Touch me until it hurts.
Until my body burns.
Love me until it hurts."
- Until It Hurts, Fransisca Hall
"Here we are," Bo's voice was a soft declaration of succession as she used the palm of her left hand to push open the entrance door to her house. Her other arm was too busy being occupied with keeping Tamsin's wrecked body in as much support and stability as could be offered. They could have gone to the medical facility, but it would have taken longer and she wasn't confident in risking too much movement out of the valkyrie, not with the condition that she was in. Vex, Dyson and Kenzi had opted to continue on down the road so that they could pass on the word to Lauren that the female detective was in need of a serious check-up. It was a situation that was too flawed to ever imagine, but the brunette would tie Tamsin down if that is what it took. She was in need of rest and recovery to say the very least. Bo gave a small look around the area, finishing her hanging sentence, "home sweet home."
As for the valkyrie, she wasn't standing quite as tall and refined as her significant other, she was both limp and tense; falling apart and stubbornly trying to hold herself together with what strength still coursed through her veins. "I never thought I would be so thankful to see this shabby place again," she remarked, limping further into the center of the room, but allowing the other female to do most of the leading.
This wasn't her actual home, after all. She didn't really have one.
"Hey, be nice, this is an upgrade for you," Bo soothed her words through a gentle tone and used the heel of her boot to nudge the door shut behind them, "would you like to rest on the couch or do you want to try and make it to our bedroom?"
The question had been lost on Tamsin due to one specific locution, "our bedroom?" She didn't know whether the brunette had made a slip-up or whether it was intended, but it just sounded so different compared to what she was used to. It was something serious, permanent, even.
And all Bo could do was chuckle, as if she was listening to a small child who had made a mispronunciation, "yes, that is what I said, great hearing skills detective," she added and craned her head so that she could stare at the naive blonde, "it makes sense, doesn't it? It's only right to have the woman I love under the same roof, it's better than having you staying in some trashy motel. What's mine is yours."
There was no change in regards to how awestruck and dumbfounded the valkyrie had grown over everything she heard, no one had openly given her a home to stay in, but then again she had never loved another.
"Oh God," the brunette's voice took a quick change, "I'm sorry, was that too forward of me? Is it too soon? I didn't mean to just...uh, I...all I meant was that we should...there's no pressure. I'd understand if you weren't ready...if you didn't want to," she was furious at her own downfall of rambling, and she'd tripped herself up so many times that she couldn't even look Tamsin in the eye anymore. She was too concerned with blushing.
Yet, the valkyrie was shamelessly watching her through the entire babbling of awkwardness, for the first time, it brought a small smile to her pale lips, "it's not too soon, you just surprised me, that's all. You ended things with Lauren a day or two ago, I didn't think you would be ready for anything like that for a while."
"I was going to wait, but then I realized that...I don't want to wake up in an empty bed every morning, not when I could have you there," Bo had gotten her cheeks back to an almost natural complexion by the time that she chanced a look back to the detective, "besides, do you honestly think that I could sleep easy without you?"
"I'm really glad that you didn't die," Tamsin blurted out, seemingly from randomness, although she let her arm curl tighter around the brunette's shoulder.
"Is that your secret way of telling me that you do want to live with me?"
"It might be," she responded, seeing that she had gained herself a warming smile from the brunette - which she always considered to be one of her greatest victories.
In return, Bo's circled both of her arms stronger around Tamsin and as they progressed to the staircase at a cautious pace, she kept alert. She had learned that the blonde was likely to trip or stumble at any point in time. The notion that she was even persisting to walk right now was commendable. Even if she was in pain, she would never say, maybe it would out of politeness or pride. Either way, it was covered pretty well.
The detective was biting down on this inside of her cheek as she started to climb the steps, one by one. Whenever she moved her thigh, it burned horribly and her nerves screamed in alarm but she couldn't let that stop her. It would be too embarrassing. She just held onto the brunette and toughened the rest of the ascension out.
"We can stop if you want," Bo suggested as she watched her footing, and more importantly, Tamsin's footing, "there's no use in having you strain yourself any further, take your time."
"I'm fine Bo, I'm not some child learning how to walk again, this is nothing to me," the blonde refrained from snapping, she didn't want her ego to create tension between herself and the other female. Old habits died hard. "If need be, I could still lay waste to an entire army."
'If I disagree with her, I'll never hear the end of it,' the brunette warned herself so that she didn't make the mistake over getting into a tediously long argument, she found it better to say nothing on that subject. She placed her focus onto holding the valkyrie by the waist while the last three steps were out of the way.
"See, told you," Tamsin panted with pride, although she came close to staggering in her next stride.
Luckily Bo's reactions were always extra sharp while dealing with the detective, so she caught a hold of her to balance her out, "easy there, lets just try to get you to the room in one piece," she continued to guide the blonde along, surprised by the lack of snide comeback, but she did hear grumbling. It was bizarre, she wasn't used to saying something without having a verbal jab as a reply. She could only guess that Tamsin was being 'sweeter' to her given the whole heart virus thing. It did stir a lot of questions in her head.
Questions which she prepared to ask while they made it to the bedroom.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Tamsin began to frown in puzzlement, glancing from the bed and then to the brunette next to her, "talk about what?"
"Kenzi told me that you broke down, and then even after that you were-" Bo's explanation was rudely cut off when the blonde suddenly pulled away from the support. A nerve must have been touched somewhere because she had paced forward, shaking her head frantically.
"Leave it alone, there's nothing to discuss," Tamsin's teeth were gritted slightly as she struggled with trying to keep her quick temper under the reigns. It humiliated her to have the world know about her emotional bout and it was even worse to have it brought up to her now.
Apparently the calm atmosphere which existed between them downstairs was dispersing and vanishing in plain sight.
"You were a mess, you were tortured, I'd say that is something to discuss, you can't keep it all locked inside to yourself, it'll kill you," the brunette wanted to step forward, but she knew that it would be a mistake to do so. She was stuck with watching the detective's back, sighing slowly. Creating tension wasn't her goal, but it wasn't going to be healthy for the blonde to repress everything that she had gone through. She deserved to let it all out, didn't she?
The valkyrie's frown became sorer when the other woman insisted on talking her through her troubles, as if she didn't remember it all already. She rested both of her hands against the wooden counter, glaring into the mirror in front of her, spying Bo through the reflection, "quid pro quo, Bo, you were going to tell me something back in the factory but you didn't get the chance. You give me your answers and I'll give you mine."
Having the spotlight reversed caused Bo's hand to tighten by her side, she should have guessed that the blonde wouldn't go down without dragging her into the fray also, dealing with a valkyrie wasn't something she considered an honest bargain tactic. Although, she could also see how it was fair to do so. She caught a glimpse of Tamsin's through the mirror, "how about you go first?"
"No deal, if you want to talk, you start," the blonde responded swiftly, her gaze unmoving from watching the other female, "those are the terms, take it or leave it."
"Fine," Bo grumbled and glanced down, as to avert away from looking at the detective, she expected that it was going to be rocky from here on out, "I'm...I haven't got my succubus powers back, I'm still human."
A silence encroached the bedroom for the first three seconds, but then Tamsin slammed her hand against the surface of the wooden counter, harshly, "I knew it," she growled just a little and narrowed her eyes dangerously.
Snapping her gaze up with a worrying speed, Bo hadn't expected the outcome to be like this, "what do you mean you knew?"
