this case," she said firmly. "But if you must know, they raped me, beat me, and tortured me, until I was rescued," she answered bravely.
"What is your relationship with Judith?" Mrs Smoke asked sweetly.
"I treat her like my own daughter," Anna said firmly. "I love her the same as I would if she was my biological child. We've taught her how to talk, we've cared for her, and I love her, and would do anything to protect her," she stated.
Mrs Smokes nodded "Your honour I'd like to call Theodore Carnes to the stand?" She asked coldly to the judge.
"You may." The judge granted.
T-Dog got up and walked to the stand where he glared at Rick and Anna. ""Please stand. Raise your right hand. Do you promise that the testimony you shall give in the case before this court shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?" the judge asked.
"Yes, your honour."
"You may sit down." The judge said and T-Dog sat down in the chair as Mrs Smokes walked over to him calmly.
"T-Dog what was your impression of Anna?"
"I didn't like her," T-Dog answered flatly. "I thought she had broken up Rick and Lori and she had ruined the group. She tore the family apart."
"Why do you think she tore apart the group?" Mrs Smokes asked.
"Because she couldn't keep her nose out of Lori's business." T-Dog answered.
Will walked over to T-Dog. "Theodore, why did you and Lori lie to the group when you told them you believed Shane was dead? Had they planned it all along to attack Rick's group?"
"We planned to attack Rick and the group but Shane thought of a better way to get rid of Anna and Bailey." T-Dog said firmly.
"Which was?" Will asked calmly.
"To kidnap them and bring them to Woodbury," he said with a sinister smile. "We let Shane and Connor rape her and beat her, instead of killing her. We thought she would suffer more that way."
"And was Lori included in this 'we'?" Will asked disgusted.
"Yeah, she wanted Anna to pay for ruining her marriage with Rick and making Carl hate her." T-Dog said and Will nodded.
"No further questions your honour." Will said disgusted.
"I have no questions either." Mrs Smokes said calmly.
"Alright, we'll let the jury come to a decision," the judge decided as everyone sat down and waited as they decided what was happening. Five minutes or so later one of the men stood up. "Have you reached a decision?"
"Yes your honour," the man answered. "We believe full custody should go to Rick Grimes and Anna Stewart."
The judge nodded. "Full custody of Judith Maeve Grimes is awarded to Rick Grimes and Anna Stewart."
Rick pulled Anna into him as they both cried tears of happiness and joy as a woman gave them a very happy Judith.
"Dada, mama, Larl." She cooed as she snuggled into them and they hugged Will tightly as he led them to a car they could take.
"Thank you."
"No problem," Will said with a smile. "As far as I'm concerned she's back where she belongs," he said softly.
"We won't forget this, thank you." Rick said moved as they got in and drove off.
"I'm so glad we got her back," Anna said happily as she bounced Judith on her lap while they drove back. Judith was cooing and snuggling into them happily with a smile on her face.
Rick smiled. "See? I told you everything would be alright."
"I know you did and I'm glad." She said smiling as she cuddled Judith and she smiled at her parents as they pulled into the driveway.
They got out of the car as they saw Carl run over to them, his face happy as he hugged them all tightly.
"WE GOT HER BACK!"
"We sure did son," Rick said happily as he pulled him in for a family hug. "We told you everything was going to be OK."
"Arl!" Judith cried happily, clapping her small hands together as she hugged her big brother.
"Hey there Judy." Carl said hugging her as the others ran outside to hug them all with Aoife running towards Judith happily, her dark brown curls falling over shoulders.
"JUDY!" She screamed happily.
Aoife pulled Judith into a hug and everyone smiled at them as they all made their way back inside.
"We're so glad you got her back," Hershel said softly. "We've been thinking about the two of you the whole day."
"We were as well, it was rough." Rick said as they all sat in the living room and happily talked to each other with Judith playing with Carl and the other kids.
"Pebbles is giving birth." Rose said delighted.
