Hey guys! I'm back with another chapter that is twice as long as normal! So Imma let you get to it...

READ

I woke up the next morning to Adam standing over me, slapping my face gently, "Lia. Wake up. Lia WAKE UP!" I ignored him.

"Lia," Mitch said jumping up onto the bed with Adam, "Lia don't make us do this."

Suddenly all of Team crafted plus a few of my friends jumped onto my bed. The kept jumping up and down on the bed until I was forced to the ground. Ava jumped on top of me, "WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE LIKE GET UP! Oh and go get Kevin up too. He refuses to."

"Ughhghghghghhghghghgh," I said while stomping out of the room. I knocked on the guy's door. Aleks answered it, "Go get Kevin up or we are just going to leave him."

"Keeeeeeevvvvvvvvviiiiiiiiin," I said shaking his body. He moaned in reply. "Kevin, we are going to leave without you if you don't get the fuck up."

He pulled me in and whispered in my ear, "Stay."

I got up and went to Jordan's room. I told him to go on without me and Kevin. Then I went back to Kevin's room.

"What's your problem bro?" I said jokingly.

"I wanted to spend time with you, just like we used to."

"Remind me again. I don't really remember."

"Come here," he said motioning me. I went over and lied down next to him. "I missed you so much," he said cuddling me.

"Me too."

"Promise you won't ever leave again."

"I promise."

"I'm hungry."

"And?"

"Let's go get something to eat."

We walked down to the same restaurant that I told you about earlier. And we got some pancakes. (A/N I have an obsession) I got a stack of 4 pancakes and it was awesome. Kevin gave me a face the whole time saying something along the lines of how can a girl eat so many pancakes?

After we got some pancakes, we walked to PAX. I met up with my friends and we hung out for the rest of the day. After lunch, Ava didn't feel good.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked her.

"Yeah," She fake smiled. "I'm fine. Just tired."

(time skip to plane ride)

"Ava, are you sure you're okay? You haven't spoken a word," I said to the red-headed girl sitting next to me.

"Lia, I am fine. Okay?"

"You just seem different."

"Everyone has those days. Even you."

We sat in silence the rest of the plane ride. Ava got up, grabbed her luggage, and went home without even saying goodbye.

"What's with her?" Niomi asked.

"I don't know..." I responded. "I'll talk to her later."

I should have talked to her earlier than I did. Late. That's what I was. A minute, maybe even a few seconds, could have made a huge difference. I don't know where I went wrong. It plays over in my head every time I blink. I just wished she would have called or something. I just wish that I did more than I did. She was locked in a world that she couldn't see a way out. Even though it was right in front of her. I was right in front of her. But it got the best of her.

Later that day, I went to her house. I knocked on her door. Her dad answered. I had never seen him before. He was large and pale. He had dark circles under his eyes. His breath smelled of smoke and alcohol. I took a step away just to breathe.

"Can I speak to Ava?" I asked.

"Yeah she's in her room up the stairs and to the right."

"Thank you," I said as I quickly walked past him trying to avoid eye contact. As I walked to the stairs I spotted a needle sitting on the table next to the couch. He's a drug addict. I went into Ava's room and she wasn't in there. Suddenly there was a loud thump that came from the bathroom across the hall. I knocked on the door, "Ava? You okay?" She didn't answer. I opened the door to find Ava lying on the ground, holding an empty container of medicine. I knelt by her side as I called 911. She reached up and hung up my phone, "It's too late, Lia."

"Ava, no." I redialed the number.

"There's a note in my room... for you."

"You knew I would come."

"Yeah."

I told the lady who answered my call to come quickly and that a girl overdosed on her medicine. Then I hung up. "Ava, stay with me."

"You've been a good friend, Lia."

"Ava don't."

"In fact, you've been the best friend I could have ever asked for."

"Ava!" I was practically screaming.

"Goodbye." Then she faded away.

They couldn't save her that day. The very day I was late. She told me in her note that there was nothing I could do.

Lia,

If you are reading this then you know what happened. The reason? Night after night, wearing the same thing for him. Needles after needles were stuck in my arm. The scarf I wore, was to hide the bruises on my neck from him choking me. Give this note to the authorities. Get him arrested. I couldn't stand to be there when they would drag my father away. The moment I lost it was when I started to accept it. Like it was a part of me now. I knew there was no going back. Don't blame yourself for this. There was nothing you could have done. There was no way out. No way to escape my fate. It was inevitable from the moment my mom left. My life was never like this before. But look what it had turned into. I'm sorry, but it was meant to be this way. Bets of luck to you and your friends. I'll miss you.

