Parallel Hearts Chapter 25
Zero wakes up from his nap to a sudden shift on the unnamed ship and falls off his bed, the audino that was healing him giggles to the reason why this happened, "heh, looks like Mega figured out how to drive this thing."
The treecko sighs as he shakes his head from the sudden shift, "yeah, but he doesn't know how to do it steadily, Violet." He decided to name her 'Violet' because her fur was accidently dyed when she was born and they couldn't remove it since then, but he's kinda glad that happened considering he doesn't want all the nurse pokemon to look the same.
Violet smiles as she picks up Zero back on the bed to heal him once more, "Heal Pulse," she puts her hands in front of stomach, leaving space between them, and channels her energy into the space. She releases the energy towards Zero, healing his wounds as he relaxes again to get some peaceful sleep.
Mega realizes how fast the giant machine can truly go all at once and gently pushes the steering wheel forward, making the behemoth move forward much slower and more gently this time. He smiles at the progress he's making and pushes the wheel more for it go faster, it didn't go as fast as before, but it does softly increase in speed.
Soon enough, it leaves the facility ground, crushing the gate in the front with it's massive wheels, and goes a fair distance as it stops when he pulls back the steering wheel. He grabs the microphone next to the steering wheel, "ok Midori, now you can blow it up," he announces.
Midori hears the signal and happily presses the button she's been holding onto. She waits for the explosion to occur, but nothing seems to happen after five minutes. She presses the buttone once more and nothing happened again.
She growls in anger and throws the remote down against the floor, "why isn't there an expl-" interrupting her was an explosion, after that, another explosion occurred, and another, all from the research facility. Midori smiles as the explosions occurs, now she can rest peacefully, knowing that innocent pokemon don't have to suffer the same awful fate as everyone else who were in there. All the results, all the data and files of the pokemon experimentation, everything... gone along with the bursting flames of destruction.
She watches as it continues to explode, then the ship starts moving again, "Where should we go from here?" Breaker asks a good question.
"I don't know either, but we can't stay here," Midori answers, "if we do, the humans will invade us when we're at our weakest point."
Recieving a nod of understanding, she looks back to the explosions as it gets smaller from every second they're moving. Now that she fullfill her dreams, Midori must focuses her most important objective of her life: to give Zero her heart, for he has always been there when she needed someone to give her hope.
Knolla continues to read the book from behind the pikachu she madly loves, "you can turn the ship left and right if you spin the steering wheel." Mega spins to the right, causing the ship to shift the same direction, "where are we gonna go from here?" Mega asks as he struggles to look where he's going.
"I don't know but we should get someone taller to steer this ship."
Mega laughs in agreement to this and goes back to the microphone, "Striker, I need you in the control room," he announces.
Genis, Fast Star, and Lock On decides to help out Mega after their swim on the hot water tub.
They take the stairs to the control room to see the pikachu, "should we do something too?" Genis asks, only to receive a head shake from Mega.
"Sorry guys, but we don't know anything yet about operating this thing yet," he explains, "so why don't you guys go to the cafeteria and eat something." The three likes the idea, considering they were getting a little hungry and race to that destination.
Strikers walks up the set of stairs to the control room but almost got ran over by the oshawott, torchic, and buizel in the process, "what the?" He shakes the sudden event off his head and continues to go speak to the pikachu leader, "what is it you need?"
The pikachu leader smiles, "I need you to steer the ship," making the sawk confuse, "why me?"
"Because you're the only one tall enough to do this, Knolla and I will explain how it works."
Rose and Beauty are having a blast at the dressing room, trying on different sets of clothes with Mee Mee and Happy, "I think this fits you perfectly, Rose," Happy carries a dress to the buneary.
Rose struggles taking off the black and yellow dress she already has on because she has to untie it from the back, but with Mee Mee's help, she manages to take it off. She looks at the dress she was just offered: it's a purple and pink dress with a red skirt, but what made her smile the most, is that there's a flower-shaped crest built on the center of it that sparkles nicely under the lights. She happily puts it on through the hole below the skirt as the others smile at her flower obsession.
When she was finished, she looks at a mirror to see her own reflection, fits perfectly on her as the skirt reaches the ground to her exact feet level, the sides hugs her comfortably, and it truly brings out the brown color in her eyes.
"Wow, you look wonderful in that dress!" Beauty exclaims, then she looks at the dress she has on, "but I think I'll just stick with just a scarf for right now." Taking the dress off she has on, she puts on a white scarf to settle with.
"Thanks," Rose appreciates the compliment and turns to the two happinys before her, "is it okay if I keep this?"
The two happinies smile as they happily reply, "of course, we can't fit into it anyways."
Midori decides to give Zero a visit after the view of seeing the explosion is gone, she presses a panel buttom to open the door to his room, only to see him asleep while being healed by a violet-colored audino. "Maybe this isn't the best of times," she whispers to herself before stepping back and closing the door in front of her.