"Dammit, more animals?" Merle asked with a frown. "We gotta stop 'em from breeding, seriously. This place is gonna be crawlin' with pets soon."
Hershel stood up and hurried over to where Pebbles was on the floor. "Too late now," he mumbled to Merle.
Soon Pebbles had given birth to three girls and four boys who were all healthy, they mewled at them happily and Rose was smiling.
"Merle you aren't going to kill them are you?" She asked worried.
Merle shook his head. "No, I ain't kiddo," he said softly. "But we gotta be careful with the animals. Something might happen to the house and we'd need to be on the road again. And it sure as hell wouldn't be easy on the road with a hundred cats and dogs," he explained.
"There's seventeen RV'S in the garage." Sam said making everyone stare at him and Felix who sitting beside his owner.
"What did you say?" Daryl asked stunned.
"I said there's seventeen RV'S in the garage," he repeated with a slight shrug. "I thought you all knew."
"How is that even possible?" Maggie asked with a frown.
"Let's go take a look." Rick said and they all went outside to where the garage was and sure enough there were seventeen RV'S.
"Holy shit!" Daryl said stunned.
"Must have belonged to the owners or something," Glenn said as he looked around. "Why the hell would anyone need seventeen RV'S?"
"Christ knows," Merle mumbled. "Ain't just about the travel though. If we have all these animals, we'd need to find a house that would be big enough for them all and us, and we'd need to keep them all safe, and have food and supplies. It's hard work, that's all I'm saying."
"The kittens are here now Merle, we can't do anything about it," Hershel said with a faint smile. "Let's just worry about anymore problems when the time comes."
"Doesn't your brother like animals?" Sam asked Dylan and Daryl as they all headed back into the living room where they lit the fire in the fireplace.
"He doesn't seem to like animals." Katy said sad.
"He does like animals," Beth assured them with a small smile. "He's just worried what will happen them all and us if something happens to the group. We might not have the luxury of this house forever," she said softly. "We need to think about what would happen if we were forced out, that's all."
The children all nodded and went to play with the animals while Rick and Anna played with Carl, Judith and Aoife.
Dean was crawling around on the floor and cooed at Will happily.
"It's so nice to have her back," Anna said softly as she leaned against Rick and smiled down at Judith. "It's almost like she was never away anywhere."
"This is where she belongs," Rick said with a smile as he wrapped his arms around her and they watched their kids.
Dean crawled to where Judith was and cuddled into her as the others watched with smiles on their faces.
Dean kissed her on the cheek and snuggled into her as they both cuddled along with Aoife.
"Daryl can you give me a piggy back?" Dylan asked shy.
Daryl chuckled. "Alright, kiddo, let's go outside," he said. "Once around the garden and that's it."
Rick and Anna smiled as they watched them go. Anna stood up and went into the kitchen where Patricia and Carol were making dinner. "Can I help with anything?" she asked, rubbing her stomach.
"You can help stir that pasta but take it easy honey." Patricia said as they all cooked and Daryl picked Dylan as he gave him a piggy back.
"WHOO!" He yelled happily as a smiling Bailey and Dean watched along with Will, Merle and Beth.
"So what are the plans with Woodbury?" Morgan asked Rick as he came in from watch. "Do we attack them? Or wait until they kidnap one of our group again before we do anything about them?"
"We attack them, we need to end this." Rick said and everyone nodded.
"What if something happens again?" Anna asked him worriedly.
"It won't," Rick assured her. "We'll make sure we have everything we need, and we'll come up with a firm plan. Plus, we've killed half of their men already; it shouldn't be too difficult to take out the rest."
She nodded and they all went into the kitchen to eat their dinner and talked quietly to each other as they all ate.
"So who will be going?" Will asked.
"Well, it's up to whoever wants to go," Rick said quietly, as he ate dinner. "I'm going, I want to have a little conversation with Nate," he said before looking at Anna. "But I want you to stay here, and look after that little one," he said, as he rubbed her stomach.