-Ava

I did what she said to do: get that son of a bitch arrested. The Creatures would try to comfort me, but I just wanted to be left alone. I received a bunch of Skype calls from Team Crafted. Most of them from Jason or Mitch. I did get one from Kevin...

"Hey," I said with tears coming out of my eyes.

"I heard what happened..."

"And?"

"I wish I was there to hold you."

"Kevin, you're such a sweetheart."

"I just can't stand to see you like this."

"I'll be okay."

"I don't want you to turn go back to what you did in the past."

"Neither do I."

"Lia?"

"I got to go. Goodnight, Kevin."

"Lia."

"Bye." And I hung up. I couldn't help but to blame myself...

Step one, you say, "We need to talk."
He walks, you say, "Sit down. It's just a talk."
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Let him know that you know best
'Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
Pray to God, he hears you
And I pray to God, he hears you

And where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

How to save a life

How to save a life

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life

(A/N this is how to save a life by the fray so go give it a listen if you haven't already)

I locked myself in my room for the next three days. I didn't even get up to get food. Jordan would knock on my door occasionally to offer me something to get me to come out, but I refused.

"Lia, come on you need to eat," James said.

"No!" I shouted.

"Eddie is here to see you."

Eddie opened the door.

"Where the hell did you get that key from?" I asked.

"Jordan gave it to me."

"Just leave me alone."

"Damn it Lia! You can't just hide from the world. Look at the comments on your last video."

I opened my laptop and pulled up my latest video. There were comments after comments saying that I was dead or asking where I went. Right then I realized that I hadn't posted a video in the past 5 days.

"Go home, Eddie."

"I'm not leaving you."

"Go home!" I shouted and pushed him out of my room. Then I re-locked the door.

I sat down at my desk and thought about what I should say to my fans. Then Eddie's muffled voice sounded through the door, "Her funeral is today. You should go."

I sighed and started the recording, "Hey guys... This is going to be a short video explaining where I have been. So first I had PAX. I have a few vlogs I haven't uploaded yet, but expect those soon. Now on to the real point of this video. You guys know my friend Ava. I never thought I would have to make one of these. Ava passed away." I started crying. "She did it herself, which is the worst part. I always asked her if she was okay, but she never gave me the truth. My point is, that if you feel alone on this world, you are not. There are people who will always be there for you. So please, if you feel that way, tell someone. In fact, you could even tell me. I will be there for you. All of you. So come talk to me if you are feeling down. Please. You guys mean the world to me. I owe you my life. So videos should be back tomorrow or the day after. See you later. Bye." I ended the recording and cupped my face in my hands. Then I imagined how my other friends felt. I got up from my desk and took a shower. Then I threw on some jeans and a T-shirt. I also put on my normal amount of makeup. I grabbed a quick snack and left for my friend's apartments.

I knocked on Rebecca and Maggie's door. The others were there too. They looked to be in the same condition I was. I went and sat on the couch next to Maggie and Alex. I put my arm around them, "You know guys, we should get ready for her funeral."

"I don't know if I'll be able to handle it," Maggie responded.

"We'll do it together. Like we always have." The others nodded and pulled themselves up off the couch and ground. We hugged and got ready. I borrowed a black dress from Niomi. The others each had their own dress.

After about 2 hours we were ready to go. We walked down the street to where Ava's funeral was. There was a familiar face there that I was not expecting: Michael. Rebecca tensed up.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"Michael is here."

"He's not that bad of a person."

She pulled me off to the side, "I knew him from my old school, back where I used to live. He did some really bad things. Please just stay away from him."

Rebecca's POV

"Please just stay away," I begged Lia.

"What did he do?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Rebecca."

"Lia, just please."

"Okay."

Then we went back into the crowd. I lost Lia somewhere along the line. After the funeral service, I caught Michael talking to Lia. I have to help her. I walked over to them, "Hey Lia, I need some help over here." And I dragged her away from the monster. I must protect Lia.

Later, I told the others about Micheal. They agreed.