"Oh come on, it explains why you had a gun, if you were a succubus you wouldn't have needed a weapon - YOU would have been the weapon," the valkyrie twisted in her stance so that she was no longer staring through the mirror, but glaring over her left shoulder instead, "what were you thinking? Do you have any idea how stupid it was to try and save me as a human?"
"I...I had Kenzi with me-"
"Ah, two humans, even more stupid then. God dammit, why in the world wouldn't you get your powers back first? You could've been killed," if the detective's tone had taken a colder turn, it was only due to the concern that her lover's death could have been a high possibility, she didn't even want to console to a softer approach, "you shouldn't have risked your life."
"I didn't have a second to spare, I had to get to you, human or not," Bo's own frustration was beginning to rise, but she had much better self control than the blonde across from her, she was holding back very professionally, "don't lecture me Tamsin, you would have done the exact same thing."
"Of course I would of-"
"Then stop being a hypocrite, if you can risk your life to save me, then surely I can do the same."
"No."
"No? Now you're just being impossible."
"I don't care, I'm the one who should take all the dumb ass risks to save your ass, I don't want you doing the same. I can endure pain and torment, but you shouldn't have to, no way," Tamsin argued, looking as though she was about to stomp her foot on the ground like a child who wanted things their own way.
Finally, Bo was frowning incredulously at the detective, "too bad, you don't get to make the rules, I would give my life for you and there isn't a damn thing you can do about that. This isn't one sided Tamsin, we need to protect each other, I don't expect you to do it all by yourself."
"Well I do, and I'd prefer it that way, I really don't want you to die for me, in fact, I don't even want you to take so much as a single scratch for me. And having you as a human doesn't help matters either," the valkyrie blew out a short sigh, "the sooner you get your powers back, the happier I'll be."
She had thought her statement to be fair, that was, until she noticed that the brunette wasn't openly agreeing with her. Actually, by the look of things, Bo was carrying an expression of guilt and avoidance across her face, gazing down at her feet.
"Oh, great, what is it now?" Tamsin came down on the silence as quickly as she probably could, "don't tell me that you can't get your powers back."
"It's not a about whether I can, it's about whether I should," Bo tilted her head to the left, drawing her eyes to look at the set of wooden drawers next to her.
"Whether you should? Are you kidding me? Of course you should," the valkyrie huffed with ease as she attempted to cross her arms over her chest, alas, her recently dislocated shoulder still hurt so she took her time with the motion.
"That's typical of you, you haven't even considered that this is what I've always wanted, I don't have to live with a constant curse, I'm not a danger to the world anymore, I could love you...without killing you."
"Even as a succubus you wouldn't kill me, I'm strong enough to sustain you, you know that," the detective bit back sharply, turning her nose up at the thought, "humanity is weak Bo, I don't even know why we're having this discussion."
"Can you try to see things from my point of view, please? Just for once in your life," Bo sighed heavily and brought one hand up to rub behind her neck, "do you know how tired I am of having to fight constantly? There's always some new challenge to face everyday, or someone wants a shot to take down the 'unaligned' succubus."
Even as the valkyrie heard the logic in the brunette's words, she didn't want to lower herself to agreeing, therefore she tried to shrug thoughtlessly, "it comes with the territory of being strong, and you are strong, maybe you don't want to carry all of this weight, but no one else could have done it. Your relationship didn't work out with Lauren because you were a succubus, but now that you're a human..."
"Hey, that is not what this is about, how can you even think that I would just leave you the first chance I get? That's insulting," the brunette wanted to step forward to be able to take a hold of the detective's hands, but with the icy atmosphere between them, she didn't bother, she needed to keep things calm again.
"Come on, do you honestly expect me to believe that Lauren hasn't be gabbering on to you about how you should give up being Fae? I bet she said something really prissy about it being another chance for you, right?"
"She might have said a thing or two, but she does have a point, I have a second shot at life."
"What second shot? This IS your life, you only have one," Tamsin replied sternly, although in her mind she was also saying to herself, 'unless you're a valkyrie, like me.'
"We could get away from all of this pain, all of this suffering Tamsin, don't you see that?" Bo took it upon herself to lessen the distance between them. A risky move given that they were unbelievably at odds so soon, but she knew that the blonde would do her no harm. Reaching out, she held both of the detective's wrists within her hands, "isn't that something you want? We'd get to start a whole new life together."
With less conflict than assumed, Tamsin shook her head, "no, this is our life, you are better as a succubus," she said at first, although when seeing the look of hurt cross the brunette's face, she found her mistake and amended it, "that came out wrong, I just mean that you were born Fae, it is who you are, it's in your blood, does being human look fun to you? Disease, death, betrayal, I've witnessed it for a very long time, it's not the paradise that you're believing it is. You are a succubus, Bo, I know that the trials and tribulations of life are unfair to you, but think of all the innocent people you have saved, you help them without any hope of a reward...no one like you exists, there'll never be another. Don't change."
It wasn't often that the brunette was on the receiving end of a heartwarming speech from the valkyrie, but when it did happen, she felt as though she had been taken to another world. She never thought it would be possible for someone to say so many good things about who she was, at heart, as a succubus. She couldn't fathom words hence why she was now glancing down to her soft grip on the detective's forearms.
"I would still love you as a human, and I know I should be saying that the choice is yours, but if I have to force your powers back into you, so help me God, I will, I'm not going to take the risk of having you this vulnerable everyday," the blonde was serious, of course, and she wouldn't alter her mind one iota.
"But what if I kill people? What if I lose control? It feels like I have a monster inside of me waiting to break out," Bo closed her eyes tightly and exhaled through her nostrils, indicating to how stressful she was with the two options.
"I don't care about that, you can kill a whole civilization if you want. If I had the choice to kill you or send three million souls to the underworld then I'm afraid to say that the world would lose half of it's population. Better having you alive as a succubus than dead as a human."
"Tamsin, that's-"
"Cold? Heartless? Inhuman? Sue me, I'd rather choose to save the woman I love than anything else on this planet, I don't see anything morally, physically or emotionally wrong with that."
Shaking her head, Bo brought her gaze to Tamsin's face, moving her hands up until she was cupping her pale cheeks, "are you listening to yourself? You would sacrifice millions of innocent lives...just for me?"
"Yes," the blonde answered solidly, 'and you wouldn't do the same.'
Or, she didn't think that the brunette would be capable of making such a cruel decision, but she couldn't stomach waiting to find out. It didn't matter to her, she knew that because of Bo's virtuous nature that a lot of things would set them apart in the relationship.
Tamsin cleared her throat and frowned, she pulled away from the caring hold that the other female had her in, "forget about it, I say we kill the witch first thing tomorrow and get your powers back to you."
'I have to commend her determination,' Bo mused to herself, slightly disheartened that the valkyrie was disconnecting from her, she didn't fancy continuing on the debate any further about her humanity. The blonde had swayed her mind to the belief that she was born as a succubus for a reason, she would be a liar if she said that she didn't feel incomplete as she was now. "Okay, since we've established my problem, it's time for you to talk about your own."
"That won't be happening," the blonde dismissed the change of topic as though it was the worst error in assumption that had ever been made.
"What? But we made a deal, quid pro quo, remember?"
"I lied."
Bo was gobsmacked by how ignorant the detective had chosen to be, the idea that she had been played into talking first was more than enough to make her want to scream and stomp around like an angry little child, "that's not fair."
"Darling, life isn't fair, you should've learned that by now," the detective was avoiding looking at the brunette, uncertain as to whether or not her resolve would weaken if she caught those pouting puppy dog eyes.
