Slipping her hand into Elsa's, Anna leaned her head against her shoulder. "You think we'll ever have kids one day?"

Looking down at her, Elsa shrugged, her thumb stroking the back of her sister's hand. "You're asking like it's not something that'll have to happen. To keep the crown in our family, at least."

"Unless we appoint a special heir."

Cool breath blew along Anna's cheek and mouth as Elsa moved closer, "What kind of special heir?"

"Well, you know. Adoption?"

"Adoption…" Elsa's lips quirked up. "I could see that."

"Mmm?"

"Yes." Elsa nuzzled Anna's head. "Adoption. Still legal if we played it right. And you do, don't you, want to play it right?"

Anna scoffed. "Kind of have to," she squeezed Elsa's hand, sighing, relaxing back into her, "If we want make sure we'll have heirs or at least an heir who will be able to take up the throne."

"The throne…" Elsa smiled again. She tapped Anna's cheek, fingers stroking along her skin as she pulled away. "Have to make sure the throne…" She paused, then met Anna's gaze again. "But, what about Kristoff?"

"Kristoff?"

Elsa managed a smirk, barely rolling her eyes. "Anna. You know what I mean. He could always…"

Anna's cheeks glowed. Turning around so it was easier to meet her gaze, she frowned at her sister, eyebrows furrowing. "Elsa."

Lifting her hand, Elsa softened her expression. "Just putting it out there. For maybe."

"Maybe." Anna sighed, slipping her hand back into Elsa's. "Well, better than nothing, I guess."

"Right." Elsa nodded. Her shoulders dropped, her arms wrapping around Anna. "Last option?"

Anna hugged her back; she knew what it had taken for her sister to have suggested that in the first place. "Last option," she agreed, and kissed Elsa soundly.