Anna nodded and held his hand tightly as they ate the pasta and Daryl looked at Bailey, Aoife and Dean before speaking.
"I'm going as well; I wanna have a chat with Nate too." He said firmly.
"I'll go," Merle offered as he ate a piece of meat and rubbed Beth's arm gently.
"And me," Glenn volunteered with a small smile.
"We'll go in the morning." Rick said as they all finished eating and Bailey went with Maggie to wash the plates.
"Are you sure you're going to be alright?" Anna asked Rick worriedly as they sat down on a sofa. "You're still sore from last time. And if you don't come back to me this time, Rick, I swear to god I'll come and get you myself."
"I'm alright Anna I promise." He assured her as they saw Judith crawl over and he picked her up as she giggled at them.
"Hey, there sweetie," he said softly as he stroked her tufts of hair. "I hope you're behaving now," he said with a smile.
"Dada," she cooed softly as she cuddled into him.
"Yes Judy, I'm your dada." He said holding her close as Anna and Carl curled into him and they all fell asleep.
"I'm glad they got Judith back." Bailey said softly.
Carol smiled as she picked up a blanket and wrapped it around the Grimes' family. "They're all back together again," she said happily.
Everyone smiled at that as they all went to bed and Bailey changed Dean's diaper before she got him changed for bed.
She set him down in the bed and changed into her sleeping clothes before climbing in with him. "Goodnight, angel, mommy loves you," she said softly.
Dean cooed at her as he fell asleep and Daryl came in as well with Aoife as they all got into bed and settled down.
He prayed everything was going to go well at Woodbury tomorrow and this wouldn't be the last time he would see his family.
The next morning everyone was ready with the men carrying their guns and weapons with them as the women made sure they had everything.
"Be careful, please." Bailey said kissing Daryl.
Daryl nodded as he picked up his crossbow and said bye to the children, while Merle said goodbye to Beth, and Glenn to Maggie.
Anna hugged Rick tightly, along with Carl and Judith. "I meant what I said if you didn't come back," she said softly as she kissed him gently. "Please be careful Rick and come back to us in one piece. I love you."
"I love you too, I'll be back." Rick promised as they got into the car and drove off.
"Let's finish this." Daryl said as they drove on the road.
"It's about damn time," Merle said as they drove the familiar road to Woodbury. "Once they're gone we can have a family in peace."
"What's the plan when we get here, Rick?" Glenn asked.
"We sneak in and take Nate and if the people cause trouble then we'll deal with them." Rick said as they pulled up and got out of the car.
"Wonder where Nate is?" Merle asked as they looked around the village. It was fairly quiet, considering they, or walkers, had already killed half of the men. "We should have brought Liam to give us the layout."
"Let's try that house," he said, as he pointed to a smaller house near the main entrance with a dim light inside. "That's where he was when he took me."
They all nodded and headed inside when they heard moaning and grunts coming from upstairs and they went up the stairs where they saw that one of the bedroom doors was open.
"HARDER NATE, PLEASE FUCK ME HARDER!"
"No prize for guessing who that is," Rick said as he scrunched his face up in disgust.
"Nah, you know what, I'm fuckin' sick of this," Merle growled. "I say we take out that bitch too, otherwise she's only gonna cause more problems."
"You're right." Rick said sighing as they ran into the room where they saw Nate fucking Lori from behind, slapping her ass.
"More do you want more?"
"FUCK!" Merle growled as he fired at Nate's back, knocking him to the floor. "Pair of dogs," he spat, as Nate fell backwards.
"YOU REDNECK BASTARD, I'LL KILL YOU!" Lori screamed as she pulled out a knife and charged towards Merle.
Rick pulled out his gun and aimed it at Lori's head. "NO, LORI! ENOUGH!" he snapped. "We're fed up of you. No more harassing me, or Anna," he spat harshly. "This ends now!"
