an: Next chapter will be the last. I had thought to write a few, and see a baby, but it seems the story has run its course. When a proposal cant garner more than 3 reviews, it is a clear sign. Thanks for those few people who kept their promise to support fluff. Hopefully I will be inspired to start a new story in the future.
Summer had come and Harry headed to the coast with Bree, Remus, and Teddy. He had enjoyed the first year of teaching and happy with his choice. He and Draco were planning their second trip together since they began dating. Harry had invited him to come to France to visit Bill and his in laws. He was told Victoire was missing her Uncle and Harry had been missing them. Draco could admit he was a bit nervous himself. He was reminded Harry had faced Blaise for the wedding. Besides, the Weasley boys had been very vocal of their support of Draco and Harry. It would be a family vacation this time. Bree would be coming with them, of course to see her Uncle, but it would change the dynamic as well. Draco didn't mind. Even if they were going on a real trip, and not to see Bill. He was intent on a future with Harry, that was clearer with every passing day, and that included Bree. They planned on taking a few days and going to Canada after France. Remus and Teddy did not come to France but were coming to Canada. France had gone well, and Bill was true to his word, in support of Draco. The Delacaurs were as warm as usual to Harry and to his guest. He was reminded he got to be home, and have Bree there, because of Francois' help.
It felt odd, leaving for Canada from the Delacaur estates. Harry had not been back to Canada since his return home. He still owned the home and wanted to return for a visit. Draco had not seen much when he was there, and Harry wanted to see more than he had.
Draco smiled when Harry suggested a day trip. "Somewhere in mind?"
Harry nodded. "I was thinking we could head to Calgary."
Remus smiled. "The zoo."
Draco looked at Remus. "Are you coming?"
Remus shook his head. "No. I have plans."
Draco was surprised. "Plans?"
Severus appeared. "He means me."
Draco was still stunned. "I didn't know you came."
Remus smiled. "Not his first visit here."
Draco smirked. "Could make it a double date with kids."
Severus smirked. "I will leave the zoo up to you."
Teddy looked up. "Zoo?"
Harry picked up his little brother. "Don't worry monkey, you are coming."
Remus looked at Draco. "Unless you…."
Draco laughed. "Good practice."
Harry blushed as he realized what Draco meant. He hoped one day they would marry and give Bree some sisters and brothers. Severus had been surprised by the invite but decide to come for a few days. They had turned down Harry's offer to come to the zoo, leaving the boys to it. But Teddy would enjoy the zoo as much as Bree would. The trip was meant to be a trial run at the three of them being a family. Severus coming had been seen as a way of giving Harry and Draco the space. But Draco assured Harry, he was happy to have another kid come to the zoo.
Harry and Draco took the kids to the Calgary zoo for the day. Animals had been so popular with Bree at her birthday, it was a good choice. Teddy was a bit older and could enjoy even more. Harry smiled watching Draco with not only his daughter but with Teddy as well.
Harry turned to Draco as the kids were at story time. "I know this isn't too exciting."
Draco smirked. "Speak for yourself."
"Enjoying story time at the zoo?"
"Enjoying time with Bree and Teddy."
Harry pouted. "Just them?"
Draco kissed him. "Maybe you as well."
Harry smacked his arm. "Keep it up, and I will feed you to a hippo."
Bree turned as the story was over. "Hip?'
Teddy wondered. "Eat Drac?"
Harry laughed. "No, but I hear there is a feeding."
Draco winced. "Bit worried."
"Wouldn't want the hippos to get indigestion."
Bree held her hands up. "Dray."
Draco happily took her. "Well at least one Potter appreciates me."
Teddy went to Harry. "Harry."
Harry scooped up his little brother. "Appreciation enough to go around."
All joking aside, they had a great afternoon. They went to a few creature encounters where the kids got to touch and even feed some animals. After the petting zoo, Harry knew it would be a hit. They also went to a play zone, where Harry smiled, as he watched Draco on the slide with both kids. Draco was amazing with them both and Harry could picture more kids with him. They had a lunch and hit the gift shop before they headed back to the mountains. Severus and Remus relieved them of kid duty, as they were headed to Vancouver.
Draco smiled when they arrived. "At least you took me this time."
"This time?"
"You snuck away for breakfast."
Harry laughed. "Oliver was not convinced about you."
"Still not sure." Oliver's voice came.
Draco smirked. "Watch it or could say the same to Vik about you."
Harry hugged Oliver. "Surprised you were in town."
Oliver shrugged. "My old teammates wanted a bit of a reunion."
Viktor added. "And he convinced me to come."
Draco smirked as they went in. "I doubt it took much."
Viktor put him in a head lock. "Funny coming from you."
Harry looked at Oliver. "Maybe we had it right last time."
Oliver agreed. "We could ditch them now."
Draco turned. "You two dragged us to Canada, no ditching now."
It was all said in good humor. Of course neither Draco nor Viktor had been dragged to Canada on vacation. They had dinner at the restaurant Harry met Oliver for breakfast all that time ago. A lot had changed and of course for the better. Oliver's team here had just made the finals for their league championships, and he came for the game. Harry and Draco would be going as well. Though the day with the kids had been great, it was nice to have an adult dinner. Draco kind of felt on the side, but was reminded of him and Blaise, but at least he was friends with Viktor. Besides he liked the chance to get to know Oliver better. He and Harry did head out alone for ice cream and a walk later alone.