"Why won't you ever talk to me? You still have walls up, even now, after everything," despair seeped through Bo's tone as she kept her disappointed gaze fixed upon the valkyrie.
"What do you want me to say?" Tamsin snapped, too quickly and too defensively than was necessary. Had her sights been on the other woman, it would have been ten times as worse. "I don't understand what you're trying to do here."
"What am I trying to do? I want you to let your defenses drop so that I can take care of you. God, Tamsin, you were the one tortured but I still feel like you're keeping me out, you fell apart in front of Kenzi and Lauren...but you can't even talk to me about it," Bo's complaints never ceased as she brought her hands up to grab lightly at the detective's shoulders, "I can tell that you're hurting inside, you don't have to be so strong all of the time. Just...just talk to me."
Talk to me.
The three words started to race around the blonde's brain in a speedy and uncomfortable circle, she was being pushed. All of the emotional stability she had tried to glue back together was breaking away, to the stage where she knew that Bo was going to get what she wanted; a front row seat to witness what was going on inside of the valkyrie's head.
"You want me to talk, huh? About what?" Tamsin's voice cracked within the second questioned and she urgently yanked herself away from the brunette, "I screwed up, is that what you want to hear? Does it make you feel happy to know that I'm admitting that I failed? I failed. I promised myself that, no matter what, I would keep you safe, but I didn't, did I? No, I almost lost you forever...and I didn't know how to deal with that, I couldn't cope," she tried to rush out her words so as to prevent the lump in her throat from catching up with her, "I still can't cope. Seeing you unconscious - suffering - on that bed...I couldn't do anything to help you, do you know how that makes me feel?" The blonde brought her index and middle finger up to press against her temple as her teeth gritted, she was crumbling, bit by bit, "the...the sheer thought that the person I love was in pain...and I couldn't save you from that, I couldn't make it stop," her voice shuddered.
Bo was overwhelmed to witness how disorientated the valkyrie was while speaking, everything she said sounded physically painful and she was unable to look up, the blonde was trying too hard to keep it all together again, "hey..."
When the brunette stretched her hand out as a sign of comfort she was willing to give, Tamsin jerked away, "don't," she croaked and twisted slightly, glancing up at the roof and then to the wall next to her, "don't do that."
Stopping, the other female's lips drew a thin line, her arm hanging in midair as she observed the struggles that the detective was hurdling through in order to refrain from expressing how upset she was. It wasn't hard to deduct that she was repressing more emotion than should be locked away inside.
With a sniffle, Tamsin caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror again and she was reminded of the toll of injuries that had been laid to rest on her body; the small cut on her lip being the first thing she spied. Then, against her safer judgement she lowered her head, roaming her eyes along her side, where she knew that Bo's name was carved underneath the jacket.
"Did The Morrígan do it?" The brunette asked, having followed the movements that her girlfriend made. She didn't want to put the valkyrie under any more hardship, but she also needed to know what had happened, so that she could offer as much support as possible.
"No," the blonde shook her head, "I done it to myself, technically," she brushed her fingers along the area, but when she felt the burn she knew to retract her digits back, "Evony wanted to reinstate Vex and myself, but I didn't join her, not even when she..." Cut? Scolded? Bruised? There were a manner of things which Tamsin's resistance had cost her. Losing the picture was still what she considered the worst aspect though. She cleared her throat and moved on, "anyway, she broke Vex by threatening to remove his hand and then as proof of his loyalty, she ordered him to execute me."
Bo's hand was clasping lightly over across her mouth as she listened to the details of the horrible event, maybe she hadn't expected it to be so gruesome, what could she say? No words were going to account for what had happened.
"I'm not angry with him, he was just looking out for himself, which is fair play," the valkyrie dismissed the mesmer's actions with surprising ease, "I goaded him into torturing me so that I could think of a plan to escape, so...he pulled through..."
"What you endured...Tamsin, you could have died, The Morrígan could've threatened to cut off your hand," Bo was only giving a lecture out of worry, because she didn't find appeasement in having the detective go through hell and back in the way that she had.
"She was going to carve out some of my insides, but she got a phone call before she was given the chance, I was relatively lucky," the blonde was staring down with zero enthusiasm, eyeing the wooden floorboards mournfully.
"Relatively lucky? That is crazy, she could have..." Bo was unwilling to accept that things were based to a degree of what was considered easy torture and what was ranked as severe punishment, either way, someone was still suffering, "...why didn't you agree with what she wanted? You could have saved yourself from...from everything, I'm not worth it, any of it."
"You are, to me," the valkyrie closed her eyes tightly, exhaling a broken breath.
"...Tamsin," the brunette went to take another step forward, but the detective was continuously guarded, repeating the same movement as before, she moved away, too proud to be seen as anything less than her usual image of fortitude.
"Please, don't," Tamsin held her hand out as a signal to stop Bo from trying to get closer to her, "I might not have surrendered to The Morrígan, but I did give up today, I had a picture of you...I carried it around with me everywhere and she burned it right in front of me."
"So that's why you're annoyed at her? Because she destroyed a photo of me?"
"You don't understand, it was more than just a 'photo', it was the only thing I had of you...it was my last shred of hope, the only possession I cared for...and you looked..." the valkyrie brought her hand up to rest across her eyes, "...you were beautiful, and I watched as that beauty turned into ash. I didn't have anything else."
"And here most people would be frightened to lose an organ, nevermind a picture," Bo would have smiled at the end of her words, but she couldn't persuade her cheeks to budge, "how could you not be scared?"
"I was terrified Bo, don't you get it? I didn't think that I was going to see you again, I...I kept...every time I thought about you, it comforted me...and it killed me, all at once, if you died...if you didn't survive..." Tamsin didn't get much further before a small sob ripped from her throat, and it stunned her more than it did the other woman given how she clamped her hand to her lips, "I was lost without you," she choked out, failing to hold in the stubborn tears that were leaving the ducts and burning down her cheeks. Great, there it finally was, she was regressing back to a crying mess in front of the woman she loved.
Bo's eyes narrowed from sympathy as she saw the way that the blonde was resorting to breathing through short gasps, "I was lost without you too," she ignored whatever restriction had manifested between them and walked inwards, only allowing herself to stop when she was in less than arm's reach away from the heartwrenching valkyrie, "and I'm proud of you Tamsin, the things you put yourself through...you've done so good. I understand that everything you've done has been for me."
No one had ever told the blonde that they were 'proud' of her, and it just so happened that the first person to say it was the only person she would have dreamed to hear it from. Life was hard enough as it was, but to have the knowledge that someone cared about what she done - what she was doing - it meant everything.
That was all she really wanted.
The dam to Tamsin's emotions gave way, even though she tried to stand upright and hold it all back, she couldn't.
And Bo didn't plan to let her either, she launched her arms around the blonde and drew her into a tight embrace. As expected, it was the last straw, making the detective crumble at last, she became a sobbing mess of tears and mewling as she fell into the brunette, hiding her face into the crook of her neck. Not that the latter minded, she was only too anxious as she wound her limbs as firmly as she could around her girlfriend.
"God, I'm so sorry, Bo, if I didn't hesitate to shoot the witch, none of this would have happened," Tamsin's regrets were muffled heavily into the side of the other female's throat as she clung desperately to her, "I...I'm sorry that I didn't tell you that I loved you, I should have said it...I should say it every day, every hour..."