"I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL, RICK AND I HOPE ANNA DIES GIVING BIRTH TO YOUR SPAWN!" Lori screamed as T-Dog stormed in giving her time to escape and grab her clothes as she fled with T-Dog.
"Fuck," Rick growled as he watched them go. "Too late. We'll get them soon," he assured the men. "Let's just deal with Nate for now."
They all nodded and grabbed Nate who struggled with them as they shoved him into the boot and drove off.
"I'm gonna kill him for what he did to Bailey." Daryl growled.
"I think we're all going to kill him," Rick said as they drove back to the house silently, wondering where Lori and T-Dog had escaped to.
They got out and dragged Nate out oof the boot of the car as the others watched and kicked him about.
"I FUCKED YOUR WIFE!" He snarled at Daryl.
The men dragged Nate inside and down to the basement where they tied him up and Rick started to kick him, and pulled out his knife.
"Now you're going to know what it feels like," Rick snapped, as he pulled off Nate's shirt and started to cut his chest.
"OH FUCK ME THAT HURTS, PLEASE STOP MAN STOP!" Nate yelled as Rick continued to slash at his chest while Daryl kicked him across the face.
"How does it feel to get hurt?" He asked Nate who started to cry heavily.
"I didn't mean to hurt her."
Rick snarled at the man who had caused trouble for their group. "You don't like it when it's you who's getting tortured, do you?" he snapped angrily, as he cut down his chest. "Shoulda thought about that before you messed with us."
"FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU!" Nate yelled as Daryl punched him across the face.
"Let's finish this."
Rick took out his gun and held it at Nate's head, glaring down at the man. "Any final words?" he growled, as he looked at him with cold, hateful eyes.
"FUCK YOU AND GO TO HELL!" Nate yelled before they all shot him.
"It's done," Rick said quietly, wiping the blood from his forehead. "Let's get rid of the body and go get cleaned up," he said as he and Merle took Nate outside. They took him out of the estate, and dumped him at the side of the road, where Merle used his lighter to burn his corpse.
"Thank Christ for that," Merle said as he took a breath. "Let's just hope T-Dog and the whore ain't stupid enough to come back."
"I don't think they are." Daryl said as they all headed inside to get washed up and showered in their rooms and Rick saw Anna fast asleep with Judith.
He walked over to where they were after putting on some clean clothes and pulled her into him as he watched them sleep.
"Told you I would come back," Rick said softly as he kissed her forehead gently, and lay down beside her. "You don't need to worry about them hurting us anymore, they're gone," he said as he watched her sleep.
He curled up beside them and fell asleep as well finally feeling some peace come over them all as they all rested.
Carol smiled as she cooked them all dinner; happy they were safe, or a little safer than they had been anyway. "Why don't you get some of the wine out of the cupboard?" she asked Maggie as she set the table. "I think we finally found a reason to celebrate."
Maggie nodded, but sighed anyway. "They're not all gone, y'know? Glenn said there were still men in Woodbury, and T-Dog and Lori are out there somewhere. Not to mention we're keeping three men and Karen in our basement, they might come back for them."
"But we got rid of Chris and Nate." Carol pointed out and Maggie smiled as she got out the wine and Bailey set the table with Beth, the kids helped set the plates.
"Is it Christmas yet?" Katy asked hopeful as they all sat down at the table and tucked into the food happily.
"Maybe sweetheart," Maggie said softly. "We could decorate the house tomorrow, make some presents maybe?" she suggested.
The kids nodded happily. "That sounds good, mommy Maggie."
Everyone smiled at that and finished eating as they all helped clear up the table and clean up with Bailey washing up the plates with Maggie.
"I really want to try for a baby." She confided in Bailey.
She gave her a small smile. "Then do it, sweetie. Nate and his group are gone, and we'll keep you safe. Look at Anna, she's doing fine. You never know, you might have a Christmas miracle."
"I will thank you, Bailey." She said warmly.
"Don't worry about it," she said with a small smile, hoping Maggie got what she wished for, as they finished tidying away all the dishes and cleared the table.