Draco kissed Harry goodnight later. "Today was amazing."
A few weeks later Draco was busy. He knew he and Harry had only been together a year, but he wanted to propose. He thought they would marry during Christmas break. Well that was if Harry said yes, and agreed to be his husband. He had help not only from his dad and Uncle, but Harry's family as well. Blaise and his husband were expecting, and Draco hoped he and Harry would add down the line as well. He hoped he was not rushing. It wasn't simply they had been dating only a year, but Fred. He was reminded Fred had died over two years ago. Harry would always love him, but he was ready to move on. George was the one to give Draco the final push, knowing how right it was the two were together. He knew his twin would smile, to see Harry marry the man he loved, with their daughter by his side. He had Bree's vote, she absolutely adored him.
He knew proposing on their vacation would have been romantic but had not been ready. He had not been sure he was right to do it yet. Besides, he knew Harry would love to have his loved ones there. And he would like to have his dad and Uncle, they were just as important in this.
It was the weekend before school. Harry was confused. "I thought we were headed to school."
Remus reminded him. "The elves will unpack."
Harry pointed out. "Staff meeting."
Draco shook his head. "That is Sunday."
Harry laughed. "I guess I have no excuses."
"You'd think we were sending you to torture." Remus smirked.
Draco agreed. "Not to go to the coast for the weekend."
Harry gave in. "No, it's not potions."
Severus had appeared. "Here I thought it was your favorite."
Harry kissed his boyfriend. "The teacher is growing on me."
Draco laughed. "If Minerva doesn't hurry up and retire, may be looking for a job."
Severus reminded him. "You have four years left as an apprentice."
Lucius shrugged. "Could always come work for me."
Draco shook his head. "I will stick to apprenticing. Business wasn't really for me."
Harry pouted. "I thought you liked business trips."
"There was one with a great reward." Draco assured him.
Lucius just smiled. "Employees can run it one day."
Lucius had never had a choice in career because of the war. He loved business though and he built Malfoy industries from almost nothing. Some families owned businesses as well as their vaults. Lucius had inherited mainly estates, vaults and such, and he had turned it into the company it was today. He was happy for his son to pursue his dream and his employees were fine to run the business one day. Watching Draco with Harry and Bree, he was even happier. He had a loveless arranged marriage, his son not only had a job he loved, but the man he loved and a child.
Harry felt a little off as he and Draco headed with Bree to the coast. They had been in London for the past few weeks, since coming home. Remus made the excuse he needed to finish some things, before he joined them.
Bree smiled. "San."
Harry laughed. "You want to make sand castles?"
Bree nodded. "Dray."
Draco took her. "Good choice."
Harry reminded Draco. "She has not had lunch yet."
Kreacher appeared. "Here master."
Draco smiled. "Seems that is covered."
Harry took the basket. "What is this about?"
Bree pointed. "San, San, Dada."
Draco motioned. "You heard your daughter."
Laughing Harry agreed. "Not to disappoint."
Bree saw one was already started. "Hog."
Harry was amazed. "It looks like the school."
Draco had a small smile. "Perhaps Bree was busy."
Harry was confused. "When?"
Draco shrugged. "You were doing errands yesterday."
Harry had left Bree with Draco the day before when he had gone into town. He had been confused when Draco had insisted on keeping her. He had said he was taking Bree to see Lucius. Lucius had become quite the doting grandfather, even if he wasn't yet, not just in planning birthdays. It seems Draco and Bree had been at the beach, and a huge sand replica of the school, stood before him. Bree happily showed him. You could tell she had been hands on. She quite proudly showed off blobs that were Fang, and Hagrid's hut and other important things to her.
Harry was surprised by lunch. "This is no picnic."
Draco shrugged. "Malfoy style."
Harry didn't buy it. "Lobster and wine if Malfoy style."
Draco had him sit next to where Bree was building. "Well since Hogsmeade is our next project, seemed fitting."
Harry realized the food was from the Three Broomsticks. "We could have just ate there."
Bree shook her head. "San."
Draco agreed. "The beach was better."
Harry gave in. "Nice to have the two of you."
As they ate Bree pointed. "Ball."
Harry was confused. "Already tired of sand?"
Bree pointed at the pitch. "Ball."
Draco noticed. "Has her daddy's eyes in more than one way."
Harry found a small snitch, even smaller than a practice. "What is this?"
Draco smiled. "Open."
Harry was confused. "I am not putting it in my mouth."
Draco laughed. "It opens like the toy ones."
Harry was shocked when he opened. "Is this…?"
Draco knelt. "You are the love of my life, you and your beautiful daughter that is. I can't imagine my life without you. Marry me."
Harry nodded. "Yes."
Draco slid the ring on and pulled Harry down into his arms for a long drawn out kiss. Bree broke them up, but they both took her into their arms. Harry watched Draco holding her, and he couldn't believe how happy he was. When he lost Fred, he was not sure he would ever be. But though Fred was his first love, and could have been his true love if he lived, Draco was his soul mate. He was amazed when Remus and Severus, Lucius, and all Harry's brother's friends and family appeared. It was an impromptu party, but Lucius was sure to plan a real one. Champagne was brought out and dinner waited as well. Harry was amazed Draco had included them all in the day. Lucius was already planning a dream wedding for them.
George made a toast to them both. "To Harry and Bree, and Draco on making my brother happier than any of us could hope for."
An: So the wedding is coming, like I said, keep on supporting and the fluff continues.