"None of this is your fault," the brunette began to stroke her fingers along the detective's spine as she placed a kiss to the side of her head, followed by another, "I don't want you to apologize to me, just let me look after you, you're always taking care of me, it's your turn."
"How can you forgive me so quickly? I've done so many terrible things, I'm a bad person..." Tamsin cried a little harder, which also meant that she held on stronger to her partner, "I'm bad."
"Honey, whatever you are...it's all that I want," Bo answered and pulled back a little while she pressed light kisses along the blonde's jawline, "it is all that I'll ever want," she ran her left hand along the back of Tamsin's neck, tangling her fingers into her tresses, "and just so you know, if it came to it...I'd risk the world for you too," she gave the answer that the detective didn't expect to hear before she captured her lips with her own.
'She would risk everything for me...' Tamsin kept repeating to herself, shocked, 'Bo would give up everything for ME.'
As the valkyrie reciprocated to the contact currently situated between her mouth and the brunette's, she couldn't stop the intrusion from the other woman's tongue and to be fair, she wouldn't have desired to resist anyway. She could still sense how strongly Bo yearned for her, even without the added hunger of being a succubus and her own feelings were of equal magnitude. She done everything in her power to refrain from sobbing into the kiss, she let her guard down for a change, the need to be in complete control buried itself in the broken recess of her psyche.
Maybe this was the key to getting better, perhaps she had to fall apart so that Bo could pick up her pieces and put her back together again.
The brunette was obliging keenly as she flickered her tongue softly against the valkyrie's, coaxing the smallest of moans from her, she ran her hands to her hips and tentatively guided her in the direction of the bed. It occurred to her that Tamsin had been required on her feet twenty four hours of the day to solve the problems of everyone else, she must have been shattered. The contact between their lips broke momentarily as the blonde's legs knocked against the mattress and she took the chance to lower her down into a seated position while breathing raggedly against her mouth.
"I never wanted you to see me like this," Tamsin mumbled as searched Bo's gaze, soon getting lost somewhere within her warm hazel orbs.
"Crying isn't a weakness, it's a sign of strength to be able to express such a powerful emotion," the other female replied humbly as she brushed the pad of her thumbs along the detective's cheekbones to clear away the tear tracks.
"It sure feels pretty weak to me, but I know that you're just trying to make me feel better," pouting heavily, the valkyrie's eyes were still glistening in sorrow and failure, she even sniffled a couple of times while she watched the brunette standing above her.
"Well, it's my job to make you feel good," Bo was beginning to smile without a strenuous effort, although a juttering breath ran from her lips when she realized how what little eyeliner worn by Tamsin had smudged, "and you happen to look very sexy right now, you should cry more often."
"Bo," the blonde's nose scrunched, "I hate crying and more than that...I hate you seeing me cry," she mumbled and braced herself as the brunette clambered onto her lap, she had forgotten how complete she felt whenever they were this close. The hardships of the day had been worth it if this was to be her reward at the end.
The other female planted light kisses down each of the valkyrie's cheeks, to clear away the evidence of her sadness, "I know you do, but it's nice to see the woman behind the warrior every once in a while, I hate seeing you upset but I love taking care of you. Is that such a bad thing? To have someone in your life who wants to comfort you..." she continued and brought her lips along to Tamsin's ear, "...in this cold world?"
Unconsciously, the blonde's eyes fluttered when Bo's tantalizing words bounced into the shell of her ear, "you're never going to know how much you mean to me," she gave an answer of her own, allowing her body to be lowered back to the bed when the woman had chosen to guide her down, "I know that I can be an uptight, unemotional jackass...but you are the best part of me."
"I love you, Miss Jackass," Bo chuckled softly as she gripped a hold of the jacket Tamsin was wearing so that she could crawl back with her further onto the bed, "now let me take care of you," she demanded softly as she peeled the material down the valkyrie's shoulders and down her arms until she discard the piece of attire to the floor. Her eyes found the sights of the bruising as well as the name that was crudely carved into the female's side. Sighing gently she leaned down and kissed along some of the injuries, but her actions were kept light so that she didn't bring any discomfort, that was the last thing that she wanted.
Tamsin was unable to relax when she felt how the woman's lips were ghosting down to her side, where her most significant wound was. She could feel Bo's warm breath bouncing against the blood stained letters and she closed her eyes as tightly as she could. And then the kisses traveled lower, she sucked in a sharp breath when the succubus' tongue dipped in her bellybutton; her fingers curling beneath the waistband of her jeans, undoing to the button. "Wait," the valkyrie disrupted the moment as she brought one of her hands down so that she could tilt the brunette's chin up, "you don't have to do that."
Bo tilted her head, staring at the blonde through a gaze of confusion, "you don't want me to-"
"No, I do, believe me, but I just don't want you to feel as though you have to," the detective knew that she was making little sense, but it was just her respect for her relationship with the succubus that was doing the talking for her.
"My, my, am I actually starting to make an honorable woman out of you?" Bo teased as she felt the blonde give her a tug upwards. She exhaled and complied until she was laying directly atop the valkyrie, her fingertips crawled up to rest at her hipbones.
"Or maybe I just want to look at your beautiful face, honor has nothing to do with it," the detective was trying to grin lightly as she ran her fingers up the back of Bo's neck, pulling her close enough until she could nuzzle her nose.
"Are you sure? If I didn't know any better then I'd say that you are starting to warm up to me, you haven't called me a bitch in a long time," the brunette said as she rested her lips faintly over Tamsin's.
"That's because I love you," the valkyrie murmured slowly before her eyes narrowed slyly, "bitch," she whispered and stole a kiss from the woman. She could feel an instant smile from the brunette's waiting mouth.
The female was being gentle with the valkyrie as she started to caress her hands down and along her sides, "I don't want to hurt you, Tamsin, we can take things light until you feel better," she was being considerate as she spoke against the pleasantly soft kiss. Yes, she wanted to show the blonde just how much she meant to her, but not at the expense of causing her any discomfort. She acknowledged that the woman had been through more in this one day than most people would experience in a lifetime. "If you need space, if you need time then you can take as long as you need, I'll wait for you."
"It's funny," Tamsin murmured just as she released Bo's bottom lip from the gentle grazing of her teeth, "you talk about giving me space and time to heal...but I realized today that I don't want to be away from you for a single second. I've felt what it was like not to be with you and I'm not stupid enough to fall into that trap." The valkyrie was bringing her hands up so that she could start to unbutton the brunette's blouse. Inbetween her actions, she kept placing little kisses to her girlfriend's lips, which was uncharacteristically loving of her.
"But what about your shoulder...? Your thigh? All of the other wounds?" Bo struggled to get a coherent sentence out when she felt the blonde's lips traveling along her jaw, to the pulse of her neck. She grunted out a light moan and let the valkyrie strip her of her shirt.
"Maybe if I was delicate like Dyson or Lauren then I'd be whining like a sissy right now, but I can cope with it all," Tamsin bit down lightly against the brunette's neck and she could feel how she became tense with desire above her, "besides, I like the idea of you being the only human that I'll ever love...or touch."
"Mm, so in other words...you really do want to take advantage of every side there is to me? If I didn't know any better then I'd say you are pretty greedy..." Bo's voice slipped into another moan when the blonde caught her flesh between her lips and started to suck, slowly, "...de-detective..."
Submitting into her own desires became an easy task when Tamsin was intent on proceeding with intimacy. And even though she would keep caution with her at all times, she didn't want to lie to herself by saying that this absence and life or death nonsense hadn't created an astronomical longing for the valkyrie which was in desperate need of sating.