They finished tidying up the table and all went into the living room where Bailey picked up Dean played with him and some toys.
Daryl sat beside them and played along with Aoife.
"So what do we do now?" Glenn asked, unsure of what to do with the moment of peace that they had.
"Rest, relax, and whatever the fuck we want," Merle smirked as he pulled Beth into him and kissed her, making her blush.
Everyone smiled at that and went to do their own thing with Will playing with Rose and Dylan as a smiling Merle and Daryl watched.
Aoife yawned and snuggled into her family.
Bailey kissed her forehead gently as she picked her up and took her up to bed, "You're a sleepy girl, aren't you?"
"Yes mama." Aoife said smiling at her as she placed her in bed and got her changed as Daryl and Dean came in to spend time with their family.
"How did you two meet?"
"Your dad and me?" Bailey asked as she tucked Aoife into bed and stroked her hair gently.
Aoife nodded. "Yes mama."
"Well we were best friends when we were younger before the dead rose and were very close." Bailey said as she smiled at Daryl.
"What happened?" Aoife asked softly.
"I got married, sweetheart," Bailey said softly as she lay beside Aoife. "He wasn't a very nice man. I didn't see your daddy again after that until the outbreak happened."
"I found yer mama at yer Grandpa Hershel's farm after Carl was shot; we all stayed there for a couple of months when we ran into some bad men." Daryl said as he held them all tightly.
"What happened daddy?" Aoife asked worried.
"We had to get out of there, before walkers started to swarm the place. Ya were just a baby, ya probably don't remember. We spent a couple of months on the road, before we found the prison and then the mansion," he said with a soft smile.
"Why did those men take mama?" Aoife asked quietly as she cuddled into them and Dean who cooed at her.
"Because they were bad men." Bailey said hugging her.
Aoife nodded as she snuggled into them and Dean, before yawning. "I love you mommy and daddy," she said softly.
Bailey smiled and kissed her forehead. "We love you both too."
Aoife smiled as she slowly fell asleep and they watched her sleep contently with her teddy bear next to her as they headed into their bedroom next door.
Bailey placed Dean down in his crib and both her and Daryl kissed his forehead softly. "Night, angel," Bailey said as she stroked his hair, before they both got changed for bed.
They got under the quilt and held each other tightly as Daryl pulled her into him and stroked her cheeks, nose and hair.
"So fuckin beautiful."
"Can I make love to ya?" he whispered softly, as he slid her nightgown up. She nodded and gave him a small smile as he took off his sweatpants and kissed her gently, pulling her on top of him. She slowly lowered herself down onto him, pausing to adjust to the feeling, as she rocked her hips against him and buried her face into his neck. "OK?" Daryl asked softly, as he settled his hands on her hips and gently thrust himself up into her.
"Yeah, I'm good," she said quietly as she leaned forward to kiss him, and slowly began to move. He didn't push her; just let her make her own pace, as he held onto her tightly. Once she had settled into the rhythm a little more, he felt her begin to pick up her speed, and she moaned quietly. She smiled down at him, her hair dropping into her face. "You feel good, Daryl."
"Don' feel as good as you do," Daryl whispered, as he slowly brought his hand down between their bodies. He looked up into her eyes as she used a hand to guide him and encourage him, as his fingers found her swollen nub and brushed over it, earning a gasp from her mouth. Bailey moaned quietly into his neck as he began to rub his fingers a little harder. "That good?"
"Yes, that's good," she panted, arching her back into him, while she continued to ride him at her own steady pace, and he used his fingers to try and send her over the edge. "Please don't stop."
"I won't," Daryl promised as he applied a little more pressure with his fingers. She felt the tension building and building in her body. "Cum for me, Bailey" Daryl groaned out as he used his other hand to hold her hips tightly. She felt herself let go at his words and her body shook with her orgasm, pleasure running through her body. He let out a groan and held her tightly as his body began to jerk, and he reached his own release.
