The North Pole was amazing. Truly amazing, there was a globe that had a light for every single child that believed. Toys were being made all around, and yetis made them not the elves. That shocked me. I always thought it was the elves, I guess I couldn't trust all the books. I had wandered the workshop and all around. There was just so much to see, the yetis were very friendly. One of them was even nice enough to give me a small tour though I had no idea what he was saying. I ended up back at the top of the giant globe. I watched as floating toys cut through the air.

"Excuse me," A voice said behind me. I turned from looking at the globe and amazing workshop below and surrounding it to see a fairy. I didn't know that fairies where real too. I guess the Tooth Fairy was real if this fairy wasn't her. "I'm Lex, this is Sandy."

"Hello." I held out my hand. "I'm Gen."

"It's great to meet you," Lex replied shaking my hand and then Sandy did too. "Sorry Sandy doesn't talk."

"It's alright." This was Sandy? The Sandman the man that had the sand that Pitch made his nightmares from? He was not what I was expecting. I didn't think that he would also be made of his sand. Maybe it was just a coating that was always covering him from head to toe. I would have to ask and probably have someone translate for me. I'm not exactly sure how I would go about communicating with him.

Objects made of sand started to appear above Sandy's head. One looked somewhat like me, another looked somewhat like Pitch and there were hearts surrounding them."So, you're dating Pitch?" Lex asked. "that's what Sandy is trying to ask."

"I am, or at least I was." I said sadly. "Before I died."

"Don't worry about it!" Lex tried to cheer me up. "Ellie and I have died too. I'm sure Pitch will still date you now that you're like us!"

I've never seen a mime argue with someone, but I feel like Sandy and Nick arguing was more entertaining than a mime fight would be. Sand images were flying everywhere and Nick would start yelling things back and it was all going so quickly. It was hard to tell if it was even possible for the two to actually be listening to the other and hearing the ideas.

Lex and Ellie were not even interfering, so I felt like this was a common occurrence. The two women and I sat at a table not far from them. We were given some cookies and hot chocolate. I was half surprised how good the cookies were. I probably shouldn't have been, they were cookies from the North Pole after all. We engaged mostly in small talk. They asked me about my death I told them all about it. I talked about my time at my gravesite where I was all alone and couldn't talk to anyone. Ellie and Lex shared parts of their stories too. I felt like I may have made a friend with each of them.

"Mommy?" A little boys voice disturbed me from watching the fight. I turned and saw an adorable boy, he had blue eyes like his father and what looked to be blond hair. A younger girl was holding his hand she had brown hair and green eyes exactly like Ellie's. "Is Jasmine here so we can play?"

"She's not." Ellie replied. "But we have a new friend, Gen." She gestured to me.

"There's no one there Mommy." The little boy said. A pang went through my heart. It was the most painful thing I'd ever experience. It was almost like smashing my finger in a door, but the pain seemed to spread throughout my entire being.

I had to clutch my chest. It wasn't right I didn't feel right. Why wasn't he seeing me? Several children had seen me. Why couldn't he?

"He has nothing to fear…." I said to myself involuntary. I was courage. This little boy in front of me probably hadn't experienced fear where he needed to find the ability in himself to get over it. He had everything he ever needed here. He was protected he never had to want for anything. The little girl even was looking at my chair curiously.

"What?" Ellie said looking at me. "What did you say?"

"You're son, he has nothing to fear. He's never had to look for courage inside of himself to do something. " I told her.

"I can see her mommy." The little girl said. "She's really pretty." The girl came right up and put her hands on my knees. "Can I play with your hair?" I nodded and picked her up.

"That's not fair! I want to see her too!" The boy shouted.

"Chase." Ellie said sternly. "It's not Aurora's fault that she can see Gen and you can't."

"But."

"No buts."

The little boy, Chase, crossed his arms and sat right where he had been standing pouting. Ellie sighed before turning her attention away from her son and back at me. "What were you saying?"

"Your son, Chase, hasn't needed much courage. He hasn't done something where he would need courage. Apparently Aurora has."

"When?" Ellie mused out loud.

"When we went on the big hill sled ridding," Lex said. "She was terrified to go up there. Aurora hates heights, but remember we left her with Jingle and eventually she came up the hill all by herself with Jingle running after her!"

"That's right!" Ellie said her eyes slightly wide. "That has to be it. So Chase would need to face something that he's afraid or to see you?" Ellie asked.

"I think so," I replied, "But that means that Pitch needs to face something the thing that he fears. I'm not sure what that is. Since he can't hear or see me I'm not sure how I could help him."

"We'll help him." Ellie and Lex said at the same time. "We'll find out what is his problem."

"Thank you."