Tamsin needed to compensate for everything that she had lost and being with Bo certainly took away a lot of that pain, her hands smoothed across the woman's hips and hooked into the waistband of her trousers which she then tugged against. Her movement with one arm was greatly limited due to the dislocation earlier, but she was quite simply one hell of a tough blonde. "Maybe it is greedy, but I just enjoy taking what is mine," her voice was no more than a muffle into the female's neck as she worked her trousers down low enough until they were able to be kicked off from around her ankles and to the floor.
"And I'm yours?" Bo replied coyly as she finally saw to removing those pesky torn and tattered jeans that the valkyrie was wearing, although she had to start by undoing the crimson makeshift bandage from around her thigh.
"God, I hope so," the detective felt a slight sting in her leg injury when the brunette tugged the fabric a tad more thorough than expected, which caused her to wince,"ouch, what was that for?"
"That was for you and your crackshot response, when will you get it into that thick skulls of yours that I am devoting myself to you heart, body and soul? What is it going to take?" The former succubus was mumbling away to herself as she moved on to pry the blonde's jeans down, although this time she did take care when she was pulling the material past the point of the deep gash. "You know what? I shouldn't even engage in any intimacy with you tonight for that uncalled for jab."
"Oh please, as if-" Tamsin gave another cringe when her jeans were removed, "-ouch-" she was determined to finish her sentence as she glared up at the other female, "-as if you could resist me."
"Don't get too full of yourself, limpy, I can put my foot down on this anytime that I want."
"Ha ha, very funny," the valkyrie growled lightly when she heard the unintended pun in her girlfriend's words, "who knew that a person like you was even capable of setting ground rules when it came to sex."
Bo's eyes became wide and she pointed a stern index finger down at the blonde, "that better not have been a short way of you calling me a whore again!"
"Whore? No, I was going for slut that time!"
"You are the most impossible woman on the face of this planet! Urgh!"
"Me!? Oh that's nice, reallll nice, you were the one who chained me along like a puppy while you were banging the doctor! YOU are the impossible one here!" The scene must have looked odd with both females in their undergarments, arguing with one another, but it didn't seem as though it was going to calm down.
Bo was staring down Tamsin, and Tamsin was glaring up at Bo.
"At least Lauren doesn't constantly criticize me and she isn't afraid to open up to me!"
"Then maybe you should go and talk to her instead, since you want some weak little girl that'll wail and pour her heart out to you!"
"Fine!" The brunette huffed and got off of the valkyrie's lap, storming across to the door, without even considering dressing into any of her discarded clothes again.
"Fine!" Tamsin batted back with the same answer, childishly.
As Bo got to the door, she hauled it open, casting a glare across her shoulder, "and to think I was going to actually give you another photograph of me, well you can cross that off your wish list, blondie!"
"Great, that's just perfect...because I didn't even want another stupid picture of you anyway! You've saved me some wallet space!"
"You stubborn egomanical bitch!"
"You ludicrous cleavage whore!"
There was a slam from the door as Bo stormed out of the room, presumably keeping her agitation with her all the way along the corridor.
A solid frown sat across the valkyrie's features for moments of silence before she cocked her head in confusion. What the HELL had just happened there? Where did that drama even come from? That argument transpired so quickly that she didn't even know what it meant. Although the haze of pent up frustration had cleared from her mind quickly, letting reality sink back in. Neglecting her bodily pains and aches she automatically sat up, swung both legs over the edge of the bed and stood up so that she could march to the door.
She intended to reach out for the handle, but the trouble was saved for her when the Bo walked straight back into the room.
"Bo, I'm so-" The blonde's apology was interrupted with the way that the other female had raced right at her.
"-I am so sorry!" Bo had been saying the exact same phrase, but she was persistent enough to finish as she threw her arms around Tamsin and crashed their lips together as needily as she could.
The valkyrie was rapid to circle her limbs around her girlfriend's waist, "I should never have said those things to you," she was trying to mumble as best as she could, feeling herself being urged back toward the bed by her better half, whom she was also pulling with her.
"I didn't mean those things either," Bo's words were hard to hear with the way she didn't want to take her mouth away from the detective's, she was keeping their lips as close as possible as though they were means of oxygen support for one another.
"I know that you're mine."
"And I don't want a wailing girl, I love your stubbornness."
"Well I love your cleavage."
"That's good because I love your bitchiness also!"
"And I really, really, really want to have another photograph of you!"
By the time that they were done with their prattling list about what they loved and wanted, Tamsin was back against the mattress with Bo crawling on top of her again. They were back to deep and heated kisses, as well as hungry gropes against one another's curves. It seemed as though they had made up very quickly after their immature bickering, which was over nothing at all really, although it most likely started due to their need to vent their recent frustrations. Only, they had been in the line of each others fire.
Bo was already grinding her clothed crotch sharply into Tamsin's; the action being able to draw heavy moans and pants from either woman. The heat of the debate must have hyped them up by quite a jump.
The valkyrie's spine arched when her girlfriend's hand suddenly intruded beneath her underwear, cupping her center with an astute firmness and possession. It stripped away all of her resistance like a knot and bolt being broken from a wall. Not that she was trying to fight in the first place though. Compared to being tortured by The Morrígan, this was paradise and she melted into the sensation of feeling Bo's palm and fingers start to rock and knead against her. "Oh," she whined in pleasure and tried to shimmy her hips into the movement, "God."
"Most people just call me Bo," the brunette grinned and then slid her tongue into the detective's mouth to have a more connected kiss with her and as usual she was met with an equal amount of fire and fight from Tamsin's muscle, if not more. Their teeth were clashing and their lips smacking constantly while she ran two her her fingers through the velvety sensitive folds of flesh, but she made no forward moves as of yet. A little pleasure torture never went wrong after all.
Tamsin reacted by groaning and wrapping her most capable arm around Bo's neck so that she could run her fingers through her hair. She tangled into the dark locks and gave her lover a slight tug to break the kiss so that she could pant to her, "Bo," the slight plead was hardly taken into the account when the female's tongue swiped along her bottom lip in a way that made all of her insides burn with more want.
"Tell me that you need me," Bo reached up with her unoccupied hand so that she could grasp at the valkyrie's wrist, pulling the contact away from her hair, instead she interlocked their fingers tightly and pinned the blonde's arm down to the pillow, "tell me that you know I'm yours."
"Let go of my hand and you've got yourself a deal," the valkyrie tried to bargain, "let me touch you and I'll tell you what you wanna hear."
"No dice," the female was grinning as she hovered her lips over the blonde's, "this isn't about me, you aren't getting all of the control this time."
"Dominated by a human, huh?"
"Don't act like it bothers you, cause I know that it doesn't," Bo was very sure of herself as she kissed along the detective's jaw, "sure, if it was any other human then they would never get this chance with you, but because it's me..." she began to stretch her words out while she dipped a single digit into Tamsin before retracting again, "...I bet it turns you on way too much."
The valkyrie couldn't prevent her pelvis from bucking, words rushing free from her lips, "shit, Bo, oh...don't do this to me, haven't I suffered enough? If you don't quit with the foreplay then you'll see me cry twice today."
"You're so adorable when you get all hot and bothered like this," the brunette whispered as she dragged her tongue across the shell of the blonde's ear, feeling her shudder beneath, "just tell me what I want to hear and I'll make you forget about your pain. You might not have given in to Evony, but you'll definitely submit to me, won't you...lover?"