"I love you; no one's ever touched me like that." Bailey said resting her forehead against his as they held each other tightly.
"I love ya too." He said kissing her.
She laid her head against his chest and listened to his steady heartbeat as they both fell asleep.
All the kids were awake early the next morning and downstairs, as they worked on their Christmas presents for each other.
Katy and Emma had made photo frames in different shapes while Dylan had put a photo of him, Rose, their dad, Merle, Beth, Daryl, Aoife, Dean and Bailey in a wooden frame with 'The Dixon Family,' at the bottom.
Rose had made photo albums.
Rose and Dylan were helping Dean and Aoife make little personalized gifts for the family, before they put everything under the tree, and started decorating the room as the adults got up. The had everything Christmas around the room, tinsel, fake snow, which had caused quite the mess, but a nice mess to look at, the tree, stockings, mistletoe and everything else they could find.
Carl and Judith had made a photo of each of them with Rick and Anna; Carl had made one of him and Anna with 'Mom,' on the frame.
Judith had made one with Carl's help.
Inside in the photo were Anna, Rick, Judith and Carl, with 'The Grimes Family' written on the bottom. They could change the photo in the frame when the baby was born to include their new little brother or sister.
"Wow, y'all have been busy," Beth said smiling as she came into the sitting room.
"Yep, we wanted to surprise everyone." Sam said smiling as all of their family came in along with the animals and they handed out the presents.
"Oh this is beautiful." Maggie gasped.
"Mom, dad, these are for you," Carl said softly as he handed them the two photo frames that he and Judith had made, and they both sat with smile, hoping their parents would like their gifts.
Rick and Anna opened their gifts and smiled happily at Carl and Judith as they pulled them into a hug lovingly.
"We love it.
Carl and Judith smiled as they hugged Anna and Rick tightly. "We're glad, Merry Christmas mom and dad."
"Erry Ismas," Judith cooed as she smiled up at them.
Rick chuckled. "Merry Christmas, kids."
"Merry Christmas folks!" Daryl yelled as he held Bailey, Dean and Aoife as they looked at the photo of them all at the house.
Katy looked at Maggie and Glenn, "Will you be our parents?"
Maggie looked at Glenn and smiled. Katy and Emma wouldn't be their biological children, but that didn't matter. Maggie had gotten her Christmas wish of becoming a parent. "Of course we will," she said with a smile as she picked them both up and hugged them tightly.
Bailey smiled at them, before she saw Will and Patricia both standing under a piece of mistletoe. "Hey, you two. Look up," she smirked.
They both looked up and Patricia blushed pink while Will went bright red before giving her a soft kiss on the lips before hugging all of them.
"Never knew ya were a cuddly man." Merle smirked.
Will laughed. "Well, they say ya learn somethin' new every day," he said with a smile, as he sat down with Rose and Dylan.
Daryl smiled as he pulled Bailey into him as they watched Dean and Aoife play with each other happily; Dean's hair was so long.
"I love ya."
Bailey smiled as she touched his cheek gently. "I love you too, Daryl," she said softly as she sat in his lap and cuddled into him. "Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas, sweetheart." He said holding her and the kids close as they watched the kittens mew and play.
"What are their names?" Merle asked softly.
"They don't have any yet," Rose said frowning. "What shall we name them?" she asked, looking at the other children for name ideas.
"Lucky for the first one?" Katy suggested and they all nodded happily at the name as the kittens ran to where Merle was.
"Hey there." He said amused.
He stroked the kittens' soft fur as the kids smiled at them.
"Can we call this one Simba?" Peter added as he pointed at one of the cats.
"And this one Smudge?" Sam smiled as he pointed to a dark grey kitten.
"Sure we can." Beth said smiling as she watched Smudge jump onto her lap and cuddle into her softly.
"We'll cal the last two Oliver and Leo." Sophia said smiling.
Rick smiled as he watched his family and the animals happy and at peace as they enjoyed their Christmas day.