"More please!" The three says in unison as they finished their third serving and holding the plate for more, making the chanseys sweatdrop at the scene, "c-coming right up."
While waiting for fourth, the three decide to talk more, "we should train after this," Fast Star plans, "I want to be stronger so I can beat Mega."
Lock On gives a questioning look, "is he really that strong?"
The two can understand if it's because of the type disadvantage, but he's very competitive when it comes to the mouse pokemon, "let me put it to you two this way: we've destroyed part of a lake area and got banned from Pokeball Forest because of it."
This shocks the two as their next course came in, Genis looks at the deep-fried berries on his plate and decides to eat at a faster pace so he can train ahead the two.
"Hey, I'm getting the hang of this," Striker says as he steers the ship.
"Good, I'm going to rest so I'll let Diggy lead this time," Mega yawns and walks out of the room, until a hand grabs his. He turns to see only Knolla's eyes, this is the first time he ever sees them and found that her eyes are green as emeralds.
"You can't sleep yet, according to the book, when the generator bar is low the generator needs to be charge by electricity." He snaps back to reality as he hears this and sighs as Knolla leads him to the generator room.
"How can humans walk in these?" Rose asks herself as she pulls the front of the skirt to walk properly. Beauty decided to stay behind and pick out more outfits that looks better on her, leaving the buneary to walk alone to find Mega. She finds him following Knolla with his arms cross over his head and an impatient look on his face, "hey Mega," she waves to the pikachu as she walks up to them.
Mega hears a familiar voice from the side, stops walking, and looks at the direction with a smile, "hey Ro-". But was interrupted when he sees Rose in a beautiful purple, pink and red dress that brings out the sparkles in her adorable, brown eyes.
"W-Wow! You look... you look..." he blushes heavily at the sight before him and finds himself unable to say another word. Why is he stuttering? Throughout his entire life, he never stuttered before, especially Rose of all pokemon... so why is he now?
Rose notices the blush and not being able to utter another word and uses this opportunity to finally confess her feelings for him, "what?" She walks closer to reach his face with her paws, "it's okay to say the next word, I won't get mad."
Mega feels the soft touch of her paws touching his face and looks into her eyes, calming him down and finishing the last word, "beautiful."
She pulls him into a hug for the compliment with her face burning up, "thank you," she loosen up the hug to look into his black, round eyes.
Mega could see the true sparkles in her eyes as he did the day they were at the library, but this time, it looks far more beautiful than the stars in the night skies themselves. The two could embrace each other closer to a familiar feeling they had that day as well.
However for Rose, fate decides not to let her have Mega's heart today as an angry togetic flies up to them, "Mega! I thought I told you to recharge the generator!" She grabs the back of his neck and pretty much drags him across the floor.
"We'll hangout later, okay?" Rose hears him shout as he was on his back. After they disappear among the halls to the generator room, Rose sighs at how close she was at winning his heart... they weren't even close enough to kiss yet this time and she blames Knolla for that. She wish it could just be the two of them alone... wait maybe they can, he just said they'll hang out later and she smiles at her next chance.
Knolla sighs at the real reason why she got angry like that: because Mega is falling in love with Rose. Out of the three girls, Rose has the lead to winning his affection and was about to use that dress to win him over.
She enters the generator room with him, "Uh," she hears the pikachu she's dragging behind, "as much as I like being choked and dragged across the floor like this but," his face has a look of anger and annoyance, "CAN YOU LET GO OF ME NOW!?" Great, now she's the last pokemon he wants to fall in love with, so she lets go.
Regaining composure, the electric-type mouse walks to the generator, "how do I recharge the stupid generator?"
"According to the manuel, you have to send elecriticity to the generator over there."
Mega looks at the direction she's pointing at and finds a slow-moving machine, "Thunderbolt!" He charges electricity from his cheeks before sending the electric attack to his target. The slow-moving machine starts spinning in a much more accurate speed, "done, now I'm off to bed!" With that, the enraged pikachu starts stomping the ground towards the room he called dibs on. She must've REALLY messed this one up.
"Diggy, we need you in the control room," Striker announces in the microphone.
Soon enough the swinub walks inside the destination, "what do you want?" Diggy yawns as he asks the question due to just finish taking a good, dirt-nap in his room. He figured that since it's his room he can do whatever wants to do to it, so he covered it with dirt.
"I need you to lead to where we're going," Striker says as he steers.
"We don't have anywhere to go in particular, so we should just drive to avoid any trouble."
Striker sees what he means by that and turns the ship right, "do we have a name for this ship yet?"
Diggy thinks about it, "I can't name the ship unless the other two agrees to it." With that, they focus back to the driving, hoping to find a destination soon.
