Fang POV:

I can't believe I agreed to this. I mean, it's great that I get to meet Max's friends and stuff, but… really? A quadruple date? How middle school could this get. All we need is an adult chaperone and a yardstick to complete the lameness.

Not that I mind seeing Max all dressed up.

Don't get me wrong. Max is hot every day of the week, but her usual fashion choices consist of things that you would probably see in the closet of a teenage boy who is a tad out of touch with the world. You catch by drift, right? However, tonight seems to be a special occasion… she probably lost a bet. DAMN, but does she ever look fine. Between the heels, big doe eyes, and dress that flatters… certain aspects, I almost can't keep my cool.

Actually, now that I think about it, I guess she does usually dress up for shows. Every time I ask her about it she just gets an angry look in her eyes and growls something that sounds like 'fudge' under her breath. No idea what's up with that—it is probably in my best interest to leave it alone.

I look dreamily at the stage. Mmm. Don't tell Iggy, but I kinda get what he means about animal costumes… those wings are hot. They give Max a dangerously sexy edge. I know, I know, sexist pig speaking… but still- hot potato.

I like watching the TAE's gigs. It is a lot easier to sketch STWAOES while looking at the band. It gets me in an Avian American mood. I wonder if I should tell Max about this. I mean, it is kinda nerdy and I have no idea what she'll think of it, but I don't want to keep secrets regardless of how small. It shouldn't be a big deal—once someone knows about my suitcase of coffee there isn't really any going back anyways.

I continue watching the band and sketch idly. I hope I don't her friends. I plan on being with Max for a very long time, so it would suck if we can't get along.

Sighing heavily and standing up, I roughly run my hands through my longish dark hair. Okay, then. Here we go.

Max POV:

Fang and I walk into Ella's garage—the previously agreed meeting place.

This is weird.

This feels weird.

For a moment the eight of us just stand there and stare at each other awkwardly.

Then, Fang spots the pale boy standing next to Maya and breaks out in a grin.

"Yo! Igs! What are you doing here, man?"

Igs, or whatever his name is, crows excitedly, "Fang, man! Is that you, bro? I should be asking you the same thing! I'm here because my girl, Maya, wanted to introduce me to her friends."

Fang and his friend continue talking, and everyone in the room seems to deflate and relax.

Nudge skips over to me with a cute blonde boy in tow.

"Max! Max! Hi! Is that guy over there Fang? He is totally hawt! OH! But not as hot as my darling. Oh, yeah. I should probably introduce you guys. Max. Gazzy. Gazzy. Max. I've been dating Gazzy for almost a year now. I love him so much! ZOMG. Isn't he just totally adorable?!"

I chuckle and shake Gazzy's hand. He grins mischievously and rolls his eyes at Nudge.

I give Nudge an approving look. There is something I like about this Gazzy kid. It is something about the twinkle in his eyes, his devilish smile, and the pure love he seems to have for Nudge. I wonder what Gazzy stands for? Something to think about at a later time- I've got other things to do right now.

I stroll over to where Ella is standing chatting with her date and go to introduce myself. "Hey, Ella. What's up?"

"Max! This is so fun! Lemme introduce ya'll. Max, this is my boyfriend Sam. Sam, this is-"

Sam interrupts her, "Max, right? I think we go to school together?"

I reexamine his face, and he looks vaguely familiar but I don't really remember him.

Sam seems to see my confusion, "I've seen you around at lunch sometimes. I don't really expect you to remember me; it isn't like I've ever really talked to you."

"Oh. That's good then. I was feeling kinda bad."

I give Ella an awkward look and make motions towards Fang. She seems to understand and reassuringly motions for me to go. "Well, Sam. We shouldn't keep Max from her date." Refocusing on me as she leads Sam towards Nudge and Gazzy, she adds, "I'll come meet Fang later, Max."

Well. That was awkward. Sam seemed nice enough, but there is just something off about him that I can't put my finger on. Probably not something I should worry too much about. Whatever.

I sneak up behind Fang and poke him in the kidneys. "HYAA!"

He jumps about a foot in the air and turns to glare at me, "What the crap, Max?"

I giggle and kiss him lightly on the cheek. I can't help it. He looks like a puppy when he's mad- with his scrunched up eyebrows and pouty mouth. I scrutinize Fang's friend. Hmm. He seems to be blind—judging from the blank look in his eyes and the way he's holding himself. Probably shouldn't make a big deal about it.

"Nothin'. Who's your buddy?"

"Iggy."

I raise my eyebrows at his short response.

Iggy seems offended by it too, "Seriously man? That's all I get? 'Iggy'? That's cold. Ice cold. For your information, ma'am, I'm his best friend. One of his only friends. We're bros, yo. Now you, you wouldn't happen to be Max, would you? Like, THE Max. The one I've been hearing Fangy-boy here wax poetic about for months?"

I snicker and mouth 'months' at Fang mockingly. Oh my. Is that pink I see on Fangy poo's cheeks and ears? Aww. He's blushing. I like this Iggy kid. Anybody who can make Fang blush is a friend of mine.

I turn back to Iggy, "That would be me. Assuming there isn't another Max on the premise. Oy, Maya. You get acquainted with Fang and all?"

Maya smiles gently at me and nods.

"Cool. Then Fang and I are gonna blow this joint. I'm beat."

I hug all the girls goodbye and hustle Fang out into the night air. As much as I love my friends, I much prefer being alone with Fang.

We walk in silence admiring the stars and I steal a glance sideways, "That wasn't so bad, was it?"

He chuckles and draws me close, "Not at all. Your friends are great."

I grin and cuddle closer, "That Iggy dude ain't bad, either."

Fang growls, "Remind me to kill him later, yeah? Now that I think about it, there is one thing that could make this night better."

"Oh? And what would that be?" I ask innocently.

Fang winks as he slowly draws my face closer to his.

A/N

I don't even want to think how long it has been. Honestly, some depressing stuff happened in my life that made me very apathetic about everything for a while.

I have also been dreading writing this chapter. It was necessary, but a pain to write.

Kinda a fillerish chapter, but I hope that you enjoyed it anyways, loves.

Reviews would be appreciated.

XXxx Goodnight loves.