Even the idea of relenting was something that made the valkyrie feel weak inside, but Bo was having a way with her tonight where she couldn't refuse, "fine," she said through a moan while the female's lips and tongue kept playing around with her ear, "I need you Bo, I'm always going to need you and I know that you belong to me, only me."
"Good girl," Bo purred in satisfaction and followed up her appeasement as she surged two of her fingers into her lover's warmth. The valkyrie gasped and writhed beneath her, but she kept her settled by pressing down tighter into her body, beginning to thrust her digits in and out. The pace was steady to begin with and even soft to a degree, she was testing to see how capable the female's body was and so far there were no signs of discomfort.
Tamsin was clamping on with desperation to Bo's hand as she urged her pelvis into the rhythmic that was intruding below her groin, "God, Bo...right there..." she failed to keep her noises low key, closing her eyes tightly so that she could resort to a psychological way of coping with the onslaught of pleasure.
"You always feel so wonderful," the brunette was turning to her usual tactic of whispering sweet nothings into the valkyrie's ear, knowing how it would only amplify her arousal to a higher degree. Somehow she had established that sweet talking the female drove her crazy. Even as the words started to leave, she could feel the blonde's hips bucking harder. She added to the action by angling the thrusts of her fingers so that she could reach the female's g-spot with ease.
"Oh...my...God!" Tamsin exclaimed blissfully and already she could feel the distinct heat and tightening sensations starting to manifest inside of her. With all of the high strung emotions and unrelenting foreplay, she was going to give in too quickly and she knew it. Her breaths were leaving in short pants while she somehow summoned the willpower to settle her other arm down by her girlfriend's waist in order to grab at her hip, "I'm going to...I can't..."
The brunette found herself cutting into the valkyrie's sentence as she purred into her ear, "let go for me, baby," she spoke before her lips trailed down Tamsin's neck, kissing and nipping at the pale skin. Her digits curled and pushed deeper which she knew was effective when her lover's nails dug into her hipbone, and also she could feel her walls tightening around her fingers.
Sufficed to say, with the added thoroughness, the valkyrie's dam of resistance fell apart and she was left gasping and crying out as her release swept through her. Bo was tending to her pained body with her own weight, making sure that she didn't writhe around too violently. Her insides and muscles felt like wildfire was racing through them as she submitted to the overwhelming orgasm. With everything she had endured it felt twice as intense, which was also ironic given that it was a human who was causing her such blinding bliss. The high state was making her brain feel light and she was rolling her head back on the pillow, whimpering and moaning Bo's name on a continuous loop.
By the time that she had started to descend back into reality, she was immensely grateful for the way that the brunette had been working her through it all. Her eyes closed when she felt the female slip out of her and she slumped back fully against the mattress, breathing raggedly.
If this was what happened when Bo got control, she may need to allow it more often.
"Wow...that was..." Tamsin remained mindblown as she tried to remind herself on what actual vocabulary was.
"Not bad for a human, huh?" The brunette was wearing a charming grin as she inched down so that she could kiss along the detective's neck, finally, she had released the lock between their hands in order to skirt her fingers along the blonde's ribcage.
"Oh, it has nothing to do with humanity, that was all you," the valkyrie huffed out a breathless chuckle, yet it drained into a low moan as Bo's warm mouth blanketed the side of her throat with impassioned kisses, "yep, it was definitely all you."
"I guess I'm just too addicted to you," the other female murmured gently.
"Here's hoping that you don't ever have to suffer withdrawal symptoms for that."
"Stay right here with me in this bed and I promise that I won't."
"Sweetheart, after that little performance I ain't going anywhere," Tamsin started to grin tiredly, although the expression started to fade, "but I thought you said that the doc was coming over? I don't suppose you want to cancel that little appointment so that we can just...spend some time together?"
Bo leaned up slightly so that she was staring down at the beautiful woman beneath her, with a sigh she began to stroke her hands against her cheeks, "what about your injuries? I think that it would be best if she tended to them straight away."
"Hm, you might not have heard but I have this girlfriend and recently she and I haven't seen each other too much. She was on her death bed and I was in the merry land of torture and torment, so I'd kinda like to have some privacy with her...she's very dependent on me, you see."
"She sounds like a real keeper."
"Oh, she is," the valkyrie confessed without any quarrels and circled an arm around the female's waist, "and she is also very beautiful, a little infuriating and incredibly kind."
"Tamsin..." Bo said in one of those embarrassed ways, "...stop, I'm blushing," she added through a bright smile and kept her eyes on the detective, "Evony must've really hit your head around, you're never usually this sweet to me...what's going on?"
The blonde couldn't deny that it was cute with the way that the other woman acted as though she was feeling around her head for some sort of a bump or bruise. She rolled her eyes playfully and ran her fingers along Bo's spine, "alright, alright, knock it off will you? I'm not trying to be sweet, I was being honest, now can you just cancel things with the doc? I guarantee you that I can survive the night, I have you after all."
"At least I know that your stubbornness never leaves you," Bo chuckled and stretched her arm out so that she could grab over her phone from the wooden counter next to the bed, "fine, I'll let Lauren know that we'll be fine for the night and if it makes you feel better I'll even tell Dyson to let Kenzi spend the night at his place."
"Thank you," Tamsin wore a smug grin on her lips, pleased with the fact that she was getting what she wanted. This evening had been more dramatic than she had anticipated, she had been on a tour around all of her emotions, from crying to arguing and now she was feeling peaceful. Her life was very strange when she wasn't at full power, clearly. While the brunette started to send the messages across to the others, she took a moment to admire the way that she looked so focused while typing up a simple text.
"Like what you see, detective?" Bo hummed unconsciously as she kept her eyes on the small screen of the phone, but she had noticed that the other female was watching her due to her peripheral vision being constantly active.
"Yup," the valkyrie started to sit herself up a little, "I do."
Bo's lips were breaking into a happy smile as she finished sending across the brief message to both recipients, she had been about to place her phone back onto the small bedside table, but then she stopped and glanced curiously to the detective, "I still owe you a photograph, don't I?"
The very mention of the picture caused Tamsin to perk up immediately, "yes," she may have sounded a little desperate so she tried to tone it down while nodding, "I mean, if that's alright with you."
"Well I don't have an actual camera on me, but I could use the one installed on my phone...then I'll send it to Dyson and have him print it out or something...but I have one condition."
"Okay, what condition is that?"
"I want it to be a picture of the two of us."
The detective's nose started to scrunch and she tilted her head to the side, "what? Why? I'm not very photogenic, honestly, I'll just take one of you."
As the valkyrie tried to reach out for the mobile device, Bo began to laugh and took a very soft hold of her chin, "honey, we both know that's a lie, I'd sell my soul to have a picture of you, you are more than photogenic. And you're so not getting away with that lame ass excuse."
"But..."
"No 'buts', we both need to get a picture together, so budge up," the brunette unsaddled the detective's lap and continued to grin when she watched how reluctant she was to sit up with her back against the headboard. Seeing that there were no arguments about that, Bo moved to position herself so that she was sitting next to her, "now, ready?"
Tamsin could feel the female leaning into her in some sort of semi-hug, she wasn't used to such normality within a relationship. 'Is this what couples actually do?' She asked herself while she saw the way that Bo was flipping the phone around, holding it out in front of them, preparing to prove what an ace photographer she really was. "Sure," the detective said...eventually.
Not another second passed before there was a small click as the brunette pushed in the button.
