"I can't believe it I left it right there but the test ...it isn't here now" I rubbed my head.
"Where is it?" Jo asked.
"I don't understand it was definitely here" I said sitting inside my car, resting my head on the wheel. I groaned "i'm sorry. This is my fault it wouldn't have happened if I had just taken the test with me but I forgot when Logie disrupted us"
Jo joined me in the passenger side. She pushed my hair aside "Cami if you are sure that you left here then someone must have taken it. I have no idea why they would though." she put her hand on my shoulder "Well we can't do anything about it now. We might as well go the hospital"
I can't believe that she is taking it so well, considering that somebody had now got the evidence proving that we both share a secret. Somebody knows that Jo is pregnant and they know before Jo does. She is so calm about it though. I don't understand why because if it was me in her position I would be the complete opposite. I would be freaking out at least but mind you Jo is pretty calm compared to me. She is right about one thing there is nothing we could do right now about that missing test.
I drove us to the hospital, the pair of us barely saying anything to the other. It wasn't awkward or anything like that but I guess we were busy doing what we girls do best which is over thinking. And we like to do that a lot as the guys have had get used to.
"Are you nervous about seeing Kendall?" I asked Jo as we left the car.
She shrugged her shoulders and smiled. "Yes and no it is the first time since the accident that he is awake."
I draped my arms around her to envelope her in a tight hug. "I am sure that Kendall has missed you as much as you have missed him, even more I believe. Especially because you've not really seen each other for the past few weeks, not properly anyway."
Jo sat down on one of the empty chairs outside Kendall's room since we were a little too early to see Kendall, the nurse was still in with him. "Who would have thought that all of this would have happened so quick?"
I nodded my head in agreement as I stood opposite her leaning against the wall. "Who knows what is going to happen next?"
"We see Kendall" Jo replied, smiling.
I am glad that she is excited to see him. I thought that maybe she would be a bit worried because of that nightmare she had a few days ago, the one where Lucy came back and Kendall believed that they were still dating. I would be worried if I was her just because of that nightmare. I would be apprehensive at least. I just hope that we can all try to get back to normal now that Kendall is not fighting for his life. Now all he needs is to do to recover. I am sure that all of our friends will agree with me.
"When can we see him?" Jo asked impatiently. She was almost so excited that she was bouncing up and down waiting like a young child on Christmas morning desperate to open her presents.
"I guess when she is finished" I motioned to the nurse who was checking Kendall's drip. She wrote something on what I assumed to be Kendall's medical notes and then walked to the door "Looks like she is. You've got your wish"
Jo grabbed the nurses wrist. "Please can I see my boyfriend?"
The nurse smiled "Of course you can he is still a bit delicate due to the pain medication from the surgery but he's a lot more focused than he was yesterday." she told us.
"Jo you go in and see him. I know you literally can't wait. I'll wait here for the others"
Jo squeezed my hand "Thank you"
I kissed her cheek "Say hi for me"
I let out a sigh of relief as I watched Jo enter Kendall's room and close the door behind her. I still felt bad because I was the one who had the pregnancy test last before it disappeared from my car. I don't understand why she doesn't blame me I just feel so bad about it going missing from car.
"Camille" Logie shouted dashing to my side. "Why aren't you sitting down?"
I kissed his cheek as he pulled me over to a chair. "Relax Jo and I have only been here a few minutes...wait why are you forcing me to sit down?"
Logan's cheeks were turning as red as tomatoes with embarrassment.
"Logan" I said after he said nothing for a few moments "Why have you forced me to sit down?"
James and Carlos appeared with sweets and drinks.
"Logan why did you want me to sit down?" I was fighting the urge to slap him. First he treats me like a porcelain doll, or as if he believes that I am unbreakable and then he refuses to answer my questions.
James passed around the drinks he held "Camille he found the pregnancy test in your car. He knows that you lied to him about the result. We know that you are pregnant."
