Chapter 25
"Where are we going Daddy?" Laura asked as he, Matthew, James and Lilly walked down the hallway to Dr Palmer's office.
"We are going to see the baby today" Lilly replied
Laura frowned "the baby is coming today?"
Scotty chuckled and lifted his daughter up into his arms "no Princesa, Dr Palmer is going to take a special picture of the baby to see how it is"
Matthew smiled "will the baby be able to see us too?"
Lilly ran a hand through his hair "no sweetie"
Matthew seemed disappointed by this and he pouted.
The office door opened and Dr Palmer greeted them all "hello guys, wow you've gotten big"
"Who are you?" James asked
Dr Palmer chuckled "I was your Mummies doctor when you three were in her tummy"
Lilly ushered her children into the office "hey Doc" Scotty greeted the OBGYN
"You guys ready to see the baby?" he asked the triplets
"Yeah" they exclaimed excitedly
"Ok then" he replied "after you Lilly"
5 minutes later Lilly was lying back on the table, with Scotty sitting beside her. James on one Knee and Laura on the other, Matthew choosing to sit in his own chair.
"See the TV next to Dr Palmer?" he said to his children and they nodded "watch the screen ok"
Dr Palmer squirted the gel on the end of the probe and place it on Lilly's belly
"That's your baby brother or sister" Dr Palmer said warmly "see, this is the arms and finger" he added pointing out all the details to the children.
"Look, the baby is sucking on its thumb Daddy" Laura said pointing to the screen.
"That's right sweetie" Scotty said, pressing a kiss to his little girls head.
"Everything is looking healthy the baby is a good size for this age"
Lilly suddenly wince as the baby kicked sharply at her side and she rubbed at the point the baby had made contact "I think someone doesn't like all this attention" Lilly commented.
Laura reached out and put her hand where Lilly's had been and her eyes lit up as the baby kicked again "I felt it Mummy, the baby is saying hello"
"I think your right sweetie"
"Can we take this to show and tell?" James asked, pointing at the TV screen
Scotty grinned "maybe when the baby is born mi hijo"
Lilly met up with Lindsay at the bridal boutique early that Saturday morning with Laura in tow. Laura had begged Lilly to let her come with her and Scotty suggested that they make a girls day out of it, while he looked after the boys.
"That's a really pretty dress Mummy" Laura said, pointing at one of the manikins in the window, as she and her mother walked through the door of the shop.
"Yes it is sweetheart; now remember you have to behave yourself in here alright"
"Yes Mummy"
"There you are Lil" Lindsay exclaimed as Lilly and Laura approached them "hello Laura"
"Hello Auntie Lindsay"
"Tilly is sitting over there with her colouring books, why don't you go sit with her"
Laura nodded "ok"
"Lil you remember my sister Anna and this is Rebecca, David's sister"
"Hi"
"Oh, how far long are you?" Rebecca asked
"7 months" Lilly replied rubbing a hand over her bump.
"Congratulations"
"We've narrowed it down to a few dresses Lil; we wanted to get your opinion"
Lilly smiled "Sure"
Lilly spent the next few hours watching the other girls try on dresses, feeling more than a little self-conscious as the shop assistant started to take her measurements "Don't worry sweetie" the old woman said "I've had my share of pregnant brides and bridesmaids over the years, I promise you'll look beautiful"
Lilly smiled at the older ladies reflection gratefully.
Finally they'd all agreed on an off the shoulder, lavender coloured dress and Lindsay had ordered her own wedding dress. "You're gonna look so beautiful Lindsay" Lilly said as she and the girls left.
"So will you Lil, it's a really good colour on you"
"Yeah, if only I wasn't 7 months pregnant"
Lindsay sighed "if only I wasn't pregnant either"
Lilly paused and faced her best friend "you're pregnant?"
Lindsay nodded "Yeah, David and I found out last week, hence why we are getting married so quick. My parents would freak if they found out I was pregnant before we tied the knot"
Lilly grinned and pulled her friend into a hug "I won't say a word, I am just so happy for you"
"Thanks Lil" Lindsay replied "I am happy too"
Lilly hugged her again "come on, I am gonna buy you a coffee and we can split a large plate of cheese fries"
"Oh I can't eat those, I am getting married in less than a month"
"Don't worry, I am sure these two will eat the majority of them" Lilly commented, pointing down to Laura and Tilly.
Lindsay chuckled "your on" she replied and she looped her arm through Lil's and they walked down the block towards the burger place.
"Promise you're not gonna laugh at me?" Lilly called through the closed bathroom door.