"There we go," Bo exhaled a relieved sigh, smiling brightly as she brought the phone back around so that she could see the end result. Although said smile rapidly dropped, "oh my God, are you rolling your eyes? Seriously?"
"What?" Tamsin frowned slightly as she leaned forward, but then when she saw the picture that had been taken her expression softened, "oops."
"Alright, we'll try again...now just smile this time."
...several awkward attempts later...
Bo was shaking her head, exasperated, "you are the most unbelievable woman that I have ever met!"
"Oh, come on...there was nothing wrong with any of the ones you just took," Tamsin sulked and rested her chin on the other female's shoulder, so that she could over look the phone screen.
"Are you kidding? Hmph, lets review the evidence shall we..." Bo said as she started to scroll through the images that had been taken within the past few minutes, "you look bored here," she said before switching to the next one, "you're winking here," again she moved on, "in this one you are staring at my cleavage and not the screen-"
"Ah-ha!" Tamsin interrupted and pointed at the next image on show, "look, you are the one rolling your eyes in this one, not me!"
"That is because you were groping my breast, you goof!"
"Don't pretend that you didn't enjoy it," the valkyrie trailed her lips to Bo's neck, nibbling against the flesh, "your breast just said 'grab me' so I did."
"Tamsin," the other female was breathing lightly, tempted to tip her head to grant the detective's wandering lips as much access as she could, "come on babe, we need to get a picture of you with a smile on your pretty face, please?"
The valkyrie sighed and gave a slow nod, she had never really been the type to throw herself in a lot of photographs, but being with Bo was important to her so she could make an exception for that. She slipped her arms around the brunette's waist and rested the side of her head against hers, "okay, I'm ready this time," she said as she willed a light smile to cross her lips.
"That's my girl," the former succubus was already in a positive frame, able to smile brightly as she clicked in the button, hopefully for a final time. And after a moment she let the phone process the function before she turned it around to take a look and this time her eyes lit up, "this is perfect."
"I'll say," Tamsin closed her eyes and circled her limbs tighter around the woman, "it's nice that you...uh...you wanted me involved."
"Of course I did," Bo wore a quirky expression as she looked back to the detective, "you are my girlfriend now, I want to share absolutely everything with you, if you'll let me."
"Well, if there's one person in this colossal globe of animus and desolation that I would share everything with, then it would be you," Tamsin affirmed in her usual choice of 'happy' wordplay.
"You are always so romantic," the brunette was starting to lean in for a kiss, although when she had chosen to run her fingers through the valkyrie's hair, she was unwillingly surprised to find that a single stray lock had come away, "what the..."
When Tamsin's eyes had caught a sight of what had happened, she inhaled shakily and took a hold of Bo's hand so that she could lower it away from her face, "that's nothing, just an effect of the stress lately."
Bo placed her phone back onto the counter so that she could turn around, her eyes were glimmering with concern, "why don't I believe you? You always pull away when you are trying to lie to me, do you know that? It's a habit of yours that I've caught onto, so don't try to take me for a fool, what's going on Tamsin?"
"I'm a valkyrie, Bo, this is just what happens to me..."
"And what exactly is happening to you? The last time I checked a person's hair wasn't supposed to fall away like deadweight, please tell me that you're going to be alright."
The detective nodded as she ran her fingers along the female's side, "I'll be fine, I don't want you to have to worry, I can deal with it, I'd rather talk to you about all of this in the morning," she wasn't taking no for an answer, so she unlooped her arms from around the other woman and moved so that she could lay back down against the mattress.
Somehow Bo couldn't budge the look of dread from her face, but she respected that the valkyrie would discuss it with her under the light of a new day, "okay, but we're talking about it first thing," she said sternly as she also lowered herself the bed, "I can't have you dealing with everything by yourself all of the time."
"That's because you're damn persistent," Tamsin closed her eyes and started to breathe heavily.
"No, it is because I'm madly in love with you," Bo returned with truer words as she snuggled herself in close to the blonde's side.
The valkyrie wrapped her arm around the female to keep her in close, for a sense of protectiveness and comfort, she had never been one for sleeping in the company of someone else, but she liked being in Bo's presence, "if it means anything then I'm just as deliriously in love with you too."
"It means everything," the brunette placed a single kiss to her girlfriend's shoulder, "now try to get some rest, God knows you deserve it."
"Sure..." The blonde mumbled, her voice sounding more drowsy and tired as she closed her eyes. With everything she had gone through lately, she had been in dire need of rest and recovery.
So, it didn't take exceptionally long until sleep had crept in on her, although she could feel a lot of aches inside of her body while she was unconscious and it wasn't due to the injuries she had received. No, it was from a whole new problem - or rather - an old problem that she had been facing throughout her entire life.
It had taken no more than an hour of heavy sleep before Tamsin was stirring herself awake from pure discomfort. Her heavy eyes fought to open and by the time she was sitting up, she became aware that Bo was resting next to her peacefully, oblivious to anything that was going on. The valkyrie's heart was racing and she was clutching a hand furiously to her chest as she started to pant and gasp, through willpower alone she was keeping her noises to herself as much as she could, "no, no, no," she began to mumble as she stretched her hand out as though she was intending to try and nudge the other woman awake, "not...now..." Before her fingers could graze Bo's shoulder, she felt another dose of aches shooting throughout her entire body. Despite her efforts to keep herself together, she staggered from the bed and tossed on her shirt before she sauntered painfully to the door. Her hands were forced to clutch onto the walls as a desperate need of support while she intended to reach the bathroom, although there were a few complications before she had been able to make it there as planned.
Come the very next morning, Bo was stirring from the heavy sleep that she had been a subject to. Usually she was light when it came to resting, but somehow after all the ordeals lately she really must have needed to zone out of the world. Her tired eyes were beginning to open as she rolled onto her side and drifted her arm out in hopes of making sure that she could pull the valkyrie into her. Although when all she felt was thin air and emptiness, she groaned and was reduced to gazing earlier than she wanted, "Tamsin?" She called the female's name in a drowsy voice and started to prop up onto one of her elbows. It took her moments until she realized that the detective was nowhere to be found within the room. She sat upright and grabbed her shirt over from the counter next to her so that she could slip it back on. "Tamsin?" For a second time she was asking out for the female, but she wasn't receiving an answer, "where in the world has she gotten off to this time?"
Just as she rose from the bed in order to redress into her dark jeans, she jolted when she heard a small crash from along the hallway. Bo's heart jumped for no reason other than startlement and she halved the time to pull her trousers back onto her body, doing up the zip and the button. "What the hell was that?" She asked herself as she made her way to the door and exited from the room. Her eyes became wide when she saw that a few of the items on the wooden shelves had been knocked over, as if some sort of struggle had gone down. Had someone broken in while she was asleep? Did Tamsin get into a fight of some sort? So many questions circled her head and she cursed herself for not grabbing a weapon out of her room while she made her way down the hall. In fact, just as she was passing by, she heard a creak coming from within the bathroom.
Immediately Bo stopped in her tracks and turned her attention to the ajar door.
Something felt very wrong here, and she couldn't explain why she was unnerved. Maybe she wanted to believe that the valkyrie was playing some joke on her, but this felt too serious for simple tomfoolery.
The brunette steeled her nerves as she reached out to push open the wooden door, her breath was hitching in the back of her throat and her palms were sweating lightly from anticipation.
In the next millisecond, she purged the fear from her mind and shoved the wooden frame open until it nearly swung off it's hinges and it was sufficed to say that what she saw left her wide eyed and very surprised...