He smiled softly and held Rowan tightly when he felt a light kick at his right hand and he looked at Anna who had fallen asleep.
"Anna, wake up!" he said as he shook her gently. "Anna! The baby just kicked," he said with a wide grin as Anna stirred awake.
Anna looked at him and placed a hand on her stomach, before she felt a small nudge against her hand. "Oh god, it did!"
They grabbed Carl and Judith's hands as well and placed them on her stomach where they felt a light kick.
"Holy shit!" Carl yelled.
"Carl Grimes," Rick said amused. "None of that language in front of your sister," he smirked, as Carl laughed, and they all cuddled into Anna, happy their new family member had come to say hello.
"Fuck, shit." Aoife giggled when everyone stared in shock at her swearing when Judith spoke happily.
"Lori my bitch now."
Rick couldn't help but laugh, as he and Daryl both shook their heads at each other. "Kids, eh?" he chuckled, as Aoife and Judith played happily together. "Those two are going to be a terrible duo when they grow up."
"Oh Christ don't remind me." Daryl said laughing as he imagined it.
"You wait until she starts kissing boys." Bailey laughed.
"Hell no." He said frowning.
"Don't be so mean," Bailey chuckled as she swatted at Daryl's chest lightly.
"Looks like those two have already started," Merle pointed out, as he smirked down at Dean, who had climbed up next to Judith and was cuddled into her.
Judith smiled at Dean who cuddled into her happily as they both fell asleep beside Aoife and the other kids snoring.
"They're knocked out." Carol said smiling.
"Looks like Christmas wore them out," Daryl said with a laugh as he went to pick up Dean and Aoife. "Too much excitement in one day."
Bailey laughed as she went up with him as everyone wanted to have nice quiet day, they tucked the kids into their room.
"Let's have a nap." She said getting into more comfy clothes.
Daryl stretched and smiled. "Sounds like a good idea," he said softly, as he took off his shirt and jeans, and they climbed under the soft quilt.
She cuddled into him as they held Aoife and Dean; one of the cats climbed onto the duvet and snuggled into them, purring.
"Hey there, boy," Bailey smiled softly, as the cat nuzzled into them and curled up on the bed. Bailey smiled as she kissed Daryl gently. "I love you. I love our family."
"I love ya too; I love our family as well." He said holding her close.
Bailey smiled as she pulled her kids in tightly to her and they all fell asleep in Daryl's arms, with him watching over them.
The next morning Bailey woke up and smiled as she saw all of her family still asleep as she pulled on some clothes and headed downstairs to cook breakfast.
She cooked some pancakes and waffles; she fed the animals as well and smiled when she saw Smudge follow her around.
"Hello boy." She said stroking him softly and he mewed at her as they sat down and he jumped on her lap as she stroked him.
Smudge snuggled into her and dozed off.
She smiled as she listened to him purring contently, as she ran her fingers over his soft fur. "Sleepy kitty, eh?" she said softly. She didn't want to move in case she disturbed him.
Smudge cuddled into her softly and purred as he looked at her with glowing emerald eyes, she smiled and stroked him softly.
"We'll take good care of you."
"All of you, I guess," she said as she looked around all the kittens and cats and dogs they had accumulated. She knew Merle had a slight point about not getting too carried away, but these animals were their responsibility now. She rubbed behind Smudge's ears gently as she seen Anna come downstairs.
"Hey," she said with a smile. "How are you? How's baby Grimes?"
"We're good thanks." Anna said smiling as she made a cup of lemon tea and sat beside Bailey as she ate her breakfast and saw Simba come over happily.
"Hello there." She said stroking him.
Simba climbed up and snuggled into her side, falling asleep while she ate, making soft snoring noises. "All you kittens are so damn cute," she laughed.
Bailey laughed as she saw the others come down and Leo happily sat Daryl's lap and snuggled into him as she took Dean.
"They like you." She said warmly.