"I am not gonna laugh Querida, come out and show me" Scotty called back.
Lilly had gotten the dress from the bridal shop last week and with less than two weeks till Lindsay's wedding, Lilly had to try it on and make sure it fits.
"Alright I am coming out"
Scotty sat on the edge of the mattress, watching it slowly open and his wife emerge.
"Oh baby you look beautiful" Scotty said sincerely
"Really?" Lilly asked, looking at her refection in the wardrobe mirror, running a hand over her swollen stomach "you don't think I look like a large, purple hippo?"
Scotty grinned and stood up coming to stand behind her "No Lil, you look perfect"
Lilly sighed "I know you're lying to me"
Scotty pressed a kiss to her exposed shoulder "no, you look sexy, want me to prove it to you" and he pressed himself against her back, making her gasp as she felt his growing erection pressed into the small of her back "I've always wanted to sleep with the bridesmaid"
Lilly giggled "hopefully not at our wedding"
Scotty chuckled "no, I was too preoccupied with this smoking hot blonde in a white dress"
He lowered his head, running his lips down her neck and along her shoulder, one hand sliding up her back to tug at the zipper.
"Scotty, I really hate to stop you but I have to meet Linds in 10 minutes"
Scotty sighed "Well I guess that I can't wait to have my bridesmaids fantasy realised"
Lilly rolled her eyes and walked back into the bathroom to get changed "Oh I forgot…." She called out "…one of David's groomsmen can't make it he's apparently stuck in London so Lindsay asked if you could fill in"
Scotty pushed open the bathroom door "me? One of David's groomsmen?"
Lilly nodded "yeah, I said that I'd ask you"
Scotty sighed "I guess so"
"Perfect" Lilly replied as she buttoned up her shirt "I'll tell Linds that you said yes" She walked past him, quickly pressing a kiss to his cheek "I'll be back in a few hours, be good"

It was Valentine's Day and with Lilly and Scotty up in the Poconos for Lindsay's wedding, Christina was at home babysitting the triplets and Humphrey. She sighed, running her hand over Humphrey's head as he lay asleep on the couch beside her.
The kids had been in bed for the last hour and she was currently watching some sappy Valentine's Day movie.
Humphrey suddenly sat up staring out the window and the next minute there was a knock on the door. Humphrey followed her down the hallway to the front door and Christina looked through the peephole to see who it was.
"Jack" Chris whispered as she opened the door for her boyfriend "what are you doing here?"
Jack shrugged "you think I'd stay away from my girlfriend on Valentine's Day?"
Chris smiled "that's really sweet, but Lilly and Scotty aren't here and I have to babysit my niece and nephews"
"But the kids are asleep aren't they?"
Chris sighed "Yes, but…"
Jack leaned in and pressed a kiss to her lips
"I brought a bottle of wine, maybe we could just talk"
Chris sighed and stood back to let him in, closing the door behind him.
"We have to keep it down" Chris whispered
Jack nodded and followed his girlfriend into the kitchen "Lilly will kill me if she finds out I let you in"
Jack chuckled "why, you're an adult?"
"I meant to be watching the kids and I can't do it when you here, distracting me"
Jack grinned "I distract you do I"
Chris rolled her eyes "if she finds out that I invited you in and we had sex she'd flip"
"It's not like they don't have sex, your sister is 7 months pregnant isn't she?" Chris still looked concerned "we are adults Chris, consenting adults and it's not like we are going to have sex in front of your niece and nephews"
"Look Jack if all you came here is for is sex then you can leave" Chris snapped
"Hey I am not the one that brought it up first"
Chris ran a hand through her hair "I am sorry"
Jack sighed "it's ok"
Chris crossed the gap between them and slid her arms around his waist "no. It's not and I was a bitch"
Jack leaned down and kissed her in the top of her head "I forgive you"
"How about a glass of that wine?"
Jack grinned "sounds good" Chris took out two wine glasses and poured out the wine "Chris, you know that I care about you, right?"
She handed him a glass and nodded "I know"
Jack took a step towards her, brushing her hair behind her ear "no, I really care about you….I am falling in love with you Christina Rush"
She looked up into his eyes, trying to read him for any sense that he was lying to her, not telling her the truth. But as far as she could tell he was being honest.
She grinned up at him "I falling in love with you Jack Schneider"
He cupped her cheek with his free hand and pressed his lips to hers, brushing his tongue against her lips, requesting entry into her mouth which she willingly offered up.
He broke the kiss, resting his forehead against hers "happy Valentine's Day" he whispered
"Happy Valentine's Day" she replied.