...there appeared to be a small girl stood atop the closed lid of the toilet seat, reaching up for the latch of the window.
And what was more shocking was that she was dressed in a shirt too oversized for her age. The same shirt that belonged to the valkyrie. Come to think of it, the fact that she had fair hair and wasn't exactly gentle when near the glass were traits that scratched too close to the edge of resembling the same woman.
Bo's jaw was starting to drop slightly, "holy mother of Aphrodite, how long have I been asleep for?"
Theories were racing through her head like there was no tomorrow; did Tamsin have a little sister? A daughter? Hell, did she sex the valkyrie up too much last night and break all rules of logic and reality by miraculously impregnating her so that it led to this...? Crazy early morning theories indeed.
While the turmoil sieged inside of her head, she was frozen on the spot, totally unprepared for the way that the young girl had cast a defensive glare in her direction which was followed by a nose scrunch.
The simple expression gave it all away.
"Oh my God," Bo became dumbfounded as she finally pieced it together, "Tamsin!?"
WOW! I feel like I personally have to apologize to each and every one of you for this absurd delay in updating, it seems as though everything really does get hectic over the Christmas period! I've been running around nonstop, although never fear! I'm still up to date with Lost Girl and I still sail with the Valkubus ship more than ever! xD
So, as you can probably guess Tamsin has gone through the rebirth process in this latest chapter - I'd wanted to do it for a while, but I desired to see the take that the show had on it first. Also, for future reference when it comes to the stage that Tammy will be in her teen years, I can't help but imagine her looking exactly like how Rachel Skarsten did in Birds of Prey, if you haven't seen how awesome she looks, you should check her out...she's so young and freakin' adorable!
I mean don't get me wrong, I LOVED both of the girls who played young/teen Tamsin in the show, but since I'm writing compared to watching I just have to visualize that it's a young RSkar. It's a personal preference. Although each to their own! c':

Purple-Ketchup - Little Tamsin was the cutest thing in the world! But what about those badass valkyrie wings? I've just fallen further in love with her character...and don't even get me started on the crazy TamTam dance off in 4x05! ;D
But I felt horrible making Evony burn Tamsin's picture, it was like she took away her favorite toy. :'(
summersunshine8 - Believe me if I had the power then I would definitely draw that image especially for you to see! I think it's awesome that you'd even want to see it in the first place too! *super high five* xD
Shannon1419 - Thank you darlin'! I know that this delay has been the longest for an update, but it won't happen again! :'D
LukeJames - Oh they are certainly back together, I mean since there hasn't been an awful lot of Valkubus in the fourth season so far then I want to make up for it all by writing as much Bo/Tamsin scenes together as I can! c':
BSwifty1997 - Well believe me, in future times to come I'm sure that Tamsin is going to be speaking her native language a lot more often!
And I loved finally writing about the Valkubus reunion! The two of them are going through every emotion in this chapter, from all the highs to the lows so I hope that you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it for you! xD
FlipChick23 - Knowing Bo, she'll be having some conflict about getting her powers back, since Lauren is telling her one thing and Tamsin is telling her another, poor succubabe! ;)
Ana - Why hello there again, just to let you know I haven't fallen off the face of the planet, I'm still around! ;D
First of all let me say that I hope that your exams have gone alright for you, I've never been a fan of having to put pen to paper and answer loads of questions within a certain period of time. *shudders* I remember that I studied Physics for three years, I was the only girl in my class...fun times!
And you're blonde! That is super duper awesome! Is it true what they say, do blondes really have more fun? It's never a bad thing to try and become more and more like Tamsin, I've become so much more snarky thanks to all of the time I spend trying to write from her character POV.
I'm so glad to know that you've enjoyed the last chapter and I also apologize for taking longer than expected to put this one up. Y'know how hectic life can get sometimes. I think I've only had about 6 hours of sleep within the past two days! x]
AH! I'm so glad that you saw that little meaning behind the scar on Tamsin's side, because it definitely brands that she belongs to Bo, but as you said it's a more twisted show of love. I don't think that Tammy would actually want it removed if she had the chance.
But I like your thinking about the idea of a young reborn Tamsin snooping around and generally testing Bo's parental/babysitting skills. Believe me though, if an eighteen/nineteen year old teen Tammy is around then methinks that there is going to be some hormones hitting off of the walls. Bo is definitely going to be putting her self control to the test although she will probably be like, "hmm...I can reteach Tamsin everything she needs to know about love." ;D
Also, have you been watching the latest episdoes of Lost girl!?
I fangirl out to the max whenever Rachel is on screen, although I hate to see that for some reason the DyBo and Doccubus relationship are on sail. I NEED MY VALKUBUS!
Oh well...at least I can still write about it then we can all enjoy it together! c':
P.S - Go for it! You have my blessing to use anything you want from this fic if it helps to inspire you with your own! I love HP! So I'll definitely have to check out your work! x]
Detective Broadway - I LOVE YOU AND YOUR REACTION! It made my day... ;D
Dark Lord Daishi - Exactly, finally there is going to be some Valkubus again, I can live and breathe happily! ;D
Now if only we could see more Bo/Tamsin scenes in the actual show, then we'd be having a double win and everyone can enjoy life to the max!
tuk1917 - Thank you very much for taking the time to read/write the reviews, I always find it refreshing to know that people are still enjoying the fic from the offset! c':
Guest(s) - I'm so sorry for the late late late LATE late update guys! I could describe how hectic life has been but I wouldn't want to bore you with the details, instead we can just relax and get back on track with some Valkubus lovin'! ;D
It's actually really warming to know that you are enjoying reading the fic and if my absence is helping to inspire you to continue on with your writing then at least some good has come from my lateness to give an update (not that I plan on going anywhere though mind you!) And I'm really hoping that all of your exams have gone well for you also! Fingers crossed! And regardless of the outcome, you can always kick back and relax and enjoy reading some more of this fic! I'll always be here for you! *wipes tear*
But on another note, I'm so honored to know that you have been reading this from day one! Thank you for being kind and devoted enough to continue on reading with everything I've written so far, I'm immensely grateful! Words probably don't do justice to how happy it makes me! :'D
Puppets' Master - Did you just call me your Goddess? My my, I think that is the most flattering title that I've ever had! I feel so...so happy! *wipes tear*
There is no need to worry about me, you lovely and wonderful example of perfection! I feel like I've stepped into Tamsin's shoes and have fallen off the radar for a month! Or maybe I'm like Bo...apart from the whole jumping off the train part, I don't have the courage to do that!
I'VE MISSED YOU! *Gives a billion hugs*
I hope you have been doing well in my absence!
Have you been watching through the new season of Lost Girl? It is pretty awesome, apart from the lack of Valkubus...I can't believe that Bo and Tamsin have had only one vital scene with each other, good heavens, what is the world coming to these days?
And p.s, you are always in my thoughts too! You amazingly, stunningly, inventively, poetically, awesomely epitome of everything that is gracious in the world! XD
Ari14 - Not to fear! I SHALL GIVE YOU LOADS MORE CHAPTERS NOW! Thank you so much for considering this one of the best! That means so much to me! Your lovely words are like an early Christmas present for me...yay! You're awesomeeee! x'D
urbanlb - *Sneakily updates the fic and hands it across to you* There you go, love! x]
Kstewlover1 - Never fear my friend, another chapter you shall recieve, followed by another and another! I will gladly continue these adventures between TamTam and BoBo for you! I hope you enjoy the latest update and also, thank you for the awesome review in the first place! ;]
